Wow, I've been retired from the hobby for a year or two now and had the urge to jump back in, to my shock things have changed. No backpage, no ter, and just no sites like before. You do bring up a good point in asking what is an acceptable risk. I know I among many other hobbyist have often paid for the room and left it in the hands of the provider. I know this may not be a smart thing to do but I don't know what I can be legally accountable for if that provider was arrested using my room for any illegal activities. I always try to delete text messages and request the provider does as well. I am interested to know what is considered an acceptable risk for both texts and the purchase of a room left in the providers control.

MC.Haven't used it in ages but guess I'll delete it now. Realistically any of these apps would probably give you up in a heartbeat if asked.
Safest bet, get a burner phone for $30. Use that. Trash it periodically.
At this point I just see one girl anyways so it's non-issue for me but always have to stay safe out there guys.

You have to define close to home here. Do you mean within a few miles or less than a 15 minute drive or do you mean your next door neighbor who you can sneak out and fuck from your back doorstep LOL. If you mean within close proximity then that is what I always do and for the most part all of us take part in. I will, and have, turn a provider down if I have to drive to far. Now if you mean literally right next to your house, then no. I probably wouldn't do that. That is like playing with fire at that point. All of us monger within our areas though.
