As I left my perfectly legitimate massage therapist on Beacon Street I was pulled over by a detective.
As I said nothing to report to him or you. Just wondering why they would be on a stake out. Seriously are you kidding me!
First of all, what is the BPD doing staking out a massage joint? Have you been there before knowing it was legitimate? What are they trying to prove? Don't they have more important areas of concern?
Been to the place several times. As I am sure others out here have!
He was fishing, even had a wagon pull up next to me, trying to intinidate me into lying about my therapist!

First time poster, though been reading forum for a time. I have been to a few of the different AMPs in Stoneham.
Pearl Massage: Seem there are only two women there, and I have only been with the taller, younger one. First couple visits were DIY but after that, there have been HEs. Seem very cautious on first couple visits. HE is ok, with stroking of the boys during it. Touching above clothes only. Nice massage as well.. 6/. 4 (hour)

I was back to Heavenly Touch 25 today and saw Bella.

Holy Shit, talk about opening up a can of worms. Based on a report by Sebastian6, I decided to try Hong at 117 vs my regular stop at 120 to see Lucy or Jeannie. I can field this one and offer my view - Hong is about 40. Pretty much average looking. When I went there a couple weeks ago, she provided access to the rack, but without taking anything off, so they were kinda squished down. She is a small B (which those of us in the IBTC like). Others say she provided them with more access too...

Last time I went to WW, Lily answered the door, immediately dashed up the stairs in a state of near panic with nary a greeting, all the while yelling for Jessica, who appeared and provided a nice full hour of her usual excellent service.
I suspect that they are so determined to maintain a good impression with all customers that they truly dislike interrupting a session to answer the door, especially twice as happened to you.
Reminder to self: In all of our collective enthusiasm about new ladies at new places, we shouldn't forget the more familiar standards. WW is generally reliable, interruptions are few and no haggling for the usual service. Remember last year when the Board was full of posts about J. and WW? Interruptions were the rule, not the exception then!

Rang bell without calling - it was like 90 degrees out and I figured nobody would be there. I was right.

Lily comes back, but in another 10-15 minutes, the doorbell rings again. Lily is again the designated doorwoman. She comes back and apologizes (i don't know if there's a 3rd girl, or if monger #2 is now waiting for someone to finish)... but now Lily is clearly in more of a rush. I did see Hong the other day, and she discussed the issue with her other girls. Only Hong has an actual massage therapist license. As the other girls do not have licenses, they can only offer "body rubs" and not "massages." So she is trying to arrange matters so they can provide body rubs, and hopes to get things back up and running soon. Hong is also currently on vacation.

That's the ad I called off of cl ending 6418. But before the call I checked the # here and found a couple of reviews that were not to bad so I figured I would try it. I guess this place used to be near the Higham shipyard. They are now in Quincy in one of the high rises near the Wal-Mart. Called and made appointment for 645. The mama who is not at the location will give you the adress when you call then give the apt. # when you arrive. I called @ 643 to say I was here. Mama tells me there is another monger there and asked if I could wait 15 minutes. I have no life so I say sure. Was in the area and decided why not. I knew this place had gone legit but their other location offers a great massage at a really good price and that was what I really wanted any how. They now have a large sign advertising its a new spa with the rates right on the street upon entering. A new waiting area has been created giving the place a much more spa like feel.
I was greeted by LiLi and taken into the room. The doors now have reverse peepholes added to them so management can keep an eye on whats going on in the room. Sketchy! I was asked if I wanted a table shower for $15 which I did. I was taken to the shower where she was pretty good a getting in everywhere, and I mean everywhere. On the flip she covered me up, but did a bit of work over the washcloth. She then had me stand up and clean my boys myself.
I was lead back to the room where she gave me a decent non covered massage with a lot of teasing. I was starting to think that just maybe something else would be on the menu. On the flip she covered up the boys and did a lot of inner thigh work. I couldn't resist and had to ask now that she had me all worked up. She demanded I go and get cash from the ATM across the street or she would keep my credit card. I told her that was against the law and I was really starting to get pissed. She gave my card to another girl who took off with it in the back room. I was about to call the police, however I knew one of you were in the other room getting some work done. I went down to the ATM got just enough cash out, came back, got my card and left without 1 penny more then the cost of the shower and hour session.
On the way to the train I popped into the McDonalds to buy a cheeseburger with card that would not work. Guess what, it worked fine.
I will never be back!
After striking out elsewhere earlier and the day I was worked up and needed to get that poison out of my system. Had never been to this place so I gave it the old college try. I was very worried however that I would have a run in with a he/she as I have read about this place and Thai places in general.
Called and asked for Pam because she looked cute in her CL pic in the ad. Told them I would be there in 15. When I got there Pam was waiting. She looked just as she did in her ad. Mid 30s, cute, and in good shape. Brought me back to the room, which really creepy. It was more less just a towel on the floor. One thing I like is a clean AMP, this was not one of them. I would never go back based on this alone.
Massage was decent and for the most part uncovered, except for the part when she sat on me. Near the end she pointed and asked, "Here too? ". I opted for a big yes. HE was average, with roaming allowed, but being on the floor and her position did not allow much room for that.

