Well, first time for everything but I sent out one text and never heard back from someone. Next thing I know I get a text being threatened by a "boss" and that I need to co-operate. I kept the text and did a screen shot and never replied. Well, just now I get text from another number from Carlos Montoya and three long rambling text messages and still didn't reply. Now keep in mind my one and only text to them was Hi. So, clear it wasn't someone real and a scam artist. Now I'm saving the text just in case I need to contact the cops but I don't want to do that. Any suggestions and I do have screen shots just in case this keeps up and I'm just thinking of blocking the numbers. Any suggestions or advise? Don't worry about it, it's as fake as the ad you responded to. I've never seen them keep trying very long but they might sell your number to another scammer who might send random texts.And tell them to go F_C_ themselves. That's what I do.

My more paranoid side says that it could be used by uncle to convince people they aren't dealing with uncle.

Since my phones are Android, I just use Google to keep everything in sync between them and my iPad and I don't have to deal with as much of the limitations with Apple's crap.
