Was coming home Friday night headed S. on 34th. about 2-3 am. Came up to the light at 38th near the car dealers and and SPD and 2 other cars made a left heading South on 34th. Light changed and they were a couple blocks in front of me. As I passed Hess, there were 5 marked units and the officers standing around in the parking lot with vests, etc on. The cop and the two subsequent cars that were following pulled off at Kmart and all three stopped along the side. 3. If you're suspected of drunk driving (DWI) and refuse to take a blood, urine or breath test, your driver's license may be suspended.

If your rights are violated, don't try to deal with the situation at the scene. You can discuss the matter with an attorney afterwards, or file a complaint with the Internal Affairs or Civilian Complaint Board.

They are a legal business that holds a current license to operate. You have done nothing wrong by going there. Now if by chance you happen to get a few "extras" while you are there, Uncle LEO can't prove it in court unless he actually saw it. All they are trying to do is intimidate you.

In general, the courts have stated that a cop can't detain you at a traffic stop beyond a "reasonable amount of time" which is generally held up to be 20 minutes. At the 20 minute mark, start asking the cop "am I free to go or am I being legally detained for questioning". That will usually make them sh*t or get off the pot.

Or, just point out the number of SW that have walked by that you're missing out on because they're holding you up..... ;)

I also saw a silver unmarked driving around town tonight -- typical cruiser with no markings but the lights and the jail-bird cage were clearly visible.

Two SPPD cars sat ALL night in the parking lot of the auto parts warehouse near 1st Ave N & 34th St. Those two must have been sleeping.

Also, I may be crazy, but I could swear I saw a cop driving an Independent Taxi tonight... I've been told by some of the girls on the street that Independent works with PoPo, so based on that and what I think I saw, I will exercise a bit of caution around that Taxi service.

If I'm correct with my directions theres a pasture of a trailer park right there called Gator Trailer Park. Its across from Bill Jacksons. Spent a considerable amount of time both Saturday and Sunday prowling both Clearwater and Saint Pete. I was supposed to be looking for a car, but was easily distracted by the stroll.

NFH in Clearwater was totally dead both days. Clr/ Largo Road area had some WSW's near Sunoco and Inglewood Inn areas. Also MLK near Belleaire had some activity. GTB near the Cleveland merge (especially in the sidestreets) was also active.

Saint Pete had nothing on Haines nor Gateway Motel areas. 34th street from 35th ave to Central had limited action, but very little.

Overall a lot of driving for very little results, and I still have to buy that car!

The concern is your past and possibly continuing relationship with Josh.
