It's nothing spectacular, but it's a Nikon L100. It looks like an SLR, but it's basically a fully automatic digital point n' shoot with a super zoom nikor lens (15x's). I like the photo quality during the day, but I wish it had a manual mode so I could adjust the settings for night shots.
I usually research electronics before I buy, but I just went off somebody's recommendation on this one since I really didn't have much cam knowledge - I'm learning. Hey, don't get me wrong, it's a great camera, and does a better than average job, but it has some limitations - can't expect too much from a $$.50 camera. I'll play with it for a bit, then maybe read up on some dslr's.

So in answering bmalibu's curiosity, it might actually be better to stick with the point and shoot because of it's high iso ability and short lens. A huge advantage is the digital zoom; a thing that my dslr doesn't have or I think any dslr has for that matter.

Yeah, when I set my cam on "sport continuous" mode, it automatically sets the ISO to 3200. Trust me though, I had to play around with the settings a lot before I discovered how to take the best low-light shots with minimal blurring. Post up a few of what you got anyway... the worst picture is better than no pic at all!

When your vehicle window is up the sensor picks up the distance of your glass and sets its focus on close up mode. This could be the reason why the girls outside your window at a distance is blurry. A moving vehicle and night time light just added a level of difficulty.

Yeah, male cops will do whatever they can to get a case, including touching. This is why the LE check is bogus. Ok, went out last night to finally partake during the hours of 12:00 to 4:00am. At first it seemed really slow compared to my first run on Thursday. God bless Daylight Standard Time! Thanks to moving to clocks back this morning, I finally got some sunlight in the 6:00 hour to take some decent photos. These were all taken on Harbor and 1st. Yeah, 'Fairwinds' gave me a crash course on editing and resizing. I really don't like to mess around with my pix too much as I like to capture the natural colors, but in some case (especially at night), they do need to be lightened, etc...
I heard of this one website where you can edit your pics from your browser. It's called picnik.com. Don't really know much about it since I use Photoshop but I've seen some really impressive stuff that was supposedly edited with that website. I think Adobe also has an online editing thing goin on now too. But even without editing, they're still pretty damn good pics!
As far as seeing the many dudes in one car on the track, I've seen that too and mostly it's probably the guys getting off work or leaving a club and they're just horny like the rest of us. But I don't think they know much or care much about the method by which to pick em up.

I opened Sunset up again last night/this morning, sorry to leave Harbor so dry, but I had to see how all of my girls would do in Hollywood, since I havent played it in so long. Tonight though we are going back out Vegas, but we will come back out here next month for a week or two. It's been fun, and I enjoyed our stay out here this time more than I have in a long time.
