Whenever possible, if asked to wait, it is imperative to not hand over the house fee. Once the house fee leaves your pocket you are screwed as 5 minutes turns into 20+ and you have no recourse.Hanging on to my cash until I see my provider if she is unknown and not getting the extended wait has saved me many a time. Once Moma gets her iron grip on your cash, you will never see it again.
First time post here, but I have lurked off and on for many years. I've been to AMPs for close to 15 years, and I guess today just served as a warning that I have been very lucky. Around 3:00, I went to visit this place for the first time. The door was open as I approached and I noticed someone had just walked in. Kind of like the courtesy of waiting outside for someone to finish at an ATM, I never like to see someone entering or leaving when I am there. I prefer my privacy that way. Consequently, I waited outside the open door for the person to go through the curtains. When I peeked around the corner, I saw that he was still in the lobby and overheard him asking the ladies for their IDs. Needless to say, I didn't stick around and split ASAP. Kind of like the other fellow that had the bad feeling that someone was following him through the hotel. Seems like their might be a broader campaign to shut these places down over the last couple weeks. Reminds me of when I used to live in DC and it went from amazing to ghost town overnight.

After the conversation about Cherry Blossom on this forum some weeks ago, curiosity took over and I decided to check it out for myself: the good, the bad and the ugly. Well, the reports, in aggregate, are accurate. The place is indeed fairly busy and I did experience interruptions of service. On the flip side, the two ladies I experienced (different visits) were a bit younger and a bit better looking than what is typically found. I know a provider in the south shore. Two weeks ago police, Bd of Health, and state inspector descended on her shop. All 3 came in together. Was in Quincy this morning and found myself a mile away from Oval. I'd never been there before but it was so close I figured I'd stop and see what was there. Place is on a mostly residential street at the end near a couple of commercial businesses. Went in and the 2 woman were eating breakfast. All the back page ads are mixed in with escorts and all the ads have young pretty Asian girls in skimpy outfits. You won't see adds for massage envy or places that give grandma a wax and pedicure. All Wakefield has to do is type Massage Wakefield into the search engine and all the places that got busted Back Page ads show up. Spend a couple hours now and then parked across the street and just see middle aged men come in and out you get a picture. Then it's just a simple sting operation. Wendy and several of the Quincy AMPs are in similar buildings, I am sure after a while tenants catch on just single guys roaming the halls and skimpy Asian girls. Cities like Quincy seem to tolerate AMPs better, could be the culture of a large Asian community. That said with more AMPs in that area offering more than a tug I can see LEO trying to te balance the scale.
Think of all the business a place needs to stay open and how many posters are active on this forum. It's not just us that gets the AMPs busted.

I have to agree with Skater018 on this one. You are getting constant FS but won't review her? Just a little tease for us. -BH.I agree that YMMV. I am just sharing the experience I had a few times, which worked nicely for me. I note though that I only visited places I knew provided extras (all in RI). I think, there is always risk involved not getting what expected, but agreeing to something upfront is not a guarantee that you get what you want and risky for a provider because of stings. When a customer tips upfront without asking for any extras, but initiates a contact later, a provider has a solid defense (harassment) if the customer is a cop.
I am just saying I think it will help spas to stay in business if they get minimal licensing (just for something) and will operate as legit spas at rates they want (in case anyone wants just a quick massage or a donut) and then engage in extras at the action of a customer. As for new providers, they should be instructed by mamasan on what to do if they are getting the tip upfront. Bad experiences can be posted here, and are no different than any other bad experience.
Just hoping that spas that's left will be careful and will not get busted.

