Hello all,

I took Betty (the one Monger22 has written about) out for a test drive today. Took her to a short stay (are there any other type?) motel on Rt. 5/15 Berlin Tpke.

She definitely likes to talk, the whole ride there and back shes telling me everything about her personal life. Lives with her aunt/uncle on Park Ave, she is 27 yo, thin 98 lb Latina with blond curly hair. She dresses nice comparably to others who work street. Says she used to be fat, got divorced and lost a lot of weight due to it. You can tell, as she does have stretch marks on her belly and her small boobs SAG. Has 3 kids too she says. But she does have a cute face in my humble opinion, and she is an amateur, which I think makes it more enjoyable and more GFE like, especially with the talking! :). She tells me she does not want to do this much longer, she's afraid of LE and crazy guys. She got left at a motel once by a guy smoking crack.

Performance was average. Got FS and BBBJTCIM for $45, actually gave her $5 when i met her to pick her up, she claimed she needed it to give to her guy friend who was following her, she owed him. Well, of course, my instincts told me it was a scam but she left her purse in car and came back 2 mins later and off we went. My thought was, well, if she's going to scam me I'm sure it would be for more than $5 bucks, but still later I found out that guy friend was actually her brother.

Her number is home number, so aunt/uncle may answer. They do know what she does she says but what can they do shes 27 yo. I told her she should get a cell, says she's thinking about getting one when she gets her tax return.

Monger...Yeah, I didn't mean to come down so hard. I've been pent up pretty bad at work. Didn't realize that my post was so heated.

Mighty summed up pretty well my boiled down thoughts.

From one man to another, I'm sorry for snapping at you and I tore down the post.

I did take it personal when really, it wasn't and you are free to think as you wish. Believe me, I am itching to talk about it all, yet, for numerous reasons...I resist.

It may or may not have been stated that the posts here were used. Truth is, they were, including comments from not a few of us frequent posters over the years. I know this from numerous first hand sources now.

Personally, it angers me that they would do this, yet...what can done about it.

Again...please accept my apology, all.

I never thought I'd see the day (at least hoped not anyway) where I'd be reading about this. What a sad, sad day. I had many, many sessions there over the past 10 years (I'm 32 now). Rebecca, Beth (some of the chicks from years past) will never escape my memory. Even more recently with some Indian-looking chick who's name escapes me, she had 2 kids though, but was young, 26 maybe. With all the real crime going on in this city, and state, and country for that matter, it's such a shame this is what they choose to focus on.

Supposed to meet Melissa from New Britain at 9 at her friends apartment in Hartford west end.Auto accident in front of apt had several LE there with lights on so I kept going. Called her friends number but it was busy. Went to Farmington, Ashley, Albany for an hour an saw 0 SW. Went home bummed out. Phone rings at 1145 an its Mellisalooking for some company. Over I go to pick her up. Again she is one of my all time top 10, maybe 5, SW. We have become friends over the years. That sometimes happens but she is still a version of a SW but you wont find her on the street.A body to kill for. Classic Latina. Been away for 2 years.She is looking for an apartment an if any of you guys have one she is willing to trade for rent.

I want to start off by saying that I have NO inside information on Alpha, all my comments here are from reading the Hartford Courant and then thinking about Alpha while I was shoveling my driveway this morning.

There has got to be more to the Alpha story than what is written in the Courant's "front page, above the fold" article. The amount of money that was supposedly money-laundered in Swiss bank accounts is way too high to have been made totally from the house fee charged at the Alpha.

Do the math: an average 30 paying customers per day @ an average $50 house fee per customer x 300 days open = $450,000 gross revenue per year. Subtract the unavoidable costs of operation - rent, telephone, credit card account processing expenses, heat, electricity, water, laundry expenses, other cleaning expenses, some salary for the non-escort employees, some routine maintenance, plus pay-offs to the cops, even the cost of the free soda in small paper cups that the customers always received, and you end up with a healthy profit for the owner Gail, but nowhere near enough to have several million dollars in a Swiss bank account.

Now, I have no inside info as to pay-offs to the cops, but something like that had to be going on, since Alpha stayed open long after all of the other MPs in Hartford closed years ago.

I chuckled at the some of the comments about residents complaining about Alpha spoiling the neighborhood. Huh? That neighborhood is not exactly the neighborhood where the Governor's mansion is - a biker bar across the street, something clearly suspicious in the house next door to the Alpha building, lots of drug dealers and other scuzzballs in the area. Alpha's been closed for over three months but the neighborhood doesn't look any better now than it did last year!

And Alpha didn't generate that much traffic, no more than any other business that could have been there. In fact, if it had been a regular health club, there would have been lots more traffic into the late hours - just drive by the Bally's club on New Britain Avenue in West Hartford at 10:30 p.m. any evening and the parking lot will be more than half-filled.

Prediction - this isn't the last article that we'll be reading about Alpha in the Courant.

I picked up Betty 2 weeks ago and she gave a good performance.I called her on the phone and set up a time to meet and she was there when I got into town. She is a young hsw and likes to f---. she has very little tit but makes up for it in the ass dept. I would rate her a 6-7-7 and a good find for what I have seen in the area lately.

A 63-year-old Newington woman has pleaded guilty to charges that she made millions of dollars over the last 25 years as the "madam" of a Hartford brothel that billed itself as a health and fitness center.

In a hearing today at U.S. District Court in Hartford, Gail Gaer admitted that, as an owner of the Alpha Leisure & Health Club Inc. on Franklin Avenue, she profited from a large-scale prostutition operation that employed dozens of prostitutes and numbered more than 4,600 "customers," according to federal prosecutors.

