I was out checking the street action in Hartford last Tuesday evening and even drove by the Ashley/Huntington corner around 8:15 p.m. Saw one young lady proudly standing on the street corner, a somewhat light-skinned black woman, maybe mid 20s, attractive, well-dressed in a nice brown jacket, didn't look like the usual struung-out ladies one often sees there. Made a second pass-by but the car directly in front of me pulled over and stopped in front of her. She walked over to the side door and started to talk with the driver as I drove by, but then I kept going and did not pay any attention as to whether she got in the guy's car or not. At the time I figured that the driver in front of me was lucky.
Then on Thursday morning I read the Hartford Courant article about the Ashley/Huntington sting (well described in previous posts) and I wondered to myself - was the young lady in the brown jacket part of the sting? and did I narrowly escape getting arrested? If so, then I have a lot to be thankful for this year!

Did ridearound to check scene out last night 915 to 1030. No LE unusual activity. Back to how it looked a month ago.
White 25 YO SW Dutch, Thick Latina Maple Ave, 30 YO white New Britain Ave, White girl with glasses Niles St. That was it for those areas. It was cold an 34.
Ashley , Huntington, Garden lots of drug dealers an 8 or 9 SW. Nothing special. Regulars no where in sight.
All in all a lot less girls walkin round than a week ago even taking in to consideration the the over 30 SWers that were arrested last Tue.
Shakedown I would not mind hooking up with Angelina also.

I've seen them popping up in some interesting spots. I know at least two are working at CSC. (I also know a stripper who works there...damn...I should go find some work there myself. Lucky dogs don't know what they got going on. )
At least one is dancing that I know of locally. The owner is a regular at the Alph.
I did a date at a hotel spot in south of Hartford not long ago (Mid Movember?) with a friend (from alpha) and found out that 2 others were ALSO there...to my surprise. Incall agency stuff mostly with different clients.
I think two are doing outcall.
A few others are just doing their day gig that they've always been doing.
The funny thing is...I've been running into guys who frequent the joint at some interesting spots...they shall remain nameless. I've been trying AMPs out in Waterbiry and been much pleased-Toyko Spa is a happeni spot as well as HK. Been looking around the Manchester/Hartford area, but can't find much. Also looked for some SWs in Willamantic, but no luck. Maybe too many LE's. Anbyone have any insight on wehre to find a solid AMP or some SW action around this neck of the woods.

There's almost nothing in the way of AMPs or other incall places in the Hartford area - that's why so many WSG posters are sad that the Alpha Spa in Hartford closed down a couple of months ago. There are now NO asian massage parlors (AMPs) or other MPs in Manchester or Hartford and its immediate suburbs.
The closest incall places from Hartford are New Seoul Spa in Vernon (HJ only with lots of lousy reviews recently) and Sun Accupressure Spa in Berlin (much better than New Seoul but still HJ-only). There's a strange spa in the center of Bristol - usually a HJ-only place but one poster has claimed that certain ladies will perform more - but it would take you over 20 minutes to drive here from Hartford, almost the same amount of time as driving to the Waterbury spas.
You could also drive to Meriden to go to Best Spa (AMP with FS) or Tubs-for-Two (overpriced non-Asian MP with lots of lousy recent reviews). But Meriden is around 30 minutes from Hartford, the same time as driving to Waterbury. You might as well take Monger22's and my advice and drive to Waterbury.

Regarding Willimantic, the SW scene has been pretty scarce ever since the Hartford Courant did a feature on drugs and prostitution in Willimantic, labelling it "Heroin Town." Just last week there was a TV report on the probable closing of the hotel in downtown Willimantic where many of the SWs live (believe it or not, it's called the Hotel Hooker).
If you live close to Willimantic, feel free to check out the SW scene, but read the WSG posts on Willimantic first, and expect a strong LE presence! If you don't live close by, I would suggest that you not even bother wasting your time trying to check out the SW scene there. Good luck!

