Passing through so decided to take my non-local visiting friend there. Never had a bad experience there. But have now had a disappointing experience. Sometimes you win, occasionally you lose.
It was a Sunday night about 10 pm so I'd expect it to be a little quieter than a Friday or Saturday. Supposedly 12 girls were on the roll call for the night so it shouldn't be too shabby. Doorman was quite friendly, took our $20 each, patted us down, and warned us not to even use our phones (IIRC you previously could use them, just not do anything that even remotely looked like you were taking photos). Inside only one other punter, and only 1-2 others turned up while we were there.
Long gaps between dances which was plenty of opportunity for girls to come over and offer dances. I like to watch for a bit first, so politely declined each. None of the dances were too shabby, though none of the girls were "wow" (I have been here several times before and there has always been a few that fit that description IMHO), so my friend and I just sat and talked.
Eventually we decided to at least throw a few dollars on the stage on the next dance, if not get a lapdance. But just before we got up to sit at the stage another lady came over, a bit older (mamasan?) and told us, smiling at first, that we looked completely fucking bored. Well, we were a bit, to be honest. Nothing like staring at an empty stage for long periods of time punctuated only occasionally by another dance. In fact we were there for an hour and only saw 3 dances, not all nude, plus one full line up (but only a handful present at a time, not all of them! Anyway, said to her we were planning on a dance but not just yet. For whatever reason the smile left her face and she started swearing at us while wandering off in a huff. Very uncomfortable. I'm not angry; just disappointed at what was probably only one bad egg's attitude.
There was really only one thing to do then: leave. I've been pressured before but it's usually been good natured. And I usually end up having a dance or two. Next time: maybe elsewhere. Upland is closer to me anyway. :

Odds of finding friendly dancers and a constantly busy stage would be much, much higher there. SRCOI is infamous for snotty unfriendly dancers clustered at the fireplace or hiding in the back. So I set aside everything that I read here and these are my observations about my 2 hours in Synn last night:
- There were 20 give or take girls and about a dozen guys, little to no push to buy an overpriced drink for the the dancers unless one would sit down with you.
- I was surprised at the quality of the girls, of course no 10's in the bunch not even a solid 8 but there were 3 that were attractive and doable for my taste.
- The music is 100% hip-hop and must admit that a few of the dancers were very good on stage and could move erotic enough to gain my attention.
- Took the 3 for $40 lap dance twice with 2 different girls, both allowing fondling of their naked bodies albeit with some rules.
- Every one in the club knows the purpose and intent and the girls will do everything possible for you to commit to a private VIP.
- I took a 23 yo dancer, forget the stage name, a black slender girl to the VIP for 30 min. , we negotiated everything beforehand, she started at 200 and we settled in at 120 FS.
- The VIP room are very very dark with a small couch, as soon as we got in the room were got naked, she explained some of her rules, and after a few positions I nutted.
The total damage spent last night was 350 dollars give or take, I just wanted to experience a club after an absence of 15 years, I don't have any reason to return as there are many other options out there.

God I love this club.Definitely spent someones rent between Paradise, Bliss and Synn in the course of a week. 3 VIPs, a 3 for 40 at Paradise, 1 VIP at Bliss and 2 VIPs at Synn. 6 FS VIPs in total. I have no regrets.
Synn is definitely the best place to go during the day. Been there two times and there were around 30 girls both times. Quality varies but lots of real hotties for sure especially if you like Asian girls. Got 4 cheap dances and was propositioned explicitly twice.
Spearmint Rhino down the street has some good quality girls but they are sparse. That wouldn't be so much of a problem except the girls sit talking amongst themselves or end up monopolized in the VIP rooms.
Deja Vu has decent quantity of girls and action but lower quality. Probably best place for someone on a budget. I sat on one of the couches but was told I had to pay to sit there. So I moved to a chair but then they told me I couldn't use my phone. I left.
Paradise is the sure bet to get action but the quality is almost exclusively BBW's. Place is too dark as well. Probably to hide the lower quality.

The 3/$40 area is now where some of the VIP booths used to be, and it is "U" shaped so that the PL across from you can see everything. I don't think that the bouncers even actually go in there tho. Never seen one anywhere but at the front of the room where you pre-pay. There are still VIP booths next to this area and the VIP area behind the bar is still there. The area where the old 3/$40 area is now more bench seating.

Paradise has its own unique qualities and flavor even with the new setup. The truly devoted Paradise customers who drop 90% of the club's revenue will not be deterred. They have however lost one of their unique aspects. That they were the only club I know of where a PL could occasionally obtain VIP-style service in a standard lap dance area. Back in the day that could happen in Tropical Lei and Hawaii before they went to the VIP room concept, but in recent years, only Paradise as far as I know. That will rarely be happening now, though I suppose it will from time to time during very slow times when the area is mostly deserted. Actually I believe that most of the rogue lap dances were eliminated when Paradise finally dropped its ridiculously high VIP prices and installed a price scale that is competitive with the other COI area clubs. Anyway, it's not as if Synn offers any real privacy in its regular dance area, especially if you're seated in front of one of the large mirrors which project your lap show to your neighbors. So Synn will not fill any void that the new arrangement at Paradise has created.

I've only been going to Paradise and Synn since early 2017 so I have no idea what Paradise use to look like. Got one lap dance at Paradise and yeah you can see the guy across from you getting a dance but if you're girl is any good it's not a deal breaker. To me at least. I'm the type that's going straight to VIP anyway like Loverrgrl said.

Which was something like 40 for the dance and 20-40 for the girl for whatever action I decided to partake in.
I almost never took girls to the VIP for extras, since I knew I could get what I wanted with the right girl without having to cough up an extra benji for nothing. You can find all sorts of action with a girl of your choice for that price in a non-rushed setting where you can take your time.
As Lovergrrl said, a great business decision from the management. Not so good for guys looking to stretch the mileage per dollar.
Also, supposedly the Seventh Veil in Hollywood is the same ownership as Synn. I stopped by out of boredom with a buddy of mine just before the New Years. Highly suggest sticking to Synn, it was something ridiculous for $250 for 30 min VIP at the Seventh Veil and $100 for 10 min. There was this good looking girl named Baby that was walking around with butt plug that she was showing off on stage. Didn't get an opportunity to take her to the back but I'm 95% sure there's rarely any extras in the Seventh Veil.

Stay safe.I would hit paradise on a wed. For the $80 VIP. While I'm not normally a VIP guy. I found best to negotiate the service you want. (don't be shy these girls are HM) Claim you are on a tight budget and if its slow she will be more than happy to do a VIP and not expect a tip if you play it right.
Finally tried Synn, Friday nights are packed. Saw Kelly, asian with DDs but she got swooped up fast. Anyone tried her before? Want to try heading back again to spot here. She seems to only work Fri. Man, I hate to rain on your parade, especially as you probably get enough rain already, being from the Midwest, but the idea of finding "want to be porn stars" in LA is just as unlikely for us as it is for you. If you only have a couple of days, just go to COI. SRCOI may have the most consistently hot girls, but it's also the most expensive. The other clubs, you can research here. Synn is almost as consistent as SRCOI.
There are clubs in Orange County. They are actually decent, but nothing compared to COI. Go to the Orange County board for a full rundown.
Keep in mind that SoCal is not the Midwest: We are a lot more ethnically diverse here. In many clubs, white girls are the minority. Some guys like that, others, not so much. If you embrace diversity, you will be fine.
