Well, actually they do call it pooning (they also call it the hobby), but that's only the polite folks. I've been doing it for years, but as I said, I'm new to the SW scene. No LE here, but not sure what I can do to convince you otherwise. I have a different handle on the poon boards which is why I said you'd recognize it. I'm trying to keep the two worlds seperate hence a new handle here, although a hint would be that my other handle is somewhat synonymous with this one.
I read through all the old info/pics here to try to get up to speed with what goes on here and also I like naughty pictures.

I had an account here years ago but had no idea what the login was anymore so started anew because this is pretty much the only place there's any info on the street scene which I only in the last months have had the nerve to explore.
I've met Kitty, I've met the girl with the scar on her face (who says she got it from a monger), I've met Rain, I've met Leggs, Asian Nikki (warned you about her below) a couple others if that helps with the confidence factor. I mean really, most posters recently have few posts too. The guys I rely on for good beta are guys like Civ and quackman who I know from the other places.
Sorry if my blog got me off on the wrong foot. I had just been thinking about stuff and trying to figure out how to do the street thing safely. Right now I'm kinda freaked out about picking anyone up after a close call, but was just hoping for some insight. Perhaps with time I'll be able to prove myself as trustworthy.

I managed to get away from my duties and get out for a couple of hours, went down to Hostess/AAA and there was hardly any traffic out. I saw three girls I'd not ever seen before over by Hostess, a short, fat AA girl who looked about 30 and a tall but out of shape blonde dressed revealingly in a tight tan/brown dress and nice boots. She had a belly which made her look pregnant. They looked out of place, as if they were up from Vegas or LA. I picked up a tall AA girl with dreadlocks named Tina, I saw that she was older than I liked when she got in. She said that she was 100% internet girl but things were too slow so she had to come out and walk. She also asked for $200 but then followed up by saying that she gives it her all for the right price. This is not a good sign, so I put her back where I found her.
Nobody in AAA but the church ladies and two girls, one heavy brunette white girl from Back Page named Tekeyla (pronounced tequila) and a heavier black girl named Keyera. When I pulled over near the church ladies, both girls walked very casually up to either side of my vehicle and they asked which one I wanted. I chose Keyiera and off we went. Had a nice time and she is very nice and easy going. I was told later on the way back that the police have not been active in downtown lately and that the girls are starting to come out again. She said that the police pull up and tell them to go home, no ID check or questioning. She said that this was why her and Tekeyla were so causual when they approached me. She also told me that all the known girls tried to start two new strolls but they both failed, this is the second time that I've heard this.
I don't think Silver is LE. So what, he asked what the difference was between pooning and mongering? Not exactly stuff that can get you busted.
But back on point: Street pooning/mongering is always dangerous. For example, you can do everything right and the SW might drop a rock in your car. Bam.......you're a convicted felon and your car belongs to the city.

Interesting the post below quoting the girls as saying that LE is not so harsh at the moment downtown. I've seen lots of LE activity up north. Like I said, watch out for unmarked cars.

The best way to prove yourself is to give good, current phone numbers ladies who wanna get it on to senior members. Me personally, I only share my top shelf finds with dudes who regularly supply me with info. And a girl I don't plan on seeing again, or am not that interested in, I give her number to everyone.
I am surprised it took so long for the police to change their priorities. The city budget has probably taken a hard hit. I assume things will start to improve out there.

I've been at this for more than a couple of decades and I've often wondered what nicknames the cops have for the regular mongers, just like we do for the girls. I remember a few years back there were three different girls out there that looked like Tom Petty. I had them aptly named and numbered one through three in my head and I'd mentally greet them as I drove by: "Yikes, not tonight Tom3". I'd be willing to bet any names the cops have for us aren't nearly as whimsical.
I've been at this for more than a couple of decades and I've often wondered what nicknames the cops have for the regular mongers, just like we do for the girls.If that's true, then probably my handle is "Window Shopper" because I'm so picky. I'd like to think I've been careful, but there have been times, years ago, when I ran the strolls too many times. Now I vary my swoops to appear more random. I don't know if it makes any difference though. The cops are just like us mongers, except they're paid to watch us and the SWs. I'm sure it's a source of grim amusement for them--they're human, after all.
Regarding an earlier subject, it's unfair to imply that Silver Wraith is LE or some kind of stalker--If you have any substantial evidence, present it, I say. I myself post some pretty sad (vague) reports. My AMP reports are way more useful, according to kind PMs I've received. I'm probably Seattle's worst street monger. More of an observer.
Regarding an even earlier subject, and directed to the Wraith himself, yes, the street scene waxes and wanes, mostly according political tides. Our Birkenstock-clad mayoral cyclist had to fill out the feminist anti-prostitution credential on his resume, and now he'll be on to a composting drive or some such.

