I've got a very promising appointment coming up. Might be the best yet. I've known her for a while and trust her. I've had a few appointments with her with no real extras, but I think she trusts me now. Because of the price I've been quoted and her description of what is going to happen I'm expecting a really amazing experience. More than a massage, more than a hj, more than a gfe.Hmmm, I hope for your sake you're right but the fact you've had to invest a few sessions into this so far with nothing to show for it doesn't sound very promising to me. All you really know for sure is that you'll be paying even more for this next session. Okay, you'll probably get more for it too, but I'd be willing to bet not nearly as much as you think, particularly given the way you've built it up in your mind.

Also, you should factor into how much you think you're really paying for this not just the cost of the next session but everything you've paid to get this far. I hope its worth it. Or was that what you meant by building up anticipation? Paying for a bunch of dates with a girl without getting any sex on the hope that she'll come to "trust you" (more like trust you to spend money on her) and then maybe give you something more if you spend even more. I just don't get it. That seems like a lot of effort and money for whatever you're getting. Actually it sounds a lot like what one goes through when dating regular girls only its costing you even more. When I pay for sex, I'm paying for someone more attractive than what I'd be able to get regularly, but I'm also paying so I don't have to go through all that lengthy bullshit. Don't get me wrong, I agree that a little buildup can be good, but an hour or an evening or a few minutes. Not weeks.

BTW, what is more than a GFE? A WiFE? To me that's going a little TOO far. Personally, I'd rather just stick with the usual plain old wonderful GFE's.

Made a trip Osaka. Back door locked and had to make the walk of shame around to the front door. Place looks the same as it did 6 months ago, it did feel good being back in the old place, but the good times stopped there. My masseuse May gave a half hearted TS, massage, and happy ending. Out the door and probably won’t return.

Xu and Jin are also traditional Chinese family names. The Jin dynasty lasted for centuries... Not sure about Song. My info comes from my Hong Kong associate Yu Hung Fat (really!).

Song is a very common Korean last name and she definitely at least looks Korean (more angular jaw line). The other two its harder to tell from just their pics, but HW19 seems to be right about their names.

Here is what my research turned up:
1) The most common Korean surname (particularly in South Korea) is Kim, followed by Lee (Rhee, Yi) (second most common) and Park (Pak) (third most common). Together, these top three surnames make up slightly more than half of the Korean population (based on South Korea). source - wikipedia
2) The top ten Korean surnames are: Kim, Lee (Yi/Rhee), Park (Pak), Choi (Choe), Jung (Jeong/Chung), Kang (Gang), Jo (Cho), Yoon (Yun), Jang (Chang) and Im (Yim/Lim). Other popular Korean surnames include: Ahn (An), Han, Go (Ko), Goo (Ku), Oh, Noh, Shin (Song), and Yoo (Yu). source http://www.koreanwiz.org/understand.html. btw, that page has a lot of other interesting korean trivia like "Unlike other Asians such as the Chinese and Japanese, Koreans use the spoon rather than chopsticks to eat rice." makes more sense to me.

Also, I'm not so sure I'd agree that "everyone knows the Koreans got the market in this area". However, I'd agree that everyone who frequents local AMPs knows the Koreans got at least the vast majority of the market in this area. Personally, I think every AMP provider that I've met in this area has been Korean, but I've met only a tiny fraction. And I haven't always asked even those I have met where they were from let alone asked to see any ID's. If the authorities involved in the arrest say they're Chinese nationals and are prepared to deport them back to China then I'm prepared to say they're probably Chinese nationals.

Finally, re: suspicious activity, "Can the general public be that stupid?" I'd never underestimate the potential naivete of the general public. If you're a weekly church-goer who has never been in an AMP yourself, you might initially think people go there just for asian massages (and a few probably do). After all, they do have the word massage in their name and, in the case of this place, acupressure charts on the walls that are visible through the front window. Sure its a very thin disguise, but isn't the whole idea to make the place seem legit. If they hadn't figured it out before that, I'd say that guys going there for massages at 1 in the morning would definitely qualify as suspicious activity that would finally tip them off.