Was in the area and needed some lower back relief and decided to see what the options were here. I had read the previous notes so was not expecting more than a rub.
Easy access and plenty of free parking. Place kinda stands out like Millbury did, but no big deal. Fee are 75 for hour and 110 for hour and a half. Clean place.
Massage was good and I would rate at an 8. Extras, none. However, I get the feeling that they don't dispense HJs to everyone who walks in but you could cultivate a relationship with time. So if you like limited edition HJs and got some money to burn, you may succeed.

Had nothing much to do the other day so ran over to one of the AMPs that has been on what I guess I'll call my 2d tier rotation list. This is a place worth checking out every once in a while but for me it has been just unpredictable enough that it can't be counted on in a pinch.
Well, I need to report that this was the single worst Hobby experience I've had, with no exceptions, and I've found myself in a few sketchy situations over the years.
The experience got off to a somewhat rocky start. When I arrived, the lady on duty did not seem all that pleased to see me, prompting me to ask if indeed she desired my company. She replied, "Yes, you are the customer, so you are in charge." This did not say happiness to me. Although I'm not generally naive enough to expect to be greeted by a tidal wave of affection and joy when I open the door to one of these places, I've certainly found that sessions do not generally go well when the provider is not motivated. I asked again and decided that as I was already there I'd might as well pay up and continue.
After a few minutes of uninspired massage, she ordered me to flip. And I do mean order. So, being a cheerful and compliant sort of fellow, I flipped, whereupon she noted with a scowl that Little Brother was not quite ready for action, as it were. Out came the oil and the lady's hands went right to work. Two or three minutes into this, I had to ask her to slow it down as her frantic pumping and squeezing was beginning to scare me--and I do not scare easily.
Thinking of being scared also scared Little Brother, who immediately retreated... thus prompting the lady to ask, "You finish, right?" Not exactly, I replied. She went back to work, but every 5 minutes she provided a running commentary, the gist of which was: 1. "You take too long!" 2. "Girls no like man to take so long." 3. "I no like man who take so long." 4. "You not finish, you bring me bad luck."
As though this weren't quite enough of the wrong kind of stimulus, she launched into a monologue about men who dressed as women, and women who dressed as men. My brain entered a new sphere of reality as I contemplated what this could possibly be about. At which time, I swear I heard her say, "I am man, not woman." Looking at her ample breasts, which she had reluctantly freed from their fortress, squeezing her cute ass and looking again at her face, hands and feet, I concluded that I'd misheard her, and I remain convinced of this as I write this too-long report. However, this matter did not assist Little Brother, especially as she returned to her running commentary. I finally asked her to stop everything. She reverted to slapping my thighs, hard, only inches from now deflated Little Brother. This hurt and set me to thinking about the 911 call that someone would have to make if her hand missed my thigh and whacked Little Brother: "I massage lady! I hit customer's Little Brother! Oh my God! He is maybe dead!" Then she reached down and began to toy with him again, squeezing, poking and prodding.
This session finally ended, almost exactly 60 minutes after it had begun. This was a consolation, of sorts, as I observed that at least I had not been shorted on time.
I was laughing my ass off. I only wish you would out the place.

Not to prolong your agony but a few years ago I went to one of these aamps and as you said the door opened up and I saw my grandma there. Now I can't tell ages but she was 50 plus.Like you I was tired of calling places and it was hot and the traffic sucked......so I stayed. Well unlike your horror show my ended rather pleasantly. The massage was quite good....the conversation was very pleasant and the prelude was quite nice. Methinks you should pick up a copy of the Phoenix, call a few of the many ladies who advertise their services therein, go see one or two of them, write a few useful reports, then come back here to ask your good questions. "Where is Waltham Wellness?" is not a really good question and in any event questions are not the most desirable way for new Hobbyists such as your kind self to build credibility with the fellows who participate in the Forum.

