Well, someone has to say something here. I was in Duluth last week and had little luck. Fuzzy's is closed, but a new club is supposed to have opened on Superior St at the old NorShor theater locale.
Stopped at Yoshika just to see what was happening. An ad in the paper said all new staff. Was met at the door by a very cute gal whose name escapes me. She quoted the usual $60 door fee and a somewhat more reasonable $140 for tips. Since I've been burned the last couple of times there I didn't go in, but if she is there next time maybe I'll toftt.
Wow, this forum is kind of dead.
Was hoping someone could post some updated information on the Duluth area.

What did you find on your trip to Duluth? I may go there Friday night. I like to make my rounds of Yoshiko's, the Wabasha book store (with the girls in the booths), on over to Superior for the Lamplighter and Centerfolds and back to Duluth for the Saratoga and the New NorShore Experience. And then to the casino after all else is shut down if I have any money left. I have not made this circuit in months and have only been to the Norshor the one time. Looking forward to it.
Another question. Does anyone know anything about the Duluth Family Sauna? A couple years I stopped in there and was quoted a private sauna for like $15 and there is also a all male sauna for similar price. I am wondering if this is a gay thing. I was also approached by a SW who tried to get me to take her to the sauna. I guess if you get a private one maybe you can do what you want in there. This place is not open very late.

Paddy, I've wondered the same thing about that Family Sauna place--have never walked in though. The name sure wouldn't lead one to believe there is anything fishy going on...but...they are open way later than the typical above board place. A gal who worked there was also bartending in Superior and tried to talk us into going--she looked like she could do some extras.
How are the gals at Wabasha? I stopped in years ago and wasn't impressed.
A couple years ago I walked into Family Sauna. I had the feeling of some gay friendly orientation. I'm heading up there at the end of the month and looking forward to hitting some of my old mongering grounds and some new ones as well. Looking forward to Norshor, I used to love Fuzzy's when I lived there, and it's run by the same guy. I'm planning on spending a couple nights at Norshor at least. I used to go to the Red Lion and pick up bar girls all the time there, but I heard it closed. I'm staying out west so I'll probably go to Curly's see what the action is out there. Did everyone who used to go to Red Lion just migrate up the road to the Kozy or what? Are there any new/other places I should try? The last time I was there was probably 2002. Was up there this weekend and am happy to report that the Toga now offers LDs that are pretty good one-way contact. Gals there were pretty decent too. Norshor had a decent lineup, the Superior bars were so-so.

I was in Duluth for a week in early Feb. and had some good times. I stayed at the voyager inn on Superior downtown. It's a shithole, but cheap and close to downtown. 45 bucks a night. I went to Norshor the first 4 nights I was in town. It's a fun club, with cheap drinks. The girls were friendly for the most part. I got a few dances and tipped alot, but I didn't press too hard for takeout. They seemed a little wary of me since none of them knew me, but the lap dances were good and most of the girls were above average. A couple were in the 8-10 range, and all were at least decent looking. Their website says smoking permitted but you either have to do it in the bathroom or go outside.
I sampled some of the street action in town. 1st street by the casino was the only place I found any. First girl was named Vanessa. Just wanted to add I made a trip to centerfolds and the place was horrible. Girls where nasty the regulars where all either country frat boys, old farmers and hoods. Do not go there.

Norshor has been closed for some time. The Toga is still around and doing what they've always done. The two Suptown clubs are still hit or miss, but I've seen some improvement.

AS of Dec 21,2013 Sugar Daddy's is closed. Ownership / management cites a poor location for the demise of the club. Sugar Daddy's in Sauk Rapids continues to be busy and not in danger of closing.

The Chinese massage place on 1st street is strictly legit. I've been a couple of times and nothing offered or implied. With the weather turning, you might find a SW on 1st near the Wabasha book store. I do know some of the girls offer takeout at the strip clubs in Superior.
This was told to me from someone who knows what's going on downtown, since so many public places are disappearing these days. The Duluth Sauna is about all that is left. This is how it works now: the sauna staff DO work in accordance with the Duluth Police if anything is suspicious. Meaning underage, drugs, anything obviously illegal going on. The common spaces there are under video and audio surveillance. However, the rationale seems to be they'd rather see the working girls bring their dates to a place like the sauna than end up in the back of some unknown guy's car and on the side of the road someplace. So what they've agreed to is this:
A working girl can bring in ONE date per night. It's $19.50 and you can stay for up to two hours in a private room. The facility opens at noon and closes at 10 pm. As long as the girls do not come back more than once, everything's fine. However, because these girls can often look much older than they are (if they're on drugs for example) they will often be asked for I'd. You won't, but they will. There is a zero tolerance for drugs there. So if your girl is noticeably high, stoned or flipping out she'll be kicked out, a Polaroid photo will be taken as she's leaving, and not let back in. The few girls that do bring in dates to the sauna are generally decent, healthy and don't want to ruin their only option for bringing in a date, so it's unlikely she would get herself in trouble like that. But just for you guys to know, don't bring in a girl who's drunk or on drugs because she won't be allowed back in.
I like their philosophy because I, too, feel better that most of these girls have the option of coming to a safe place where someone will be at the front desk, there's camera surveillance and a general feeling of safety rather than chancing it with God knows who in the middle of nowhere. It's only an extra $20 and you have access to a private room with a shower, sauna and a bed.

Tried out Centerfolds tonight, and it was ok. 4 girls working, 1 was rough (apparently she's the manager), 2 were ok (maybe a 6), and one was a gorgeous spinner named Roxie. She talked my ear off, which was kinda fun, and then we went for a dance. I think she's more uptight than the others. She politely told me no touching, and gave an excellent dance. Centerfolds got new management and / or owners couple months back. They have cleaned the place up a little. The no touching policy has always been around, I think it's being enforced more with a change in management. Lady Vi's across the street is more lax on the "hands off", it really depends on the dancer and the bouncer.
