This is true, as I had a great experience the first time I visited one of these over a year ago. I got a great rub, BBBJ, and more. But on my return trip I was told the girl no longer worked there. So here's a quick summary of my experiences lately at the various places I've been. I'll save you some time and say that there was nothing but legit massages at any of the places I tried.
Rubshack: Like others, my experience with the Rubshack wasn't that great. I've been twice and both times the masseuses was super cute, but the massage left a lot to be desired. The first one was very light on the pressure and honestly just felt like she'd rather be doing anything than be there. The second time was better and was quite a solid massage, but nothing I haven't had elsewhere for less money. The whole "massage in bikini" thing has it's appeal I suppose but I don't know about you all but I spent 99% of my massage with my eyes closed. Location feels very shady. Mild teasing on the second visit, but nothing remotely close on the first.
Best Day Massage: Or whatever the new name for it is. Place looked clean and professional if a bit off the beaten path (for me, at least). I can't tell you how the massage was because I didn't get that far. When I walked in I was asked by the friendly front desk person how long and when I said an hour (seems standard) she said she needed to call around and find a girl. Odd. After that, she said I needed to go to another location and as for Mama. She gave me some address and said she was closing the shop down (it was only 6:30 PM) for the day. I cautiously scoped out the address, just assuming it was a sister parlor, but when I got there it was some crusty looking apartments and I saw some older Asian lady walking around outside watching the cars. Nope nope nope. Passed on all that.
AAA Chinese Therapeutic Massage: This is my Go To place. All legit as far as I've seen and the only place I know of that does lomi lomi. The only person I've ever seen there is "Evon" but she gives a hell of a lomi lomi, and a fair swedish massage. Again, no funny business at all.
M&why: If you're ever in Alabama, GO here for an amazing massage. To be fair, I've only been once, but hot damn was it one of the best ones I've had in recent memory. The attendant was young and super cute with possibly the softest hands ever. All legit but the soft hands made me wish otherwise. Still, any time I'm in town (all once every two years), I know of a solid place to go for a satisfying massage.
Sanctuary Massage: You all have no doubt seen this place on BP a lot. The times I've gone I've always had the tattoo'd girl who gives a good massage. Unfortunately getting a massage setup has been a PITA. The first time I went by and they told me to come back in an hour. No biggie. The next time was the same deal, then the person was another 15 min late. All the workers here I've seen (the tattoo'd girl and the owner) smoke which is a downside. To me, possibly not to others.
The first massage was an hour and no flip the whole time. Was told to do a longer massage so they could get to the front next time. I splurge with massages so I came back another time and did a two hour massage figuring I was super sore and it'd be worth it. The massage was excellent but a lot of the events during it were not. First off, it was cold as crap inside. They had the AC on and I as literally shivering and couldn't stop. She ended up piling towels on me after asking the owner to turn the air down. And the owner said no. Later on, the girl was talking to me and apparently too loudly and the owner bust in (no knock, no nothing) and told her to keep it down. Quite harshly. Then a few minutes later did it again. Felt very unprofessional and was quite awkward for me.
Nothing else to report there. Tattoo'd girl gives a mean massage and did have a few solid presses against the boys, but all legit aside from that. And the environment makes me not want to go there again.
That's all I've tried of late, hopefully this info will be useful to someone. Hollar in PM if you have any questions.

The Rub Shacks (non-Asian) are purely visual and at best self-serve.

But, they all appear to have prominent watermarks right in the middle of the image identifying them as samples that are property of the site, not to be used. Removing those would require some highly skilled photoshop work to not be obvious. Makes you wonder if whoever posted didn't at least have access to the originals without the watermarks. The girl in the ad does look way TGTBT, though.

So planned another massage with April in hendersonville. Made the drive waited for 30 mintutes. Stood up again, luckily nodia was able to see me on short notice. Had a great massage and left smiling. Not sure what's up with April but nodia is definitely time well spent.
Had another great session last night with our Bellevue Beauty after a miserable attempt at some AMP fun. I'm through with the gamble from here on out. Maybe other cities have better parlor options, but I'm sticking with my sure thing. I've never had a bad session and I've always had a great time from beginning to end. Especially the end. Decided to TOFTT and try the new Massage Hong Kong in Gallatin. Yuki gave me a great massage. This place is legit. In fact, they even give you a pair of disposable shorts if you want to wear them.

All new staff, with an older lady named "Jo-Ann" set to do the chore for me. I never thought I would say this, but based on this experience it seems they are even more restrictive than they used to be over there. Draped the whole time (in the past it didn't matter so much) and nothing close to brushing, even accidentally- almost like she made an extra effort not to. Not that anyone, including me, is surprised, but it goes without saying that the AMP situation in NashVegas is still dead and we cannot look to AAA to be a savior from this.

Saw Melissa a few weeks ago, before she left for HI, and I had a great time. She will be missed.
Also, I visited with Rose Oiler recent and I do not recommend. The massage was pretty good and I got a HE, but her personality is annoying and the price is too high (200/ hr). She repeatedly kept saying that she avoids drugs, which came across like a smokescreen to me.

Massage skill might, but that is hit or miss. I'd certainly never expect more at a place like that. I think the girl who founded this one "Angel" used to work at one of those notorious teaser ones that posts pix of hot girls and promises fun fun times, when all they really mean is a 100% legit massage. That is fine, but the advertising was always a bit misleading, intentionally in most posters on here's opinion. Who knows, could be right though, but if she is up for more, doubt she lasts long at that place.
I go to AAA regularly. They have turned over their staff and have some decent therapists again. Not sure if the ownership has traded hands or not.
To your point, I gave up on any special treatment a long time ago. However they do the best back walking in Nashville if you are into super deep massage pressure.

Ok, many of you may remember CoCo from Daily Spa. She is now at Serenity Spa in Hendersonville. Great massage! I got an hour and added 20 minutes after the hour. CoCo was extremely playful with the hole and the boys. She did use a sheet which was a little turn off for me, but once she remembered me from Daily Spa, the sheet came down.
