Made a quick stop at the P / O on Passyunk Avenue, Wednesday night, around 11:00.

Doorman was a complete asshole and should be fired. Aside from his creepy Middle Eastern attitude, I had a great time.

There were probably 8 dancers, all African American. All very nice to look at. Ranged from 7. 5 to 9 on a stripper scale. MAybe only 10 other patrons.

The best looking dancer in the place came over. Jumped up onto my lap and started to bump and grind nicely. Just right. Not too hard. Not too soft.

She smelled lovely and her skin was soft and flawless. She got called up for her 2 dances and promptly came back to me when finished. This time she jumped in my lap again but managed to pull my zipper down. Without being noticed she spit in her palm, lubed up my shaft, and slowly started to stroke. We enjoyed watching another dancer for a while and she then turned to me and asked if I'd like to go somwhere more private. Of course my answer was a quick. Yyy-eeee-ssss.

Plenty of mileage. With reasonable damage to my wallet. Especially considering the chicks looks were easily a 9 on any scale.

The dick-head doorman again showed his lack of customer skills when he began to haggle with me over the number of dances I had. He was further pissed when he saw that I tipped the girl nicely. Other than that it was a pleasant, relaxed experience that left me satisfied and feeling great! 'Will repeat.

I'm an Asian guy.Black clubs do not discriminate like some Asian or white clubs do. You will never get the "what are you doing here boy?" "you look lost" attitude that many black men have gotten while walking into the wrong club. As long as you not a jerk and as long as you are tipping and spending money you will be welcomed without judgement. Many of the best customers in the underground clubs are non AA. African Americans learn early in life to accept other races and don't feel the need to feel threatened by someone diffrent walking into their establisments. The only possible issue you could have is the suspect that you might be LE. Truth is that most of the LE undercover for clubs like these are AA. Once they know that you are NOT a cop you will have your proverbial ghetto pass and will have no problem enjoying yourself.

Don’t walk-in like you own the place. And please! Don’t walk-in acting timid and afraid. Be yourself. When I enter a white establishment; I act as if it is the most natural thing in the world to do. And finally! No matter what! Watch your back just like you would do under any circumstance; whether the place is White or Black.
A lot of black providers actually prefer dealing with “White Guys.” Whites tend to be better tippers and a lot of girls think they just naturally have more money than “Black Guys.”

New to the board but I agree in fact once you pass the I'm not a cop test for the most part your are more likely to get VIP treatment in places that is 90% black. On the other hand big name clubs get high roller all the time so the likely hood of special treatment is only for known big tippers.

Thanks to the information available here, I was able to get a decent taste of the Philly strip club scene over the past couple of days. Here's what I experienced.

Daydreams. Really large place, with lots of unused space. Paid $20 and got 6 free beer tickets. Only used one. Dancers were all average at best.

Oasis. Nice club, really good looking dancers. $20 to get in, and $20 per lap dance. Spent considerable time with Savannah, including lap dances. Nice comfortable lap dance area in the back. After our session, went back to the bar and was hit on by a really drunk or high blond dancer who was hard to shake, lost Savannah, and lost interest. I would go back.

Purple Orchid. Mostly WOC place. Took 2 black dancers to the $20 lap dance area, and it was great. Then caught the eye of a blond dancer, we went into the $20 room, and she convinced me to try the $30 room for more privacy, although we were already alone in the $20 room. Got into the $30 room and there wasn't any more mileage than the $20 room, except we were in a small room together. I told her to stop after 2 dances and she got upset. It was like there was some communication problem between us. So that ended Purple Orchid, but I would return.

Delilahs's. Really upscale looking place, but only $10 to get in at the time. Like something out of Scarface. High class stippers, few customers, weird announcer. Just not my cup of tea. One drink and left.

Picadilly. Best value for the money. $7 to get in, $4 for a beer, and $10 lap dances. All WOC there, some beastly, a few knockouts. Spend some time with Envy, who should be a model. Spent some nicer time with Image. Felt completely comfortable even though I was just about the only white guy there. No lap dance area, just sit on long seats in upper bar area, although Image and I sat on some seats at the end of the bar where we had more privacy. Hope to go back.

