Went out for a drive on 29 Dec (cold and raining)and again last night. Not much out on 29th - did meet a SW on Burnside, about 6 blocks east of Grand. Name was Sandy - wanted .4 for FS.

Last night was quite cold and windy - drove from 82nd over to Sandy and up to around 22nd. Heading west, saw a SW on a corner (Burnside and one block east of Grand) who looked like a good 6 or 7 (but I was on the other side of the street and did not notice her til almost past). There were an awful lot of LE out, especially for a Monday Night. Between the Burnside Bridge and 21st, I counted no less than 7 different marked units. Close to 21st, behind the Key Bank, two LE units had a young girl (maybe 19 - 22) by the ATM questioning her. Do not know if she was a SW or something was going on at the ATM.

On the way back east, saw the same SW near Grand, but she was sitting on a bench talking to a guy. A couple of blocks further saw another SW who looked pretty ragged. Nothing after that all the way back across town.

Only saw one SW yesterday, she had a black jacket with colorful jagged stripes near the top. She was walking with the traffic eastbound on Burnside from SW 16th Ave. I believe she was possessed by Satan. Her body movements were exaggerated and seemed unnatural. I just don't trust those chicks.

Taxi dude I think you are suffering from Street Fever, as I often suffer from this disease as well. SWs at Mall 205! It is possible but when I have Street Fever, I find myself imagining SWs in the most unlikely places. Driving Burnside or 82nd, I'll think every woman walking alone is a SW. Holding Bible study and administering Holy Communion cures the fever.

In regards to the article, although decriminalization of prostitution would be a great event, I seriously doubt it will ever come to pass. Government handpick these “programs to be slashed” for the main reason of putting the fear of God into the public, trying to generate an outcry so people rush to the phone to contact their congressman and legislature. They constantly threaten reducing the number of school days, this is just another attempt to scare the public into demanding emergency funding. Or somewhere they will find some sort of rainy day fund or some funding they forgot about.


You got to remember that the ‘war on prostitution’ is the mayor’s baby. She is the mother of the PFZ ordinances. (among other things)

Another thing about temporary tax increases, bullshit – these are never temporary.

Toured the regular strolls tonight. Everything was dead. Perhaps the bone chilling cold was the deterrent. However I did see at 7:00pm 2 unmarked crowns at NE 82nd and NE Oregon Street – unknown if SW related.

Off the main stroll I did see S/C on Everett and about 20th sitting her fat ass on a bus stop bench.

I also saw a very young SW on 19th and Everett… very young. She had bleached blonde hair and was wearing jeans and a baby blue zip up sweater. 7 – 8. She got into a guy’s car. Damn…

The streets are just about as dead as this Portland forum. I was out and about at around 8 or so tonight downtown and up thru the Hollywood District and back… saw nothing other than possible two of the three SW (possibly described by 0) sitting on the bus bench S/C was sitting on last night on Everett.

A vote on Measure 28 is upcoming on January 28, 2003. Although the measure is focused on income tax issues, one of the consequences speculated and reported in The Oregonian would be decriminalization of prostitution among other petty crimes that are currently misdemeanors. Remember to vote no on 28.

The politics of the issue, you may see one of two different things now until Jan. 28 in order to have prostitution viewed as a “problem,” thus an outcry and subsequent momentum to pass such a Measure such as 28.

· A serious crackdown on prostitution in Portland, massive stings, busts, crackdowns, stakeouts… the whole nine yards. The stuff they print in the paper. This would be for the “Hey Portland, look what sort of service you are going to loose”

or

· The prostitution “Problem” will be ignored in Portland and SW will be ignored for the purpose of littering the streets with SW and letting the public see a “problem” that will “get worse.”

Or a combination of the two. For example, the streets will be allowed to run wild until Thursday, Friday & Saturday January 23, 24 & 25. Then there will be a massive sting operation first on the SWs (vice in unmarked cars) cleaning the streets of all SW activity Thursday afternoon and night. Then once the streets are cleared, on the 24th and 25th there will be a massive sting on Johns (SW decoy style operation). All this in time for press on Monday or Tuesday morning.

This is just a theory.

I have seen the same... it has been dead near the burnside and everett areas. I was desparate enough to go to Shugar Shack to check it out. I have never been there before.

