Crossed over for the fourth time since the new building opened. At 1 PM it wasn't busy. Lady at the door sent me to station 6. Mostly young eager new people manning the booths. Fucking bad luck booth 6 has a typical middle aged asshole Mexican male agent. The three previous times the person at the booth filled out the form getting the info from my passport card. But the mother fucker asshole was bullshitting with the security guard and couldn't be bothered. Had to ask for a pen and when I was finished he had to finish his bullshitting with the guard before he would stamp my form. I went to get my passport card replaced at the county administration building. I asked if they will let you cross into Mexico with proof of passport application. She told me that they have heard they will let you pass with the application receipt, DL and copy of birth certificate. I will call the Mexican consulate when I have time.

I still walk to downtown in the afternoon even though the new building's exit leads you away from the direct route. If you also want to walk take the exit ramp from the new building and duck through the yellow tape at the end of the first ramp. Walk about fifty yards to the first parking lot and walk through it and exit to the walkway. You end up fifty yards from the stairs of the pedestrian bridge that goes over the right side lanes going into the USA This cuts about two blocks off the walk.

Was eating at a bar and grill today. Ate their special of the day. Three fish tacos with rice and beans and agua fresca. $5. Asked how much were their beers $2. 75. Delicious tacos and ice cold Tecate. The bill would have have $7. 75 if I paid in dollars. The total in pesos was 90 pesos. At the 16.27 pesos per dollar I received changing dollars for pesos just before the border that comes out to $5. 50. That's a difference of only $2. 25 but that's also a savings of 29%! Don't be lazy. Change your dollars and pay for everything in pesos.

Crossed into mexico for the first time since the new facility opened. It was pretty late 2-3 am (long night of partying). C3.I have stayed at most of the hotels in that area. Each was marginal, at best (IMHO). Uncomfortable beds. Not real clean. Small rooms. Non-working equipment (lights, microwave, WiFi). Noise from the trolley (Rodeway especially). One exception in San Ysidro is the Best Western, which is a few miles from any trolley stop but is much better than the ones closer to the border. For about the same price as that Best Western you can get Ticuan in Tijuana, which is very nice.

The only reason to stay in San Ysidro is if you need to make daily visits to the USA, or if you don't want to bring certain things into Mexico. Much nicer hotels in Tijuana for the same money.

I guess the Chinese tour groups have gotten the hang of the new entrance requirements. Crossed to San Ysidro today to do some banking. Did my stuff and returned to Tijuana. Entered the new building at about 2 PM and as usual there was a Chinese tour group lined up on the right side. The booths were busy too so the male immigration officer waved me to the Mexican national side so no need for the seven day pass. Walked downtown and there were at least two Chinese tour groups wandering around on Revolution. Walked around the Zona and didn't see anything to pique my interest. No sign of my Gilf. Stopped at Hotel Nelson and got a bucket of ten Coronitas. The price went up from 120 pesos to 150 pesos but of course the mesero swore it was still 120 until the bill came. Fuck their games with the prices. Mexico never changes. Gulped the ten beers in about half an hour. Lo and behold my Gilf was at her spot. Oh well I just turned 65 last week so lets see how that has changed my body. Went to the Hotel Campamento with my Gilf. When entering Mexico on foot at San Ysidro they now require a passport. However if you play ignorant they will most likely let you enter with a warning to bring it next time. If you enter by car or are by foot at Otay you will not need one.

So if you have a GE or Sentri card, disregard the line and just push your way through. Global Entry card is only $100, well worth the money if you go to Tijuana often.

Entering Mexico is a different matter. There you need a passport (or card) so you can get your visa.

Got with the spinner walker again yesterday. She has been on the run from some very unsavory characters who might have been trying to kill her over a misunderstanding. Been to Mexicali once and it was a wasted trip. Girls there think because you made a trip there you'll overpay for lower looks and service. Had a pm asking for my Tijuana experience and here's the unedited version. PMs are limited to 3000 characters so I had to trim a lot off this.

Ok, so here's the run down, and I'll paste this into the forum later for everyone.

Park at border crossing area. Typically it's free (street if you can find it) to about $10 for a day. You can find cheaper by driving a bit. If you can skip driving and take the red trolley I highly suggest it if you're not coming back after it stops running.