Ok I had a pass to visit spa B in Norwood. I was warned that the quality has gone down some and maybe other places were better. I did take that into consideration but..I had a pass! I have to use it so I went on Wednesday 6/30 and didn't really know who to ask for since Chris was no longer there or at least hasn't been there. She was my favorite. I asked who was working and was given four names, I went pot luck and chose Rachael and said that I may have had her before if she was the petite girl with light hair..( just bluffing) but that was what I was in the mood for. The title pretty much says it all.
I want to like Dragon Pearl, Broadway, South Boston, but my last two visits there have ended the same way; "OK, sir, all finished."
My first strikeout was on a Friday evening about 2 weeks ago with Johanna, an elfin pixie the all of 95 pounds. Stopped by Shangri-La in Malden and got an hour with Mimi. An excellent, strong massage but with very little teasing pre-flip. There were two brief interruptions when she had to answer the phone (as apparently she was the only one on duty at the time). I used to call WW and specifically ask for Jessica, then finally realized that this is not how most places work. We can express a preference -- and have our wish granted some or even most of the time. But unless Mama knows you really well, the ladies clamor for you and you have a house rep as a tipper at the higher end of the range, you will experience luck of the draw more often than not, especially at the busier places.This means your provider will be switched out, sessions will be abbreviated and mileage will vary. That is "how they roll." I've learned to be nonplussed about this on the theory that the worst that could happen is that I'll have a nice massage.

Based on Cat's reported experience, i hunted for the place in question, and found it on both BP and CL. Although it took a bit of time. Best source was CL-Therapeutic offering a $49 special for an hour. The price was right, so i called and confirmed and arranged an appointment.
Just as Cat described in an apartment building. Although my experience was somewhat different. The masseuse(mamasan??) was not as attractive as described, but that may be due to the fact that they had two ladies working when i was there. Unbeknownst to me, there was another guy and masseuse(probably the good looking one) in another room in the apartment, which makes me a little paranoid due to the town's reputation. I learned of that fact from the masseuse as we talked.
Additionally, my masseuse kept getting interrupted with calls and shorted me quite a bit of the hour. She was nice and the HE was nice, but I won't be back, and I would not recommend.
One other note, as I was leaving, a customer was waiting in the living room, with another waiting for my parking space!!
I guess you do get what you pay for!! the initial fee was $50, and I did give her a $20 for the he.
(Historically, the town of Wob is very aggressive in combating this type of activity. I would be very nervous going back there now that I have seen there operation.)

First time I met Annie at Bonan's, Jessica switched in after about 10 minutes. I didn't complain, and I ended up being extremely pleased with Jessica. She was a heck of a lot more accommodating than Annie or anyone else I have seen at Bonan's. She can switch in on one of my sessions anytime she wants.

Well, I need to report that this was the single worst Hobby experience I've had, with no exceptions, and I've found myself in a few sketchy situations over the years.
While I appreciate the story and feel your pain (it's not funny if there isn't some truth we share), if you'd tell us where the place is, some of us might avoid your pain in the future.

First time I met Annie at Bonan's, Jessica switched in after about 10 minutes. I didn't complain, and I ended up being extremely pleased with Jessica. She was a heck of a lot more accommodating than Annie or anyone else I have seen at Bonan's. She can switch in on one of my sessions anytime she wants.
I have to side with Fluff on this one. At the risk of sounding like a shill for Bonan's, and not wishing to be overly critical of Bigboy22, I think you would have a much better time to go in with an open mind and make the most of the situation. I have been lucky enough to have Jessica as my provider for the entire session twice, and aside from the calls and interruptions during one of those 2 , I actually prefer her over the others. She both times pulled up her shirt and undid the bra without any prompting and allowed plenty of touching and sucking. Both times I got a prostate massage that was good. She also does a pretty good tease and nice slow ending.
Annie is OK, but her massages were getting very predictable, and one time Jessica came in and switched her out to one of you guys and gave me Candy who promptly gave me 2 pops- I bet the guy Annie went to only got one.
I am not one to initiate roaming much and don't get upset if they don't offer to remove clothes, but when they do I take full advantage. Neither Annie nor any of the others there have done that for me, only Jessica. (On a side note I do rub Annie's butt a little OTC during the HE).
It wasn't too long ago that Annie was the choice that everyone wanted when going there, now I guess its JoJo, but obviously if 2 or 3 guys want a certain girl at the same time, someone's not gonna be happy. I think she is trying to do the same thing with Jojo. I had called and asked for Jojo shortly after hearing she worked there. I started off with her then someone came in asking for her. Jessica asked if she could switch out Candy for Jojo. I said fine, but I wanted to finish the session with Jojo. Jessica agreed. Candy gave the massage and offered the finish. I reminded her of the agreement and she said no problem. She called for Jojo and soon Jojo returned to finish the massage. I only tipped Jojo. My advice when Jessica asks to switch is to protest slightly and act somewhat disappointed and give in. Jessica will usually make it worth your while.