The lengthy investigation into the club came after years of complaints from residents in the city's South End, where the club is located next to a deli on one of Hartford's most famous thoroughfares. Residents repeatedly said they suspected prostitution was taking place at the club after seeing men and women enter the building at all hours, even when the club appeared closed.

Kevin J. O'Connor, the U.S. attorney for Connecticut, said the crackdown was the result of intensive cooperation between federal law enforcement and Hartford police, as well as the public.

"This was a significant and sophisticated prostitution operation that existed for too long," he said.

BTW Spearsman 450k a year for 25 years is a lot of money

Yes, 450K a year would add up to a lot of money if one could keep all of it.

But my point was that many of the expenses of running Alpha are unavoidable expenses that must be paid for in cash. It is possible that soda and paper cups were supplied to Alpha free of charge by a horny Coca-Cola truck driver in return for an "oral greeting" but that won't work with CL&P, the MDC, SNET, etc.

And after you deduct all of the unavoidable costs of doing business, more than half of the supposed 450 K is gone, leaving a healthy amount to pay for the owner's daily living expenses (house, car, food, clothing, etc.) but most likely not enough to add up to several million dollars in a Swiss bank account.

So there has to be more to the story than what we were told this morning. But this is pure speculation on my part, nothing more.

I understand what you're saying, you may be right about there being more to it, but the article indicates this lady was running this business for 25 years.

If your estimates are accurate, $450,000 per year, for 25 years equals $11.25 million. Even if her NET profit was only half of this (I would estimate it would be more like 60 - 70%), that's more than $5.5 million to invest. Remember, this is her principal investment, spread over a 25 year period. Even at a very conservative estimate of a 5% return and monthly investments, she could have netted over $11.25 million, and with a more likely return of 10%, we're looking at almost $25 million.

Thats not true, I run a restaurant and last year we had a sale of $900,000. How much did I get to keep? Around 300k after all the expenses. So you keep a lot less then half in a legal business. But if you need to pay off the cops and stuff you will keep even less.

Mighty: Your annual gross is flawed. Just look at Thursday, Friday,
and Saturday nites alone. Were talking 10 rooms here. How many
of these nites has there been "waiting for room" only!

Days, almost always by apointment. How many times did you see
only 1 or 2 girls in the longue, out of 10 on schedule.

I'd take you figure and triple it, easily.

Net profit margin is very industry dependent. I am a small business owner, and my net margin is a bit over 68%. Her overhead would not have approached that of a typical restaurant operation. In addition, I’m not knowledgeable as to how much additional income she may have received from any cut of the tips she may have required from the girls.

By the way, your 33% net profit margin is quite good for the restaurant business.

Short stay in Hartford: just past Hooters on the Berlin Turnpike there is one called High Ridge. $35 for 2 hours. Not bad. You need to show id so do not try signing Mickey Mouse on registration card. I have also used the USA which is on that same side by Hoffmans. Very nice for a short stay. Don't recall what I paid. Howard Johnson on Silas Deane does short stay also, but does not advertise that.

She was making good money, but I think she got greedy. From all accounts, some hands didn't get paid and she flaunted them. They decided to up the antey on her, busting her balls as usual. Unlike other times however, someone bit off more than they can chew. Didn't expect the feds to get so doggedly involved.

If you notice, the big tag was due to credit cards. Funny isn't it? Yet what is amazing is how they made the connect via receipts. Did she really keep receipts and customer signed them? Can't be.

We ourselves had a big discussion about credit cards and and providers. The number ONE method used to shut these places down has been through credit cards. It has far from shut the industry down, yet its clear now and forever more...don't use'em....ever.

Tax dollars down a hole yet again of course..yet, who will have the balls to take up the niche left by the A? There is nothing besides SW and crack addicts in Central Mass, Central CT, Eastern CT, or South Eastern Ct. She raked in cause her competition was gone, she had great safe, consistent locale that was crime free and she had backing.

In my mind, I have to wonder what those thousands and thousands of hard working, money making clients have gone to? All walks of life that were gainfully employed or had means to enjoy a treat. Are they at the Waterbury AMPs? Bridgeport AMPs? Private escorts viz Advocate? Bangng there wive's best friends?

Also...she plead guilty. That in of itself is curious. Plea bargain to get others?

I think you hit it again Stoner, The same thing happened to Brandy (Of Tiki Gardens in Norwich) 20 years ago.
Once the Feds get you for tax evasion, A plea bargain could be your only hope that you won't spend the next thirty years in the can.

If she only does five years, when she's out she will still have her coffee cans filled with cash to live on.

I was recently told the LE in R.I. are aware what goes on in the AMP'S. They would rather let that go on, then see us getting it in some parking lot for all the world to witness.

I would go a little further down the Pike and use the Grantmoor.

The same short stay price ( $ 35 ) as the others mentioned, but with a much cleaner and safer atmosphere. Also, discreet parking in back.

But more important is EDITORIAL PAGE article calling for arrest of the 4600 patrons who LE have names an addresses for . Any not past the 10 year statute of limitations they want arrested. Plus they call for investigation of HTFD PD as to why they didnt close it down.Looks like Courant intends to make 4600 names public an see if there are any well know people on the list. Read the Editorial. Makes for chilling reading.

This morning's article about Alpha was buried on Page B9 of the Connecticut section, for those of you looking for it. Headline reads "Crackdown on Brothel; Manager Pleads Guilty." The story further proves Stoner's point about credit cards.

Looks like I may have underestimated the amount of money available for the owner to stash into a Swiss bank account, so thanks to everyone for the lively discussion over the last week. Even if the owner had only hidden $100,000 a year (after spa expenses and her own requirements) of the presumed $450K - $500K gross revenue, over a 25-year period that amount would have grown tremendously if the interest earned was reinvested.

