We were not, in fact, all good. He walks through a driveway that cuts between two parts of the motel, next to the last room in their building, and kind of hides halfway around the mostly dark corner, but I can clearly see that he's still there, peeking out at the parking lot every so often. " While I'm watching this go down, I get a text with her room number.
Not wanting to potentially be forcibly relieved of my folding money, I start the car up, drive about a half a block up the street where I can do a u-turn at a light, and drive right up into their parking lot to get a good close look at the room numbers. I do a slow roll-by and confirm that the room he exited is the room she gave me, and depart the parking lot without ever stopping. A couple of minutes later my phone starts blowing up with "Where are you?" and "What's wrong?" which rapidly devolve into very hurtful messages questioning my ancestry. Always trust your spidey senses, gents. And never trust the guy hiding around the corner who's probably MacGyver'd a shiv out of a bar of soap and a meth spoon.
Found her FB page after I returned home. Boyfriend in FB photos looks very much like the person who left her room, as best as I could tell from across the street at night. Very similar build and style of dress.