It's 80, I prefer to pay 60, but I like a Thai massage from time to time and that seems to be the going rate. (although you can find Thai for 70 if you look).
There were 4 to 6 women there. Some have worked on Mass Ave and others in Brighton. As I know that this is always a concern, all looked female based on the quick view that I had and I didn't hear any deep voices.
I was a walk-in and drew Shana. Seemed female to me.
Typical Thai style massage on a mat. Not as oily as some places. Hot towel clean-up. I tipped 40 which is my standard fair for a satisfying visit. She thought 60 was more appropriate. But when I got home a little thought was nagging me. I looked up the place online and discovered that they have a Tuesday special, $50 for 1 hour of 'relaxation massage.' Obviously, this discount should have been extended to me, and I should not have had to ask for it. The two of them --manager and provider--ripped me off for $10 with their little nod and wink. What did they do, split the take in half and run out for another waffle at the little restaurant next door, overwhelmed with the delicious joy of knowing that BA had been cajoled into paying for it?
Now, I will be the 1st to admit that I have wasted much more than $10 many, many times over during the course of an afternoon. It is not the money, so much as the principle. I suppose they thought I was so stupid I would never find out. But I'm not, and I did.

So if you do go, insist on paying no more than $50 at the door. As for the rest, $60 seems to be the baseline for reasonable experience.

I've been in the hobby for almost 10 years which may not be that long, but I was inspired to post based on the "most horrible hobby experience." I've been to WW, 38 Montvale, FY, "Shirley" near the South End and several other spots including seeing May in Waltham. I think we all miss her. I wanted to share an amusing experience that I had in LA when I went to a filty Thai place and ended up with a provider that looked like Ernest Borgnine. For you younger mongers, look it up. Needless to say I was a bit horrified by the whole experience and ended up leaving before the flip. I've also been to Tai Summers in Acton who was nothing short of horrible. Having said this, I am not looking for any recommendations, but I am willing to TOFTT. So if any one has been curious about a place, let me know. I'm interested in trying something new.

Felt a familiar desire this evening--that and also a driving need to GTF out of the house. But let's leave that latter fact alone for now.
Thinking through my options, decided to call Bonan as Jessica is one of my ATFs. Called, spoke with her and made an appointment to see her at 9:00.
As I drove on 95, I was puzzled. The closer I got to the Bonan exit, the more often I saw giant trucks bearing the logo of the New York, New Haven and Pennsylvania Railroad. This stumped me.
Drove down the street past Jessica's Massage Palace, parked the Benz at an open spot, donned my pork pie hat, tightened my belt, thoughtfully adjusting my trousers and rang the doorbell at 8:55.
Jo Jo, she of the lovely C-cups, greeted me and though I informed her that I had an appointment with Jessica, invited me to enter a room to the left and to relax and take my time preparing for a nice massage.
No sign of Jessica, so Jo Jo began the proceedings and I must say did her usual best to rub BA's cares and whiles away. Sigh. She did what needed to be done, and more. I sampled many fine offerings on the table and young Jo Jo was assured that she would profit handsomely thereby.