The quality of the reporting is fine, TremontTeddy ... don't shoot the messenger who brings you bad news. The part about the women being Chinese nationals is what was written in the police report and filed with the district attorney's office. You can argue that the neighbors probably should have known what was happening at the massage parlor, but don't blame the reporter for the neighbors' ignorance. Remember, newspaper stories are written for general audiences -- in this case, for readers who aren't as well versed in the hobby as we are.

Not to defend them, but there are many Koreans who live in China, particularly in the borderlands with North Korea. They are "Chinese nationals" of Korean ethnicity. As a matter of fact, the famous Tina (of Osaka fame) was one of these. She was an ethnic Korean, but was born and raised in China, and spoke both Chinese (of some sort) and Korean.Correct. And there are more and more of them in AMPs all across the country. It used to be that South Koreans totally dominated the AMP market. Now, ethnic Koreans from China comprise a much higher percentage. It seems to me that they are often willing to work for less money and are happy with lower tips.

South Koreans with green cards or US citizenship demand more money for less service. They are more likely to be into status symbols, designer handbags and driving Lexus and Mercedes cars while the Chinese want to make quick money and take it back home.

Lots of Vietnamese are also getting in on the action. A tell-tale sign is a Budha and burning incense just inside the front exterior door.

It seems that I rarely see girls from Thailand, which is too bad because the ones I have encountered often offered exceptional service.

I've been running into some Chinese from Hong Kong especially in AAMPs.

So then I said 'nee hao ma' to which she said something totally unintelligible to me as I just said one of only three things I know how to say in Chinese. Got a good laugh out of her.

I'm surprised they got busted because they were usually pretty careful. Although I only visited during the day.

After reviewing the Pasco County Sheriffs Website it appears all 3 were born in China, 2 with INS holds, thus making them Chinese nationals.

I guess the only case of “piss poor reporting” was by yours truly.

When I walked in, the girl who took the house fee was smoking. I asked if it was her that I will be seeing, and she said no, that I will be seeing Jenny. I figured that it would be just my luck that Jenny would be an old mamasan. Nope. I was wrong. She was even hotter than the first girl that I met.

The service here is good, but I found to be very pricey which is why I haven't been back. She wanted $$ for FS, and as tempted as I was, I declined, optioning for french at $. Still pricey, but it was BB. From what she told me, the girls come down from Jax for a couple of weeks, then get a week off.

I drove past Kimura Spa yesterday. I had visited the 25 year old pictured from Miyako there before--she went by Sarah. Anyway, Kimura's lights were out when I drove by. I'm not sure if they were busted or just laying low.

I got the impression that the two were connected, with the girls working in both places, but it was never confirmed.

With these two places dark, has anyone ventured to Sensations Spa for aromatherapy? They advertise in Nightmoves magazie. Or has anyone been to Suki's Spa in Palm Habor or the Oriental Spa in Clearwater (I guess it's Clearwater, just south of Curlew on 19)?It's been ages since I visited Suki. They do the typical rotation thing so the longest a girl is usually there is four to six weeks. Hard to develop a favorite in that kind of set up. They also used to be real hit or miss as far as bang for the buck, so to speak. Usually you would be looking at $$ after the door and quality of both looks and service varied greatly.

I stopped going after I got hooked on Osaka. Now I just can't justify spending close to $$$ for an unknown quantity.

I had to go down to Clearwater this morning to take care of some business and I noticed that there were no lights on at Kimura Spa, and Miyako Spa. In Palm Harbor, there were no cars in the Suki Spa parking lot. It looks like they may be laying low for awhile.

I liked Miyako and always saw Angie. I was surprised as hell to find out that she was 45 years old. Had me fooled. I figured mid 30's.

Low and behold I was at Hess gettin gas and the infamous Tina pulled up in the passenger seat of a pickup with a rather old guy. Not sure if she recognized me but gave me a smile, the guy never left her alone while he payed at the pump so I didn't get a chance to ask for digits or anything but its nice to know she is still around.

