It's never fool proof but I always do three things: 1) look at their profile location (see attached it says unknown). A lot of fakes are unknown or in different country. 2) get her number and look it up on reverse phone lookup to see if it's legit or a VoIP. If it's a voip then she's a pro, been around the block enough to know not to use her real number or a scam. Obviously a women with a real number is the safest bet 3) get a verification by video chat or posed picture exchange. Only time I don't do the posed selfie is the number lookup checks out and I get a name that matches what she tells me.