Late November I reported SW sightings in E Hartford. I also reported the best "loop" to find activity.
I've more or less traveled that route 15-20 times since 11/03, I've had NO further sightings.
I have seen a neatly dressed Black girl about 5'6", talking with parked drivers, and hopping into cars during the day.
I noted her several times on Burnside and also on Silver lane.
But she's already talking, (or getting in) when I see her.
Have not caught her strolling.
I think you'll mostly waste your time in that town, but if you're headed to Venus or Kahoots, you might want to cruise Main, High, Silver Lane and Burnside.

Checked out Hartford tonight between 10pm and midnight. Lots of SWs in the Dutch Point area, but all tired looking. Passed them up but kept cruising because I had Christina and Amanda fever.

Sure sounds like most of you had a fruitful holiday weekend. I unfortunately did not find myself with any strolling time this weekend. I did stumble upon Amanda for my second encounter on Wednesday. Where is Dutch Point? I am not familiar with the Hartford area. I usually cruise Weathersfield ave and streets off of Albany ave and I have found a few on Main st. I am from New Haven and recently discovered Hartford has some good pickings. I have been to Holyoke and Springfield. What other streets are there in Hartford? I like latinas young and in pretty good shape.
In Bridgeport you can get full service at Teddies and Pleasant Moment for 40-60 from a latina that will blow your mind away. The latter is not to good the qualtiy is similiar to what you can find on some streets but with all these young sexy latinas I know there are some good pickings out there.

Okay, so i've heard all the hype about Christina and Amanda and as i'm sure others who read this board, I became very interested. I have had the pleasure (twice actually) in spending some time with Amanda. See my previous posts on Amanda. But yesterday I was in the South end just passing through on my way back to the office to see what was going on. I saw nothing. I checked in at the WSG to find Mongers post of Christina and Melissa out on the prowl. By the time I left work I was on a mission. I have heard so much about the infamous Christina I felt I had to see it to believe it. So I returned to Christina's "supposed" area. Now I understand that patience is a virtue but my search has now extended into weeks and still no sight of this woman. The area was hoppin' though, 4-5 Sw. I circled and circled. Left for a few minutes then came back. Parked for awhile then circled some more. Then suddenly I spot (from quite some distance) a blonde with a longish coat and wait she has on red pants. My excitement almost overcame me as I sped down the street. When I approached I found a woman probably in her late 50's early 60's giving me the "look". I just kept on moving in disgust. I stroled on over to a spot that gives a great vantage point. I parked and pondered the situation.
During this period of reflection I came to the conclusion that I had been had. All this talk of this young beauty was actually a hoax. Boy these guys at the WSG are mean. Giving false hope to us fellow mongers. I mean come on can you really believe that there is this adorable 20 year old non-addicted beauty walking the streets of Hartford. I sat and smoked my cigarette feeling a bit embarassed and ready to head home. But wait what is that in the distance. I see a ski cap! I see a long tan coat! Are those red plaid pants? Why yes they are!
I start the car and make a bee line for this woman hoping its not a figment of my overactive imagination. I fear she will be picked up befor I can get to her. But alas I approach her and duck into a lot for the pick up. She was a bit hesitant at first but then hops into my vechicle and introduces herself...Hi I'm Christina! At last I had found her. The hard part was over (for now) and on for some pleasure.
I must say that once I laid eyes on this woman I was very disappointed that I didn't have all night to spend with her. Guys this girls seems like the kind of girl you would want to take home to mom. "Dutch Point" is the housing project and immediate vicinity located off of Wyllys Street, down the hill from the South Green, which is where Wethersfield Ave. and Main Street both start.
The side streets leading into the project (Norwich Street et al) can be a little rough, so be careful! On the other hand, there's no need to go into the project itself, as the young sw's are usually walking on Wyllys or Wethersfield or Stonington Street near Wethersfield (Stonington is the first side street off of Wethersfield, just south of the South Green).