The new crossing is south end, behind the mc Donald's building. You'll get into a line where Mexican customs asks you to fill out a card stating your length of stay. If only a short time no big deal. I've gone through at 7 pm and had no line. Others have had a line. Walk out and around. Follow the crowd to top of sidewalk where taxis are and say "Adelitas cinco dollars?" He should say yes and usher you to his taxi. Only get in clearly marked taxis and don't pay anyone to close your door.

Talk to the cabbie. English may not be spoken but this is your chance to practice and it'll help you relax a bit. It's about a 10-15 min drive. Do not be alarmed by trucks with guys all black, barclavas over their heads and assault rifles. I'd also suggest you avoid eye contact and do not take picture to post on Facebook later. Do not give them a reason to be interested in you.

The cabbie will bust a uturn, pull over and you'll walk straight into Adelitas. Adelitas never charges a cover. To the right of Adelitas is Hong Kong and they will charge a cover of $5 on weekend evenings but this also covers your first beer. Beers at Adelitas are about $3. 50. The girls at Adleitas are usually $50 to go upstairs. Look around and look for clues. If they're wearing pants (eg jeans) then you can expect their legs will look really bad (scars, cellulite, etc). Get frisky. If they respond in a friendly way to a boob, butt grab, they're more likely fun. Feeling really frisky, slowly see how a fiv goes. I had one girl take my finger out, bring it up to her mouth and lick my fingers slowly. I can nut to this day (7 years later) thinking back to that trip.

Adelitas will be $12 for the room. Back in 2011 it was another $2 for towels, but when I went this last December 2015, I don't remember paying it, then again I was distracted by my evening friend who was super nice.

I always tip the guys who clean the rooms 1-2 $ as I leave the room. That's a shitty job so I appreciate their being there. Hong Kong is usually about the same for rooms however the girls are much different pricing. They'll try in some cases to get you up to $80-100 but if you speak Spanish, you can easily usually get it back to 50-60. If not, good luck and you may do just fine.

Come out and say "la lina cinco dollars?" Or just "border crossing 5 $?" And the cabbie will take you back. Again be nice and practice your espanol or drunken English. Kids may swarm to open your door and ask for tip. I don't. I just smile and keep walking. Generally this is always a good strategy when being asked for money. Just keep walking, don't engage.

When you leave Adelitas, and head towards Hong Kongs, if you keep walking to the curb there an awesome street vendor who tells tacos dirt cheap. Something around $1. 40 each. Go try it. You'll enjoy the show, there's often a street musician (I tip them if they're friendly, playing something nice) and this is usually where I will tip a street begger if I notice they're picking up trash from douchebags who throw their trash on the floor.

The line back greatly varies. Early December 2015, Friday night at 10:30 pm I walked directly up and no line. My friend a few weeks later said he was there about that time on a Saturday and it was 1-2 hours to walk back. Plan accordingly and expect to wait. Dress warmly so you don't regret misjudging your return wait. It's a lot colder late at night.

I use a passport card so I don't push my luck trying to cross with just a dl. These are federal workers with time to kill. I'd try to minimize the drama and have a passport. I got the feeling Mexico may start stopping you from entering if you don't have the right document to get back in the US.

That's about it! I can do a trip right around $80 total. I have some friends who are more $$ conscious who will go into Adeiltas, Hong Kongs, get all horny looking at he really hot girls and then go to the alley behind Hong Kong and hook up with a SW for about $20. You get very minimal service (I'm told, never done it yet) and the room is a little cheaper. So you could do a trip for just over $40 total if you're low on cash.

Unless you're a rival drug cartel, they will have no interest in you. If you go off the unbeaten path you MAY have someone ask for all your money in your wallet.

However, the major violence was back around 2009 when turf wars broke out and the Mexican president declared war on the drug cartels. "Wars on" anything rarely go well. Those days are over. I really only see the cabbies and other locals get harassed by the police for mundane stuff like pulling a you turn in the wrong spot in front of Adelitas.

Stick to the main spot, use clearly marked taxis and you will be just like the 1,000's who pass daily back and forth with nothing but good memories and maybe a stinky pinky ha!

My observations have been that Tijuana is green friendly. Caucasian, Asian, Afro, whatever, green trumps all.Been going for over 30 years & that's the single, most consistent observation I've had. Common sense and the rules you'll see mentioned here even got me safely through a ton of visits in the '08-10 rough times there.