Outer Space. Was closed when I got there, but a guy outside told me to go to Epp's place. 60th and Vine. 6043 Vine. Went there and found nothing but what looked like an empty house. Too bad as Outer Space sounded like my kind of place.

There was infrequently a girl onstage, while there were a number of girls lapdancing around the edges of the room, and a more private room at the back. Wasn't apparent, if it was happening, that guys were being taken care of behind the dancer. But there was no way I was planning on getting caught staring as the only white guy in the room.

It took me quite some effort to find the place and I waited until they opened the door. Paid $10 and showed my I'd and went upstairs. Somewhere in the internet mentioned that they open 9 PM to 2 AM but they did not open until about 11:30 PM. I was told that they open late (after 11 PM) on Fridays and Saturdays. I was wondering when they open during other days (Mondays to Thursdays). How about Sundays? This is a gem and we should cherish it. The lap dance was only $5 and most dancers were very professional. Nothing to complain for $5 lap dances.

I'd been to Outer Space a few times before the management changed and enjoyed my time there. Outer Spave became less friendly to me after the change of ownership. No idea whether Outer Space is becoming better or not. Still cherish the time in Sun Brian before it was closed.

I am thinking to visit Twisters again in the near future. Please share your experience: opening time, etc. When is the best time to go to Twisters? I hate to be too late.

Yea. I have found over the years that any undercover club worth it's salt in philly generally doesn't get hot until maybe midnite. It's not uncommon for these strip clubs to be spots people go to after spending the night out in the mainstream (bar, club, mellower strip joint, etc). Getting there at opening time is almost sure to have few to no dancers on site. Not uncommon for the dancers to also dance elsewhere and head over to the late nite spot after finishing at the earlier place.

My general info has twistas opening at 11pm and going until 4am, I have not been there too many times this year but I got there at 1am, did the same for the places of old also. Any place that closed at 2am I was there at 11pm. Most spots are dead with regard enjoyment and variety when they first open. For some reason I like to be at a spot late enough to get the fun in and see it shut down. Gives me the sense that I had a good full night.

Black strip joints also is not much about the pole dance, although there certainly is some from time to time. Can't say there is much regard for dancers thinking much about taking turns and ensuring "someone" is up there dancing, it's more about the dance you get where you are sitting / standing.

Lucky put a lot into Outerspace for over a decade; the more recent management ran it into the ground in less than 6 months. God-willing, I predict The Pearl's owner will be running both upstairs and down come next Spring.

Had a reason to head into the city tonight and took an excursion over to Exotic Diamond Dolls to see what I could see. I was very intrigued after reading 'Dr Dr's' report.

It is a decent enough joint, as mentioned only girls dancing were WOC, the owner / manager and the barmaid were Caucasian. Extremely friendly and laid back spot. Patrons 85% AF / AM 15% Latino, but I see no reason in a neighborhood such as this why there won't be a total mix of all types. I presume this just happened to be Wednesdays crowd.

All girls had great bodies but alas coming of age in this day and age and in this city most of the girls had tatoos' some more than other, some will have some explaining to do if / when they become grandmas' years down the road from now and grandma dares to wear looser, comfortable summer clothes around her grandbabies.

Bad part was that the girls seem to spend their non-stage time either just sitting awaitng their turn to dance or exclusively teasing dollars off patrons they knew (sure they had the extra cash to actually spend on them). I was there for 2-hours or so and NO ONE approached me and I was not the only one. In fact most of the patronage was ignored after the stage dance, admittedly things are tight and this is not a well heeled neighborhood by any stretch but it was as if the presumption was that we were not worth the time to see if we had money to play, thus the opportunity or avenue to inquire of potential extras was not even on the cards. I suppose I could have stood up and yelled "Hey girls, come see me. I gots loot" while waving a copious amount of crisp currency in the air.

