There was no cover in the afternoon so I walked in from the bright sunshine just looking around and trying to get my eyes adjusted to the dim light. Well, I feel like an idiot. I swore off The Pony a couple years ago, based off some bad experiences. I just happened to be in the area (which is rare), and on a whim I gave it a shot. I have to say I'm a fan. There's no cover charge before 7 on Monday through Thursday, there were a ton of girls there for an Thursday afternoon, and of course 2 for 1 beers. They'll straight up come grind on you and then ask you to tip, which kinda annoyed me but I gave in and tossed a couple dollars. I eventually got a dance and probably paid a little too much. Don't remember her name, it started off with a 100. There wasn't necessarily a song limit, but more of her dancing until she felt like I had my fill, and had my fill I did. They're totally relaxed with the rules, bouncer didn't give a shit. I was touching her everywhere, and she was being super playful with her hands the whole time, she wasn't afraid to touch me. I was taken care of, I probably will return, but be a little more picky on who I get a dance from. Cover charge on a Saturday night was about 10-15.

I had a great time here. They have a ton of dancers on stage but they're more organized. This place isn't as relaxed as the Cat Walk, but their women are great. They have a lot, maybe a little too much but it gives you a lot to choose from. I struck up a great conversation with one of the girls which made the experience so much better. Girls will charge what they want for dances and mine was pretty good. They have a no touching rule but my girl was placing my hands on all parts of her body. Cover charge was 11. Bouncer said I have to buy two drinks when I get in. You don't have to, it's bs. I saved my money to give it to other women. Not too bad, I will return.

Overall, I had a pleasant experience. I'm sure there's more to be explored I'll have to return some day.

Hey RationalityLoL. Due to medical issues I haven't done much clubbing recently but here's what I know. Your options are limited:

Pure Passion. On Brooks Road. A few years ago I stopped in one afternoon before they really got started, but as a paleface I wouldn't think of going there now at night, there is a thug element at this club. Actually I have no idea what goes on there, or if it's still open, be careful if you check it out.

Candyland. On Lamar north of I-240 - very tiny, used to be an adult bookstore. I went 3-4 years ago, hardcore porn on the TV, maybe 4 dancers mingling with the customers, dancers probably just after tip money, but who knows. It could be very different now.

The Gentleman. On Thomas Street, north of downtown. No info, I've driven by it but never gone in, not sure if it's still open.

Catwalk. On Lamar north of Winchester. I haven't been there in years, see recent review here.

V Live. At Winchester and Mendenhall. Used to be Christie's, I've never been there, have been several shootings outside, may be closed down by the city as a nuisance.

Your best bet by far is what used to be the Black Orchid at Brooks and Airways. It has changed names, I drove by there just this past week, there is a new sign but I can't remember the new name. They open at 7 pm, there was activity when I drove by. I went in late 2018, about 5 dancers came over, 2 or 3 were giving me the handshake but they all were annoying to various degrees and I wasn't interested in any of them. In past years there was a dancer there called Infinity that did extras, possibly some like her still around.

You could try the "traditional" clubs for extras. Gold Club, Purple Diamond, and Pony. Not likely though, my friend. Happy hunting!

I went back to the Gold Club and did do the VIP "room" with the friendly dancer. I won't go into details but, I did have a real good time with her. I don't want to get anyone in trouble. While my visits to Memphis clubs are typically daytime, there is a very obvious difference in daytime and nighttime experiences. Daytime, the dancers know the customer is there for a short time (ei, lunch, etc) and get to business quickly. Nighttime visits to GC in past few months have been far from eventful.

The Gold Club was still closed when I drove by there this afternoon. Lots of cars in the parking lot, but these belonged to the Firestone shop next door, no cars were parked directly in front of the Gold Club entrance.

I would not care too much if this club never reopened, with the exception of Diamond on the day shift, I don't think many of the dancers there do extras any more. There certainly have been some home-run hitters there recently. Ironically, some of the entertainers in the place used to be much cheaper when they worked at other clubs and were younger.

GC- cheaper and this is the place for a cheap time with NO expectations. Were nice women in the place, just not many. Don't waste money on private room because there is no privacy and if it is crowded, there will be people sitting outside the beads that separate your private session from the world. But, if you want a place to relax and drink that may have some eye blessings, this is the place.

Pony- Sad.

I didn't do the new club Deja Vu or whatever because if I heard they have a basketball court and pool. If I want to play basketball or swim I go to a recreation center. I guess if the entertainers were running down the court butt naked that may be interesting.

PD. Over priced dances and outrageous prices for timed rooms. I saw some guy getting tossed because there was a disagreement between him and a dancer in the timed room. Probably was told he'd get something and when he got back there and gave over the donation, she played him. Decent women but, seriously over priced. Ironically, some of the entertainers in the place used to be much cheaper when they worked at other clubs and were younger.

GC- cheaper and this is the place for a cheap time with NO expectations. Were nice women in the place, just not many. Don't waste money on private room because there is no privacy and if it is crowded, there will be people sitting outside the beads that separate your private session from the world. But, if you want a place to relax and drink that may have some eye blessings, this is the place.

Pony- Sad.

I didn't do the new club Deja Vu or whatever because if I heard they have a basketball court and pool. If I want to play basketball or swim I go to a recreation center. I guess if the entertainers were running down the court butt naked that may be interesting.