DEA, DHS, and a few other agencies are likely to make you a week-long project. If you have a room in a hotel that services a bar, the girls in that bar can go to your room (and probably will). Just returned from 10 days in Veracruz during Carnaval and 2 days dodging Pope Francis madness in Mexico City. Walked the Zona Wed. And Thur. Rocket.If you have a debit card from a credit union the exchange fee will probably be lower than a bank debit card. My credit union charges $2 atm fee and 0. 9% exchange fee. Banks charge more for the atm fee and 3% exchange fee. I use the HSBC atm at the HSBC Bank on Revolution and second street and their atm fee is 33.25 pesos. Even after those three fees I receive a rate of. 20 to. 80 pesos more per dollar than the money exchange places charge for selling back pesos for dollars so at a maximum of $500 withdrawal that's a profit of 100 to 400 pesos in a matter of minutes. Probably not profitable if you only have a bank debit card. Since I live in Rosarito two thirds of the time I do this almost daily in Rosarito or use this as added motivation to go into Tijuana besides mongering. LOL. I've kept a running tab on my profits doing this past year and the total is close to 50,000 pesos. The only thing is after four times I have $2000 cash I need to deposit back into my credit union so I can do it all over again.

Is it hard to get a room on a Friday night, thanks a lot for the info.The only one I have Friday night experience with is Hotel Cohuilla (Adelitas). Got there one Friday at 6:00 pm And the over night rooms were all gone. From other Tijuana specific boards, I have read that all the hotels associated with bars are jammed up on weekends.

Probably not an issue with hotels not associated with bars, although I'd guess you have to get there before 7:00 pm.

Do: Treat the ladies like girl friends and you'll get a better experience.

If you don't have the proper credentials for him, there might be the possibility you get turned back. I wouldn't go over without passport or passport card, but I like to keep life simple.

So the exchange rate is like a whopping 18+ (309/17. 07). Hope I did the math right.Did you check to see if be of A charged you a foreign currency transaction fee on top of the $17.07? You need to figure that into the math but certainly better than the 17.15 most of the exchange places were offering for your dollar.

I went to the zona earlier this year. The changes are. They are doing the same thing when cross back to the us. They are doing the same thing. When you cross over into mexico. They have a border crossing station. You have to bring your passport or passcard and show it to the mexican immigration cop. They will tell you how long are you staying in mexico. Depending what time you go. It will only take a few minutes of your time. If you are staying less than seven days. There is no charge. But if you are staying more than seven days. There is a fee. I don't know what it is.

However, they denied sb. Did so and even told me the manager was not present. It is better for me to come back later. I was not satisfied with their manner. Finally, they called in a captain in charge. The captain said I might make mistake: possibly the staff was knocking the other door and I mistake it as mine. Although, the hotel and the club belong to the same group, they are managed by separate administration. Dissatisfied with it, I came back 2 days later and finally saw the manager (A). The manager seems nice. He called in another guy (B) and finally offers me one night stay for free. Although, the manager gave me a voucher (free stay), I did not use it even now. Actually, I am not asking for compensation, it is just their manner that matters!

In late Feb, I went to HK again and went to the hotel with one girl. We negotiated everything beforehand. But the trick happened again. In the room, she would not allow kiss just a few minutes later. Actually, she approached me several times when I was there before, asking for $120-100. I just shrugged off it. This time, she approached me again and promised that she would offer me the best time for (1400 peso + $5). I also specifically told her "beso con lengua (french kiss). She told me that I can do anything upstair. Thus I agreed. I was not happy since she refused to honor what was agreed. I left $5 on the table (1400 peso already paid once in the room), saying I would complain it. She stopped me and yelled outside. In a while, the guy (B) in the uniform with"security" showed up. He would not listen to me and just claimed that I was a trouble-maker since it is the 2nd time. What? I've visited here for over 20+ times in barely 5 months, that is barely 10% complaint rate. He dragged me in the room and talked with the girl in Spanish. I totally had no idea what they were talking. Suddenly, the girl charged forward to hit me on the chest. I pushed her away, asking her to calm down. Then, the security (B) suddenly acted in mad, saying that I was beating the girl. I asked him if he saw the girl hit me and I just defended myself. He said he only saw I was "beating" the girl. Then, he dragged me outside, pushing hard my arms upward and forcing me against the corner. He even threatened to put me in jail. In the mean time, the girl robbed me another $5, since she claimed that I did not pay her the remaining balance. (I've already paid 1400 pesos, why would default a small $5? She tipped the guy (B) and kicked me and left. Of course, the guy (B) ignored all this. It was not until another staff showed up that be finally behaved normally. They called in many other persons and talked in Spanish and did not even give me an opportunity to explain the situation.