Something that intrigued me about today's story was that the manager, Josephine Ramondetta, "admitted that she made about $177,000 in the six years that she managed the club." Guys, that's less than $30,000 a year for six years, a lot less than the owner or the working girls made, and about the same salary as a clerk in an office in downtown Hartford. Makes me wonder if she cooperated in the investigation in return for a reduced sentence? Hmmmmm.

Yes, I'm curious about the list of 4,600 customers. Glad I'm not on it, since I've never been to Alpha. All of my posts here on WSG are pure fiction.

HARTFORD -- U.S. Attorney Kevin J. O'Connor should consider the culpability of the 4,600 clients who over 25 years patronized a Franklin Avenue brothel known as the Alpha Leisure & Health Club until federal authorities recently shut it down.

The names on the list are not directly relevant to Mr. O'Connor's case against the brothel's operators, who have been indicted on charges of using interstate wires to make millions of dollars in credit card transactions for prostitution.

The list, if the clients' names and their patronage of the brothel can be verified, may hold clues to how the business stayed open. Running a busy house of prostitution on one of Hartford's main streets for 25 years would be difficult without law enforcement authorities or public officials knowing or hearing of its operation.

Mr. O'Connor's office has so far secured a plea deal from the club's madam, Gail Gaer of Newington, and its manager, Josephine Ramondetta, for conspiracy. Ms. Gaer faces up to 25 years in prison and $750,000 in fines and Ms. Ramondetta faces five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. In Ms. Gaer's plea agreement, she admitted pocketing more than $5.4 million while she ran the club and keeping huge sums of the money in Swiss bank accounts.

But Mr. O'Connor should weigh the possibility of going after those whose patronage enabled the brothel to thrive. Perhaps more recent entries and any records of payment could conclusively tie patrons to the brothel and lead to charges still within any statute of limitations.

Although the list is sealed to public view by law until the case is closed, judicious use of the information, along with court permission to share it with the Hartford Police Department if warranted, could bring patrons of the brothel to justice and reveal potential reasons that city law enforcement authorities failed to close it sooner.

Ordinary Swiss bank accounts pay negligible interest (and if you're a foreigner the bank takes back 1/3 of that). "Secret" accounts pay no interest, and have fees too. The Swiss banks know perfectly well that the main reason foreigners have accounts there is to evade taxes at home, or otherwise hide loot, so they don't have to pay them interest--and they don't.

If she was just using the Swiss bank accounts to launder the money temporarily somehow, then reinvesting it, sure she could have built up her nest egg. But putting the money into the bank and leaving it there wouldn't have done much for her balance except keep it out of sight of the Feds.

WTIC 530 news Tues 3/30 Hartford Police have begun arresting patrons of A today. First 5 guys arrested this afternoon. Arrests could reach the hundreds.HTFD Police working in conjunction with the Feds the report said. State arrests have a 1 year statute of limitations, Federal 10 years. Im sure the Courant will have all the details tomorrow including all the guys names an addresses. I guess they had more than first name last initial in their records. Stoner was 100 % correct in his advice an wisdom. If you are gonna play dont use your credit card. Use cash.

According to fox 61, they went by credit card receipts. Also the men were at the club when they raided it in October. They also arrested annother manager and the other owner. The manager was Becky and the other owner was Angela.

Brothel Customers May Face Charges

There could be a lot of nervous johns out there, now that law enforcement officials say that hundreds of former customers at a closed Hartford brothel could face charges as part of an investigation into one of the most lucrative prostitution operations ever seen in the city.

Mark R. Pawlina, the acting Hartford police chief, said Tuesday that five men have been arrested on charges of paying to have sex with prostitutes at the Alpha Leisure & Health Club on Franklin Avenue in Hartford.

Federal officials announced that two people were indicted on charges of profiting from the club's operations. Three others pleaded guilty to similar charges earlier this month.

The five men accused of patronizing prostitutes were identified by Hartford police as [names edited]. They were the first alleged customers of the Alpha Club to be arrested. Officials said they were inside the establishment when police conducted a series of raids there.

The raids also yielded lists and other paperwork containing the identities of more than 4,600 customers who patronized the club over the quarter-century it operated until it was shut down for good late last year.

It's doubtful that police will seek arrest warrants for every customer listed, but officials said hundreds of people will be looked at as possible suspects.

"We anticipate many more arrests - there could be potentially thousands of customers eligible for charges," Pawlina said, adding that women who worked at the club as prostitutes are expected to be charged in the weeks ahead.

Kevin O'Connor, the U.S. attorney for Connecticut who has helped oversee the investigation, said the number of arrests probably will be limited for a number of reasons, including the statute of limitations.

Since patronizing a prostitute is a misdemeanor in Connecticut, the statute of limitations gives police only a year from the date of the offense to make an arrest. Anyone who paid to have sex at the Alpha Club more than a year ago will not be eligible for charges.

O'Connor said the fact that someone's name may be on the list or other documents would also probably not be sufficient to warrant charges.

"We don't want people to think we'll be rounding up thousands of johns," he said. "It's not that easy. But if we find people who we can build a case against, we will do it."

The club, which for years drew the wrath of neighbors in the city's south end, brought in millions of dollars in profits for its handful of owners and managers.

Pawlina said city police frequently carried out undercover investigations and raids to shut the club down over the years. But the small-scale prostitution arrests they made were not enough to close its doors permanently, he said.

It wasn't until city police got an idea of how profitable the club was that federal investigators were called in to track the money and build cases against the club ownership, he said.

Working with investigators from the FBI and the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, detectives with the department's vice squad carried out undercover sting operations in which detectives posed as prostitutes and johns, O'Connor said.

