The goal here is to eliminate prostitution, which is against the law. No comment about whether it should be illegal. Fact is, it is right now. So with no evidence other than 'I saw you at a seedy hotel where we busted someone for prostitution' you can get a ticket for visiting a bawdy house. You might be there totally innocently, just visiting a friend, helping out someone down on their luck, spending a night in a cheap hotel cause that's where your company puts you up, or you might be looking to monger. Everyone can get a ticket. There's no intent to do the leg work to separate the guilty from the innocent.

Aside of a regular provider, from my experience, it's not uncommon to contact a provider and to get an address to a notel and to get a room number after I have arrived in the parking lot to then text or call and say "I'm here".

watta false alarm.having gotten caught in what is clearly a beefed up police presence, i can conclusively tell you that you're wrong. henrico in particular (henrico police never have anything better to do) are driving through west end hotel lots (i've watched it) and setting up stings all over the place (i know because i was caught in one). please gentlemen watch out for yourselves, and if you find yourself being asked what kind of service you would like (fs, half and half, uncovered anything, or any kind of service related lingo) run for it. i noticed i was getting set up and tried to walk out, she tried to coax me back in and when i walked out they still hit me with visiting a known bawdy residence. police presence is up. whether it is temporary or just the new way, you all should be very aware that they are trying to make arrests, and are happy to give you a lesser charge if they can't hit you for solicitation. stay safe.

I answered a Craigslist post that claimed to be a VCU student on campus for the summer. Claimed to be looking for some fun and some help with her rent. Sent a nice (but found elsewhere) face pic. Anyone else have had this issue?Visit the site and search for your name / number. If you are on the site, hit delete on your page. The site has to, by law, delete your account. The most common way guys get on the site is by responding to a fake ad. The faux escort was created just for this site. Other than that, a disgruntled provider or partner could put you on it.
Best method to prevent a future listing is using a prepaid phone.

Sometime ago I made a very good argument about continuing to support thieves and bad service. I strongly suggested that we not support Vicki, many agreed. I always google to see what's around the perimeter and to look for landmarks. This was an address to a row of town houses in Henrico. Unfortunately, traffic was bad and I had to cancel. Fast forward to this week, and it send out another message trying to connect. I get a yes, come over. I'm expecting to go to the same place but I get a different address also in Henrico. I had an old picture from the first time we talked so I ask for another one and I get one of a totally different person. I thought WTF. Diff address, diff person, could be a rob or it could one of my closest relatives trying to meet me. Shortly after, and in quick succession, I received several body and face pics of the original person with enough ink on them that would make it impossible to fake who this person is. They all matched the original person and the wrong photo was explained away as "I knew you were being an ass asking for pics so I was messing with you". The different address was explained as being safe to move around. The second address was in a different town house complex about 4 miles away from the original one.
Needless to say, I didn't partake. This person was very indignant when I backed off and I have all the pics. Not sure if it's proper protocol to put them up here or not so I will wait for advice from you guys or I can pm them to you to see if you have ever met this cute bird.
P.S. My head was swiveling like the radar at Richmond International!

You actually answered your own question -- it stops their # getting added to google and others. Like if you google their number, then there is a good chance you will NOT find their other adverts in other places. Pain for us, but also stops Uncle LEO from tracking them as easily (at least that is the idea).