In the time I was there, I did not notice any girls take any patrons upstairs to where the private VIP room supposedly is. (I was told by another patron that there were pool tables, lapdance and VIP area upstairs). When dancing the girls do get naked. Well. Rather, they take their bottoms off, they all seemed to keep their tops on. They all know how to shake it and give a dude a chance to see where babies come from. They can dance and move their bodies well, the place was very laid back feeling so as a place to stop into to sit for a spell and sip on a cold one whilst wathcing some eye candy it seems a pretty chill spot for that. So far as extras. No way, no how that was happening today. I'll be curious to hear of anyone else experience, for me it was a generic strip club visit albeit a fun and raunchy excursion for a few select patrons that looked to be feeling bare asses and maybe getting stinky fingers while dispensing dollars at the bar side,"supposedly" because the girls didn't bother coming over to the left side of the bar where I was sitting so I didn't explicitly see "finger enter birth canal" if ya dig, tho the dudes did look quite happy and the girls were winding, grinding and contorting while over with them so I don't doubt an agreeable amount of 'hands on' occured. Otherwise dollars are 'given' to the girls while they are on the stage dancing by crumpling up a dollar and tossing it in their direction.

I hoped to have a report of better activities but maybe I chose the wrong day.

Iorek's report is believable. More details on my visits. We'll need more reports to get a better idea of what the place is really like. I've been there twice, both on Saturdays, both after 9:00 pm. Iorek is right in that the neighborhood is mixed and active, and I felt safe. Esp since the place is literally a stone's throw from K&A. Very busy spot. Both times I parked right in front. 50 feet from the door. There were three totally hot girls, two on each night, one was there both nights (hope that makes sense). One danced completely nude, others bottomless, others just topless. A few girls were average, as in average for dancers. Several very average girls (as in average for girls, not average for dancers). A few subtstantially below average. A wide mix. Patrons were black, white, and Hispanic.

I sat on the right as you enter. Unlike Iorek's experience, there was lots of barside traffic, but not so much as to be pushy. Twice I lost track of one of my fingers, right there barside. Once junior came out to take a look around and was greeted with a welcome. The grinds there at the bar were better than back room dances in some clubs. As for upstairs, yes there is a pool table. Several guys went up there while I was there. The barmaid takes you upstairs, takes your $20, leads you into the room and then closes the door. I went up twice each night. One gave a standard topless lapdance, no extras, hands off the danger zone. All of the other three provided extras. Drinks, dances, and tips, I think I spent somewhere in the neighborhood of $200 each night, and left quite happy, if somewhat poorer. (Taking way more than one for the team!).

The general atmosphere is comfortable, fun, low pressure. The barmaids and dancers are relaxed and smiling, not dark and grim. Iorek is right in that it invites just sitting there and hanging out.

I don't have the resources to do much of this, but I'll go back sometime soon, and report back.

I concur. I was the white old guy. The Hispanic chick told me about the Cove (Richmond and Allegheny) a definite upgrade talent wise. No extras that I saw in either place. atGator, They had a door fee at Diamond Dolls? Must be a weekend thing. Although it didn't have what I was hoping my expoerience wasnt such a downer for me. As for the OuterSpace, I simply don't foresee this place disappearing off the radar, it's been established and about "serving the community" in it's particular early afternoon niche to disappear. Frankly its not the first spot in Philly that has had hot brass fly about it's frontage either. Generally for night clubs this can be a death sentence but a neighborhood 'shakey-shakey' I suspect after the ruffled feathers have settled and a sense of normalcy comes about will get back to its former self. One saving grace might be that the shooting occured outside instead of a spray of the inside. It doesn't so far as I know have a history of being a neighborhood nuisance that has otherwise had complaints leveled against it. But I don't live there and might be wrong I suppose but have known of this spot for quite a number of years and have not heard of such reports.

No doubt we'll keep an eye out and see.

Since you never know where he may be (second floor of a bar, a converted house) , it's easier to refer to his spots as Mr Epps spots. You may sometimes hear it referred to as "The Keg" which is where he was the longest (don't know if he actually owned that spot). I first stumbled upon his establishment the week before he moved to the Keg. He's been at at least 7-8 different locations since then. Did my first lockdoor party and it was fascinating.

I drove to philly this time. Was enough to make we reconsider the bus, someone one needs to start a traffic school out there. I found the place from memory and was happy enough. Too hot to sit in my truck and reading paper in an enclosed space is never easy. I climb in the bed and spread the paper out. Apparently no one in philly has ever seen this. I got more than a few weird looks. Finally agonizingly time is up and I head to the club, maybe 10 mins before 3. I get inducted into the club and it is just so dark. I did ask and was told there would be 5 girls today. I was frisked and paid.