"We realize that in an operation as large as this, it takes two to tango, and if it wasn't for the customers coming to patronize the prostitutes, this business wouldn't have been able to thrive like it did," he said.

This month, O'Connor's office accepted guilty pleas from three people in federal court who admitted profiting from the brothel's proceeds, in some cases reaping millions of dollars in credit card charges from johns. The owners then transferred the money to bank accounts in Switzerland, and mailed bulk payments back to the U.S., officials said.

Besides the three who have pleaded guilty - Gail Gaer, 63; Josephine Ramondetta, 48; and Reed Jaffe, whose age was not provided by officials - O'Connor said, two more people were indicted this week in connection with running the club.

He said Tuesday that a grand jury has also handed up a 38-count indictment against Angela Moutsatsos, 49, of West Hartford, who was identified as one of the club's principal owners, and Rebecca M. Arrowood, 32, of Florida, who was identified as a longtime club manager.

The indictments accuse Moutsatsos and Arrowood of profiting from the club's revenues, which amounted to more than $5 million during a five-year period from 1997 to 2002.

Unless these "5 guys" freely admitted to being johns OR there is videotape of these gentlemen having a sexual act and exchanging money with the women, it doesn't really seem to make sense. Am I missing something? I apologize for any ignorance, but it simply doesn't add up for me.

Some of the local TV stations have the video of their broadcast stories available on their websites. The reporters are saying that those arrested for prostitution (the johns) were the patrons of the Alpha at the time of the raid. They most likely were caught with their pant's down, literally. For anyone else not caught in the act, anything other than a legal massage would be hard to prove.

Alpfa article in todays Courant. In past couple weeks 3 employees have pled guilty to Federal charges. Awaiting sentencing. Appears they are cooperating with Feds. Yesterday a Federal grand jury indited 2 other former employees on 38 counts. Names are in paper. More arrests to come. Hartford PD arrested 5 johns. Chief said hundreds could be arrested. Prostitutes who worked there will be arrested also. Good news is they are only going back one year.Read an interperate article for yourself.Apprears they are NOT going after all 4600 credit card customers.More arrests though are sure to happen in the future. This is my 400th post, and unfortunately it has to be about the latest news on Alpha!

The article in today's Courant is located above the fold on page B3 of the Connecticut section and is entitled "Brothel Clients Face Charges" and listed the names of 5 local gentlemen (who I certainly will not name here) who were arrested. I hope that none of them are contributors to this board - I feel as if all of you are friends-of-a-sort and I'd hate to hear that any of you were arrested.

Interestingly, the five were arrested not because their names were on the list of 4,600, but because "officials said they were inside the establishment when police conducted a series of raids."

I am worried a bit but not that much, because:

* The fact that the guys were in Alpha at the time of the raids I consider to be significant, since it is difficult to arrest someone after-the-fact for paying for sex unless there's real evidence (I'm sure that both the guy and girl would deny any illegal acts of a sexual nature).

* Alpha's list supposedly had only first names plus a last initial. So unless someone paid by credit card, that person is not likely to be arrested since there are numerous people who could fit any particular listing, such as "John R."

* Even the credit card receipts may have limited value, again because it's hard to prove that something illegal occurred after the fact.

* As the article said "the statute of limitations gives police only a year from the date of the offense to make an arrest. Anyone who paid to have sex at the Alpha Club more than a year ago will not be eligible for charges." Since the Alpha's been closed for over 3 months, this reduces the time period to about 8 1/2 months.

* I'm not sure if the Federal statue of limitations of 10 years is significant, since the Feds are interested in the money laundering, not any supposed prostitution (which is a misdemeanor, not a felony).

* I'm curious if what I am about to describe has ever happened to any of you. I can think of several occasions in the early 1990s (more than a year ago!) when I stopped by Alpha, checked in at the front desk but did not pay any house fee, went inside to enjoy my free soda, chit-chat with the ladies, maybe play some pool, then decided that I didn't want to spend more time with any of the ladies, so I left and went home. Or, I may have learned that the waiting time to wait for a particular lady would be up to an hour or more, so I decided not to wait but to come back at another time. I certainly did not do anything remotely illegal, yet my name would be listed as one of the visitors that evening. Hmmm....

Finally, I loved the post by VilunyaChert, which also reminded me of a comment I made a few weeks ago - I don't see that neighborhood as being any better now than when the Alpha was open and operating. Maybe it's time to bring back the jazzy cars and sharply-dressed men? (and maybe the NY Times journalist is a ZZ Top fan?)

What surprises me, is the amount of effort that went into busting what is, a small criminal enterprise. My guess is that its part of a bigger deal. Even more surprising is that similar places aren;t closing up shop and flying away in the face of this. Keep in mind that new laws allow all sorts of snooping to occur.

If the employees are cooperating, as the article says, that suggests that they have turned over the keys to the book-keeping system. So, together with a little help from Visa etc, LE can piece together who was there and how often - going back years! That probably means license plate numbers, and other personal info guys didnt know may have been collected. I'm sure LE isnt going to clog up the court system by arresting 100s of guys who spent $100 there, they're looking for something bigger -maybe the regulars, maybe it was a front for something truly nefarious.

My guess is that they can prove this was a brothel and the guys who are defendants will have to be mighty clever to explain how a brothel got his signature on a credit card slip, along with other info on certain dates. Judges aren't stupid. Probably lots of guys will plea bargain out on some minor charge and end up in divorce court.

This may not be pretty. And if you've been there in the last year, I would, at a minimum, make some calls to criminal defense lawyers to start figuring out what you're gonna do, if you get a summons or a call.