Go to “The Table” located next door from the Sugar Shack if you are that desperate. There are usually a handful of girls who are "working." No, the bar is not new. It is a dive bar that is in the same strip mall as the Sugar Shack off of Killingsworth and Cully. There used to be a hot-dog stand across the parking lot that I think was bulldozed down. The bar is nothing great, in fact it is a dump. It attracts Mexicans, Blacks, a few Whites and some really questionable women. It is quite an interesting combo. The place is a karaoke bar, serves hard liquor, and everyone there is either on drugs, selling drugs, buying drugs, “working,” and/or looking for a working girl. Nothing really worth going out of your way for, but if you are in that area, it is worth popping your head into. I believe there is a $2 or $3 cover charge to get into that dump on the weekends. Beware, that is a rough crowed.

Usually if you wait outside after the bar closes, you can find a girl who “wants a ride.” Sort of reminds me of the old Lotus Card table, but the place is a serious dive. Some fat guy owns the place and has not spent one dime in improvements since I can remember.

Look out for those women who just kind of lurk around and do not make any progress walking down the street. Especially in that spot on a Friday night. I saw 2 unmarked crowns there pulling some poor guy over on Oregon Street just the other night (right down the street.)

Sounds very familiar. I posted something to that effect on the forum a few days ago. I seriously hope that this is not a situation where I wrote something on the forum, a John read it and told a SW and in turn she told you. Very interesting if this was the case. It is not my intent to manufacture information, just present theorys.

The stuff I posted on the forum was totally 100% biased on a theory and calculated guess. I have absolutely no knowledge of any planned stings. I just think it is more likely than not that there will be some sort of massive sting a few days prior to the election, in my opinion – just to show evidence of a “serious problem.”

As far as doing stings on the 26th and 27th, I don't believe it. The election is by mail and the deadline is the 28th. Most people have already voted, the ballots were sent out last week. If they're going to do stings, I think they'll do them now, while they can still catch some undecided voters with the news stories before the 28th. Waiting until 2 days before the deadline will be far less productive.

My feeling is that they know the ballot measure is going to fail and are already laying off the SWs. In November, three out of four voters rejected the measure that would have given free medical care and dental care to everyone in the state through a tax increase. How likely is it that these voters will pass a less specific tax increase during high unemployment and economic recession? I bet half the people who SAY they're going to vote for the tax increase to "support our schools" will actually vote against it. The city of Portland wants to spend $6 million on an ice skating rink, and has already decided to spend over $30 million to bury some water reservoirs to protect them from nonexistant terrorists. If they need money for something important they can take it from somewhere else.

I do however do believe that there will be a sting operation fairly soon… on an accelerated timeline – perhaps in the next week or so. I maintain the position that there is a relationship between this election and what goes on with SW and Johns on the streets of Portland. I am sure there is some strategy to attract the undecided voter to support Measure 28.

Do these measures require a super majority to pass? Somewhere I heard a 2/3 majority is necessary for passage. I think that may be for property tax issues. I am not certain.

I think the mayor just has a hard on because some journalists rummaged through her trash and published their findings in the Willamette Week.

To pass a new tax, a minimum percentage of registered voters have to actually vote (I think it's two-thirds) otherwise the measure automatically fails regardless of the vote results. I'm not sure if that rule applies to this ballot measure though.

There was an article in the latest Tribune or Oregonian discussing how the Multnomah County work release center downtown closed today because of budget cuts, and those 200 inmates will have to be transferred and released early. Definitely a scare tactic in support of Measure 28. "There will be more criminals on the streets!!!"

While that's true, there are better solutions. Such as legalizing victimless crimes such as drug use and prostitution. That would cut down the justice system's load by how much?
At least 25 percent, I would guess. Taxing drugs and prostitution would add more money. Perhaps in this desperate time this solution will finally be seriously considered.

Seriously though, that is a great suggestion. Legalizing prostitution will take the “problem” off the streets and out of the neighborhoods. I think there a lot of resistance to legalizing drugs and prostitution. I have no idea what the drug situation with penalties, but last I heard a prostitution bust will yield a $700 penalty and/or in some cases the car is confiscated and in turn auctioned off. I think however legalizing both would prove more profitable in the long run. It would definitely put the drug dealers AKA “terrorists” out of work.

Everyone please remember to vote NO on 28. Yes on 28 is counting on a low turnout and thus passage. Read this article, I think you will find it quite interesting.

Went out - Just to check things out last night. Drove 82nd from Foster to Sandy, saw some maybes down around Division/Powell area.