I think Osaka is under new management but not a new owner,* and that they are deliberately keeping things low-key, probably for a while, until the pigs have had enough fun wasting the taxpayers' money. My hope is that after a while, they'll go back to the wonderful old days.

That's what LEO is all about. What's the danger of busting an AMP as opposed to taking down a crack den? The same thing in St. Pete last week. A crack house flourishes while LEO rolls the poor homeless guy in a wheel chair off the median, where he's trying to earn enough money to sleep inside at night. Priorities are different for Leo. Its all about what gets him home safe.

I think that LE has pretty much hit the easy targets in the area (read the news) and anyone with an ace up their sleave isn't going to burn it on a board such as this. Best luck is craigslist. Pm meA little common sense can go a long way. You have to pay the door fee up front. Whatever is agreed to after the door has closed should include whether you are tipping/donating before or after her companionship has commenced or completed. YMMV, it's all up to each individual situation. How bout you leave your wallet outside, locked in your vehicle and only take the cash that you are willing to dispose of. That way your report will not be about how your wallet was stolen, it'll be about how your experience was.

I also don't post about every single event that takes place for me out there, so maybe that's shame on me, but we can't all assume that every new person to this forum is LE. Plus let's face the facts. LE already knows what is going on out there with or without our help. They have been doing raids & busts long before the internet and forums like this.

First, if you find yourself in a situation where you didn't get prices up front, your cash is still in your pants. Your pants don't leave the room, right? Second, find out what is available. Ask questions. You walk into an established shop, it's not likely you're walking into a sting. Third, this hobby has risks. If you can't handle them, don't play. I've never heard of a monger who walked into either an AMP or lingerie shop who had his wallet stolen, but there's plenty who've had escorts or SWs run with the cash. (Cue the mongers who have had their wallet stolen at an AMP.)

Finally, if you post here, you might want to grow some thicker skin. Inevitably, someone is going to find a way to say something about what you post that pisses you off. It's not worth getting your knickers in a knot.

I make it easy. I leave my wallet in my vehicle. That way I. The. , credit cards, pictures of family, name and address are out of harms' way, relatively speaking. I go in with various amounts of cash in various pockets. One pocket has the house fee. The other 3 pockets have various amounts. I'm not sure it is a good idea to pull all of your cash out at one time and just give them some of it, because they then know that there's more to be had. The objective is to pay as much as you need to to get the job done, without overpaying. I guess Osaka ruined some of us, because no money was considered above the house fee until it was time to go. Other places, other people, seeing more money left, might be inclined to try to upsell you. That's my humble opinion, anyway.

You shouldn't be "constantly tipping the girl throughout the session". In my experience with shops, you pay the door fee which is $60.$80 at an AMP and $30.$40 at a lingerie shop. The girl leaves the room, you disrobe and you leave the tip on an end table nearby. She comes back, eyeballs the tip and is either satisfied with it or wants more. You do a little bit of simple negotiating and then that's it. The business is done and you get on with the session. If she starts in again for more money, do what you gotta do and then report the upselling skank right here on this forum.

I've been to places where you undress and put your clothes and wallet in a locker and take the key, but more usual is that you leave everything in the therapy room and then get walked around to the shower and steam rooms. It was posted before about bringing you wallet or ID with you.
One if a bust does happen, If you have ID, you are more likely to be able to leave if you are not involved in any illegal activity. You are in a established business and you have no idea what is offered other than a massage.
Two: When you are escorted to the shower/sauna, another girl usually goes thru your wallet checking for ID. If you are out of town, or have no signs of LE, then your action will probably be more in hopes of what you would like.
This may not be fact?
But it does make since to me.
Even where you lock your belongings. They do have the master key.
So my suggestions is this.
Bring whatever cash you are willing to spend.
Have your ID.
Leave CC and Bank cards somewhere else .

This has really gotten out of control. All the AMP's in Tampa and the ones I've visited in my travels in the US are set up the same.