The girls looks were street quality, for sure. I'd pay no more than $20 street for both. Young, but they were aged hard...damn hard.
These blonde wonders were the ones that looked like Jenna Jameson? I am a hard core monger. If either remotely reminded me of anything, I could deal...but hell no. You know...its pretty bad that just being around someone for less than 5 minutes (with zero contact) and their stink is clinging to you.
I promptly withdrew and gotta a call from the the agency. Yes....thats right...they called me back on my cell. Big no, no, in my book. After getting my beratement for wasting my time with such inferior crap and even worse escorts, she "apologized" and told me she had another girl near by...a "gorgeous asian girl".
At this point, I'm thinking...hell no. I'm searching for some specific good qualities and I should just call it a night and look elsewhere. Yet, I decided...what the hell...my nights shot anyways, and I've got hours to kill. I'll give it a go for the team.
Met with gorgeous asian, alright. I've seen gorgeous asians, and she's not it. I've seen better working the take out line at any Hartford Chinese food store. She was inexpensive, however, so I gave it a go. Dammit...she was totally anti-GFE. So anti GFE she was on top and wouldn't even move. Her skills were inferior and she constantly was picking up the phone from the "agency". Hmm...the agency directed me to her, yet 10 minutes later they are calling her?
During this time...I had time to think of a new acronym to describe this experience. PDE. Plastic Doll Experience.
I ended the session, gave my pleasantries and jetted. Fortunately, I was able to leave with 50% of my donation due to negotiation on my part earlier.
I confirmed notes with a few others who've tried them before and it seems I am not an anomaly. Perhaps someone out there has pleasant experiences with them. If so...please, post up and let us know.
For now, however, I'm so disgusted, I hope I swayed at least a few who considered calling to rethink and consider a myriad of others to choose.

If LE has your info, they may well contact you. If they do, I'd have your attorney return the call, Its very legitimate if LE contacts you about anything, to have your attorney call them. The other benefit is once your attorney is involved, unless you're getting busted or LE doesnt get it, its considered inappropriate for LE to contact you directly once they know your lawyer is involved.
IMHO, this is exactly the reason I never give personal info to any chick or house - you never know where its gonna end up. Maybe these folks are stand-up people and are taking the heat, but there is a long list of guys who have been burned by women and houses.

Everyone is worried about alpha's membership list, if I recall all they listed was 1st name and last initial nothing else. How can they link it to you?

Dont get scared, dont get nervous. Just because they have your name doesnt mean JACK SHI'ITE! Hobo Bob is correct that unless they have tape of you actually breaking the law they cant do anything other than harass you. Even if they had tape of you having sex with a girl, if the tape doesnt show money changing hands, then they cant make a case. Simply having your name means nothing - even if the the girls claim you paid for sex.
If you get a call, ask what its about. If they say its jsut background, then say you cant imagine what kind of background you could provide and ask again what they are looking for. No matter what they answer, just say you are not comfortable with they way you are being questioned and refer them to your attorney.
Once you do that, they are not allowed to question you without your attorney and you do NOT have to agree to be questioned AT ALL (remember Jon Benet Ramsey's parents?). Just keep cool and SAY NOTHING.

There seems to be at least 4 SW out and about. After roughly 20 minutes, I spotted the infamous Christina coming around the corner. I chose Motel 6 down 99 which I thought was Berlin Turnpike(Rte 15). Silly me!!!Later on, I found out Maple Ave which hits Whyllis, Main, & Wethersfield Ave intersection, changes into Rte 15 traveling South. Once you hit Rte 15, there are 2 motels on the right & one on the left. Christina told me they offer short stays for roughly$20-$30 for a few hours.
She most likely will be out during Lunchtime.