It was a terrible experience. The security (B) colluded with the girl and beat me in the corner and the room (no camera). He even slandered that I would not pay and just ask for compensation. That is ridiculous! I earn a decent income. I SPEND MONEY FOR FUN, NOT FOR TORTURE.

I complained it to HK admin. It is because I still trust they, as a reputable company, know how to conduct business in a honest manner. It is a shame they treated (insulted & threatened) me this way.

There is no point in going for Sentri anymore. The best option is Global Entry. You pay $100, you don't have to supply any reason why you want it.

The catch with it is that you have to have a clean record. Any arrests, etc, automatically disqualify you. Also, if you were ever caught / challenged about bringing in goods from another country in the past, you will be disqualified, even though you were not arrested but they made you pay duty. It is only for the squeaky clean folks with no record. Like me, breaking the law for over 30 years fucking ho's, LOL.

Once they clear you, you have to go for an "interview". This is really nothing to worry about, the interview is simply where they explain the program to you and the rules for keeping your nose clean. The hardest part of this whole process is that you have to schedule the interview, which can take months in some areas.

For the life of me, I don't know why anyone would rather wait in line for 2 hours than pay $100 to get through in minutes, or even seconds in my last visit.

I suggest you go over to the International Sex guide and read up on Tijuana, lots more info there. Don't book a hotel in Tijuana! Booking hotels is something I would never recommend to a newbie. Fucking rateros will eat you alive, they can smell you from a mile away and prey on you, especially at night. You better get back over the border before late at night. It is much better for a newbie to avoid going at night anyway, best to go during the day to learn the ropes.

There is no point in identifying certain SG's in my opinion. The variety changes every day. During the day, you can see them better, and less risk overall. In the small area of the ZR, there will be 50+ SG's lining the two main streets, so you will have plenty to choose from.

Speak Spanish? I suggest you go over to the International Sex guide and read up on Tijuana, lots more info there. Don't book a hotel in Tijuana! Booking hotels is something I would never recommend to a newbie. In a nutshell, Sentri is an old outdated program for expedited crossing to / from Mexico. There is no point in going for Sentri anymore. The best option is Global Entry. You pay $100, you don't have to supply any reason why you want it.

The catch with it is that you have to have a clean record. Any arrests, etc, automatically disqualify you. Also, if you were ever caught / challenged about bringing in goods from another country in the past, you will be disqualified, even though you were not arrested but they made you pay duty. It is only for the squeaky clean folks with no record. Like me, breaking the law for over 30 years fucking ho's, LOL.

Once they clear you, you have to go for an "interview". This is really nothing to worry about, the interview is simply where they explain the program to you and the rules for keeping your nose clean. The hardest part of this whole process is that you have to schedule the interview, which can take months in some areas.

For the life of me, I don't know why anyone would rather wait in line for 2 hours than pay $100 to get through in minutes, or even seconds in my last visit.So, will Global Entry get you through Mexican security and in to Tijuana? Or, would I have to bring my passport booklet along for that?

So, will Global Entry get you through Mexican security and in to Tijuana? Or, would I have to bring my passport booklet along for that?Per other monger reports from international sex guide, your global entry will not get you into Mexico. I got my 6-month visa back in September using my passport and about $20 cash. Since then I just show my visa after entering Mexico and follow the winding path thru the random inspection section and to the taxi area.

The global entry is for re-entry into USA. Last night it saved me about 2 hours returning to USA. The night before it saved nothing.

I still carry my passport but haven't shown it to anyone since September. Just the visa has worked so far.

My biggest use of global entry has been domestic airport security. If you give your airline your GE information they will give you a boarding pass that allows use of the TSA pre screened line. Much easier and faster than the standard line. It might save you no time on one flight but save you 45 minutes on the next flight. Regardless of what it actually saves, I can now arrive at the airport 45 minutes later than I would without global entry.

