It would be soooooo much simpler if you would have just listed the name of this not-ref-friendly provider. I know I must be missing something here, so please help the boy...

Last night I got a call asking about a particular Memphis provider. This is the 3rd time in @ a month I have been asked about this particular lady. I'm not personally having issues because I quit using her as a ref months ago.
Guys are giving her as a ref and she goes absolutely ballistic, cusses the provider asking for a ref and then refuses to give the ref.
Now, I know for a fact this particular provider doesn't want to give ref's over the phone so that's part of it. I only give a few phone refs myself, so I get that.
Thing is, you guys think you are giving a great ref...and you are not. It's not your fault, it's not the fault of the provider you're trying to see but that's who's getting screwed over this not-ref-friendly provider.
Make sure your references are good. Make sure the providers you use as ref's are ref friendly. Make sure you know how she prefers to give ref's. If a provider's phone number isn't on her site or her ad, most likely she doesn't do phone refs. But it's your job to find out.
When you go through the screening ask your potential date to let you know if she has any issues getting replies.
You guys need to figure out who this is pretty quick so you can cut down on unnecessary bs during screening.The best way to get a reference is to have the hobbyist submit an OK request from a verification site from the provider he has seen if he plans on using her as a reference. That way the provider does not have to be contacted.
In my experience, if I have seen someone once or even twice, since I don't keep records, and don't take this as an insult, I don't remember you. If it has been a long time, people sometimes change.

BH was much closer than BC in this case. Not about a war with another provider. I'm trying to help clients get to see who they choose with the least amount of bs. Trying to keep good legit providers visiting Mphs. It's a win win all the way around.
Sort of standard screening across US is:
Verification site - p411, DC or RS2K. (Good move. EZ peezey)
OR
2 legit references
OR
personal verification (newbies, bad refs, old refs)
Say you are not a member of a verification site and you really don't want to give personal info; so you opt for 2 refs. You give 2 refs that are considered exceptional here in Mphs. One ref replies. The other doesn't and/or cusses the provider and refuses to give the ref. Either no reply or crazy reply, doesn't matter. You still don't have 2 refs. Some ladies don't use refs at all. Some ladies don't give refs at all. That is not an issue. What is an issue is when a client thinks he has a solid ref and he doesn't. Then screening gets difficult, wither the provider or the client gets pissy, the date doesn't happen, the lady doesn't tour here again. Because the client doesn't know that his ref is not good. Nobody (else) is/was willing to say "Bad ref dude. " Not you guys fault.
I am just as guilty of sweeping it under the carpet as anyone else. I actually thought it was more of a personal thing and just decided not to get involved and let it go.
All the "this is how to get/give refs" is nothing but a smoke screen to hide the fact that there is a local provider refusing to give ref's. By phone, by email, by verification site, in a train, on a plane. Whatever.
Again:
Make sure the ladies you use as references are good with you using them and you understand how they prefer to be contacted.
Make sure you have a 3rd (and maybe a 4th) ref lined up to use in case there are issues.
Ask your potential dates to let you know if they have any problems with your refs. If a pattern arises with one of your refs. You will then know who's good to use and who isn't.

You'll need to ask around among providers and make sure they know you are just starting out. There are a few the more than likely will take the chance if you are sincere and tell them. Once the session is over, you have now earned a solid reference.
My advice is that you tell the provider you will be using her as a future reference, and try to say or do something so the provider will remember you.

This poster may have annoyed some of the senior members with those same kind of pm's. I honestly don't know. But I fail to see anywhere in this post where he's asking anyone for anything. It appears to me that he is thanking Jackson for providing a place for this info to be reported and for the tips and valuable information that's available here for people new to this hobby. He's also thanking all the members that have made reports from the field and relayed them back to this forum for all of us to enjoy and learn from.
My point is that not all of the new members are Leo and most of them just * don't know any better yet. I saw this post in another post where someone was flaming the " newbies" for not exercizing proper etiquite in asking for provider info. This poster may have annoyed some of the senior members with those same kind of pm's. I honestly don't know. But I fail to see anywhere in this post where he's asking anyone for anything. It appears to me that he is thanking Jackson for providing a place for this info to be reported and for the tips and valuable information that's available here for people new to this hobby. He's also thanking all the members that have made reports from the field and relayed them back to this forum for all of us to enjoy and learn from.
My point is that not all of the new members are Leo and most of them just * don't know any better yet. By all means protect these ladies to the best of you ability and don't offer info until you see proof of the newbies commitment to this hobby, but be willing to give some advise where you can and rather thN flame these guys reply to thier pm and tell them that when they've been here awhile and made some reports you'll be more willing to share.
Before y'all flame me out I want everyone to know that although I've been an avid hobbyist for almost 20 years, when I joined this board I was completly new to this type mongering(truck drivers just pick out a well traveled location and park and wait for the girls to come to us) and I've learned tons from this

When you have a PM click on the name. It will bring up a profile and tell you when they joined, how many posts and click on the posts and read what they had to say over the years or months. It will tell you alot. Thats the first thing I do when I receive a PM from someone I don't know. It will tell you alot.

I received a pm last week from a new member(8posts no provider reports)about a BSW I had dated and later posted pics of. I gave him the same info that in the report I put up about her then. Hell I had to take care of one Monday, had 4 calling me yesterday, Went and taken care of one today. Its hard for you to be in a truck in Mobile and me needing help in the middle of the day. If this is some sort of "get back at ya" lesson then I have been schooled. EVERY appointment I have scheduled over the last three weeks has cancelled at the last minute. There was a report about my scheduling problems and now it seems to have turned into a game of cat and mouse. If this is some sort of "get back at ya" lesson then I have been schooled. EVERY appointment I have scheduled over the last three weeks has cancelled at the last minute. There was a report about my scheduling problems and now it seems to have turned into a game of cat and mouse.