Just south of the HS (I think Madison) on the east side of 82nd saw two LE checking id on a gal in the covered bus stop.

It does seem LE activity is up - is it just in the 82nd area, or all over Portland.

Is there any action just north of the Columbia?

Action in Vancouver! Highly doubtful. As far as I know, they don't even have a "stroll" up there. Whenever a newspaper prints a list of guys who were arrested in a sting in Portland, there are usually one or two Vancouver guys on the list.

Todays Oregonian reported a very high return of Measure 28 ballots, which they said indicates great interest among voters. The latest Willamette Weak (yes, weak!) printed an article advocating a yes vote on 28, stating that it would "save Portland" at a cost of only 31 cents per day per person over 3 years.

The fast return of ballots indicates to me that most people had already firmly decided on a no vote. It's easy to say no to new taxes without even considering the issues involved. The later ballots will probably be those who were considering a yes vote and took longer to decide.

If the measure passes, it will be challenged anyway, due to Washington County's voter instructions. The example illustration that shows how to mark the ballot indicates a YES vote.

I was out tonight for about an hour at about 11pm. I covered the 82nd, Sandy, Burnside and Everett strolls.

For those who like to partake in the black scene there was a black SW in a skirt on E Burnside at about 8th Street (across the street from the Galaxy lounge).

I believe that most of the support for Measure 28 will come out of Multnomah County. You can count on about 95% of all government employees to support the measure. You can also count on a majority of college students to jump on the Measure 28 bandwagon. I heard from one government worker that many union contracts have built into them a clause that will automatically trigger an increase in the gross income of an employee to compensate for tax increases such as this one, so the net take home pay will not be affected.

Heck, I am sure government employees were given an hour or two by their supervisors to complete their ballots. I bet some government offices even provided the stamps or organized ballot collection efforts.

Washington County is a pretty conservative county – more conservitive than Multnomah. I seriously doubt Measure 28 will get much support from Washington County voters. Even if one was to throw out all the “yes” votes in Washington County, I doubt it would have an affect on the outcome of the election. No lawsuit will be presented on those grounds if that test is not passed.

Given what I have seen during the noontime hours, I would focus on these areas during this timeframe:

· 82nd and Glisan to 82nd and Sandy

· 82nd and Sandy to 57th and Sandy
· MLK & East Burnside to about 9th & Burnside, then Sandy up thru about 33rd.

· 20th and Everett, and 19th and Everett Bus Stops, and 19th & Couch Area.
· 82nd Between Division and Powell.

That is a pretty loose list but covers it from just about any point of origin.

82nd is pretty good as a whole (82nd and Sandy clear up to 82nd and Powell and even clear beyond Flavel sometime depending on the situation.) Blessings to the Eugene/Springfield area. Eugenian, there are 2 different types of situations you may encounter in adult stores:

1) the private booths where you can lock the door and put money in to watch porno movies. It's rare to find a hooker working inside an adult video store since they are so obvious. This is more typically a gay guy thing, because the stores don't object to "consenting adults" sharing a booth, but do object to prostitution. They know girls who wandered into the store alone aren't doing free BJs in the booths... whereas gay guys will suck each other off in a McDonald's bathroom without a second thought. A business owner could be charged with "promoting prostitution" or something, if they let women hang out by the booths.

2) the "jack shack" setup. You and a girl go into a room alone. There is nothing between you. She could jack you off or give you a BJ or fuck you if she wanted to, but most likely she won't. Some places also have hidden cameras and/or one-way mirrors to make sure no prostitution goes on. A friend of mine a couple of years ago reported visiting 3 jack shacks. One allowed no contact at all. Another place, the girl said he could touch her "arms, legs, and nonsexual areas". The other place, he got a HJ (which was, of course, between consenting adults and not negotiated for).

Either option is going to most likely result 95% of the time in disappointment. Your best bet is SWs which may result in 10% to 20% disappointment. I think all the adult places have a "discreet entrance", the Fantasy Video on Sandy has one directly behind the store on a quiet residential street. You walk through 2 or 3 long hallways.

About 3 years ago there was an interview in Willamette Week with the owner of the Fantasy Video chain, Tracy Blakeslee. He's this big fat fucker. Indeed these places seem like ideal places for SW to hang out. So would around the outside, such as near the discrete back entrance Father Priest referred to in his earlier post. It seems like this sort of activity would be an attraction to these sort of places – at least some of them.

