I give Hargow a week before he reports back. I already gave my requiem for ECB a few weeks ago, but find it hard to stay off the blvd permanently. Anyone else been cruising recently?I've gone out for a few short pass-throughs all the way from Texas st to La Mesa border and back a few times, and didn't even see any old BSW's.

This is really bizarre and sad. I rarely see any SW's in National city. I wonder if the SW's are coming out after midnight. The story indicated that the navy is considering a curfew from midnight to 7am I believe. The only upside is that there is signs of life. That stroll (Main st in Nasty City in front of the base) has been the lowest of the low for quite some time. I have been thru there at all hours, (even very late at night, after midnight) and see BSW's a lot, sometimes LSW's but haven't seen a decent WSW there for a long time. I am not into BSW's, and won't bother with LSW's since I can just pop over the border if I want some hot panocha (at a much better price, mind you)
I haven't noticed any really young BSW's there at all. This is still part of the propaganda put out by the media to justify the exorbitant waste of money spent on chasing SW's.
The last time I saw a decent WSW in Nasty-ass City was on Roosevelt walking at the corner near the JIB and Holiday Inn. This was about 2 years ago. That sighting is what keeps me going down to that rotten-ass town, but it has been a total waste of time, so I really wouldn't bother recommending it to anyone. I usually am pissed that I even went down to that hell-hole town, and just keep driving down to Tijuana.
If Nasty City had any intelligent people running it, they should create an environment to welcome SW's and mongers into the town. Then they would actually have a reason for people to want to go down there. It would be good for business, bring in more business, etc. What redeeming quality does it have today? Nothing.

SamHornilus has a good recommendation, plenty of good info in the InternationalSexGuide. Just FYI, you cannot think in terms of "recommended providers" like other mongering areas. Tijuana is like a buffet that changes often. Lots to choose from. Please note that the quantity and quality tend to decline over the next month, as many girls go back to their home towns over Christmas.
Your interests may vary from others, so it is hard to make a recommendation to anyone. The most tame area is Revolucion ave, with a bunch of strip bars. These cater generally to guys that are too timid to get laid, or tourists that don't know any better. The quality, value, and what you get changes often. I used to go into the strip bars to get warmed up, then go to the Zona Rosa for the real deal.
I generally pick out a cute street girl in the Zona for a pop, then go to Adelita Bar to drink a couple of brews & recharge and then go for a hottie there. Any attempts to cruise any of SD streets will likely be fruitless, unless your tastes run strictly dark choc and for that, see ECB around 50th. Long ago, at least up til 2 years ago, there used to be at least some action up and down ECB, esp on west of 70th, but no more. Outer towns like Oceanside used to have SW, but that's history now too, so don't bother making that trip. Check forums for Orange Co or LA, there's some action there, but IMO the zones there all suck. Only places in CA where finding SW is a sure thing are Fresno and Stockton, and possibly Modesto. Quality in these cities ain't the greatest (though a couple of girls I picked up in Stockton were literally gorgeous -- but that was 20 years ago! Those days are long, long gone.)
So the only options are Tijuana, never been there myself but you can read reviews and make your own judgment. And then also, BP for their escort and bodyrub and w seeking m ads, which are of course more expensive than street action but justifiably so. And there are tons of these ads. I saw someone yesterday off one of them, nice hotel room, great unrushed FS, cost me 1. 2 but worth it.

When out to a bar last night the Gaslamp district and I decided I would cruise ECB as a last ditch effort maybe try division and Main. No luck on ECBE between Texas and 50th St. So I decided to hit the five south towards division Main. Right off the freeway I saw a white streetwalker named Nicole. Not impressed letting thing in the world but nice and only cost me. 4. We cruised around a bit looking for a spot she wanted to go downtown which is fine because that was on my way home. We found the relatively safe spot she wanted to give me a CBJ. Get a Sentri pass and it's like 5 min. It's so worth it even if you only go a few times a year. You'll find yourself going more often because the dread of the wait time coming back is gone.

I can understand a felony or multiple misdemeanor.Of course any arrest will get you disqualified. That is what the system is all about. They will only take squeaky clean history for a reason. When I was in my Global Entry interview, there was a guy complaining to the TSA guy about his disqualification. All he did was had a bottle of booze in his luggage that wasn't on the customs form, was caught in an inspection, and this happened 25 years ago. He wasn't even arrested at that time, just warned. So anything on your record will keep you from getting it.

They leave used condoms on the street, or syringes. They're directly tied to use and propagation of hard drugs, especially heroin and crack. SW then becomes the main avenue for these addicts to kill themselves with monger donations. This isn't some bleeding heart hysterics, I'm speaking from what I've seen over many years. This is how it works on the streets, how it has always worked, how it works today, and how it will ever be. And that's why le in not just SD but all over the country have cracked down on SW.
Just so no one misunderstands, I'm not lecturing anyone from on high. I've picked up my share and then some off the street, did it in my car, etc. I just feel I know more now and I see things differently now, that's all. IMO, from my experiences from over 20 years ago and also from reading reports from active cities like Baltimore and Flint, nothing has changed. The SW dynamic in the USA is still all about giving $ to hardcore drug addicts and making their pimps and dealers a bit wealthier. Also, I don't feel right anymore about the other unavoidable impact that SW has on a neighborhood. And I don't like knowing that the $ I save getting it on the street is helping keep someone tied to drugs that ruin their lives.
I think going thru BP or the like for action is a much better solution all around.
And better not only for a community and the girls. Even the most successful street mongers report so many problems. Like mw_jrp (who is probably the king of usasg, see his thousands of posts and pickups in Dayton and Flint) who says he can't avoid ripoffs, neighbor hassles, le hassles, thefts of phones, and even towels from notel rooms, etc. SW, being addicts, are completely unpredictable. She may be charming and innocent one minute, a nympho the next, and threaten to pull a knife on you a minute later. It has happened to me, and more than once. Anyone who has street experience knows this kind of thing isn't all that rare! When you pick up from the street, you're picking up someone who's very desperate, and likely not a little bit crazy.
While not every experience I've had thru BP has been great, they've all been of way better quality than my average street pu. And since there are so many bpers offering 60 specials, I think you'd have to be a real cheapcharlie to cruise ecb to save a few bucks. Hell, last month (believe it or not, even I was a bit amazed) i got an hour of incall fs for a mere jackson.
Still, whatever floats your boat. I'm not telling anyone what to do (as I've done the street thing extensively) just giving my view: Streets suck, bp is better.
Anyway, the streets in SD are dead and will be dead forevermore. And we have bp.....so really, when you think about it, things kind of worked out for the best.