Smoker...hit the Berlin Turnpike. Any of the spots will do, but if you are a hard bargainer (or your date is cause she knows the score) there is a place called the "Amodio?" on the right hand side that offers a "short stay" rate of $25.
Otherwise, they will pit you for $50-$55 if they can. If you go, ask for the rooms on the back side of the building, not front or side. Those doors tend to have no solid locks. ;)

If you could see me right now, you'd see a big grin from ear to ear, as this afternoon I got to meet the famous Christina! All of the nice things written about her by other posters is true - if anything, she is even nicer than described here in previous posts.
I don't want to go into details, but wow! I enjoyed being with her. Guys, this young lady is a rare, precious gem who deserves be treated gently and with respect.

Clarification The rape took place Sat. The 12 hour abduction to a town 30 minutes from Hartford where she was held against her will an punched out took place all day Sun. It was two separate incidents.

I am a lawyer - though not licensed in CT. However, Christina does not need a lawyer - she needs to go to the police and file charges. Private lawyers cannot file criminal charges against another person. I assume she is reluctant to file a complaint since she was engaged in illegal activities. However, my experience is that larger police agencies will not hassle a working girl when going after a violent felon. They prefer the girl to come forward and to get the scumbag in prison.
I just read about Christna, I am completely sicken by it. I have made 4 trip from Bridgeport in the hopes of being lucky enuff to meet her. Unfortunatly no luck.
That said I feel as if I know her thru all the nice report from everyone. Does she know who did this to her, and can he be held accountable. Is there anything that we can do to help her out. I'd be willing to do what ever I could.

That's what I was thinking too -- the thing about how she wouldn't be as harassed by LE as she might think. If someone knowledgable (i.e. lawyer) would explain that, perhaps she would be willing / desiring to file charges.
Obvoiusly, there may well be much more to the story than we've learned on this board, so the decision will ultimately be Chistina's, and she should make that decision with her own best interests in mind... but the offer of knowledgeable help in navigating the maze and complexities of our legal system may be a welcome thing to her...

I'm just as furious about the news on Christina as the rest of you. Seems strange since my last post a few days ago had requested that everyone be nice to her. While I would feel bad at reading that any SW got attacked, I feel particularly bad for Christina. She had been nicer to me than many of my past girlfriends!
I will take some positive credit here. After I was with Christina on Thursday, I went to my computer to write my report, and when I scrolled through the last few pages, I became worried at the large amount of info on Christina, especially the photo of her. So I sent a PM to Outworlder (he was the poster who had posted her photo) and asked him to remove her photo from WSG. He agreed with me and the photo was removed by Friday afternoon, but obviously it was already too late.
I certainly hope that they catch both of the a-holes who did this to her, and lock them up for a long time. Meanwhile, we should probably be discreet as to what we post on WSG, and share the details only by PM (and even then be careful).

Police said Tuesday that Sun Acupressure on Farmington Avenue was a front for prostitution and that both the owner and an employee had been arrested. The business was closed Tuesday.
The business owner, XXXX, was charged after a "masseuse" offered an undercover police officer sex in exchange for money.
"It was a lengthy investigation stemming fron an incident in October," police received tips and complaints about the business from people in the community.
Berlin police and the Connecticut State Police conducted the investigation.
A Sun Acupressure customer tried visiting the establishment Tuesday afternoon, only to find its doors locked and blinds drawn. He declined to comment.
An "Under Construction" sign was posted on the front door.
Some business owners in the area said they didn't notice anything unusual happening at Sun Acupressure. However, there was talk about what happened behind its doors.

I have not been on this scene long enough, but I am sure she is a true treasure, and it just sickens my stomach to hear of things like this. And these guys, they're nothing but a bunch of p*ss*** that prey on helpless girls and take advantage of them. I am sure there is justice in life, and they will soon pay for their actions/crimes.