Tonights Journal Inquirer had their first story about Alpha. It basicly said the same thing as the Courants story this morning. The part that gets me, is the Chief of the Hartford PD saying " This isn't just about the prostitutes, It's also about the johns who created the demand, and we want to hold everyone involved responsible." "This is just the start of many more arrests." It sounds like this guy is running for office!

Mark Pawlina is the interim acting chief of the HPD. In a sense he is running for office, to convince the mayor that he should be given the job on a permanent basis. The questions about the federal statute of limitations (10years) lead to another question, is prostitution a federal offence in the first place? If so, how are the brothels in Nevada considered legal? I believe the ones that have been closed or siezed by the federal government were done so for tax/money laundering reasons, not prostitution per se. If only the owners of Alpha had done some renovation work for Gov. Rowland they could still be in business.

Regarding the Feds and Alpha methinks that if someone crossed a state line to go the the Alpha for sex then that could trigger a federal statute. Of course they'd have to prove that in federal court with higher standards of evidence and most likely it would be difficult to pin you down. I wonder though if the feds could legally impound the vehicle you went there in under RICO? If they had the license number then that could be tricky for you since you'd have to prove the vehicle was innocent in order to get it back. I dont know how many of the posters posting messages with legal opinion are actually lawyers, but I am. Let me clarify a couple if things.

There may indeed be serious and heavy harassment by LE of folks who are listed in the ALPHAs inventory of credit card records. However, unless the monger being quesitoned is unbeleivably dumb, no charges will stick and it is highly unlikely any will be filed.

Lets assume the worst case scenario - LE has 26 credit card receipts from a Mr. John D Luvdozer residing at 15 mockingbird lane. All of the receipts are form the last year so there are no statute of limitations problems. Lets aslo assume that they find 3 girls who are willing to testify that they serviced Mr. Luvdozer on 20 of those 25 occasions and that we exchanged money for sex. LE offers the girls plea bargains to get testimony against me.

This would be about as bad as it could get and this is NOT enough to sustain charges beyond a preliminary hearing. The case is so bad that it would never be filed unless the cops were trying to pressure me with public humiliation on this issue to get me to testify about some other non-related crime. Since I am not married and do not live in Hartford i could care less.

The reason that this is not enough to charge Mr Luvdozer is because the girls are his co-conspiritors and their testimony must be corroborated by some physical evidence or testimony from someone else not involved in the crime. Testimony from other Alpha employees wont help because they are all co-conspiritors according to the LE theory. credit card receipt only proves that I paid for SOMETHING. If I claim that I paid for a massage, no one can prove differently.

I could have gone to Alpha every single day and paid by credit card - I cannot be convicted of any crime. Many posters have noted the fact that the mongers who were arrested were present during the sting. Unless the cops actually caught them midstroke, it will be quite difficult to secure a conviction. If the cops try to charge Mr Luvdozer under an ordinance about patronizing a house of prostitution, all he has to say is that it wasnt a brothel when he was there. LE has the burden of proving it was.

This leads to a second issue which I have discussed in several posts. People often ask, "can i be arrested for that?" My answer is usually '" you can be arrested for ANYthing if the cops have a hard on for you" It sounds like they will start hassling people whose names appear on these credit card receipts. It is theoretically possible that they might try arresting someone to shake some testimony loose. However, as long as he keeps his mouth shut and lets his lawyer work, charges will be dismissed quickly because nothing can sustain them.

Its like being pulled over with a SW in your car before you have done anything. Technically, the cop has no business busting either one of you because he has witnessed no crime. However, cops often will bust someone based on evidence that should not be sufficient to warrent charges. Particularly in the arena of prostitution, the count on the guy's strong desire to keep his activities secret. Guys who are that frightened of being arrested often talk too much and end up giving evidence against themselves - then you are screwed.

Be polite and be quiet.

If anyone reading this board is harrased by LE because of records at Alpha, just deny deny deny. Cops WILL lie to you and tell you that they have evidence that they dont really have and that they are going to file charges that they arent really going to file. Just say " i committed no crimes and I witnessed no crimes" If they keep pushing tell them that becaise of their aggressive posture, you feel more comfortable talking to a lawyer before answering anymore questions. After that, dont say a damn thing.

As a fellow lawyer, I must respectfully disagree with Luvdozer's post. The girls would not be a customer's co-conspirators, b/c they and the customer would have committed entirely separate crimes: the girls would have committed prostitution, a class A misdemeanor (Connecticut General Stats. 53a-82), while the customer would have patronized a prostitute (Connecticut General Stats. 53a-83). In order for someone to be your "co-conspirator" the two (or more) of you have to have conspired to commit the same crime -- e.g., two people plan a bank robbery. In the bank robbery scenario, one could not be convicted of robbery solely on the testimony of the person with whom you planned the robbery.

So while it is true that one cannot be convicted solely based on the testimony of a co-conspirator, that does not apply to the Alpha scenario -- one could, in theory at least, be convicted based solely on the testimony of one of the girls.

In commenting on the investigation, HPD Vice Squad Supervisor Sergeant Franco Sanzo stated, "The investigation of the Alpha Club is ongoing. The public can expect to see more arrest warrant issued as we pursue all leads in the investigation."

In today's Hartford Courant (Thursday, April 15th), on Page 2 of the Connecticut section, there was a fairly small article announcing 3 more arrests in connection with Alpha.

All 3 individuals in questions lived in Massachusetts. Two were females who were charged with prostitution, while the 3rd person was a 52-year-old guy from Worcester, charged with patronizing a prostitute.

No names, but I did notice that both young ladies had unusual first names that sounded as if the names were from West Africa. The article also hinted that the investigation into Alpha is still continuing.