This is in response to the cash and dash scheme - which has happened to me twice in the past five years or so. Once - absolutely nothing I could do but chalk it up to a learning experience. The second time, she was a bit drunk, and when I caught up with her the next next day when she was on the street - like TaxiCab - she didn't remember me. I was dressed differently, was driving a different car, and picked her up. This was in PDX on Sandy, and I simply turned onto the Banfield and headed east.....telling her my apartment was only three minutes away. After getting to the Troutdale area - she asked how much further - and I took the next exit. After pulling into a parking lot of an apartment complex, I told her that she could either service me for free, pay me back, or call a cab. She said she was drunk and just didn't have it in her to do anything - and with cash in hand, she just split the day before.

Took to the regular strolls tonight after a brief absence. Saw several SW here and there despite the rainy weather. Saw an over animated SW at the famous HV bus stop downtown. Also saw a couple of SW at the Everett & 19th bus stop. Saw several SW here and there on 82nd. Not much action on Sandy. LE was quite light, probably saw 2 the entire trip.

Hit the FV stop and saw 3 SW working the booths. One in her 30’s had curly long brown hair, small glasses, wearing a workout/sweats type outfit. Her appearance was about a 6. She was hanging around a thin brunette who looked stoned. The stoned brunette had long hair, very thin, about a 7, and both were about 5’ 8”. Both were obviously working and said “hi” as they strolled the booths looking for customers. They did not try to open any doors.

Ended up hooking up with Kristy as described on the forum by other members. According to her she hangs out there just about every evening. Absolutely no rush, provides satisfactory BJ, does not complain about time whatsoever. She was wearing the same damn baby blue puffy coat and tightass jeans she was wearing the last time I drove by and saw her outside. Her snatch had a bit of an odor, not too offensive. Not very tight. Saw two of the Fathers nuns hanging out near 60th and Sandy, both blonde and both about an oregon 5, I didnt stop. I didnt see any other action till Upper Burnside, and OMG! I fine oregon 9 girl hanging out at the HV bus stop. AMPGuest, there are no AMPs in Portland. The police went on a crusade during the 80s to shut down all the MPs. They were resurrected as "lingerie modeling" establishments... however, at these places, the chances of getting extra services are slim. There are more than enough SWs and escorts to be found though. If you need to visit an AMP you'll have to make a 3 hour drive to the Seattle area or take a longer trip to SF.

VanWGo the protocol for a HV bus stop pickup is to slow way down and make eye contact with the SW, check in front of you and behind you for LE, then very slowly turn right onto 20th Place and stop; pulling over to the curb if possible. If the SW doesn't follow you or if a car is behind you acting pissed off because you stopped, turn left into the Key Bank parking lot a few feet ahead and the SW may approach you there. If not; park at Key Bank, get out of the car and go to her on foot. Parking for the date you'll want to go south past Jefferson Street or north to the industrial area (past Thurman).

If it's true that LE is going to stop prosecuting prostitution offenses, we can expect to see more girls on the street and therefore they'll have to be more competitive, perhaps driving down prices and sexing up the attire. Like TCJ, I made a drive this afternoon, had some extra time 2:30 - 4. Made a mistake and did not hit the ATM first. Drove up Burnside saw one SW near FV (on Burnside), 40ish dark complex, short hair and a little worn. At the bus stop by Freddies was a blond, maybe a 6, conspiciously waved - made me feel a little uncomfortable, but think she was legit - I turned the corner and watched in the mirror - she did not follow.

Driving down Sandy toward the other FV saw another gal working, I think oriental, around 20th again 40ish - she looked kind of rough.

Over to 82nd drove down to Foster and turned around. It was a bad time, school had just gotten out and the sidewalks were packed - could not see distinguish anyone from the other. Came back north from Foster. Just north of Halsey, a SW with an umbrella on the corner - real pretty smile, I think early 20's - would like to see her when I had some cash (mistake one not going to ATM).

Stopped at DQ and made eye contact with a tall thin girl as I pulled in - she was all legs. It was raining hard, and when I pulled into a space, she jumped in the car - we talked for a few minutes but did not have a number. She was early 20's but even with the blue hair - very nice.

Left there and drove back to Sandy headed east. Saw one walking on the other side of the street that looked really good - turned around and finally caught up to her where I was coming out of a side street when she was crossing - I rolled down the window and she came over and asked if I wanted company - this is the one I am kicking myself on - mid 20's a solid 10, sexy voice - nicest I have seen in my short time hobbying. I told her not now, but asked for a number - she just walked off and I did not want to chase her down the street - although I was tempted. Feel she may have been new to the street.

