Thanks for the warning. Always better to be safe than sorry, especially if you're TOFTT. It might have been LE. Might not. If it was, you should read about the sting results in your local news. They usually do press releases for publicity on how good a job they're doing and for the deterrent benefit these ops are supposed to produce.
A local monger recently reported a probable sting after he responded to a BP ad and the provider asked "what service are you interested in?" He said no provider would ever ask that question. Well, I had seen the provider before so I know she was real. She was just being business-like with him. And I've also been asked that exact question before by other providers who were real.
It's not unusual to get asked very specific questions. Real providers are just as worried about a sting as we are. I've been asked what kind of car I'd be driving so the provider could check me out from a window before giving me the actual address. I always text specific questions to new providers because I don't want to waste a trip to find out they don't offer what I want. I try to assess whether she's real or not based on the responses. Overly accommodating is a red flag because it could be LE or she's just saying yes to anything to get you to show up. Even if it isn't LE, it could be a setup for a ripoff. You develop a sense for it after a while, just like you learn how to tell the difference between real and fake pics in ads.

Some similarities to an incident I had which I've been meaning to write up:
Recently on Boulder I pulled into the Smart & Final. No women hanging out and was about to pull out when I hear a woman shouting something.
A heavy 45-55 ish woman moving towards the car, she asks me if she can get a ride to Boulder Station. I was about to head home going that way. It's the next property, but she tells me her heel broke on one shoe, her feet are killing her, bla bla, "Please. Recently on Boulder I pulled into the Smart & Final. No women hanging out and was about to pull out when I hear a woman shouting something.
A heavy 45-55 ish woman moving towards the car, she asks me if she can get a ride to Boulder Station. I was about to head home going that way. It's the next property, but she tells me her heel broke on one shoe, her feet are killing her, bla bla, "Please. Just give me a ride to Boulder Station" - I took a few seconds to consider it but she instantly said "Thank you" and raced around the front of the car to the passenger door, even though I'd never said it was ok.
So I thought "What's the harm?" so I let her in.
As soon as I'm rolling she's popping her huge boobs out, "I'm not a cop, look, I'm not a cop, let's have a date, how much have you got".
So she's carrying on like this and I'm pulling into Boulder.
She's also on the phone a few times. She says it's her sister and they're sharing the room at Boulder Station. And on the final call she's telling the person on the phone "I'm pulling into Boulder Station now. With my friend.".
I told her I didn't have enough money and she said "Well, how much do you have? I said $18 or $23 and she said "Well, that'll have to do" so I was reluctant to deal with her to begin with and now something is clearly wrong, and I'm noticing the holes in the leotard she's wearing.
So I pull around to valet in front and tell her "OK, get out and I'll park" to get her out of the car, planning to take off.
She says "I need money to renew my room". I told her no.
"Well then I'm not getting out".
"Lady, you're not getting a cent. Get out.".
"NO.".
I leaned over and she could tell what was coming and grabbed with both hands onto a handle above the passenger door (she'd opened her door) and she must have had a lot of experience. I couldn't budge her.
Then she said "If you don't give me the $23 you have for my room, I'll tell the police you raped me.".
The front valet area was deserted, but then a valet appeared.
"Call security. This woman asked me for a ride over, and now won't get out of the car.".
"OK.".
Like that she was out of the car and rapidly heading to the door of the hotel, opens the door, and just then a black pimp appears (her "sister"). She tells him "He just called for security" and she goes into the hotel.
"Why'd you call security?" the pimp quietly asks. He's standing on the passenger side of the car, I'm standing by the driver's door. I ignore him, and he disappears before a bicycle security guard appears who I tell the story to and give a description of her.
My phone had been on the front divider but when the hassling had started I'd put it in my pocket.
Before I pulled out I checked a half dozen times some bags I'd had on the passenger side before she got in which I'd put on the back seat, but all was there.
I checked and re-checked to see if she'd damaged the car seat or anything else but no.
Everything was ok.
So now before I start cruising I lock the glove box and make sure the car is empty.
I'm sure that "Not getting out of the car" scam works fairly often. Someone may have a sensitive job or a wife / significant other, and be afraid somehow this will hit the papers when the police show. Or maybe have an outstanding warrant or just want to avoid the cops for many reasons.
I run bad on Boulder Highway, as a few years ago I had something similar happen. I picked up a young woman, didn't arrive at a deal and she wouldn't get out and said she'd call the cops. It wasn't a rape scam but that I owed her money for her time (her time of a few minutes when we spoke driving down Boulder). I pulled onto a side street, pulled into an empty parking lot, took the key out of the ignition, looked at her, she looked at me, and I threw open my door and raced around to grab her, and a second after I made my move she was out of the car and running around the car to avoid me catching her.
At least one poster here wrote of a similar "I'm not getting out of the car unless you give me money" situation with a hooker where they didn't strike a deal.

New to this site, I thought I could provide some insight as well since I've been on the scene for a few years now. I've been seeing this girl recently. She's off Charleston and LVBLVD area. Turns out that they are running a cash and dash scam in the parking lot.
After the girl gets the money, she runs back into the apartment complex on East Karen.
This is in the Nellis / East Sahara area across Boulder Highway.
They have recently changed Phone numbers in their ads.

They have a sexy picture of course. They then ask for you to join a site to show you are legal age (doesn't that one smell?) and that you arent a criminal. The site asks for your credit card number, and personal info. Don't ever give your credit card number to these scammers, and if you don't respond, they just keep emailing you to reply. Don't do it.

I do keep pepper spray discretely hidden and have used it to deal with skanks like that. It only happened to me once. But it works quite well and is legal.

Suggestion:
Next time meet her in the lobby (if you're at paid lodgings), even if you gave her your room number when she arrives let her knock on your room door, then when she calls to ask where you are tell her you always meet in the lobby first.
Sound her out. Make sure there's no "show up" fee. If there's the slightest hesitation tell her goodbye. Get security over if she won't let you escape. You did not call her for sex, but for a massage, if you have to explain to security / police.
In the room, tell her once you're both undressed you'll pay her the $50. Kick her out if she won't accept. Get security etc. if necessary.

Not that anyone will particularly care, but I've formally decided to to stop trolling craigslist. Not many years ago you could actually go on there to find a decent girl or some gems.