If you doubled the light level it would still be darker than a lot of strip clubs. A pair of bootish high heels almost broke my neck as I looked around.

Did my first lockdoor party and it was fascinating.

Pluses and minuses there, it meant there was great prices and choices but the lack of patronage also meant the atmosphere and scene was greatly lacking. Passions if done right has the space to host great parties if it can get the traffic.

Fortunate for folks here, enough info has been put out to readily get in contact with and find Passions, consider it a fist-bump worthy gift from the member here. Consider your post count number and I think you got this info easy. Not that it should be frustratingly difficult but I recall before getting info from any member that had it you became 'trusted' by rolling up your sleeves and TOFTH. Getting out there, pounding the pavement, locating and partaking in what you could find and posting reports. Outside of 'non-report' commentary which is fine (like my post here now) , your ratio of reports of your experience at some place should outweigh the number of posts where folks are asking for information. This would readily show others that not only are you some new-member just trying to get something for nothing (honestly I believe that's the intent of all of us initially. And understandably so, you came on here to find out into right!). Really friendly, with slow sensual dances and decent mileage ($20 dances done in a room off the bar, with couches but not much privacy if others are there; there's VIP rooms with more privacy for $30, but I never tried those). Didn't pressure for more dances. After 2 she sat with me the rest of the afternoon, and then I got a few more from her. Didn't ask about extras, since I was going to more reliable places later, but I would highly recommend her.

Then headed for Outer Space. Easy to find, seemed like a sketchy place and neighbourhood (I am Asian) , but I got parking right in front. Bunch of guys hanging out outside, but they all seemed friendly, and I went upstairs and paid the $5 entry. The girls had just started arriving (about 6 pm) and guys started filtering in too. As noted, the place is a dive, I was the only non-black guy there, but everyone was really friendly, I never felt uncomfortable, and I had a good talk with a semi-regular patron at the bar. The strange setup was interesting, with dancers grinding you at the bar while everyone is sitting shoulder to shoulder, but I'm no prude so I didn't have any problem with it. At $5 a dance I was able to sample a lot of dancers. Hands wandered freely and most also touched back, over the pants. A few unzipped and took me out. I particularly enjoyed Desire (who was my type with a hot, slim body) and CC (who had a luscious soft booty). I wasn't expecting the girls to be so good-looking, based on the low dance cost, so I was impressed.

I thought I would then finish the evening with Twisters. I had scouted out the neighbourhood in the day, based on the vague reports in this forum, but wasn't sure where exactly it was. The only place seemed to be an alley / lane behind the place of worship. But when I got there at 11:30 pm, it looked like nothing was happening so I drove around looking all around, but nothing looked promising. So I walked back down the lane and this time heard music coming from the locked building at the end. Rang the bell and lo and behold, it was the right place, but was told no dancers yet, not for another hour.

So, I headed back to Purple Orchid to kill some time. For a Saturday night it was still really slow. Only about a dozen guys sitting around the bar, and only 4-5 dancers, all of whom were too old, chunky, or unattractive, so I just had a beer and left again for Twisters. This time it was just starting to get going. 3 dancers there at 12:30 am and then several more started coming. At first the dances were not too great or high mileage, and I didn't think the girls were very good looking. But then I tried Jaguar, and man, did she make me purr. Slim, friendly, nice sensual dances with moaning (who cares if it's fake, if it's done well?) in my ears. Offered a menu in the one "VIP" room. $20 for the room, and $40 for oral. So we got in and the room was really raunchy inside, with an old couch the only furniture. Didn't matter, Jaguar warmed me up, wrung me out and a good time was had by all. Really enjoyed my time with her. By that time it was 2 am and getting more crowded (she said it would really be going by 4). Great place for action. She says they're closed on Mon and Tue.

So, as a visitor I had a good time at all 3 places, although Purple Orchid was only good because of Renee, who only works day shift. The night shift was pretty disappointing. Outer Space was fun and a different experience, and Twisters is great for the mileage and extras.

Try sitting at the far end of the bar to sample and then move to the back if things look promising. Usually they won't let you in with your cell phone either. I've been partaking in the club scene since the mid-90's and honestly have not been witness to bull crap like this at an AF / AM club. Have on occasion noticed some folks look at someone almost checking them out and having the expression of "eh? What's he doing here", never been witness to an accosting or overt / covet verbal or physical threats ever. Not to say that has never happened, but I've never seen it. Any suspicions I've seen seem to vaporize the instant a fellow has a cold brew in one hand and palmin' an ass in the other, the check more than not is to gauge whether the guy is a cop or not.