1. Your gonna be asked two questions at AMP’s by the mamasan. You want massage? You been here b4? Answer yes to both.

2. You pay your house fee b4 anything happens, usually when you’re escorted to your room.

3. Next your asked to get undressed and get ready for TS (table shower). They all have a plastic see-thru purse in the room, usually on the bed, shelf, or hanging from something. You put your valuables in there i.e. wallet, money, keys, watch. Your carry that bag and it stays with u at all times.

4. Tipping is usually conducted after the flip and b4 the main event. I’m a regular at a few places and simply leave a fair tip on the table b4 the massage, the girl notices it and nothing is discussed.

For further reading, there are several posters in other cities that post very detailed descriptions of their visits to AMP’s. Some of these reports could be used as a step-by-step guide for a newbie.

Tremont Teddy hit it on the nose. I would like to add a couple of observations.

First, I have never bothered with taking my valuables with me as I go to the TS or sauna. I have never had any trouble with stealing, and I doubt that would occur, seeing as these places are trying to stay UTR anyway. In fact, I one time inadvertantly overpaid the room fee, and had the young lady bring me back the difference.

Next, as to having my wallet searched for ID, I cant say. I used to leave my wallet in the car, and that's probably not a bad idea, but I have never had a problem at any AMP I have visited. I don't bother with that anymore.

Finally, I have found it best to become a regular wherever you go. Mamasan treats you better, you get the top shelf girls, and guess what....they talk about you to the other girls. so by the time you get there, they already know what your preferences are. I tend to tip well, so I find minimal quality change from shift to shift. We all have women we get along with better than others, obviously, but the break in time with a new lady is usually non-existant.

Went to Osaka early Sat. Night. I wanted to see if things have gotten better since last time I was there. I was met by a big Korean woman named Connie who took me to my room.

I set off the door chime when I went in, and there is a brochure with packages, pricing, and offers for gift certificates. Uh oh, I don't think this is one of them types of places I was looking for.

A very attractive MT came out. Asian with short blond hair, 35, very fit body, and hard c-cups. She was very chatty and her accent was minimal.

I opted for the $100 package which included massage, sauna, and body scrub. She guided me to a changing room with lockers, and I stowed my stuff and met her at a massage room. None of the rooms have doors, just curtains.

She have me a lack luster massage--for a legit place--I give it a 5/10. The sauna was very relaxing, and the body scrub was clinical.

Took one for the team. No extras were even hinted at. She didn't even drift towards anything personal during the massage. I miss the quality of the massage at Kimura and Miyako. Sort of a side-ways business, but the massages were great.

As I understand it from an AMP source, it was J Spa. Apparently on that day most if not all of the AMPs in Tampa were visited by a UC. Each was aksed if there was an LMT working. Apparently J Spa did not. This info comes from someone in the business. In fact if you follow TM's link you will see the individual is employed at J Spa.

Endless Summer is apparently a 'legitimate' spa that is right next door, to the north of Japanese Spa. They also offer nail service, waxing, etc. according to the advertising on the side of the building. I believe it used to be Ansley health foods a few years ago.

Went there late Saturday night. Haven't been there in over a year. The selection wasn't as good as the the Sunshine Spa it used to be, but service was still available. I didn't notice it before but they have an ATM there. Sorta ruins the "I only have $100 on me" routine we sometimes give.

I haven't been able to verify this but I did hear it from a K girl that Gold Spa was busted at 11:30 PM Thursday night. Apparently, according to my source, there were violations that ranged from practicing a medical profession without a license, prosititution, immigration and maybe a few others. If anyone learns whether this is true it would be appreciated if an update, confirmation, or a correction would be made. As someone else posted here, there are visits being made in the late evenings, including on at approximately 1:30 in the morning on Kenneday.

I took one for the team with Rare Gold a few days ago. We use the word "legitimate" sometimes to mean "not sexual" but "legitimate" is not the appropriate word here. Since they are licensed it proves that standards are very low. My therapist had very little clue about how to give a massage. I almost got up and left about halfway thru the torture session. I asked for light pressure and she said "How about this amount of pressure" with a light amount of pressure near the beginning of the massage, but 80% of the massage was spent with her applying a painful amount of pressure to my calves. Full draping not optional. When it was time to flip she picked up the towel and held it in front of her so she could not see me and told me to turn over. Cold lotion for the massage. When is the last time you felt that? Rude, cold voice also. I did not in any way indicate I was looking for a sexual experience. A cold, impersonal experience not worth any money at all. I don't believe anyone would go there twice.