As the doorbell rang a third time, I understood why I'd seen so many trucks on the Bonan Highway: Plans were afoot to build another Grand Central Station at the very place that Bonan had occupied. Last year, Grand Central was located at Lavender, and BA for one surely wishes that those railroad robber barons would settle upon its final location.
As I lay there, enjoying Jo Jo's company, I could hear announcements about the track locations for trains to Westport, Darien, East Meadow and Port Chester. I swear 'tis true. And when the homeless guy who wears a parrot-shaped hat finally came into the room to ask for a handout, I knew that by all that is holy, Bonan has become the new site of Grand Central Station. As I squeezed my eyes shut, I could even see the huge Kodak display dominating the far wall.
Pinching myself, lest I lapse further into nostalgic reverie, I focused my attention on Jo Jo and at long last our designated hour had lapsed and BA, his knuckles well cracked, stood up to get dressed and return to the real world.
As I departed, Jessica greeted me in the reception area, provided a routine "hey-pal-forget-your-name-but-glad-to-see-ya- regardless-and-hope-to-see-ya-again-some-time-in-the-not-distant-future, wherever-your-final-destination-may-be" kind of hug. BA tried to lure Jessica into one of the open massage rooms, but she protested, so he departed from this new location of Grand Central Station, concluding that he must stay away from the place for the indeterminate future as service has been trumped by popularity and despite his all-too-liberal payment scale (on the higher end of Bob Bobby's well known and highly regarded recommendations, or so help me, even above) Mama Jessica seemed not even to remember him. His heart broken, BA drove to a local watering hole, where he consumed two nice glasses of wine and from there, proceeded uneventfully, home.
In the morning, BA will ask his trusted admin assistant to place a note in the calender for a return visit in December, or maybe never. His asst is a lovely young Asian lady of the Spinner variety, and BA has often wondered why her desk is covered with credit card receipts every morning. I stopped by once for their $50 special. It felt like Susan was trying to make up for the discount with the exorbitant prices she was demanding for extras. I was left with a bad impression and will not return.

To answer your questions:
1. At some places, it takes a full 10 minutes to negotiate how the session will go down, another 20 waiting on the table while the lady answers the phone, opens the door and gets new visitors situated in the next room, leaving only 30 minutes for the massage itself. So buying a 30 minute massage only causes confusion all around.
2. Undressing completely is frowned upon. Letting a masseuse see us nude is considered very bad form as it will generally either cause the lady to exclaim "You make me so horny, you want DATY?" or run screaming from the room. Most fellows who say they got "undressed" mean only that they left their boxers and socks on. I also prefer to keep my hat on and if I arrive wearing a suit and tie, I leave the tie on so as to avoid unsightly wrinkling.

Checked out WW with the red door the other day. Place was empty. But it was at 11 am.
Susan met me at the door, (I have seen Lei Lei? Before), and took me right into a room. She asked if I had been there before, and I said this was my 3rd time, though it was only my second. Paid the hour fee, she left, I got undressed, and laid down. She came back in 3 minutes later, and gave me a medium massage. At about the 40 minute mark she started the tease, but I interrupted her and asked for hot towels to wipe off the oil. No problem, she went out and got them, and cleaned me up.
Then she started the tease, slowly working around and down to the undercarriage, to the point I was almost on all fours! Turned over, and she finished me off quickly. Spent another 10 minutes on more massage and I was out the door.
$60 + $40 = 1. 00
She is average looking, allowed roaming up top (didn't try for bottom). Will go back, esp when I need something in a pinch.

Two weeks ago, I booked an hour here to try out the table shower! Asked for a walk around tour of the nice new facility. While the table shower room was very nice, Lei Lei said that it was not functional because the gas has not been hooked up{lack of hot water}. I stayed, got a good massage, got full hour, no happy ending, tried.
The lady Anna who had returned my call, then booked my appointment, was not there 2 hours later, when I arrived on time. Anna's English was good, Lei Lei's was limited! I liked the location and the country drive.
I can go to Ivy for the same amount of driving, where the service for me is excellent, good value and predictable.
Might go back and try Kangle again.

Not sure if this qualifies as "rubbing it in" or "making you feel better", but Fu-Shen's standard fee is actually $80/hr. So, the $60 was neither the Tues special nor the usual price.
I've found that on Tuesdays, the girls ask for higher tips for the HE and will usually tell you outright that they aren't getting any of the house fee because of the special. I haven't been there in a while because I feel it shouldn't be my problem if the house wants to attract customers by offering a special (as opposed to a normally over-priced hour) by taking it out of the provider's pocket!
Also, one time I went there on a Friday and basically got the exact same service for like $10 less in tip, so the net difference was proof that I should only go there on Tuesdays, even for higher tip.