The next few months should be quite interesting. Legislatures are attempting to show evidence now (and maintain credibility) by following through with cuts and thus demonstrating the “sky falling” as the direct result of the “failure” of Measure 28. Government painted themselves into a corner where they actually have to ‘shoot the dog.’

Given that, Prostitution is a victimless crime. Government will forgo prosecuting in favor of showing evidence of increased crime in the form of ignoring prostitution. Thus, more SW on the street. If LE had to ignore a crime that would not have any serious impact on the livelihood of people, prostitution in my opinion would be the better of several evils in their eyes.

To many people (especially women) prostitution is ugly. Head to head, Street Prostitution VS. Auto Thefts, Street Prostitution VS. Rape, Street Prostitution VS Armed Robbery… Street Prostitution is more visible (and eye catching) and the more desirable compared to the alternative.

I do not thing prostitution will be ignored all together. Sting operations do bring in a considerable amount of money as I have heard that these endeavors bring in about $700 a pop. I think these dollars are forecasted for in city budgets, similar to lottery proceeds. I do not think there will be any arrests, instead a patty wagon with some officer handing out citations and immediately releasing violators. Since all of us know the MO of these, this should not be a problem for us.

With this “desired” increase in prostitution, LE essentially establishes a new plateau. This year will be dedicated toward making cuts and demonstrating the “effects” of these cuts. Sort of a “You asked for it” kind of approach. This also takes some of the heat off of Vera Katz… “what more can I do… my hands are tied!” kind of thing.

Lets just say theoretically, they release all the prostitutes from jail and you stop most prosecution for prostitution related offences. This results in a 800% increase in SW activity on the streets of Portland for 2003 – 2004. Then 2004 – 2005 they decide “crackdown.” Cutting the “prostitution problem” by 25% sounds bad but since you are dealing with a cut in crime… you are seeing approximately a 600% increase compared to 2002 levels.

So instead of seeing 3 SW in Portland dressed in pants, you will see around 20 on a given night… half in miniskirts. Sounds like early 90’s levels! The kind Father is very correct… competition will lower prices.

In addition to the aftermath of Measure 28, OLCC just made it impossible for strippers 18 – 20 to get a job at a strip joint… so I hear. Unemployed strippers will displace these women into other areas of the sex industry including street prostitution. Since many businesses only have ‘so many openings’ this will displace these entertainers.

In summary 2003 is bound to be a great year for us.

· Failure of Measure 28, resulting in the release of several prostitutes.
· Failure of Measure 28, resulting in cutbacks in LE and likely the decriminalization of prostitution.
· OLCC imposed policy essentially throwing 18 – 20 year old strippers out of bars, thus sending these girls elsewhere.
· A gay bathhouse going into the Hollywood District – although not beneficial to us directly, however will probably attract SW to the area.
· Recession and 7% unemployment.

I understand that up here in Washington there is a lot of checking to ensure such activities do not take place and my understanding is that there is no place up here that it is happening (if I have missed something I would like to know about it). I would advise anyone meeting LRR to check her ID. While I would not be suprised to hear she was 22 years old, I also would not be suprised if she was only 14 or 15. Anyway, that brings up a good question for the forum: how do you rate each stroll in terms of safety? Consider the quality of SWs, LE presence, and proximity of fairly safe places to park.

I think NE Sandy is the safest. Since those two adult businesses closed down, LE presence has decreased, and there are quiet neighborhood streets nearby to park on as well as some discrete parking lots. I also think a lot of the SWs are part-timers who live in neighborhood apartments. For that same reason I rate West Burnside past 15th as the 2nd safest stroll.

82nd is 3rd safest, LE is heavier there, parking is less discrete and the SWs are a mixture of neighborhood girls and cheap hotel transients.

MLK and lower Burnside (between NE Sandy & the west park blocks) are almost equally the most dangerous, with Burnside being slightly safer since it isn't in "gangsta" territory.