I forget if it was D's or SunBrian, there was an older fellow that to me looked like an attorney; quality suit, soft leather "prosecutor" shoes (LOL) , white shirt, cufflinks, styled and quaffed head of mature grey / white hair. I mean visually he really stood out amidst a hot and crowded room amongst hoodie and baggy jeans and ball cap wearing af / am locals. He was sat on a chair against the wall with a pretty young thing grinding on him good and proper having a blast. Never a worry, never a care. Everyone that comes in gets a pat down so 'generally' it's all safe. Anyone running these clubs is just looking to provide a good time and make some cheese, the chicks just want to make money also, the last thing anyone wants are the cops called out to respond to some altercation or assault or other incident that might shine a light on what's going on inside a joint and likely force it to close down.

In truth in my experience, the only places I've seen and have had issues were at some latino centric venues with mostly young guys getting mad because outsiders are coming "to their house". I've been eyeballed, cold shouldered and ignored / skipped by dancers at some places where I wasnt aware that a brown face was not welcome and those tend to be other ethno-centric type neighborhood gem type places. In the early days there were the occasional places where I was refused entry, I distinctly remember "not your night fella" with door staff ready to enforce it.

Of any number of reasons black folk might get a bad rap for in this melting pot of ours, what I have found truth in is that once we are at a party chasing ass and trying to get our sacks emptied we are all brothers from another mother. Again. There undoubtedly are knuckleheaded exceptions.

The Penns Port and the Risque look to be an easy cab ride; don't want to D&D in a strange city and the wife is much better in these places with a few. Unless you guys foresee a problem with a Taxi, that should be the plan. In DC we had no trouble with the cabbies taking us from place to place; Philly is a bigger city so I am hoping I have a similar trasport experience.

I noticed that I will be staying within walking distance of the Gold Club. It got a lot of mixed reviews but doesn't look too bad either. Unless you say to just stay away, we may peek in there as well.

You should be fine cabbing it around. They will be outside of Risque anyway if you are there at night or they will call one to pick you up. Not sure about Penns Port but its not that far a walk to where the cabs will be. I am not a big fan of the gold club, its pretty small and cramped.

This place is a little challenging to find if you have not been there but relatively safe area. Saw a guy on a bike rolling along a second bike though so lock your car. This place is odd but everything you read is true. Girls that flash their down under parts on stage are the liberal ones in the back room. Watch out for the thick white chick who claims she is on g string divas. She charges double, requires two dances, then gives shitty dances compared to the others. I am sure this trip was some form of sign of something. Decided I knew where it was and didn't bother recopying the directions. I should have reconsidered that when I realized I had gone to the wrong place to get on the interstate. Get to philly and get off at the wrong exit. The wrong side of town. Found it at 3:17 walked up to the door and the place was locked. Knocked on the door to the house and was ignored. Heard Tiffany on the phone to someone asking when they where coming. Decided screw it walked around and knocked on the front door. Nothing. Walk back to the club and stand there wondering if I just drove here for nothing. Knock on the door and Bri appears. Dressed in plaid tight paints and a T shirt. Hair in a cloth. Still cute but not sexy.

She begs me for 5 mins to get the club open. I asked to use the bathroom and she said sure but she frisked me. Okay. Should have seen her face when she found something hard. Had to pull it out and show it was harmless. A roll of cough drops. What did you think I was going to say? I return the frisk and ask if she's working the party and receive a "yes", she is. Leave the restroom and Bri says it's down to 3 mins, please walk around or something.

Walk away count to thousand 90 walk back. The clubs door is open and out pops Bri still in civis. Lets me come inside the club and boy has it changed. For starters that guillotine power cord is gone. The couches are piled in front of where the stage was. I admit I didn't look to see if it was still there but at the moment I doubt it. And three new rooms have been built with actual beds in them. Again with the frisk and tells me to go upstairs.