Yes, your calculations are spot on. The only advantages are (1) You don't need to get a hotel, (2) You don't need an appointment, and (3) You're not reliant on incall girls in various and sometimes seedy parts of town. But as others here can attest the service at these shops can be uneven

You will be hard-pressed to find an AMP equipped to handle that, but if they were willing to do it I doubt they would still offer a HE. If you're looking for a legit massage experience, you're on the wrong board.

If you're looking for your GF to watch you get a happy ending or for you both to get it in parallel, your best bet is an outcall. Most AMPs are not going to go for this as all things considered, they're very conservative.

Also, an AMP is going to have at best a very cramped room with no place to sit. What is your GF going to do? Stand for an hour? Again, your best bet is to get an outcall service to your house, and explain beforehand your GF will be there.

What is your GF trying to get out of this? Do you think she really wants to do it herself and is using you as a cover? You maybe opening Pandora's Box here.

A few years ago during the heyday, I was in Yoshiko with one of the hunnies there when the door bell buzzed. I heard a female voice. I asked and was told that women do come by from time to time for a massage. I did not ask if they got a happy ending.

Any of the AMPs would provide you a massage but I am less confident they would allow your GF to watch - - unless you tipped rather handsomely. And even then I don't think she'd give you the happy ending.

You should have read the first paragraph of the SP Times article more carefully:

It's been a while since I've tried the AMP scene in TPA. A place I used to stop at was Yoshiko. Never again. Less than mediocre (and way short) massage and then was what I wanted. She wanted a min $100 for HJ. Real attitude when I tried to negotiate, she wouldn't take a penny below $100 and suggested I get dressed. Never ever again.

I am very sorry to hear that. After the Four Seasons went away over here in Pinellas, I searched around for a decent replacement. Yoshiko was a reasonable find, though across the bridge and therefore not as accessible. My experiences, though limited, were perfectly acceptable. The ladies were young and pretty, and altogether accomodating. I never received a bad attitude from anyone. In fact, I received FS without any mention of $, so there was no negotiation involved. It saddens me to know that another choice has gone by the wayside.

The question of where the Aloha is, it's in Clearwater, off of Ulmerton, near the St. Pete/Clearwater airport. I know I am asking alot of questions but I don't know if I have seen this one asked before, well aside from me asking it one post down.

The question being: Will the mamisans give you a massage if you want her to ?
Guess this would be different from place to place, but what do you know about the mamasan at Aloha in clearwater (If she is stacked ) and the mamasan at Gold Spa which sounds like she is blessed ?

I went to (I will spell this wrong) Yokohama, and I think it was the mamasan who gave me the massage. She kept asking if I wanted one of the other girls and I said, no you stay.

It's in my opinion quite subjective. Is she having a good night emotionally, has she made good $ yet that night or that week for that matter. These S. Korean's have huge debts to pay off to their keepers for their travel to America. I gave 80 for the room and when she asked what I wanted, I said one forty. Whats she gonna do? Hand crank it for twenty when she could do that same thing she is used to doing all the time and make seven times the money? I have never been told to leave, this is not enough in any AMP, ever. Tremont Teddy is correct on pay scales.

Different towns have different rates, and the girls will take advantage of you.
They will ask if you have ever been here before, or if you are traveling etc. etc. If they find out you are from out of town do not smile to big when they tell you the price of extra's. After they quote you the over inflated price just be polite and inform them that spa xxx down the road is only $ for the service. Watch how fast the price comes down then.

I was on a business trip to a city in North Ohio. Visitd a well known spa there and paid 8 Jacks for FS plus the 3 Jacks for house.

My next visit there I was having to wait so I struck up a conversation with mamasan and we discussed the prices. Seemed like mamasan has a set fee for her girls as she and the girls split everything 50/50, house fee tips etc. etc.