Thank you Father for the great thread idea of rating the strolls. Here my top five and bottom two.
Top Five!:
1) Sandy from 82nd to 60th. Always had good luck and few LE. Lots of places to park in that end of town. Can be slow sometimes.
2) Sandy from 15th to 30th. Nice pickins, few crack ho's but mostly SW looking for a buck or two. LE present but not too thick, most on their way to lower Burnside.
3) 82nd between Stark and Division. SW's are girls fooking for cash to pay the rent or make ends meet. Lots of places to go from there to have a peacefull and undisturbed time. LE is alway cruisin through but rarly sit and wait.
4) Upper Burnside 15th to 23rd. This area is new for me, but have had great luck everytime. Lots of Quality on this stroll. LE, well its the thickest here of my picks. becareful!
5) 82nd from Halsey to Sandy. SW are a mix along here. Girls looking for Fathers comunion to girls making a living. LE is thick along here too. Still lots of places to go and park from there.

Bottom two and last resorts:
1) Sandy from Killingworth to 122nd. Herion HO heaven! Crack ho's too. This area has picked up in the winter months. Lots of cheep hotels and traffic during the day to keep the SW busy. Lots of LE to go with it. I cruise this area because its near work and always good for a laugh!
Lastly) ANYWHERE alng MLK. I agree with the Father on this stroll. Those SW will steal your wallet and anything else you have not tied down, and are more apt to have a brotha in the bushes to beat your ass too. I've only sunk to this stroll twice in the last six years when time were tough!

I know i misses some other great strolls, but these are my fav's. Anyone got better places to try??

Usually I would jump on a topic like this but a similar topic came up on the forum a couple of months ago and as usual I chimed in with a long winded response and I assumed that everyone treated the topic as answered (or not interesting.) It is nice to hear from you guys and your findings.

I agree with pretty much what everyone else has said on the forum. I strongly agree that MLK and West Burnside just west of the bridge is the absolute worst of the worst. I once had a flat tire at 3am in that part of town. Thank goodness I had a friend living around the corner so I could crash for the night and wait till daylight.

As far as LE goes, I would be careful of picking up women near the Grotto on 82nd and Sandy. I have seen cops (at daylight) parked at the top of the hill in the lot of the Grotto. I assume they do that at night as well. This includes the 7-11 lot. A reliable source has also informed me that there is a jackass who sometimes sits in that lot jotting down license plate numbers of people picking up SW. I have not seen him there lately. Cocksucker...

As for me right now my favorite stroll is not on the streets, rather in the booths. The topic of the board is geared mainly toward the activity in the streets so I have been relatively quiet. My fear is that you guys (and LE) will figure out who I am exactly by a process of elimination comparing the timeliness of my posts vs. the faces you see in FV. Therefore I have kept that aspect relatively quiet on the boards.

As long as you guys can tolerate the fags running around and giggling your doorknob every 2 minutes and winking at you in the hallways, FV is the ideal spot. You got cheep entertainment, soda pop, candy, good looking girls strolling the halls, cheep non rushed SW action, videos to watch, no fear of someone peeking in your window, low chance of robbery. The SW have a reputation to maintain, they are likely not to rip you off as they would have to find a new place to work. SW who work the FV historically know this is a place to work and do not want to jeopardize their opportunity to work there. This is the closest we will see as far as a brothel in Portland! Enjoy it while you can.

Always felt uncertain on who is actually a SW and who is not on the normal strolls, but the girls at FV, well, almost no doubt they are there for a reason, and we all know what that is. Plus, you lock the door and no one bothers you (except the door-knob jiggle). Have had some fun at other locations as well, without paying a dime! Fun times are happening at FV and other places like it. :-) Good to know when they are at FV - hate going in and nothing happening - except guys wanting guys. Anyway, I was out several hours last night. Saw no SW in FV so I retreated to the usual standby. I saw Allysa at 82nd and Powel, a few SW here and there on 82nd. None attractive enough or ones I have seen before. Ventured up Sandy toward Parkrose and there was a shitload of LE. Turned around, went down Sandy back toward Downtown.

I saw a couple of SW walking together near 33rd and Sandy. Pulled off. One looked hot from a distance, her partner looked strung out and had sort of a rode hard put away wet sort of appearance. The hot looking one was slightly heavy set, looked ½ black, huge knockers, nice lips, heavy makeup but insisted that she bring along her friend.

Did not pick them up… I have a hard time with having people I don’t know in my back seat. For all I know she could pull a weapon, take something or who knows. The friend was not that attractive, and the hotter looking SW did not look that great up close.

For those of you who like to visit the FV, please check out the following and tell me what you guys think. I am overly cautious when I am at FV. I am unsure what to make of the camera and surveillance situation.

