Lane Ave, went last week. This was my first time going to a parlor so I'm not familiar with it, but I had a pleasant time. It's by appointment only. Went for the hour massage which was 60. Flip was great, left a 40 tip. Will repeat, but maybe not the hour. My lower back was sore as hell later.Unfortunately the AMP's don't usually have the skill sets necessary to deal with real pain or avoid causing muscle unrest elsewhere.
But, they usually have an arm that can do the jack hammer motion like nobody's bitness.
Just had my first miserable experience at Aja. Got the new girl Anna (or something similar). First of she was sweating like a hog! Got shorted on time by about 10 minutes. There was actually no massage that ever occurred. It was 10 second tease, flip and play and then she turned on the lights and left the door open and put a fan on full blast. SMH. Avoid this one.I just went there last weekend and I got the same experience, she was rushing and that was no massage at all.

I have received real therapeutic for sore muscles at an AMP but it's a rarity. This isn't relevant because so much has changed since but the best "help" I got was once at Aja about 4 or so years back. I hobbled in and asked if the could walk on my back. I was so bad off I didn't even care if I got an HE. The girl put some sort of a heavy heat pack on my back and wrapped me up really good for about 10 minutes it seemed and I was starting to sweat when she came and walked on my back and things literally started popping back in place and then she gave me some stretches and more things popped in place and I walked out healed.
But that's rarely the case.
Unfortunately the AMP's don't usually have the skill sets necessary to deal with real pain or avoid causing muscle unrest elsewhere.

I agree Mac, but you can get an amazing therapeutic massage at Vitality Spa in JAX Beach and I've got to say they do a great job, better than most of the American born massage therapists I've seen. A fellow monger with scoliosis pointed me there about a year ago. See either Cindy or Mary. They're both licensed and definitely know their stuff. I think both had backgrounds with chiropractors offices and both of them have provided relief for me chasing down and melting trigger points as well as helping with pinched nerves (bad disc). While YMMV, no extras have ever been either hinted at or offered and I doubt that's a possibility. This isn't a plug, and it's off the board's general topic, but they really are good at what they do. The place also has a table shower and stand up shower, but they do that after the massage there.

I usually stick to my favorite spot, but Lily sounded too good to pass up. Thank you guys for the heads up on her, she was great. Her massage was pretty solid as was everything after. Some places will let you tip after your massage. However I've been to some that they require tip money upfront. Not sure if they are trying to weed out any under covers or not? I don't like doing that because they are guaranteed that amount regardless of performance.

Ht.The overwhelming majority of AMPs that I've visited over the years collect house money up front and the tip can go either way. Some collect it in the room and some collect it outside the room after.
The two places I frequent the most (Beach Total Massage & Dolphin Massage, both in Ponte Vedra) let you pay house money and tip money after.

Was stuck in the area a few hours and decided to check it out.

Dropped by Serenity and asked for lee. Previous reports are right I would say mid to late 20's and pretty. Proverbial rock and a hard place. After spending time with both of the wonderful girls at this shop I couldn't choose. I'll take whoever. Has time for me.
Visited tai chi about a month ago and saw Lily. She appears to be in her 30's and well put together. I'd say she is at least basically attractive, which puts her ahead of 80% of MP's locally. I elected for the hhr rate and she delivered a good massage. On the flip, menu was open and I opted for the second level service. That turned out to be really poorly performed, but a menu in this area is rare to begin with. I visited in the evening. The few adjoining businesses in the strip mall were closed. The place is in view from the street, which wouldn't bother me except that the front door was locked and I had to ring twice waiting about 2-3 minutes outside.
Probably will not repeat except for L1 service, maybe, but I wouldn't drop another 100 tip here. That said, I think this is the only place in Jax that I would return to (I travel often, so I have many options). It's the best I've seen here for a long time.

Long time lurker of this site and ready to share some of my Jax experiences. I usually travel from NY down here for work and the talent here really doesn't match up to the NY scene, but oh well. By the way, there are two AMPs in Lake City. The one on 90 about a mile east of I-75 is just good massage. The other (Rose Bodyworks) is right off I-75 on 90 and may offer some higher service--not many reports on it. But the services at the Chinese shops varies by shop and the attendant. Your best bet is to review the comments here and patronize those that are highlighted as offering the treatment you desire. I don't recall any good reviews from the place you visited.

Yes there Chinese shops that do provide the services you desire. While I do believe that the Korean ladies are more willing percentage wise, there's still lots of fun to be had with the Chinese ladies as well. I had heard that the same owner for Beach Massage owned Dolphin Massage but was never sure. Now I am. I saw Cynthia there which I have not seen in quite some time and she didn't remember me from Beach. I never got anywhere with her at Beach and that hasn't changed.