I agree it is a scary thought. Looks like Feds letting HTFD PD proceed first to make all their arrests since they have the 1 year statute of limitations to deal with an the Feds have a 10 year statute of limitations.
Seems like Sgt Sanzo might better use his time solving all those unsolved murders an take down some of those drug dealers. How bout arresting some of those corrupt cops too.

Day 1 in Hartford

Got in late. I called a provider who advertises in the Hartford Advocate. "Tiny Teen Babe, 5'2", 100, Blonde/Brown, Absolutely Gorgeous". She came to my Hotel promptly. Her appearance was as advertised. That is the best I can say about her. She was in a big hurry because she had to go to the Groton area to take her mom and sister out to get tattoos (swear to God!). Day 2 in Hartford

I hit the streets Misting rain with occasional showers.

Cruised Dutch Point and saw a low but steady flow of SWs around the mini-mart at Wethersfield and Willys. The short streets between Willys and Stonington had a few girls out. Took a few trips up and down Park with no sitings.

Went over to the Farmington / Niles area and picked up a Puerto Rican SW on Niles that I did not click with. Gave her a ride over to Farmington and Sisson and let her out.

Checked out Sgt., Collins, Ashley, Huntingdon, Garden, Walnut, Edwards, Chestnut area and saw a few BSW and HSW but no real gems.

Day 3 in Hartford

Drove over to Waterbury to the Hong Kong Studio. 3 words for it, Un-freaking-believable.

It was a hellish ride through a severe rain storm over bad construction congested roadway. Very mcuh worth the travails of access, however. Got there about 7:30PM. One other car in the lot. Mamasan introduced me to Yashika and asked what I thought. Thought she looked fine so off we went.

Perfect session. Warm reception in private room while stripping for table shower. Great table shower followed by 10 minutes in the sauna...just right, not too long not too short. Back to the room for a killer massage and lots of foreplay. Yashika blended the massage into more advanced play with superb timing. His attendant was washing down the table massage area while he cooked. She was wearing a green type of bikini outfit and was not very attractive at all. I would not have picked her from a lineup. Reminded me that not very HK girl is a stunner.

Day 4 in Hartford

Hit the strip clubs. Went to the Gold Club on the Route 91 service road just north of downtown. Formula club like a thousand others across the country. Spent about 30 minutes there and split, nothing of interest to report.

Went to Venus in East Hartford. One rather small room with a bar spanning one wall, a couple of pool tables, a stage plopped against the wall opposite the bar and a few tables around the stage Very sleazy place with two dancers, one white and one black, that were lethargic on stage and content to sit at the end of the bar when not on stage. The clientele was mixed like the bar scene from Star wars. All ages, all races, a few real characters. Outward appearance would suggest that the crowd was pretty rough, and well they might be, but I was treated cordially and felt comfortable there. Did not get any laps although I did talk to the dancers and despite their languid performance on stage, they were fun to BS with while off stage. Did not attempt any takeouts.

Kahoots had several dancers, some of whom were pretty nice. The stage is actually made up of moveable tables placed around a rectangular patch of floor space in the middle of the "dining" area. I spent some time with one specific dancer who provided a few decent but not partiularily nasty laps. Tried to line up a date after closing but she was not game. She did give me a number for a friend who used to dance at Kahoots until her boyfriend made her quit. Missed the logic on how the boyfriend resented her dancing but condoned her escort work. Called the number from my car and lined up a visit at my hotel from Mindy. She met me there about an hour later. Short blonde hair. Early thirties. Nice bod with good sized bolt-ons and a tight tummy. Said she lives in Windsor Locks. Over priced but did provide good service.

Long day of work into the early evening. I wanted to go back to Waterbury but I did not relish the drive there and back. Called Brenda who I met earlier in the week and had her come over for a long date. She was very accommodating and again provided good service.

All in all a good trip. I did not make it to Bridgeport but I will hit it on my next trip. I intend to fly into Newark and drive up to Hartford next time to dally along the way. Due to schedule change I flew in and out of Bradley this trip.

If I can help with any supplemental details, just PM. I did spend a total of about 5 hours driving the strolls I mentioned and a few others but did not report all of my sightings, too much trivia to relate.

And so ended day 5 and my trip to Hartford.

Went for a drive today thru the Hartford strolls. Not too many ladies out and about despite the great weather -- I was surprised. I must have driven around for about 3 hours; visited DP Wethersfield Ave, Ashley/Garden, and Park.

When I'd finally given up and was about to head out of town, I spotted a young looking hispanic girl walking alone... I got a half -assed glance from her, and I looped around the block to see what's up. We managed to meet again at Wethersfield and one of the side streets, and I asked her if I could give her a ride. She said yes, hopped in and off we drove...

She said "I'm headed back up that way, and motioned in the direction she was originally walking, and I asked where she was gong. "Up to the bus stop to get over to Sigourney St. to meet my sister" she said, and then asked if I could take her there. I replied that I wondered if she might be interested in finding a nice little quiet spot along the way, and she she didn't know - that she was nervous I was a cop. I told her I wasn't, and asked how I could prove it, but she just let it drop... Said her name was Brenda, and that she was nervous that I was a cop because she just got out of jail 2 days ago. I think she really was nervous -- as we were driving around she asked if she could get something in the store, and could I give her .15. I told her I would take her to the store afterwards, and she reluctantly agreed. I hate when they don't come back out of the store...

We did find a nice little spot, and did CFS for .4. The only downside was that she was in a hurry to get things done, she didn't get into the whole event very much, and she didn't have much of a personality -- not a bad personality, just kinda mopey and droopy, if you know what I mean.

I also forage alone. There are exceptions but they are exceedingly rare.