When mamasan found out that I was overcharged she let me have this session with no house fee and I got offered two girl for price of tips, so free hour on house and two girls for 5 jacks each. Just because I asked a question.

Moral of the story? It does not hurt to ask questions, and knowing what the going rate is helps also. Negociate with the girl, she knows what you are there for, and it is just a matter of deciding on the pay for the pleasure.

Remember supply and demand, you have the supply and you need to keep it as inexpensive as possible. Enjoy and be safe,WAV.

Sunshine is my ATF - great combination of beauty, personality and ability. I agree, I rather doubt that she is returning. For her, I wish all the best. For the rest of us, our loss.

The question of where the Aloha is, it's in Clearwater, off of Ulmerton, near the St. Pete/Clearwater airport. In fact, some times it was disconcerting to hear a plane land so close over your head that you thought it might hit the building. I always felt that being found dead in an AMP because a plane hit it was not the way I wanted to be remembered. Might put a dark spot on my legacy.

I have no idea how it is lately...I haven't been back since she left. I would appreciate a heads up as to the talent currently available. Also, if mamasan Suji came back, that would be a good thing. She ran a relatively tight ship and put up with very little bs.

I try to keep what I call the hooker principal in mind when ever I do business. Especially when it relates to, well this kinda of business.

The principal says "the value of goods greatly depreciates after services are rendered" so remeber just becaue your getting very little blood to your brain when you walk in doesn't mean you will happy when you leave especially if you don't try to work the price.

In recent yrs I have not paid more then. 10 for services sometimes I have had to really negotiate the deal when they try to down sell me and talk. 9 for BBBJ but you stay on it and say no this for this and hold your ground they are in sales and they understand that 80% of something is a whole lot better then 100% of nothing. Not like they are going to brag about getting low balled. But they will brag about getting a sucker.

I also find that when I leave they will try to upsell for next time by saying ok next time you pay $$$ dollars ok? I tell them nope you enjoyed it to. And they laugh and when you come back they are happy to see you.

Remember the entire culture they come from is based on barter and bargaining so they appreciate it when a client is good at it, as long as you are stern and not a jerk about it you can do very well. Remeber there are lots of AMPs and they want your business to. Good luck

Well I went a few days ago and it was just OK.

I forget the girls name sorry.

Anyway there seemed to be a little up-selling going on, I might have payed too much for what I selected from the menu.

Wondering if Osaka Spa has backslid to it's awesome ''old ways''? Was there yesterday and tried a new ploy. I asked if a nude massage was offered. Got a flat out NO. I declined to stay for a handshake. I sure miss that place.

That's kind of a dumb thing to do. Of course they're going to say "no." If you walked in off the street and asked "Can I get a handjob with my massage?" You would get the same answer. Given the recent troubled past, they will refuse any overt solicitation questions.

In northern Virginia, almost all of the massage places are rub & tug. But some shops do offer "extras" to regular visitors who happen to bring their own hats. But the girls and mamasan need to trust you and you don't mind taking a used wet hat wrapped in tissue out with you. I would suggest rather than asking for services, lay the appropriate service tip on the table, ensure she sees it. When it comes time for the "roll ovah hunny..." you can discreetly motion to the table. When she pleads "no condom", then you pull one out of your pocket. If she is a player, then she collects. If not then she won't.

TAMPA - Police seized more than $24,000 and arrested two people during an investigation at a South Tampa massage spa Thursday.

Joo Kim, 46, and Mee Yung Pak, 43, gave undercover officers deep tissue massages without being licensed by the state to do so, Sgt. James Contento said.

Kim and Pak were charged with felony unlicensed practice of a health care profession. Pak also was charged with offering sex for money, a misdemeanor.

The raid at The Gold Spa, 3637 S. Dale Mabry Highway, took place at 2:10 p.m. Thursday.

Officers found $24,157 cash in a wicker basket, Contento said. Nobody claimed ownership, so officers seized the money.

Kim's bail was set at $2,000. Pak's bail was set at $2,250. Each has been released.