This is true, Global Entry won't help going into Mexico. But I have never had a time issue going in. Plus, I have a passport card which is easier to carry. I was always worried about carrying the bulky passport, so that is why I got the card.

Also, the passport card avoids the stamp in your passport, a big plus for those with SO's at home with prying eyes.

Second time to visit Tijuana, and went much better from my perspective. Only weird this was that my cab driver looked exactly like my mother. Had to tip her extra just for the guilt of telling my mother I was going to a brothel.

I heven't been in a while, but a friend who goes constantly told me they will let you back into the US if you have a DL to go with your expired passport, are obviously an american citizen and have an apologetic tone, but this is not first hand advice. I agree. You're mainly proving you are a US citizen, and an expired passport doesn't mean you're no longer an American. It has your picture and they can verify identity with it. So, I'd cross over too, but just be ready for the trip back to be a slight PITA.

Hey, worse case, you have to wait a few hours to get back into the USA. Or, worse yet, you piss off the grumpy agent whose wife didn't give him any nookie last night or the dyke agent on a mission to punish mongers and they make you go to the consulate to get a new passport. Either way, you WILL get back home sometime. So, no, you won't be stuck in Tijuana forever, although, there may be worse fates.

I don't have a quick fix for you but there is a lot to be said for passing the general line, passing the USA citizen's line (with passports) and going straight to the no-wait fast line.

You can get a passport in a day. It takes some work but it can be done.

This is true, Global Entry won't help going into Mexico. But I have never had a time issue going in. Plus, I have a passport card which is easier to carry. I was always worried about carrying the bulky passport, so that is why I got the card.

I got mine in 2010 and use it very frequently. Last time, back in Devember, I just walked up, handed the card to DHS officer and came right in (after answering a few questions about my home city). Mexican immigration had no problems when that's all I showed going in.

When I go I to Mexico, I leave everything well hidden in my car (no, its not on steering column, center console, under floor mat or glovebox) and ONLY carry 2 $5's, some 20's, 5 $1's, 2 $10 bills and my passport card. Nothing else. No wallet. No phone.

The $5's are for the taxi (one each way) and in a different pocket than the rest. This way if I'm mugged, I still have taxi money back. The $10 and two $20's are for the evenings entertainer, and the $10 plus $1's are to pay for the room ($10-$15 for Adelitas).

This has been my standard ops procedure for over a decade. I do of course bring my car keys and its usually in same pocket at taxi money. It is sorta a PITA logistically to have exact denominations but I do this to avoid situations where Im shortchanged when getting return change. The optimal combination is passport card and Global Entry card. You are back and forth in minutes, versus hours. Last several times I went, the line for people without Sentri or GE was back to the bridge, probably 2-3 hours wait. I walked right up to the Sentri inspector, no wait at all.

My time is much more valuable than to stand in line for a few hours. And I don't go to Tijuana that often anymore since I moved out of town and only come back for family visits.

The cost of Global Entry is only $100 and is good for 5 years. For the cost of a BP lay in the US, you can get a card that gives you unfettered access to cheap pussy on the other side. Why anyone that frequents Tijuana hasn't bought the card is beyond me.

So learning experiences today. Wasnt planning on mongering anytime soon (apologies to the 2 people whove PM'd about going) but I was hungry and a sweet looking spinner in NC planted the idea. I been going down to Tijuana since those parking lots were 5 dls for 24 hrs any day of the week. I need to find another alternative. Any suggestions?? Moe.

I checked the sdmts website for hours of parking at the Palm ave station and it says that one can park up to 24 hours. After that you would be ticketed or towed. NC / ECB has been a ghost town recently so I've been making a lot more trips to Tijuana. I usually catch an Uber from my house to the CV trolly and then walk across the border. If you get to the border before rush hour there is little or no wait, even with the new cards they are making us fill out.

Last trip enjoyed 4 different girls from the back alley, ranging from 7 to 9 on the looks scale. I like girls with curves (big tits and round asses) and have never been disappointed by the selection. They don't seem to have much in the way of BBWs, which most of you will probably be happy about. I do enjoy the occasional BBW.