I agree BA...as you know I have been a 'client' of Bonan well before it was called that and a personal client of Jessica even before she was Jessica. I have always had very 'personal' service from Jess including some very intimate encounters (don't ask as I won't tell guys) which tells you the kind of service I usually get there. Well now twice in the last month I have been switcherooed....once from JoJo to Candy (after calling and making an appt and then waiting another 15 minutes as she was late) and once Jess tried to switch me from her to Candy. 1. Half hour. You can still get HE. However, some places even an hour and you won't get HE. So read the forum for places to go. But most places will accomodate you w/ HE if they provide them in general.
2. Undress, yes, all the way. Sometimes the providers will cover you with a towel and some places don't. But don't keep them on. Why cock block yourself from the get go.

Now, I will be the 1st to admit that I have wasted much more than $10 many, many times over during the course of an afternoon. It is not the money, so much as the principle. I suppose they thought I was so stupid I would never find out. But I'm not, and I did.
Fu Shen has not appeared on the forum as of late. Maybe it has fallen below the radar, but the massage experience there was certainly better than typical experience at most other places.
I recommend it on the merits for you, but as for me: Screw this place. Only because I do not tolerate that sneaky B. S., especially since I knew the lady in her previous life elsewhere and have been more than generous. Foolishly so, in fact- to her.
So if you do go, insist on paying no more than $50 at the door. As for the rest, $60 seems to be the baseline for reasonable experience.

I've been lax in my reporting, so wanted to post on a handful of recent experiences in the city proper.
Everyone's favorite building on Tremont St still has lots of activity. One new provider there is named "Bo Bo". She is actually young and kind of cute albeit with a little baby fat. Not sure if this qualifies as "rubbing it in" or "making you feel better", but Fu-Shen's standard fee is actually $80/hr. So, the $60 was neither the Tues special nor the usual price.
I've found that on Tuesdays, the girls ask for higher tips for the HE and will usually tell you outright that they aren't getting any of the house fee because of the special. I haven't been there in a while because I feel it shouldn't be my problem if the house wants to attract customers by offering a special (as opposed to a normally over-priced hour) by taking it out of the provider's pocket!
Also, one time I went there on a Friday and basically got the exact same service for like $10 less in tip, so the net difference was proof that I should only go there on Tuesdays, even for higher tip.

I checked out the new S'Bai and it is a nice facility. Massage is Thai combo of massage & stretching and there are no interruptions during the session as someone is at the front desk answering the phones.
I saw Chacha who is young & petite. Looks like some of the girls may have come from Oak Square or Mass Ave Thai places. Massage was good and she is very nice. Was hesitant about the HE but with a little convincing she gave me a nice finish. No roaming ( but may allow it later ). .80 plus .40 tip. Will repeat

Just reporting that I was over at WW last week and neglected to specify who I wanted to C. That was a mistake. As a result, I was taken in by a "newer" person I had not yet met.
Long story short, the typical WW experience was not enjoyed. The woman did a reasonably good job at the massage but no tease whatsoever until the flip. From the HE side, I actually considered stopping before the end. To top it all off, she very much was not the looker (I personally don't find any of the staff there that attractive but the overall experience greatly exceeds. Imo. That part)
Perhaps other folks here know who I am talking about but the moral of the story is to definitely specify the person you want a massage from. I do not recommend this newer person. Unfortunately I didn't catch the name but I've been there quite a few times and know this is not a person frequently mentioned on this board in the past.

A bit of a newbie question. As I have done very little TOFTT-ing.
In general, when looking for "the right" kind of massage, look for:
- ads that offer the massage at 60 (which would seem too low unless you were expecting a healthy tip).
- ads in some publications/websites are more likely to be "winners" than others.
- ads without pics, covered faces, or obviously stolen pics.
Any thoughts?
I promise ot do some TOFTTing going forward. But would like to try and increase my batting average if possible.