These places do not make end of the day bank deposits. Heck, I'd be surprised if the even had a bank account. If they did it was only used to cover rent, Tribune ads, and the glitzy ad in Nightmoves. The rest of the money gets fed back into the Korean massage parlor "machine".

You are correct for the most part Drew. Most men do not want to use a credit or debit card because it leaves a paper trail for them if married, and for those who are not as well. The providers aren't happy about the tips being on cards because they have to wait for it and there are sometimes differences of opinion on whether there are tips due or not due on the settlement of the card charges. Most card charges are settled by the card merchant once a week. And that money definitely goes in to a bank account.

The reason for keeping the cash on hand is fairly simple. Very, very few of the workers or managers have automobiles or even licenses. Some work for owners who do have cars and those owners shop each week for food for the workers and do any other errands that need to be done. Considering the location of the spa in question, it is a bit of a stretch to walk to a bank so the cash was probably kept on hand until the owner gets there to take his or her cut. All of it might have been the owner's, or the cash may have also been part of the money earned by the workers. Some will wire the money to family in Korea, to family in the US, or to a trusted friend in the US to deposit in the worker's bank account at home but the workers have the same problem - what to do with the cash until it can be spent or sent to family. In any event, the cash is pretty much kept on the premises. The more experienced managers/workers/owners who have been through this before find ways to hide the cash. The story on the confiscation did not say where the wicker basket was located. It might have been in plain sight or it might have been sitting behind the dumpster outside. I think, though, that we all agree it was too much cash to keep on hand. I still remember the story about J Spa having their door kicked in and getting robbed.

As for the Korean AMP machine, I'm not sure what that means. I have had a few personal relationships with these ladies and I've not yet found an instance where the workers had to give up any of their money to anyone else, except to contribute each week for food and to the manager, who is not paid by the owner.

I've also had a relationship with an owner and she has been able to keep the money she's earned from the business. There may very well be organized AMPS but I haven't met or known anyone yet who is part of a larger organization.

All in all, I'd speculate that this particular AMP will always be under scrutiny based on its track record over the past 12 or 13 months whether it is sold, put under new management, or even if it finds a way to fly under the radar.

My friend who is an owner does not send her money to anyone. And I've been with her at times when she has called women directly to ask for them to come work for her. I'm sure there are individuals who will act on behalf of those looking for a new gig, but it's not the only game in town. I have a friend who just up one day and left the employment of my owner friend. She worked for a short period of time on the west coast and then went to work in Arizona. She has not set a time frame but wants to come back east and just spend some time enjoying life with the money she's earning. I'm sure there are some organized operations but my experiences lead me to believe it's not nearly as prevalent as LE and the media would like us all to think. My owner friend worked in the business, left it to buy a non AMP business, sold it after a couple of years and used the proceeds to put a down payment on the AMP she now owns. She entered into an agreement to pay the rest of the purchase price in monthly payments to the previous owner. Neither sends any money to another entity. Whatever is left over at the end of the month is theirs and they spend it accordingly. I believe the K girls have it far better than other nationalities that work in the business. I'm not so sure about the Russian and Hispanic massage providers though.

I stand corrected. Of course, cash is king in a business such as this. It just boggles the mind to think of that much green sitting around unsecured. Assuming that the bucks were not pooled, at roughly $.4 a massage, which is generous, thats a pretty fair number of events for an individual (like over 150). If each massage is an hour, that's a alot of days. It seem absurd to have that much cash on hand, but I guess I'm just thinking inside the box(pun intended).

It is the Korean network that supports such entrepreneurial endeavors. As you know the girls come from all over the country - NY, California... Money is recycled back to it - not necessarily from the girl's pocket but from AMP profits.

It's not like the mafia, but mamasan knows who to call to get girls and those persons know how to get them there.In my years mongering in the AMP arena I have learned a lot. I have been to AMPs all over the east coast. Everything is run from Queens. Ask any of these South Korean girls if they have been to Queens before, casually . You will see that 95% of them have been there. They are brought there first for their AMP training and breaking in period, although some girls have told me they learn the shiatzu techiniques at a young age back in Korea.