Well I saw Christina bright and early this morning. First of all let me say she is okay!! I had a long conversation with her about the events that occurred this weekend and got the first hand story. The info is a bit different than previously posted here. Anyone who wants more info please PM me. Her only request at this point is that she stop being a topic of conversation here. I will elaborate a bit more later today.
Eight SW arrested Fri night on Ashley St. One was a guy dressed as a girl. Targets were SW not patrons.
Posting information on the guy who assualted her on this board will accomplish nothing. Unless a monger is going to his house to beat him up (please do NOT consider this) there will be no action. Even if a member of the Hartford Police actively reads this particular board in hopes of catching providers, he could not make an arrest based on a post.
Its really quite a simple matter, if Christina does not go to the cops and file a criminal complaint, nothing can happen. The only time a cop can arrest someone for a crime without a complaining witness is if he WITNESSES the crime. Even an outright confession is not enough to sustain an arrest without a complaint. If I post a message on here saying I punched Stoner in the nose (for example of course) police could do nothing unless Stoner filed a complaint. This is why postings by each of us detailing illegal activities such as prostitution never result in us being arrested. Cops can easily find out who "Luvdozer" really is, but no arrest can result unless there is a complaint OR they witness the crime.
The reason that Christina should expect cooperation from the police is the relative seriousness of the two crimes. She is used to being hassled by the cops for prostitution and they certainly try to reduce or eliminate the practice. But rape and assault and infinitely more serious. A reported rape gets counted in the cities crime statistics, so there is incentive to investigate the complaint and make an arrest if possible. Police detectives tend to be rather pragmatic about the whole thing - if they have to choose between rapists running around unpunished because prostitutes are deep underground versus a violent predator being put in jail because they ignore a single instance of prostitution, they will choose the latter.
For those in touch with her - please note that these are GENERAL comments. I have no experience with Hartford PD. Police departments can be all over the place with this stuff. Her best bet is to contact a rape crisis center. These places specialize in guiding women through the process. If Hartford PD is particularly good or bad, they will know for sure. Finally, she should know that she has missed her best opportunity to get the guy since she did not go to an ER for treatment and have a rape kit done. This doesnt make prosecution impossible, just somewhat more difficult.

By the way Amanda has been pinched by LE and is now in jail for an extended period of time. Please be careful out there!

Even if a woman has sex with 10 guys in one evening, a properly done rape kit can still prove if a given person is one of the those 10. The injuries and testimony of the victim can take care of the rest.
The point you make is exactly why most SWs never report rapes - they assume no one will beleive them. It is also why rapists routinely prey on SWs, especially when they begin assualting women - they know there is a certain amount of safety in assuaulting this group.
If more SWs were brave enough to come forward, seek treatment at ERs, and file charges; and if more police departments and DAs understood that rapists are rapists and a danger to all women, then SW would be a much safer activity.

Thanks for your report on the Sun Accupressure Spa in Berlin. I've been out of town since last Monday and had not heard that news before now.
From my experience, Sun has always been a HJ-only place ever since they opened (please refer to numerous posts in the "CT - Other Areas" board here on WSG). Although I've been a regular there since the very first day that they opened, I've never been able to get more than a HJ (or a "Russian" in two instances), and they clearly know me well there and know that I'm not a cop. So either they have suddenly changed their MO or else the Berlin police are willing to prosecute even for HJ-only.
Hard to believe that neighboring businesses were complaining, since this place is very discreet. Maybe it's just that Berlin is one of those towns that won't tolerate MPs or AMPs, although that's strange since there's a strip bar (Infrared, formerly Showgirls) around the corner from Sun Accupressure.
The story also makes me think that the arresting officer must have been a patron more than once, to build up some trust from the girls. Sounds a bit like entrapment to me.

