I would not bother.
1. it is Goochland. Squeaky clean and the County Admin will already have notified the Sheriffs Office of the business type when they applied for the license.
2. I know the owner of those properties. And for sure nothing will happen there!
So -- they are legit massage only!

This is the one at 7540 West Broad in Henrico. With two visits under my belt I am 1-1. The first visit was a 30 ish Asian woman and let me tell you she needed no instructions. So I just went in enjoying the massage. I asked her about the wall and she told me that the town required them to build it that way.
Overall it was a very thorough massage and I left feeling very relax. I was disappointed though because that was the first time I didn't get any HE. I may try it again at a time I know that it will be less traffic and will try a different lady.

Now I had this same scenario play out in the last three AMP I went to but what got me this was Lakeside so I was thinking they might have changed and I might get more than the usual but Christmas did not come early and got what I expected socks. I just curious why have the AMP have been asking for the tip early, have people not been tipping or is it just been happening to me. Anyway I am done with AMP for awhile especially in Richmond.
On a side note if you can make out the broken english and talk to the girls in an AMP there seems to be a fishy story the one in Lakeside did not know if she could go back to China it was not up to her and the one in Fredricksburg didn't even know what city she was in (she had to ask me). She is very friendly laughs a lot but also will be quiet if you are one of those who doesn't want to talk during massage. She doesn't expect much of a tip and her massage is very good but her hands do Roam some, but nothing illegal but once again this is our RVA and this is about as close as you can get as far as I know at this point. I only go to lakeside because the Taj massage parlor in the W. Side on Broad St. Is under investigation as one provider was arrested on 11/19/14. Any other parlors that I should try? She's easy on the eyes with a decent body but I'm sorry no happy ending is worth $200. ANYWAYYYY. Went to the "new" place on Robius to check it out. Spotted not one but TWO leos outside. When I first pulled in I saw one car / two guys casing the place and thought I'd sit patiently to see what happened. What a lucky birdwatcher I was! Within a few minutes, their CO pulled up and backed in, lazy-ass LEO style, to chat window to window. I had seen enough. I GTFO.
Because I'm a glutton for punishment, I went to Taiji after they started advertising under a new name. Nope! Same old POS. Facility was disgusting. Everything smelled like mold. On the flip--just kidding, there was no flip. Nada. Zilch. Nothing. Then I got my table shower after the rubdown and somehow felt more disgusting than before I was "bathed". I showered when I got home because I smelled like a wet towel.
Never again, Richmond.

Lucy is very skilled. The massage started as expected, face down and proceeded without any teasing or hints of anything other than a legit massage. On the flip there was some teasing with her hands wandering but not touching anything covered. I declined the offered DIY. Nothing was rushed and I got a full 90. I don't think they offer a table shower, at least, I wasn't offered one, so, even with the hot towel, I left feeling oily.

The massage room is an actual room with no door. A curtain hangs across the doorway. One odd thing that became annoying, they had 5 or 6 songs looping during my massage. One was an asian version of Auld Lang Syne and the other was something that sounded like an extended cut of the theme from the TV show Taxi. I swear both songs played at least 4 times, maybe 5, while I was there.
Because there is no door you can clearly hear everything going on in the lobby. Two customers came in during my massage and one, who tried to haggle over the price of a 60 min session, was loud enough he might as well have been in the room with Lucy and I.

