Granted, I usually showed up there around 4 am with a stripper or two, and there was no official declaration of "rent a room for 2 hours", but the understanding was we would shower, enjoy ourselves, and be gone before housekeeping arrived.
Downsides: it was not a nice place at all, it's not in town (south on 52), and there's nothing else around it so in the pre-Uber age we didn't expect refreshments or supply drops.