RIP and tribute for Monique Brown
I was shocked to read in this morning's Courant that (Maishaun) Monique Brown died at the age of 37, much too young.
Some of you older mongers may remember her from when she was running around on the streets in the 80s and early 90s. I first met Monique in the summer of 1983 when she was dancing and hanging out at the Trios club on the corner of Park and Washington (same building as Marty's Adult World and another MP in the back). She was only 16 but looked older, with a well-endowed figure and a face identical to the black girl in the Michael Jackson "Thriller" video.
She was a very sweet but confused girl who got screwed up by drugs. She wasn't happy with her lifestyle and always wanted to straighten out her life, but drug addiction is strong and it wasn't easy. Several of her friends (including me) tried to help her, but again it was not easy.
Eventually she cleaned up her act in the mid 1990's. I last heard from her in 1998 when she let me know that she had finally gotten her life together.
I realize that WSG may not be the best forum for this tribute, but reading about Monique's death (and the recent attacks on Christina) reminded me that behind the faces of the ladies we see on the streets are real people, many of whom are good people who just happen to be in a bad place in their lives and who deserve our friendship and respect. And this may be the only place where anyone writes something nice about Monique; the Courant obituary said very little.

That's a good reminder for people who cruise. It is all about cash for the ladies. I have met up with Christina a few times and have always had a good time. But I would never give cash and then have them say i want to stop here for a moment, because you know she and your cash will be gone for good no matter how angelic an SW may look
Another rule to remember, and I have learned this the hard way, only take the cash you are willing to spend or loose. Also leave your credit cards at home or stashed away in your car. I certainly never knew Monique, but she was just about the same age as I am, so it really affected me. I don't normally post here in the Hartford section because its not at all my "turf," but after reading that I felt compelled to chime in.
When reading reports from other parts of the country and world, I realize we have a pretty good group here in the Connecticut forum. I rarely see people post things that demean these working girls here like I do in other places, and I for one appreciate that.

I am an out of towner. Cruised around the Wyllis St. area Monday night 7:30-8:15pm and then again from 9:30-10:30pm. I saw "nada" - nothing at all except for a bunch of guys walking around. Am I in the wrong area? I thought I would at least see one honey.

A typical scam that we've all been burned by in the past is the "gotta buy some blah blah blah real quick." scheme. They ask for some portion of the money upfront and want to go "score" right quick with promise to enhance your time. She goes into house and goes out the back door to the real spot...or will lose you in the projects.
This fellow in particular was foolish enough to go trouncing through Dutch point looking for her AFTERDARK! (No offense, guy, if you are reading this, but you need to hear this, seriously) He could have lost more than a few dollars in there.
Just a word of caution. It takes one fellow to come up dead somewhere to cause all sorts of hell. God forbid he has a WSG report in his car and mapquest directions or whatever.
Be careful out there. Be careful who you trust and how much you trust. Its all a game, boys.

If you are going to be staying in Farmington, your best bet is to drive west on I-84 for about 20 minutes to Waterbury and try either Magic Spa (right off of Exit 24) or Hong Kong Spa, about an 6 minute drive north of Exit 23. There are several other AMPs in Waterbury but those two are the best. Check the Waterbury board of WSG for details.
Believe it or not, there's not much in the Hartford area itself. Several years ago there were several options, both AMP and MP, but everything got closed down. Only thing left in Hartford is street action.
There is one AMP (Best Spa) and a MP (Tubs for Two) in Meriden, but they are farther away than Waterbury and not as good.
Closest to you would be the "Asiana" AMP at 109 North Street (route 6) in downtown Bristol, about 10 minutes west of Farmington on route 6. But this place is hit-or-miss, check out the posts in the "Other Areas" section of WSG - it alternates between a HJ-only and a FS place.
Now there's no such thing as a free lunch. In return for this useful info, we expect a post from you here on WSG of your exploits!