I was there Monday to check it out. It has been opened for 2 weeks no and you can often see the ladies sitting outside. I drew Linda, Sort hair, ok body. So so english. I called ahead around 7:30 to schedule an hour massage. They ladies make it clear that they offer massage but not body work. She take the money for the hour but while I was changing she asked if I would take 20 back and just do a half as her friend with her needed to get going soon. I agreed and played down without any towel because I couldn't see one. She did come in and drapped me and gave me a decent massage. 25 minutes face down and 5 face up. I believe this place is owned by the same jellyfish personality mama who also owns the fu shen in Qtown. Many years ago when she had her first place near the t station, I met her and became aware of her ways. This little place was where Julia (lan lan / sunrise) started, as well an annie (1674 brooklne) and they were both bashful as they broke into this business. I enjoyed many massages with those girls, but hated that snake of a boss. When she opened the school street shop (q-town) she eventually fired Julia because too many customers were asking for her (obvious) and not the other girls. Soon she started hiring young girls, not very experienced but were well-trained in leading the customer on. After spending tons of dough here and obviously a safe and long-time customer, wendy (the mamas an) greeted me at the door one day, and said she had a beautiful new girl- so I said ok and paid the house fee. Soon the girl came in and was very young and cute. After 5 minutes she was called out of the room, and wendy came in and quietly advised me to NOT ASK for HE. Wendy made sure I was on the table and paid first. I was not happy to hear that, and should have asked for my money back and left. Fire Departments have been checking smoke detectors, CO Monitors, sprinkler systems, etc. Some of the Building Departments or Engineering Departments (town specific) have been measuring rooms, making sure employees are not residing at the business, just plain total code enforcement. And the ever popular Board of Health is rearing its' ugly head with permits and starting to structure licensing guidelines.
All in all, nothing that we haven't heard or seen before.

Just thought I'd share to save someone some time. Went to Belmont last week (Wednesday), and there was a sign in the door stating that they would be closed for two weeks (cleaning). I had called the week before and someone had answered, so I'm guessing they'll be close this week as well.

I understand what you are "not saying" PW. I have been a Sr. Member here back when it actually meant something to be one. If I reported every encounter over the years I would have 3 to 4 times as many as I do. But I do have those numbers in PM's.

Guys. Check the link that he provided. Yes the place is known and has been around for quite awhile. It was actually talked about here recently. Furthermore, left-right parity of stroke number and style was seldom ever achieved. Another annoying habit was the lack of ownership of the limbs she would pick up. She'd grab an arm or a leg, do her thing, then let it drop back in place. That's startling when you try to relax. There was teasing at completely random times, but I came to find out it wasn't on purpose, but rather the side effect of clumsiness. Finally, a dozen attempts at communicating on my part were largely unsuccessful at influencing the outcome.
I strongly considered leaving, but by then we were on the 2nd leg and she was spreading them further and further apart to the point where my feet were no longer resting on the table. I figured I'd already wasted so much time that I might as well see what she's got in store that requires this kind of wide open access. It turned out to be nothing at all. Found myself in Quincy this past week with time to kill around 9 pm, so I thought I'd finally try one of these amazing providers I'm always hearing about. It's across from a larger apartment building, and at least at night they have a near empty parking lot. I'm sure people know why you're pulling up. She had a thin body, small but attractive ass, be cups on a good day, and curly hair. I'd give her an AMP 7 or 8, which would probably translate to a 5 or 6 in daylight on the streets. The room was ok. There was no door, just a curtain, and you could hear the two older woman who took my $ talking and watching TV. So that sort of sucks. At one point another hobbyist could be heard loudly talking with a provider. All I can say to that is, dude I hope you enjoyed dinner with your son and please be quieter next time. She allowed OTC and I have to say she had a decent ass. Not big, but nice. There was some light teasing, and on the flip I asked if she wouldn't mind disrobing. She politely declined. I even offered way more that I would normally tip in hopes that would makes this a Quincy experience, but she still declined. I also asked for a more enthusiastic finish, but she made it clear that HJ was it. To be fair though, she was very nice about it. I don't know what these places pay for rent for a storefront but if you factor in all the factors rent, utilities, triple net and all the other little pitfalls of.
Commercial real estate and add in all the licensing costs for this all these new rules I don't think the cost vs profit margin is as far off. What I used was just a basic comparison between the amount of these motel style massage ads vs the store front ads. Myself I frequent the store front places and prefer them to a hotel. Sadly my work schedule doesn't bring to out to Metro West that much so I don't really have a lot to offer on reviews on the storefront spas that way.

A few days ago, I was in the mood for a place with a shower. There aren't that many it seems, so I ended up at Orange Tree bodywork in Watertown after calling ahead and letting the sleepy voice know that I'd be there in 20. The location isn't very good; it being at the intersection of two busy streets and the door offering no possibility of discretion. To compound the matter, the door is locked as a matter of fact. They come and open it from within after you knock / ring such that you could be left standing there for a little while.
I noticed two ladies there. One was short, round and homely, age unknown. The other was hwp, late thirties with a nice smile. The rooms are partitioned with walls that don't go up to the ceiling, so noise management is an issue. I opted for the shower first. They do not have bathrobes, so you wrap yourself with a medium sized towel. If you are pleased by the shower, it can make for an awkward short walk back to the room, but the lady did make sure the road was clear. Speaking of traffic management, I think I noticed a door between the "waiting room" and the rest of the place, so at least within the establishment it shouldn't be crowded.
The shower was typical fare. Complete wash but not overly frisky. The massage was OK, but not great. Nothing like what you'd get at TCM in Tewksbury. The tease and flip were also standard. One positive is that the girl was wearing a summer dress with thong underwear. So call it halfway between OTC and UTC below. Typical smooth asian skin and flat ass. Didn't try for more.
Because of the public location and weird entry ritual, I'm unlikely to go back. Maybe if I had seen incredible talent, but there are other average places. Typical damage.

