They're friendly enough but there is no action to be had and I don't suspect the new place will be any different because it's the same owners.
I've for one had had it with these Chinese places. I do remember some Korean ladies in a house by San Marco area that was reliable. Maybe I'll head there this weekend. I sure do miss the Russian ladies that used to be in Jax Beach!

Now, this would require that we all be straight about the facts. This is one of those deals where you shouldn't BS us all and then say YMMV to cover yourself.
So to be clear, if I go to a Chimp and they walk out or massage my feet after I've freed Willy, and I have to finish the job myself after they give me some oil and paper, THATS NOT A HE!
These are the places I think we should be candid and descriptive about. Perhaps addresses would be overkill or maybe the system would automatically kick it out.

I agree about the BS about these places, up selling and just flat out trying to rip you off with Vagas or New York City prices. Also if it an individual on BP offering massage out of their house or a hotel room is not a massage parlor and should be posted in the BP or craiglist forum.

It's not that your $20 tip is too small. Her problem is that she starts out with too high a rate for her Gentleman's Massage. I cannot find the on-line link, but in this morning's Times-Union Shorelines section police report it discussed a visit to 3rd Street on 1 March. The therapist received a free ride downtown for offering extra handiwork. But based on continuing ads, it did not seem to affect business.If you look at JSO's intake sheet for the 17th there is a Chinese female arrested for the p word. The arresting agency is listed as Jax Beach Police dept.

They were just slow and offered to me. I have also experienced at you Spa at Baymeadows and Philips. I asked when I arrived as I noticed several attendants not busy. Think if you try when they first open or in middle of afternoon you will increase your chances. Trying at lunchtime or evening when they are busy will be unlikely to accommodate your request.

It's all about what the provider wants to get out of the situation. You're correct, she is going to end up with the same amount by charging a larger $$$ figure up front. However, it's going to make the customer feel used. By lowering the amount she charges, and continuing to provide excellent service, she is going to put the customer in a position where he will happily leave a larger tip. As many have reported, this place can be hit or miss. I'm one of the few who has not had a bad time there and that's because I ask for Tina. I called ahead yesterday to make sure she was working. Saw Dalina the other day, just because I enjoy variety and the thrill of the hunt. The entire visit was very pleasant and the massage was extremely effective. I find a bar of soap the best thing to get the massage oil off of the skin. The soft soap just doesn't cut it for removing oils.

This has been one of the reasons that I've avoided getting massages. Anything that leaves a scent, or oils that obviously don't wash off, has been a potential problem.You can always ask for a shower AFTER the massage too. Most shops will accommodate such a request.