There use to be a great little line of lights that lite the stairs. Almost like a party style line of Christmas tree lights. Those are gone. And it's dark as hell. One step at a time to be safe. Still blew it on the last one and took a tumble and whacked my knee. And it my beer off the wall. I cursed and got what sounded like an sincere inquiry if I was okay.

Looking around the bar has been moved upstairs. The little rooms that were are as gone as the lights. A couple couches and a bunch of simple chairs are around. A single air conditioner is hopelessly out matched and the fan with it isn't cutting it.

But the more intreting thing in the room where the two girls. A girl who identified herself as Roxy but looks like Diamond from the models page of the site. She also answered to Diamond in conversation later. And Venus as she would be most the night. With a phone in hand texting away.

Venus was wearing a black on piece of lingerie. Diamond wasn't wearing a thing. She was carrying around a with a sport thing (flag maybe?) as a covering. I at first thought it was an apron, but nope.

So I take a couch and sit there. Venus doesn't look up from her phone. But after a minute or three and half a beer Roxy / Diamond comes over. Lockdoor is big room. I would label it more as exhibitionist as opposed to group sex since no one joins you. Last regular party I went to was the private rooms. You want privacy go to a regular party.

Number of guys I can't say. I've been there a few times. Last time a number of guys came through and left. This time there was 4 of us, three who stayed the whole party. I think a similar number stayed last time, but several more came and went. I'd bet that it's on the day.

The first time thy sold me beer and told me it was okay to BYOB. Second time I let them hold my beer which proved annoying, they where always asking who's beer was it and no one behind the counter is a dedicated bar tender. My lesson was bring a small amount precooled and keep it close, what I thought I would use during the party. As far as a cooler I don't see it as an issue but they might. I would ask. And expect it searched.

And security at all these spots is good; the odd fight breaks out between hoes, but that's rare.

I guess it's also a question of whether you're able to be a night owl as I guess you're frequenting Passions during daytime / evening. I certainly would not be satisfied with the meager line-up at Passions, but I'd also admit to having been spoiled by my take-out habits.

BTW, I don't live in Philly either, but come to work there 2 to 3 days a week and always have a good 3* hotel room booked cheaply off one of the 3rd party websites.

I'm a white guy and move very easily to any club in the city. I'm not freaked out by neighborhoods or the fact that a club has majority of black customers or dancers. The first time I'm there of course I may not get the best experience but by tipping and staying a while, talking with people and not just looking to grab ass. Never demand to know what you will do in the back. If you're new and up front. That way you just look like an undercover trying to jam someone up. Always my favorite club, been coming here for years and have made many good friends. By the way I take exception to those that say you can never have a dancer as a friend. Yes, you can as long as you are respectful and fair. You must understand that dancing for $$$ is their job and they do and should view it as that. Our job is to be respectful and to tip as that is their only pay. As independent contractors they have to pay for the right to work at a club, select decent music to dance to, and to have a house mom offer advice / help on cosmetics / hair. So they depend upon the patrons to survive. I truly believe if we just want a place to drink go to a corner bar. If you choose a strip club. You need to fairly participate. Sorry for sounding off.

I've been around the area for about 3-4 weeks now and been parousing through the forums for about 6 months. Since I got a tip by a fellow member and I found what I was looking for I decided to give my thoughts on the clubs I visited so far.

Set It Off: The very first club I went to within the area and I was a little nervous. And I'm a big black guy. Went through what seemed to be a very rough neighborhood to get there on top of the 320lb offensive lineman they had standing at the door with a 9 and a bullet proof vest looking like he was expecting something. But once I got in it took me a couple of drinks to not think about Whats could happen when we step back outside. The Beer was like 2. 50 so that was a plus and the girls grind on you for basically $5 a song so that was a plus. They had some good looking girls in there and some that were ok. About 8-10 girls all Black. I was there on a week night so only the downstairs was available. I didn't see a whole lot of nipples but alot of booty shaking if that is your thing. I will say there was a light skinned girl there that had the softest booty I touched in a long time. No extras of anykind that I could tell. I just got back home from a short visit to your city. I normally post in the NC section. I was staying in Plymouth Meeting. I made my way over to 7th Heaven since it was close to my hotel. There were several nice looking ladies there. The set up is much different than what I am used to. It is really small and the stage was behind the bar and when they finished their 3 songs they would go around the bar and hit everyone up for tips.