I am an ex-marine who grew up in a harsh urban setting. I am now a long way removed from those experiences but I retain an innate sense of threat level. The Venus is no problem if you conduct yourself appropriately. If you walk in their like a victim or a hard ass I suspect you may find trouble. That is true of a large number of the places I visit. I just do not like the glitzy clubs. Give me a sleazy neighborhood bar anytime for either conversation or sport.

I am sure my professional colleagues would recoil in horror to discover some of the places I go but then again several days by myself on a wilderness river in a canoe is also my idea of a good time. My friends think that is crazy too.

Had fun Sunday at Venus. I'll do a quick report on it since Hartfords been so slow as of recent.

Hit it up with intent for take out. I've been aiming for a dancer named Domino as of recent. I must say, I've been striking out there big time as of recent for take out...but dammit I just love the sleeze.

Sunday they had a nice little fist fight between two dancers. Helluva fight.

Had an opportunity for take out there I was aiming for. Just had to hold out till tip out time. Thinking back, I definitely had my beer goggles on nice and tight. Here I am, scratching around in the dust of Venus for some quality action. Yeah, times are rough, man!

Check this...I indeed hold out and arrive around midnight for my pickup. The crowd is rowdy and then it happens. Cat fight! Details are meaningless...they always are.

After the altercation, things resumed par the course. A thick chicked girl is dancing on stage and I've got time to kill. I lean over and give her $2. Not $200...no...2 dollar bills.

You would think I just made her my heir apparent. My "date" flips out on me, even pushed me! "Why you give that fat #^%$@ $2!"

Took this veteran game player for a serious loop. This girl is pissing on me for giving this girl $2? WTF? She cancels our plans for the night and gives me the cold shoulder.

WTF...dick in hand, time to kill, and this biotch is acting a fool. Whats pisses me is that I got unnerved by it. I tried to play cool and just get out, but I can't help but feel like a turd in my own piss pool.

I've struck gold in so many other better locations. The Blue, Mardis Gras, Gold Club, Gentlemans, Platinum Plus, I can't even count all the places and girls. I've hit it with some incredible women up and down the east coast from Maine to the Carolinas. Yet here, in East Hartford, at that dump of a spot called the Venus, no matter how much cash I have...I'm walking out like a punk empty handed...again.

Its not all ways easy to land what you want, boys. Lessons to be learned.

One things for certain...I shall return to the 420. The catching is the funnest part of this hobby for me. The finish is often anti-climatic and akward. The 420, though their is rarely a single girl that rates above a 6 in that place, I'll be back.

Also...I should make mention that "I think" the new girl that I've been reading about in Hartford was at Venus unattended. Cute, blond, about 20 years old. Nice ass, B cup. Just a warning to the fellow mongers here, stay away from Christa, Christina, or Chrissie (the white, skinny redhead found along Sargent or Ashley, don't know what name she tells all of you). Following my 2nd experience with her, I noticed she filled her bag up with half of my bathroom. She had passed out (I assume she hadn't slept in days) after we were finished, and that's when I noticed lots of my bathroom supplies in her 'shopping bag'. Little did she know that I stole back all of my stuff while she was in la-la land, leaving a bottle of water that she thought was hairspray in her bag. She was so out of it, she didn't know the difference. I also made the mistake of bringing her back to my house again, which will never happen again, valuable lesson learned. When I was trying to get her go and bring her back to Htfd, she became very belligerent. I then threatened to call LE, that she didn't want, so she got in the car, passed out again all the way back to Htfd, then once in the area she again didn't want to get out of the car. At that point I noted that I saw some of my belongings in her bag, at which point she very quickly sobered up (amazing how that happens) and denied being a thief and not stealing anything of mine. I then took the bottle of hairspray out of her bag and asked her what this was. She grabbedf it and tried to spray the bottle which she thought was hairspray in my eyes, but I grabbed it back and tossed it out the window, at which point she tried to grab my car keys from the ignition, but I again was too quick for her. I then drove to the Ashley Cafe where there was LE, and told her that if she didn't get out now, our next stop was HPD. She got out finally. It was like Jekell and Hyde from our first experience, maybe she wasn't drunk and high the first time. Only good thing to come out of this was that all this happened after she finished her BBBJTC, and she swallowed every drop. Oh yeah, and it was a freebie!!! I had every intention of giving her some food scratch, but not after I saw that she tried to get away with half my bathroom. Just be warned about this psycho. If you pick her up, she may seem very sweet and innocent at first, but will turn on a dime. Use better judgement and pass this one, I will from now on.

After striking out three consecutive days in a row I decided it was time to take a drive down to CT. Boy am I glad I made the trip guys. I scored my first piece of black ass last night and it was really good. She brought me back to her house and the price for about 30 minutes of 1/2 n' 1/2 was $30. ADVOCATE REPORT --

Been trying to hook up with the infamous Christina, who supposedly used to work the DP area but now has an ad in the Advocate as "Tiny Teen Babe"

The number listed seems to lead to a common number that at least three (possibly more) girls are using to book appointments. Most of the time Christa answers -- it took me a while to determine that Christa is NOT Christina...

Here's my experience so far:

Called Monday... Christa answers. After some confusion, determine that Christa isn't Christina, and learn that Christina wasn't available right then... our schedules never meshed, so couldn't hook up...

Called again Tuesday... Christina answers. We set an appointment for incall. I call again at the arranged time when I'm in the area, and get voicemail... leave message & wait.... no return call. She says she'll try to reschedule things and call back in 2 minutes. Wait. I call her back 15 minutes later, and Christa answers... Tells me Christina is booked solid until very late that night... Pissed, I drive home.

AJ, your best bet if you have no car is to be damn careful.

There is no real safe quiet spot (IMO) except maybe the walkway to the park. But the cops are actively there and patrol the park.

