My first "shock" was that the club has already raised the entrance free from $18 to $20. Not that the extra 2 bucks will break me, but its the principle that they keep nickle and dimeing us. Didn't see any new girl but did see a girl who dressed and walked like a streetwalker. Maybe since the cold weather is coming, she made the smart move to get off the track and still earn. All in all a pretty disappointing visit except for the couple of girls I already knew.

After reading yesterdays comments, I made a trip downtown to the Grand to see where it stands. Well, sad to say that my prior assessment of a slow death may be incorrect, and it looks more like death is approaching the Grand very rapidly. Remember that this was Saturday night, and in the past, you could expect to see at least 40 - 50 guys, and about as many girls to be in the place. It was normally packs. Last night felt like it was Tues or Wed midweek. I would guess (based upon the cards in the clocked in wall cardholder) that there were 10 - 12 guys in the club, and the same number of girls. I say this because there were no girls on the couch nor men waiting in the lobby so everyone was busy. That is good, but I don't believe the club can last on that few number of customers. Even if a few guys have come and gone, club income would be low and the high rents in downtown would push the club out of business eventually. There were a couple of attractive girls there, however the overall atmosphere of the place is just. Sad! Lots of decay; ceilings with holes, light bulbs out. All in all a sad experience for the long term HC goer. Overall, I could not recommend HC visits to new people, but if you are so intrigued and you must, I would advise trying Club Starlight. It may soon be the last club standing.

Trying to avoid a 5th night in TJ in 4 weekends I decided to take a spin through LA Fiches Bar and Hostess club.

Fiches Bar were waste of time. Will report there maybe.

Went the La Grand Hostess Bar. Place is easy to find with big neon sign. Parking kind of sucks. Ended up settling for $15 parking next door. $20 entry fee. Place is kind of large. Good atmosphere. Sitting on a bench / couch were 7 women in sexy dresses. All were either too old (30's?) or too plump for me to pick right away but there were three with potential.

The money girl told me no interactions with girls are allowed. Could not even talk with them to get an idea if we would have fun. Goes against some of my basic monger principals so had to decide if I wanted to give it a shot or not.

Some guys came and quickly the 3 I were considering were gone. It happens so fast not even sure what the exact signal was given. Guy walks by and girl gets up and quickly both go to "couples" area.