I was wondering the samething about the DP area. I haven't seen anything worthwhile there in about a week. In the pass few afternoons I have seen more LE out and about. Very few ladies out there though. I haven't even seen Christina out. Does anybody knows whats up.
Cruiesed Hartford today, the Dutch Point area at first seemed dead. After about 30 mins of making the loop I spotted a middle aged Puerto Rican lady. Based on all of the reports below, I guess I got lucky last Friday the 13th.
Around 6 p.m. - drove up the hill on Wyllys Street hoping to look for Christina. Didn't see her, but about halfway up the hill there were two 35-ish Puerto Rican ladies walking down the hill together. Sorry, but I would recommend that you NEVER use your credit card with any escort service, at an AMP, MP, etc.
There was a lively discussion of this issue on the Washington DC board of WSG beginning January 17th. Virtually everyone agreed that it was a bad idea. Here’s a summary of the points made by me and others:
First, there is the problem of having it show up on your credit card statement where the missus can see it. I realize that this is not an issue for single guys, but why leave a paper trail if you don't have to? Six months from now you might find the girl of your dreams, then some day she'll accidentally see your old credit card statements and wonder why you needed all of that muscle therapy.
Secondly, there's the potential to have your number ripped off by either an unscrupulous AMP employee or someone else, the serious threat of "identify theft" that is becoming more and more common.
There is always a one in a million chance that the AMP will be busted and their records seized because of income tax evasion or the like, now the feds have a record of your credit card payment. Your name could end up as evidence in a court case and in the Hartford Courant, and in that case you are presumed guilty even if you had just gone to an MP for a massage and nothing more (wink wink).
Finally, using a credit card can tempt you into patronizing escorts/AMPs/MPs more than you can really afford to. Forcing myself to pay cash does help to control the total amount of money that I devote to the mongering hobby.

The area of potential problems go well beyond just the monthly bill. Establishments tend to keep comprehensive records. They often have detailed customer lists that can include ALL of the customers preferences. They keep copies of each card imprint. And they, too, get monthly statements. Credit card issuing banks also maintain extensive records.
When LE gets serious about our hobby they often bring in the big guns, including the FBI and the IRS. They have found that charges of tax evasion (what Al Capone was actually convicted of) and money laundering bring much longer sentences. The power of the subpoena makes ALL those financial records available to both the Feds and local LE.
The problem could be simple, they might be looking for customers who have spent a lot of money in the establishment that they can sweat a little and get to testify in court. That could be a embarassment to you, but not necessarily fatal. As long as your boss has a sense of humor, your mother, or your kids, don't read the paper or watch the television news, and you don't care what your neighbors think, you are probably o.k.
The problem could also be a lot more serious. You never know what will trigger an IRS audit, but getting screwed tonight could get you REALLY screwed in the future. If you have a job that requires a security clearance (not too unusual in the D.C. area) you really don't want to pop up as a "subject" in a major investigation. LE uses the RICO law in many ways, and they firmly believe that there is a structure to the way the girls move among the AMPs from city to city. When the Bible thumpers make enough noise, the Attorney General tends to take notice and the FBI and the U.S. Attorney tends to follow suit.

All of the reasons for not using a credit card are quite valid. If I was married or had a significant other I would never use a credit card at an AMP
However, I am single so sometimes I do use one. If law enforcement ever tried to sweat me for going to an AMP, I would say go ahead and print my name in the paper - it wont make a difference in my life.
CC fraud is certainly a legit issue, but I use a card with a very low limit. I know that is not complete insurance, but I should also say that I have never had a problem using a credit card at AMPs in CT.

Residence Inn is self park. You go thru lobby for elevators. Just one half mile to one mile north of downtown is Super 8 an next to it isRed Roof Inn. Both of these are self park an monger friendly. Just some thoughts to share on my observations of the scene in Hartford. Since the police chief resigned last November an the popular local guy was named temporary chief over 300 arrests have been made for drugs an prostitution. Regarding credit cards....a looong time ago I went to Toronto (before escorting was legal) and had an escort visit my hotel room. Thanks for your quick feedback on my request for hotel information. Fortunately the hotel cost is covered as a travel expense so room price is not really an issue. It looks like the Residence Inn is close enough to all of the Hartford strolls and even the East Harftford limited activity to be convenient as a base of operations. I am not coming to Hartford until late March but I will certainly provide a full report on my activities.
Also want to thank you for your running commentary on all things connected with adult entertainment in the Hartford region. I have been studying for my visit to Hartford. A City Combs Madam's 'Black Book' for the Names It Knows