Please look at the following holes in the wall and tell me what you think at FV. Hole in wall above booth 3 and booth 12. Also, please look at the hole in the wall to the left of booth 23 above the video game near the emergency light. There is also a camera I have never noticed before looking into the arcade at the entrance of the arcade area near the pop machines.

SW action has been non-existent the last few times I have been in there. The holes in the walls do not look new, but I am still somewhat concerned. If these are cameras, they are positioned in such a way that one could look down the hallway from the vantage point of the camera and see who is entering what rooms.

I have been there at times when I have heard the counter guys actually speaking into a mike, telling people in the halls to move along. I saw what looked like a intercom on the left side wall, as you enter in the main hallway, under the 'flying figure' -hanging from the ceiling. They have monitors at the front desk that have a spilt screen camera view, so they can see who is loitering etc. I think they just don't want people hanging out in the halls all day (or night) long, so they watch to see if they need to keep things moving. Saw a guy go from the counter after watching someone else playing with himself in the hallway, and head to the booth area to kick him out or get him moving along. Pretty sure those are the cameras you saw there (saw them myself tonight), but only used to monitor the halls, they monitor up front what they can't see in back. But no cameras are in the booths, so no way one can tell what is happeing in there, including any SW activity. All they see is a girl enter a booth, and a guy follow, or the other way around.

You were wonderfing about FV and security cameras... I was there last Saturday and saw the people at the front desk getting agitated and pointing at a screen next to the cash register. The deal is both registers have a security monitor screen on each side of them and the cameras cover all the hallways where the booths are. There was a couple (she was blond and I do not believe a SW) that were in a booth without putting money in or let it run out for a long time and then I gather switching booths. They eventually were 86'd from the place.

Tripod being a free website host has certain hourly bandwidth limitations. If you happen to stop by when the bandwidth limit has been exceeded, you'll not be able to access the site. Pictures are notorius for taking up a lot of bandwidth, especially if they're not fully compressed. Ok - tough one. But I wanted to jump in quickly before it gets too out of hand.

First of all, not all straights feel there is anything wrong with the sexual orientation of gays. Most of us are very tolerant, and we feel disappointed when someone slams a gay for simply being gay. We all know there are horrible examples of straight people just as there are extreme lifestyles (inappropriate in public) presented by gays. So - let's get past that.

I want to address the comments above - and edited the non-important stuff for that purpose.

The issue of health risk is as great for gays as it is for straights. To prejudice a position simply because of health reasons is indicative of the uninformed mind. Hopefully, the person who wrote the above will see the flaws in this particular kind of post.

The messages about high risk in terms of paycheck and "danger" is a good thing to know - but it is unfair and simply untrue to blame on the straights who are walking the halls looking for a girl. There are just as many gays doing the same thing for the same reason in the same hallways. Let's be sure not to ignore one so we can be prejudice about the other.

If I were the clerk who wrote this, I would feel every bit as angry as he does. I would simply consider writing to the board in a way that might lead to a better situation for all than to simply blast everyone for a few insensitive comments.

I was driving home last night around 1230am and spotted something strange, heres what i saw...I was headed onto town on Sandy from the airport, at the bingo bus stop was a girl waiting, I think that about 88th and Sandy. Looked interesting enough to circle the block and get a better look, so i did. I turned at the next availble street and got onto prescott, as i went to turn again onto 88th there was LE stopped behind to bingo building! Needless to say, I kept going! Looked like he was parked just behind the bingo building enough to hide out and keep an eye on the gal if she were to get picked up. I didnt see any other LE so I ruled out the possibality of a sting operation. Could I be wrong? A sting or LE just being sneaky?

Didnt see any other action on the drive down Sandy and didnt have the time to check out NW, but it looked like a slow night.

87th or 88th street is the road you are talking about I believe. It is also a logical place where a John would pick up a SW who was standing at that bus stop. Second only to the bingo lot. There is really nothing on that road of interest other than that fire station. Anyway, perhaps he was watching to see the reaction of the Johns who turn down that road or just sitting there writing down the license plate information of the Johns who make the turn for future use. I doubt it was a sting operation but it could be. Stings are not really that obvious as far as the positioning of cars. For those they usually utilize their unmarked vehicle fleet. This sort of tactic would not be effective. You alert everyone traveling eastbound as they pass looking, and anyone going westbound and turning down the road next to the fire station would obviously not pick her up.