Ask the girl, she may be able to take you to her place. Yet, really, you might just be out of luck. If you are rolling with cash (you'd have to!) and someone smells fresh meat, you are putting yourself in jeopardy. Its very easy to get mugged down there and know one saw a thing.

Going to her place is equally challenging and you have better got balls to handle yourself. Frequently its a crack house type joint or worse. Whatever male there will try to alpha dog you...its just how they live. Act as if he is a pimp or that you "owe" him for whatever. Especially some of the clowns I've met over time down in DP.

With regard to the hot tubs, they seem to be almost exclusively an accessory for show, so the place is really an American massage parlor that happens to have some tubs installed. My experience, and I imagine the experience of most others on this board is that the tubs are rarely or never used (or even available for you to use, for that matter).

In addition, the general sense here is that the services are WAY overpriced, quality (in both the looks and service departments) is WAY low, and that the whole experience probably isn't worth your time or the exorbitant fees. Better to continue on to Waterbury...

I haven't been to Tubs in a long time because the few experiences I had there were so poor, and because I haven't read any glowing reviews here -- any others with a different point of view?

Sorry for all the posts at once, I have been away for a while and wanted to make a contribution and also get somefeed back.

I have been in the 'hobby' for almost 5 years now but mostly have stuck with escorts from advocate. average price between 1.25/1.50 most of you post of experiences w/ sw's who are drasticly less expensive. My best experience ever, was 2 months ago with Ann(e) who advertised in the advocate #270-1617, unfortunately the number is out of service. I also got a direct number of 833-1279 which is also out of service.

I would not recommend snapping a lot of photos in these areas. There are numerous drug dealer operating there (big surprise, huh). I don't think they would like their pictures taken. They only tolerate us driving around because we supply the cash to the girls and keep money flowing.

Sun night 9pm. Met Jenn per prior agreement. She was attacked an robbed the night before by 3 guys behind 24 Hour Store. Her face was a bloody mess. Left eye completly shut. Left side of face swollen beyond belief.I tried to talk her into going to St Francis emergency room with me. She declined because of what they might find in her blood. She knows who the 3 guys are that did it. They took $400 from her.She may go into a safe place at 11 am today.

That's sucks about Jenn. I hope the guys that did it end up being someone's ***** in prison. I don't know why she would not want to go to the hospital. The ED staff sees people from all walks of life and having "something in your blood" is not going to stop them from treating you. Plus they cannot refuse to treat you based on your ability to pay. She probably did not want the cops to know who she was.

I did see the other red head WSW in North End later that night and had a great time. I believe this is the girl that Wolfman J had a problem with. I had no problem with her and she made no attempt to steal anything.

Gordon, I didn't have a problem with her the first time either, both times brought her back to my place. The first time was normal as could be, it was the second time where she freaked. Maybe it's when she feels that she's comfortable around someone, the other personality comes out.

As far as the streets go, tonight (Mon), around 11:00pm, DP was semi-active with 3 HSW's, but I kept driving as they weren't up to my expectations. I'm sure that you all have heard about the incident Tuesday where two policemen were shot near the intersection of Zion and Summit Street, an area that has been noted as a source of street action here on WSG in the past (also near Broad St where there is also street action from time to time).

Looks like the two cops will be ok, but my guess is that it may be a good idea to stay away from this area for the next several days until things calm down.

Craig's List is a very simple online people bulletin board. No cost.

People put up ads or communicate about needs, services, stuff to sell, tickets to give away, surrogate boyfriends for a prom, roomate requests, travel buddies for spring break, etc.

The fun part is that Craig's list gets real spicy. In large city areas you see requests similar to what you'll find in the back of the hartford advocate. Again...its free.

More over...lots of opportunity for gratutitous hookups are available through it. If your travelling alot, its very fun and sometimes useful. I got a small hookup some many months ago while visiting DC for a company trip. Yet there are lots of "interesting" requests as well. Horny housewives seeking to meet a certain type of male for fantasy stuff...or even 20 something year olds wanting to get there cherries popped gently...stuff like that.

Its a big college thing right now.

The Hartford Craigslist has existed for several months, but you had to manually type in the url. There were no links from other cities or directory. So there were a very small number of posts. On Friday they turned on the links and in most categories the number of posts have trippled in the last couple days. Still has a ways to go but it's growing strong.

It says Hhartford but the nearest alts are NYC, Providence and Boston, so effectively it's for all of CT and Springfield.

It appears that citizen complaints an an neighborhood groups are being heard this spring.Monday night appeared not to be random an planned well in advance. Im surprised only 9 arrested. If past is any measure we can expect a second follow up in two weeks. The 30 YO from Simsbury is the SW with the Red Sox cap who started working Weth Ave last month I believe.
Hartford is a shrinking SW market an when DP closes it will be even dryer. All the strip clubs gone but one. All the MP gone. Seems like about 10% of what it was in total 8 years ago.

I appreciate the details in your report, but I know from experience that a lot of people find it very difficult to read a report that is written as one long block of text. It's kind of like trying to eat an entire steak in one bite.

I know how this happens: You're banging away at the keyboard, putting your thoughts into the report as fast as you can write them. However, if you could hit the return key every few sentences while you're writing, and thus break your report into smaller paragraphs, your report would be much easier to read, which would certainly be appreciated by your fellow Forum Members.

Happened to me the other day and dammit...my heart sank when I saw how utterly unavailable she was to me at the time. Perhaps if I had my game on, perhaps I could have made it work like I did just a year ago in a similar situation. (Damn, she was fine as hell...)

Yet this day...when it would really pay off...I had no game.

I was going through the Ashley area Thursday night around 7:30pm to see what was going on, there was some action and some LE. I saw a skinny scary looking blond with short hair walking down Ashley.