FREDERICK, Maryland — Love may be a fleeting thing, but e-mail messages are forever. Or so the chagrined clientele of Madam Angelika Potter's Corporate Affair escort service are learning.
On Wednesday, the City of Frederick ended a long-running lawsuit by releasing evidence from a seven-month police investigation into Ms. Potter's once-thriving prostitution business, including photographs, financial ledgers, police surveillance tapes and 8,500 pages of documents, mainly e-mail messages from the lovelorn and lusty.
The trove was set out for viewing in the elegant second-floor foyer of City Hall. Reporters sifted through boxes of documents while a television set played a police surveillance video of men entering and leaving Ms. Potter's place of business. Among the evidence was what everyone in Frederick, about 40 miles north of Washington, now knows as the "black book," Ms. Potter's meticulously maintained list of clients.
The list, with thousands of names, has been a tinderbox of controversy since Ms. Potter pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of "operating a house of assignation" in November 2000, for which she paid a $100 fine.
Outraged at what they viewed a lenient penalty, some residents, including the president of the local N.A.A.C.P. chapter, accused the authorities of letting Ms. Potter off the hook to keep her client list secret. There could be only one reason, they argued. The list must contain the names of officials and other Frederick elite.
The police and prosecutors denied that, saying there was not enough evidence to convict Ms. Potter of more serious charges. The Frederick News-Post, along with a resident and The Associated Press, sued, demanding the release of the records. Late last month, a state appellate court ruled in their favor, and on Wednesday, the records went public.
It seems fair to say that at least a few men in this city of 52,000 are nervous about what lies inside. Already, City Hall has been inundated with phone calls about the list, mainly from wives asking whether their husbands are on it, officials said. More than 100 copies of "the book" have been sold at $20 apiece to the curious and vindictive alike. The News-Post has assigned six people, including the publisher, to search the files for familiar names.
The acting publisher, Robin L. Quillon, said the paper did not intend to print the entire list of men who paid $250 an hour at Ms. Potter's. But Mr. Quillon said his paper was determined to find out whether there had indeed been a cover-up of official misconduct, or at least hanky-panky.
"How can a major investigation fizzle when it reaches the county courthouse?" Mr. Quillon asked in an interview. "We're not here to titillate. But we believe prominent public officials, by virtue of their duties, can be judged by a different standard."
Ms. Potter's list has already helped end one career, that of Blaine Young, whose name was on a partial list released in 2001. Mr. Young, an alderman at the time and the son of a former mayor, said he had hired the women to dance at parties, not for sex. He decided not to run for re-election after The News-Post published reports on his liaisons.
The controversy may also have contributed to the defeat in 2001 of Mayor James S. Grimes, who fought against releasing the records and was an ally of Mr. Young. Jennifer P. Dougherty, a restaurant owner, challenged Mr. Grimes on an open-government platform, promising to release the black book. She won handily.
But the release was not so easy. The city's insurance company told Ms. Dougherty that she had to fight an order from a lower court to release the files, lest the city be liable to suits by angry johns. The mayor appealed, and the city lost on Jan. 28 in the Court of Special Appeals.
Since then, the city's four lawyers have been reading every e-mail message and document, editing out Social Security numbers and financial information about the clients. Copying the documents has cost the city $10,000, officials said.
The process has also put the city in the odd position of being an official purveyor of pornography, because it has to release a smutty homemade video seized by the police. The city offers "private screenings" of the video, which it also sells for $20.
"This isn't exactly what I expected to be doing when I went to law school," Heather Price Smith, the city's chief legal services officer, said.
The thousands of e-mail messages, from the kinky to the quotidian, show the inner working of the prostitution ring and pornographic Web site that Ms. Potter ran from home in Walkersville and an apartment here before her arrest in July 1999. (The Web site remains in operation.)
There are inquiries from a Baltimore man who wanted to dress like a woman while being seduced by a woman and from a Maryland man who wanted to film a naked woman dialing the phone for 20 minutes.