I stopped in after work recently for a 90 min massage. The place is on the ground floor of a two story commercial strip. You cannot see it from the road or the main entrance for the shopping center's parking lot.
When I entered the lobby I was greeted by a cute young asian girl. She had a decent command of English and chatted me up while she processed my card. My research of the place suggested it is owned / run by the same people who run Tranquil. She confirmed this during our chat and took time to stress that this location had all new and different "girls" (her word, not mine). After completing my payment she quickly ushered me to a room.
Environment;.
The room was a room, walls to the ceiling and rather large compared to most of the massage rooms I have been in. The room has no door, a hanging curtain provides privacy. The room has a small single speaker stereo that the masseuse used to play a mix of modern Chinese ballads in the style of Josh Groban and Mariah Carey.
The table was not a professional massage table. The table was a thick piece of plywood with a hole cut in it for your face when laying on your stomach. The plywood is covered by a thin layer of foam under a sheet. There is no cushion around the hole for your face, just two folded terry cloth towels. There was no cover to use when I lay down but the room was warm. When the masseuse started she used a small white sheet to cover areas she was not actively working.
Massage;.
Anna was my masseuse. She was not the woman who greeted me in the lobby. Anna is fit, tall compared to the asian women I usually see at an AMP and has strong hands. She looked to be in her 40's, was friendly and tried to talk to me throughout the session but her accent was so heavy I had trouble understanding her.
On a scale of 10 I put Anna's skill level around a 6. 5. It wasn't a bad massage but I have had better. She kept me on my stomach for an hour before the flip. I feel like the massage mostly stopped after the flip. She did a scalp massage and then there was a lot of teasing and feather touch. She didn't keep to the normal boundaries and I declined the DIY. With 10 minutes left, if I understood her correctly. Which I may not have, I think she tried to get me to buy extra time for a foot massage, again, I declined.
She rubbed me down with a hot towel at the end but I still left feeling oily.
Overall the experience was ok but I did not leave relaxed. I might return in a pinch but this place will not be in my regular rotation. Tranquil has a much better environment and the masseuse I have had there gives a better, more relaxing massage.

They could have been counting customers. Odds are they know how many customers the legit AMPs get. If one place is doing 2 or 3 times the business it's a clue something is going on. They may not have been just in the car staking the place out, too. They could have had someone on the inside getting a massage that they were monitoring. They may have placed bugs in multiple rooms and were there to listen to what's going on. Placing a bug would be so freaking easy in most of these places. Everyone of them starts off by taking you to a room and telling you to get comfortable. And then they leave you alone for 3-5 minutes (or more). Even if the AMP had a camera it would be easy to do.
They may have been just sitting in the car eating Krispy Kremes but my guess is there was more going on.
Now this is just the obvious stuff. If you think about it some, you can come up with several more reasons why they'd be in the lot. Personally, when the AMPs started coming to Richmond I visited a few. I was hoping they'd be like Sun's was in Greensboro, NC when mongering was easier. Or, at least as good as some of the Waldorf establishments were 15 to 20 years ago. None of them came close. Given the heat they seem to get based on the busts you read about and the reports here (no service and cops watching) I've stayed almost completely away. They are a poor value imo.

So I'm driving home at 9:30 on a Friday night thinking where could I get a decent massage and leave happy. Well, in Richmond, nowhere. Around here, finding a decent massage and leaving happy has about the same success as one of those $20,000 scratch off tickets. But I had an idea where I could get a crummy massage and leave somewhat relieved: and that's ol' Sheba at mindbodybalance (or whatever she calls it). She's been reviewed extensively on this site and I don't want to pile on but I feel like I can add a couple of things to the discussion.
So I haven't seen her in like, about 2 years and I give her a call and she picks up before the 1st ring stops. "How are you?" (I guess she still has my number saved in her phone.) "Where have you been?" "Come right over". Great. So I head on over and I sure as hell remember to take off my shoes when I get in and the first thing she says when I come in: "Look at you, you've gained 50 pounds". Well, you know what, she's right. Working my ass off for the last 2 years I really haven't been hitting the gym and eating right. But I laugh it off. Besides, she's the one that has to stare at my ugly ass, so what do I care? One thing I didn't say to her: I remember her having a pretty good rack and not a bad figure (was it my rose colored glasses?) But it looks like she shrunk down from a see+ cup to an A- cup and it went all to her stomach. She looked 3 months pregnant. (Wouldn't dare comment that to her). Back a couple of years ago I saw this girl, "Lynn". I saw her once and didn't see her for almost another year afterwards. She was self-taught but I remember Lynn got really good in that year. Here, I haven't seen Sheba in around 2 years so I figured she's got to be better, right? So I'm lying on her massage table and thinking: just how many massages have you done in the last two years? Three? You can't call it a massage, it doesn't even rate a "body rub". It's sorta of like her pushing your skin around in random places at random times. So after a 90 minute body rub and a retarded HE (see alternates between your package and your feet) I left feeling "OK".
So, the verdict: Massage see -, HE the +, will I return? YES. For all her faults she is still one of the better providers in town in that a see- massage with a HE is better than an A massage without one (in by book) and a crummy HE is better that DIY (again, in my book). And, she has never shorted me on the time. I've been looking at the reviews I've missed and I saw where one poster said Richmond is worse than Salt Lake City. I can believe it. Richmond might be worse than Tehran.
