Prices have gone up at Tee Up and quality of girls have gone down. To make reservations, you have to be referred by a member or know the owner. More than 10 years ago, one of the mama san that works there left Tee Up and took a lot of the girls with her to work at the ktown karaokes. She started her own doumi company or so called atomoshpere model company. Afterwards, you can book all the the Japanese girls at the ktown karaokes. You just have to tell the waiter and they will call for it. My friends were VIPs and regulars at TeeUp over 10 years ago but we haven't gone much since then. Afterward, making reservations was easy.
From 2000 - 2010, they had very hot Japanese girls working there. Some were drop-dead gorgeous DDG. Some girls were Japanese Idols, not JAV porn actresses. After 2014, the quality of girls has gone down significantly. With the growth of social media platforms, a lot of girls make more money on social media rather than a hostess girl. Also, a mamasan who used to work there started her doumi company in Ktown and took a lot of the girls from TeeUp with her.
How TeeUp charges is very complex. The girls go on rotation there. You cannot pick your own girl unless you're a VIP. I think it's every 20-30 minutes they rotate a different girl to sit next to you. Thus, you're paying for the alcohol / food / drinks and the sitting time of the girls and any extra extension fees. Also, if you get the girl's number and ask them out for dinner, they will be more than happy to. Why? What's the catch? If you take them out for dinner the next day, TeeUp charges you for a dinner date fee. And, the girls will only go on a dinner date with you if you go to TeeUp afterward. That's how they get paid for the date fee. I haven't been there for over 10 years so the exact rate they charge now for the girls I don't know. I was talking to my friend who used to be the super VIP there and he says the prices have gone way up more since then. Back then, a night out at TeeUp, I would be spending an average of $1500-2 k per night out at TeeUp. Just to give you a kind of idea.

Came here on a Thursday night. There was free parking on the street next to the meters (Meters were free). The entrance is a glass door with some neon lights that shine through and you can see some stairs. It's not conspicuous from the street but it's obvious you're in the right place as you're walking by.
As you walk in, you arrive to the front desk. You pay the entrance fee and you walk into the bar area. When I walked into the bar area, I see like 14 old men (in their 50's and 60's just lined up around the bar (even though none of them had drinks) And 3 girls sitting on a bench across from the bar. These old men seem to be min-maxing their money. Just loitering in sadness until they see a girl that worth their precious money. There were guys that were just there for an hour without getting anyone.
I got 1 girl. She was there and she wasn't the best looking but I thought might as well. She spoke very little English but we made do. We danced for a bit and I took her back. Paid her $5 tip.

Also, I want to state that the inside is like an open lounge area. So you can see all the customers all around you. Each table is only separated by a sheer drapery. So there is not much privacy. Finally tried LA Grand on a Sat night.
Outside is a sort of non-descript building with some lit up stairs. Walked inside and was told $25 cover and that it's "not a bar. ".
Paid cover, was let into second room. Second room consists of pool tables, bar set up (non-alcoholic drinks and coffee).

Never been to a place like this, so I gave it shot it was an okay time if you can scope out if any girls are willing to do extras. It's a small place you walk in and guys are one the left with pool tables on the right and then the line of girls sitting on a bench.

Went the other day and place is still good. They did raise the entrance fee to $25. I dont mind paying bc I do like this place. The place should be called LA GRIND. Lots of action on the dance floor.