After Queens they are sent out in rotation to the network which is all over the country, Europe too. Philly and Atlanta are hubs of this business as well, but you can see that it is pervasive here in the Bay area too, look at how many AMP's there are within 30 miles of downtown tampa. Usually girls work 3 month rotations at these shops and then go a different shop. They have large debts to pay to their traffickers for fronting them the money to be in this country whether that be legal or not.
These ladies are taught to never speak of their predicament to anyone, or else their families will be killed in South Korea. In fact they are told to act as if they are here of their own free will and everything is fine.

Imagine if you had no money, no car, no friends, no contacts, your doing an illegal business for money, and no one lets you keep that money. Then you are threatened to have the very thing your working so hard for taken from you if you resist. It seems there is no sense working to send money home eventually, if there is no one left to send it too. Then your in a foreign country alone, what could you do?
I will also volunteer that 26k is next to nothing to be found by police. I have been to an AMP in Philly that had well over 50 "rooms", how much cash do you think they have on hand at any one time? I will say that almost no one uses plastic to get a massage at these places, and if they do they are foolish. Next time you drive from FL to GA on I-75 North, check out and count how many AMP billboards there are right on the highway. Another amazing thing for me is how these girls are coached to act like they speak broken English, when in fact they are actually taught English as part of school, and most speak it fluently. However, they are trained extensively to act as if they don't to prevent you from thinking you could actually communicate with one of these girls and possibly steal them. Some of these beautiful ladies are so good at what they do it has crossed my mind many times and I 'm sure it has crossed yours too. But, they are told to speak like that so they don't have to do different things and make you think its just a communication barrier. Always remember even if they sound like they don't know English, they always understand what you are saying, its just a questions of whether or not they will do it. This way they can just service you in the least amount of time necessary and move on to make more money. Like I said before they have huge debts to pay. I have more to tell but thats enough typing for now.

Methinks you have been reading too many boiler plate LE press releases. The reason everyone is from Queens, at least on the east coast, is because they have apartments in Flushing, a community in the borough of Queens. It's not called Korea-Town for nothing. There is also a Korea-Town in LA on the west coast, and a few other places, just like there is a China-Town in many of our large cities. I'm not sure where you get your information about trafficing but in my years of patronizing AMPs as well as intimate relationships with some of the workers, some of whom have lived and traveled with me, as well as owners whom have lived or traveled with me, your information is for the greatest part simply wrong. The K girls have far more freedom than LE wants to admit. LE uses that technique to just stir up the community to have the places closed.

One friend, who owned a Tampa AMP, who speaks excellent Englsh and owns her own home in the northern part of Florida, is retired from the business. We had the discussion about whether the women are "trafficed" and forced to work under duress. Her reply was, "Bullshit! We do it because of the money."

Those who do work under duress do so because of their own problems. Many are heavy drinkers and spend great sums of money drinking. I've spent many nights at my GF's spa and once the open light goes off they really pound them down. They need money to feed that habit and have a few extra dollars to spend on themselves.

Most of the rest who work under duress do so because they are extremely materialistic and cannot control spending on high end items as well as inexpensive faddish items.

Over the years, I've been welcome in the "employees" area of many AMPs and I have yet to find one who cannot come and go as she pleases or who gives their money up to anyone except the manager. It is and has been standard practice in the business to pay a set amount each week to compensate the manger and a set amount each week for the food that is provided to them.

As for licenses, it is correct that many of them do not have driver's licenses. But there are many who not only have licenses, they have cars, and very nice cars at that. Those who don't have licenses aren't prevented by anyone other than themselves from obtaining a driver's license. If they are from Flushing, far too many speak only Korean to other Koreans. Many do not learn to read, write, or speak English. Those who do learn live a much better life here even if they do work in AMPs.

Quite frankly, I'd like to see just one piece of credible evidence that a Korean AMP is controlled by a human trafficer. I'd like to see one credible piece of evidence that in all the past years LE has been busting and shutting down AMPs that they have located a group or individual here or in Korea who has control over these women. The operative word being Korean AMPs. I have no experience with other AMPs or other ethnic MPs.