You have to admit the people that moved here from out of state have changed the overall balance away from "live and let live". I like your story about your decline into decadence, mine was a trip to Tijuana in the late 70's. Lots of big haired girls on ECB in the early 80's that I couldn't afford, though.
I don't totally agree with Jay's post. He is correct that in lots of cities, SW are a blight, because as of today, most SW activity in a lot of cities is driven by addiction or poverty. However, it hasn't always been like this in SD. As recently as 10 years ago, I would say at least half of the SW'er in SD were local girls, and almost all of them were substance free. There were tons of young girls that were simply doing it for extra spending money, easy money for a 18-20 year old girl. I had one absolutely beautiful regular that was generating cash to start a hairdresser shop, and she eventually made her goal. Another regular was going to school at SDSU, I would pick her up right at school and take her to the Navajo over lunch time.
One dynamic that has factored into the LE cleanup of far west ECB has been the attempt to "gentrify" North Park. Knocking down all those pawn shops to build those condos, etc. (Yeah, that Starbucks was a really good idea, now wasn't it, LOL) IMHO, the only successful bit of cleanup was the renewed Taco Bell, and more recently the renewed Jack in the Box. Yeah, that North Park area is hot! Chicken Pies for everyone!
As far as economic activity, how about all the mongers (like me) that patronized the ECB businesses because we were in the area? I used to spend a lot of money at places on that stretch of road, and don't anymore.

When I began doing this I'd think nothing of pu and car dates, even in daylight. But then came accumulated experience, and so I'd think about all the ways things could go bad (being watched by le, being watched by neighbors, being followed by whoever, going to a "hot" notel," dealing with a pimp, being "made" by my own neighbors if I brought her to my place, her being crazy, violent, filthy, a rob). I don't think we vets are alone in having all these risk factors going off in our heads when we see some chick on the stroll. A certain amount of risk is part of the excitement, but too much risk meant it stopped being fun.

I almost always did day pickups, which in my opinion were safer. Reason are, even though you are more visible you can see more of your surroundings in the daylight. Harder for cops or vice to hide on a side street in the daylight. You can see your target way sooner and watch longer in the mirror once you pass. In the dark, its way more risky. Even though there are more people out in the day time, thats a good thing, its harder to pick you out, you blend in better. Finding a spot was a little trickier. But a car parked on a dark empty road or area stands out, instead of blending in with other cars for example. I was also very careful about pickups, had some rules. NEVER honk! Get a sign that says I'm an idiot instead. Never compete with another monger, drive away, she'll either be back or find another one.
Rule 1 keep drivng and pass your mark, don't signal her either, if she's paying attention she'll see you look her way and will watch you to see if U-turn. NEVER ever burn a U-turn no matter the reason. Don't turn on the next block either. Lefts are better than rights so it would depend on side of the street. I usually don't pick up off the main drag. Unless I go a couple blocks, pull over, legally park and wait for her to walk by. Otherwise once she see's me turn she should be walking down the next side street. If you timed it you could hit her at a crosswalk. But I would never pick up if I was at an intersection with someone behind me. And on the pickup. Very simple,"Hey you need a ride". Her only answer is sure and GETS IN. If they try to say anything else without getting in its off. The smart ones know to GET IN. You know right then that they are not vice, vice will NEVER get in the car, ever. First thing is exchange names cause the cops will ask you. And no dealing for a few blocks. And don't turn for a while just drive straight. You can always back track. The LE check they always want to do doesn't serve a purpose for you, just her and its really a waste for her too. If vice picked her up its his word against hers that he pulled his johnson out. I almost never went to their location, be it a house or notel. To much going on, roomates, pimps other people see you enter and leave with your car. To much of a risk unless I had seen them before.
And when you negotiate, be specific. Cim, if you don't many will pull off when you blow and ruins the hole thing! I always told them before we started. The better job you do, the faster this will go. If you start stopping to ask me am I close and telling me to hurry up and all that shit, I tell them if they start that I'll kick them out of the car right there and take my money back. The more they distract the longer it takes. If they had half a brain they shut the fuck up and do the deed, its the fastest way to their goal! Thats the stuff I got tired of. Personally I have only picked up 1 SW in ECC. There used to be some SW's working by Main st and Broadway in Chula Vista years ago.Back in the day, ECB had the best talent (but higher priced talent) , ECC had the more skankola types (I like skankola, LOL but not worn skankola types; most in ECC fit this category) , and I never got to CV much because if I was going that way I would simply keep going to the border.
ECC was actually pretty good right before they enacted the "keep your car if caught policy". I picked up a number of cute young things there during this timeframe. Same for Oceanside.
Actually, I have run through ECC a few times in the last 6 months and have seen some talent there. Haven't partaken since they weren't my type.
I found that the prices were about the same in Socal The big difference was that ECB tended to have more out of town girls that try and charge high prices and only stay a day or two.