Well I made it. I finally got back on the horse 'so to speak' after a number of months. After all of your guys good feedback I tried to get in touch with 'strong hands' but couldn't connect so I had to scratch that day. So yesterday I was in Fram as scheduled so I took a walk at lunch to Pink. Now I was hoping for Alisha but Tina opened the door. Now Tina is a cutie. Maybe 30. Yep good ole Quint. I loved that place but yes it was only a matter of time. Actually I was surprised it lasted till it did. HS.There comes an issue with grandfathering and the way most providers cycle out. Each provider must be trained and certified or licensed.
With a certain few that retain the same staff I would see grandfathering being applied to the new requirements but if they inspect (which is the game they want) and find non compliance they got you. It all evolves around locals getting their $$$ and then raising the roof when their political buddy didn't get his HJ.

HS.Just my opinion, seems like areas like Quincy and some others that have large Asian populations LEO leaves them alone. At least the store fronts, gals like Angel have been around out in the open for at least ten years and never an issue.
I was chatting with a spa owner in the Boston area, and was told of a massage school in Quincy that is charging 8 grand for a 530-hour massage therapy course guaranteeing the student licensure in the state. Lasting 6 months, and that is it. That means anyone performing bodywork can do so legally, but if such an individual has any blemished background activity- it could affect the granting of a permit. Even still, the actual town officials could not be anywhere near as tough as the dpl for massage. It is possible that if your atf is missing, she might be enrolled in that school. Remember, most shops are not even thought about the way we imagine, in terms of uncle watching- unless there is a complaint or a disturbance. Also, do not forget that LE are still men, and absolutely do walk through the doors of our favorite spots, most quietly and respectful- never revealing their actual profession. The demand for bodywork has expanded tenfold, and with the internet and reviews- it is well worth the efforts to open shops. I believe most girls will actually get licensed and keep open their cash cows, 8 grand is nothing for a shop owner, and I am sure that school's anatomy and physiology will be a cakewalk (" just sign here that you attended this class (wink. Wink) "The state of MA only requires a sealed transcript from a school (must be accredited), copy of insurance policy, and a cori check, then payment. If the girls have no criminal background- the license will be issued. Many who may have a blemished past (many flee the state when charged with offering for a fee) will just send their husband or daughter to the school, and while open for business- keep an eye to the street so they can run out the back door during a compliance check. (remember L and G in Quincy?) Bodywork is here to stay- the demand is too great and the Chinese know this. Even in the farthest remote villages in Northern China, the menfolk speak of the American demand for the Chinese woman's ass!

HS.Thanks for the thoughtful replies. Watertown and Newton regulations require certification for bodywork in particular, going so far as to name some of the certifying bodies the recognize. They aren't just deferring to the DPL. They're written as thought they are trying to exclude. With the high turnover, I just expected less training and licensure. I know someone looking to open a new AMP. Trying to keep things as safe as possible. The presence of AMPs in these towns despite the regs just left me wondering.