In my experience, 60, 70 or 80 is not an indication of anything. I prefer to pay 60 and tip 40 if things work out in my favor. If I pay 70, again I tip 30 to 40.
You can never go by the ads regardless of where you find them. Unless the provider is independent or it is one of the Thai places), all pictures are fake. Just some hot looking 19 year old model with a nice set and a smile to lure you in. The thought is that once you are there, and face to face for a 40, 50 or 60 year old (okay sometimes they might be younger), you'll be so horny from the trip over thinking about that sweet young thing in the pic, that you will stick around. If I don't like what I see when I walk in the door, I just ask for a quote - how much is your massage? - then say thank you and walk out. If they ask you to stay, just say you don't have time right now.
Ads without pics - again as all pics tend to be fake, no pic doesn't mean that they are so ugly they left the pic out!
Trying not to get a bad experience is why people read the board. That doesn't mean you will have the exact same experience as someone else. The best advice ever given is YMMV - your mileage may vary. In some places (typically AAMP's - apartment Asian massage parlor) the women rotate out every 10 days. He gets the hot one on her last day and you get the dog on her first day and wonder if the poster was blind, dumb or just plain stupid.
Which brings me to my last piece of advice. You really have to follow a poster and his posts against your own experience. I went to a few places that some poster raved about. Hot 30 year old, nice rack, blah, blah, blah. I went and found 50 year old trolls! Poster should change his name to Shrek.
So like the advice YMMV, every poster has his own score card. Someone gives a ten where someone else would score it 5. Some young inexperienced guy gets his junk tugged by a mature women for the first time and suddenly she is his ATF! (all time favorite). He can't say enough things about her. Not to knock the older providers, some may have lots of miles on them but have lots experience in making you happy - I liked two-pop Susan even though she was on the older side. And Aiko is another older woman with very good massage skills.
My advice, if you are interested in the massage part of the experience - stay out of the AAMP's. Women turn over too fast and they tend to be FS places where they are hoping you'll spend 160 or more for a crappy massage and who knows how they good they are with the FS. (For the most part it's not like going to Providence - although there are some hidden gems). Go to store front places. Staff tends to stay for longer periods of time. They get to know you and you will find the visits less awkward. If I get a great massage and some hopeful signs on the first visit, I usually give a place a second chance. Be friendly and treat the ladies with respect.
Oh, I almost forget the sage, old advice that seniors are suppose to give to newbies - RTFB!
A bit of a newbie question. As I have done very little TOFTT-ing.
In general, when looking for "the right" kind of massage, look for:
- ads that offer the massage at 60 (which would seem too low unless you were expecting a healthy tip).
- ads in some publications/websites are more likely to be "winners" than others.
- ads without pics, covered faces, or obviously stolen pics.
Any thoughts?
I promise ot do some TOFTTing going forward. But would like to try and increase my batting average if possible.

Have been meaning to head over to Lavendar to check out LiLi but decided to revisit Tulip in Brookline. I had a great experience with Anne at Tulip (unlike another poster, who had a bad experience) and thought I'd try her again.
I was told that Anne is no longer there, but I could see LiLi. I figured why not, did not assume that it was the same gal because these names seem to be picked from a a one page book.
Turns out it she worked at Lavendar and has moved to Tulip for a week, maybe two. She told me that Tulip actually closed for a few weeks due to lack of business.
I believe her name is Lily, but it get mangled with the accent. Further intelligence gathering revealed that all visitors are recorded so that the manager can get an accurate count and determine whether the ladies have exceeded the time for which their gentlemen callers have paid.
Perhaps these devices are used much more commonly than we realize, which would explain why AMP ladies are such diligent clock-watchers even when no one else appears to be working on site.

I have no problem with monitors for security but think that all of the places that use them should place them where we can see them. I think the hidden camera approach is sneaky, whether commonly used or otherwise.
Most of the RI places have them, at some you can even see the monitors. I was in heavenly hands little over a year ago and the monitor was right in the waiting room.

Anyway, got a 1hr ($80) massage from a petit girl there which was "OK" nothing exceptional but not terrible either. It seemed things were going quite well as she was massaging very close to the money spot but upon turning over she made no move towards a HE or anything. That being said I didn't press the issue so perhaps on another visit it would happen.
I was about to leave her a tip and she just excused herself and said goodbye. Maybe she is new to the business?

Great visit with JoJo, recognized me as a repeat customer so a little less nervous and a little quicker to take me to the mountains.
One downside- the mamasan, Jessica, has something bad happening with her face. I don't know what it is, but it doesn't look good- we're talking huge, no bandage open sore. If the provider is an independent and advertises on a forum that implies extras I see no issue with not tipping above the house. If on the other hand the MP is a place where the provider is an employee then if the service, whether or not there is a HE, then a tip of some size is in order.

Stopped in at Arlington xxx-2210, I do love the table shower. It seems they've done some work. They've added an extra massage room, and made the shower room smaller. It's still fine, tho.