If she had been a good looking SW, and had not blown your cover by passing him on 88th, and you did not have a vehicle that was too obvious, I might of come back a ½ hour later and checked things out again. Perhaps she jumped on a bus and went down the road westbound if she saw LE standing right there.

Stopped by the “juice bar” last night. Not much going on. Just a bunch of gays standing around and testing door knobs. I got out of there.

The reason it was raided was because it employed a minor. I heard firsthand that LE busted open the doors of the rooms while shows were going on and everyone had to show ID. Now imagine, doing this naked. It happened. I guess one of the customers was legally blind and thought it was a joke at the time, but it wasn't. Sorry for any confusion, the “Lost Decoy” and Teresa are two different people. As for decoys, they do not usually quote prices for “activities” unless you already crossed that threshold and they are trying just to confirm what you have already said. They would of arrested you had you reached that point. I do not believe you were dealing with a decoy but I could be wrong.

I have seen sting units up to 2 blocks away. There may have been LE in the area but you may not of looked in the right spot. Sure, if it was a decoy operation, you probably irritated them by stopping and talking, but did not do anything to warrant LE blowing their cover for a maybe conviction.

As for Stacy/Crystal she has been out for at least the last ten years consistently here in Portland. Back in the day she did have quite a body and ran with a good group of girls for a while. Been out of town for a bit. But made a drive yesterday. About 10 a.m. drove Sandy to Burnside , up to 23rd and then back down Everett. Saw two working, both closer to 82nd on Sandy. Other than that, did not see any activity. About 2 p.m., I made the drive again, starting near 405, up Burnside and again down Everett. Nothing on Burnside. Turned on 19th and between Everett and Couch, saw a fairly good looking SW sitting on the church steps. As I drove by she stood up to see if I was stopping. Again, went across Sandy and then down 82nd to Foster. I stopped counting after 10 - I would rate them from 3 to 7. MLK is just a few blocks from your hotel but is a one-way street southbound in that area. To cruise the MLK stroll you have to head north on Grand Avenue, which is one block over from MLK; stay in the second lane from the left. Grand turns into MLK. The "stroll" begins shortly past Fremont Street and goes about two miles, up to Lombard. The area is in transition and is most dangerous around the Safeway supermarket. I strongly discourage crusing this stroll.

Instead, you should head south on MLK and take a right on Burnside. Go over the bridge to the west side. You'll see some activity immediately after the bridge for a few blocks, then again between west 16th and 23rd Ave. The street numbers get bigger as you head west or east from the river.

If you don't see anything good on Burnside, head back over the bridge and stay in the left lane. At the fork in the road, go left up Sandy Blvd. That is another stroll. Commander of Clits, there are a lot of motels that will meet your needs. On lower east Burnside between about 8th and 10th Avenue, there are two of them right across the street from each other. ThriftLodge and Travel Inn are the names, I think. The area normally has heavy SW presence and there is a convenience store nearby for supplies. A few blocks to the east on the north side of Sandy Blvd. is another cheap motel, used to be called the City Center Inn or something, the name may have changed. It's right behind a bus stop which SWs frequently use to pretend they are waiting for a bus. However, the SW traffic on Burnside is usually heavier.

Unfortunately there are no motels on the higher quality west Burnside stroll.

82nd Avenue is full of cheap motels. Try the ones just south of Sandy Blvd. or the Unicorn Inn near Powell. There should be a good amount of SW activity at both locations and of higher quality than the east Burnside area.

If you've done this before then you are probably aware that these are not "nice neighborhoods" and are the kind of motels where you will run into Jerry Springer Show types of people. Convicts on the run, meth cooks, etc.

Also try the States Motel on 82nd on the North Side of the stroll. There are sometimes SW walking South of the States to the Plaid Pantry and sometimes beyond clear to Montivilla Park (Glisan) and further.

I would avoid the Rodeway Inn on 82nd, the Unicorn, and the hotel behind the 7-11 on 82nd and Powell. These hotels (from what I can recall) all have doors that require waking past a desk in order to get to your room. I recall the Unicorn having a no Prostitution sign on their front door. You may try the “Prestige Inn” on about 115th and NE Sandy. Don't let the name fool you. They do have XXX movies but the selection is quite aged and there is only one XXX station to choose from. ClitCommander, I caution you about your 24-hour approach. In regards to my inquiry, thank you all for the iformative post. First of all, if and when I do engage in a prolonged fury of fucking, I usually solicit the SW with a first installment of cash and later, if everything goes as planned, give her the remaining sum at the end of the session.