I am very familiar with the school and know many providers and owners who have attended.
It is not however a wink wink sign a sheet type of deal. Attendance is tracked and mandatory and missed time needs to be made up nights or weekends. I have seen the materials and they are rigorous. They are also translated into Chinese. Each class also has a Chinese teacher or assistant who assists in the Chinese translation. Classes are taught in English and the Chinese students are pushed to learn the terminology in English. Finally they all take a state (not school) test which is comprehensive in order to receive a license.
Also most of the girls pay their own way and not the shop owners.
Your post was well done but I wanted to be sure that the appropriate level of credit is given to these providers. They work hard at learning the craft, practice constantly to be better and take pride in what they do. When looking at the posts on our board (and others) you can see that many reviews make a point of indicating that many providers give damn good massages and this is appreciated by many of our members.
I also saw the post on Wendy. This is very unfortunate. She was one who gave great massages and also HEs. Well I made it. I finally got back on the horse 'so to speak' after a number of months. After all of your guys good feedback I tried to get in touch with 'strong hands' but couldn't connect so I had to scratch that day. So yesterday I was in Fram as scheduled so I took a walk at lunch to Pink. Now I was hoping for Alisha but Tina opened the door. Now Tina is a cutie. Maybe 30. Not that I can tell the ages anymore and maybe 5 feet with a nice slim and shapely little body. Her massage was superb and she knew what she was doing as she found knots everywhere. A hot towel. I've just started back visiting this place after about a 6 month hiatus. Employees have changed and I'll have to say for the better. Went in the other day without an appointment and was taken right away. Mid 30's girl with the standard look. Not great, but not bad. I'll give her a solid 6. Opted for the hour. Good back massage with not too much oil. However, no legs or arms. After about 40 minutes, I got the reacharound. She did a great job on the pre-flip, and post flip was excellent as well. The place looks completely legit, so much so I left on my first visit even though I was immediately attracted to Tina. Giant open room with foot massage chairs around the permitter. Massage rooms are off to one side, 3/4 walls with curtain doors. Well, Little Jack apparently decided we should return and we did. Surprisingly good time and 3 visits later the options opened up more. Last two visits have been less than stellar with certain menu items apparently out of season. Will not repeat until I hear of improved customer service.Not sure if it is in poor taste to quote ones own post but thought it made sense. Couple places moving back into the area. One moved far away from the area. I was told by friends on USASG that the heat is on in CT. I can't tell how high, but I can say my UTR Chinese gal who used to work at 40 confirmed it. I'm not a FS guy, so no help in that dept, but maybe you get PM'd.

Went to this place on South St near South Station. I think it is new.
Chinese probably 35-40. Okay looking, thin, good massage. Nice flip. Typical Chinese pricing.

Well Stan. Did you walk, or should I say, write into it. 40 Harrison was busted in a big way last November. Do a search, read about it. Couple places moving back into the area. One moved far away from the area. I was told by friends on USASG that the heat is on in CT. I can't tell how high, but I can say my UTR Chinese gal who used to work at 40 confirmed it. I'm not a FS guy, so no help in that dept, but maybe you get PM'd.

Found myself on Rt 9 next to One oNe FIVe fOUR this week and decided to try a visit to a place I have infrequently gone.
Met by fiftyish female, named fifth Month of A Year. The actual massage was very good. Firm and thorough and covered neck to feet. She talked a lot though at the start. Complained that only there a few days, due to stay there for a month, and "make no money, no customers". Heated access to anything you could find under, over, and in. But, she would not do the oral thing. Good hand technique with finish cleanup. Left the standard monger fare for time and deliverables.
It was one of those days of I needed to kill a little time in that direct area, it was conveniently right there, had low expectations, and needed to get a load off (my shoulders). She will be gone in a few weeks she said, and I am confident that the place will have another well qualified substandard older aged amp to take her place. BTW, Samba next door is in bad need of a paint job. This rub place was never a FAV of mine, went there on a lark, and def not going to even try to go there again. Oh well.
Visited star restaurant and my waitress was Cici. Cici was mid 30's to early 40's, with nice big melons to serve. I enjoyed a full menu and left a generous tip. She said she will only be there for 2 more weeks.

Once I had this intense pain in my shoulder from doing heavy lifting. My doctor gave me a pain medication that did nothing. I went and saw Juliana for my regular massage at The Republic of Wellness and when she started she mentioned that my shoulder was really tight. I hadn't mentioned the pain I'd been in but she worked on my shoulder and by the time I left the pain was almost completely relieved. I guess you'd call that holistic medical treatment. You might want to try that remedy but even though she's attractive don't make any sexual requests or your session will be over. She's totally legit but gives the best massage I've ever had. There are other therapists that work there that I'm not familiar with. I'd request Juliana. You can google her website.

Went to Lisa's on the 4th fl of Kneeland. Wasn't really sure what I was getting into but figured I had time and money to burn. Greeted by an older woman. She is probably in her late 50's. Fairly attractive though. I believe it was 70 for 1 hr. Massage was fairly mediocre. Pretty disappointed by this as I really needed a good massage. First time seeing her she was a bit cautious. For those interested, they opened again a little over a week ago. And others were right in that they were closed due to a building code violation and the town took their sweet time circling back to sign-off on the fixes. Anyway, I was there a couple of days ago to see my long-time favorite Yoyo / Eva that some of you definitely know.