They can only search your car if they have probable cause. So do not give them that. I gave them probable cause once (small thing really) and they did not hesitate to search. They did not find anything but. Other times I have not given permission and I will not give permission. They certainly will look in as well as they can. My suggestion is keep your car door closed as much as possible.

I do the occasional late afternoon cruise, but not often.
Usually I'm north and have many good reasons to be there other than looking for fun. Still, I wonder if they have noticed. I sure notice other mongers sometimes but have learned by observing some of them how NOT to behave while looking around.

Really? I was specific about who I have seen, who I have seen out working, who I kicked to the curb. I'm not sure how specific you want me to be, but isn't it wiser to be more discreet in light of the fact that some reading here would prefer us all to go away?

Chanel was on my no-fly list a couple of years ago, but she has come down in price, and up in service and personality since. She used to be impersonal and mechanical. Perfunctory. Now she's pretty personable and seems to get into it more, but as much as I enjoy those boobs and as hard as she tries she rarely seems to get me across the finish line. I really doubt the cops give a care about us...I haven't been stopped in years and I'm on the strolls at least 2-3 times a week, if nothing else just to see what's out there. If an officer wants to advance in the SPD, harassing Johns is probably not the most productive way ;-). I think they only crack down when there are neighbor complaints and the crackdown is very localized to that neighborhood. Two weeks later it's pretty much back to normal.

Denny stroll hasn't been too bad as of late. Recent sightings of goth Alison and Suzie is out almost every evening. Occasionally I'll see Special. Got digits for this cute short redhead who I also see on Aurora but haven't done the deal yet.

Met a cute blonde down by the hostess stroll named Molly. Blonde nice enough body, nice girl. Gave me digits but it's to a messaging service, said call and just name a time and place. I would repeat. I was just going through the area late last week and happened upon a nice black-haired girl all made up somewhere just north of 85th. I only pulled over around the block to get a closer look at her and maybe her number and that's all as I had to be somewhere. She went by the name of Kitty but also said she's known as Kat. She wasn't really what I was into so I declined to get her number and she asked me if I could give her a ride further down Aurora. On the way she admitted to me that she was diagnosed with hepatitis see while she was in prison and that she also was a frequent needle user to shoot heroin. This is a report about a bad experience I had late Saturday in AAA / Hostess area. I want you guys to know who the girls were and what happened. It's important that you avoid these girls.
I don't get out much but swung through the Hostess / AAA area late Saturday for just a quick peek and came upon two girls walking together. One girl was a slightly thick BSW who looked familiar but I couldn't place her, the other was a bleached-blonde thicker SW who I'd never seen before. I wasn't sure that I was going to pull over because I was just window shopping but impulse took over. I hit the unlock button so I could let the BSW in but both girls jumped in at the same time. Not wanting to debate with two hookers on a hooker stroll, I drove away but immediately told both girls that I don't pick up two girls at the same time because it's not a safe situation for me. They were both calm and relaxed and told me that I had nothing to worry about. The BSW told me that her name was Mya and I told her that she looked familiar but that maybe it had been a couple of years. She said that she knew me from somewhere but I don't remember ever dating her. I date infrequently so I think that I would have. She rattled off some names of a few girls from over the last few years who were known and good. She told me that Nicole was just starting and that she was training her. She was not very attractive up close and is not someone I would have chosen. She sat quietly in the back.
I told both of them again that I don't pickup more than one girl at a time. Mya asked me what I wanted to do and then asked me if I had $200. I sheepishly told the girls that I was sorry, but there was nothing to take out and so nothing to give. I began taking them back and they were very quiet. Suddenly Mya told me that she was upset that I wasn't going to give them any money and that I was cheating them. I stayed calm and told her again that I was very sorry. She began to yell at me and told me that I was going to give her something or I was going to get a beating. I was concerned but stayed calm. I asked her if she wanted me to pull over and let her out, but she screamed at me that she was going to fuck me up. I tried calmly reasoning with her but it wasn't getting through. Then Nicole told me to empty out my pockets. I looked at her in the mirror and flatly told her no. I kept driving and stayed calm, but Mya was screaming threats at me the entire way back.
I got back to the area and pulled over. Neither of them would get out. They both opened their doors and sat there yelling at me. They were telling me to empty my pockets and tried opening the glove box, which I reached over and immediately shut. She really didn't like that and told me that she was calling someone to come over to me. She also put her hand in her purse and pulled out what looked like mace. I didn't know what else to do, we were sitting on the stroll and they were making a big scene. I told both of them that if they threatened me with violence one more time and refused to get out of my ride that I was going to call the police and press charges. Mya told me that I wasn't going to call the police and admit that I picked up two hookers and that I'd be stupid. I told her that I would and that I meant it. I was beginning to fear for my safety and I would do whatever it takes, even looking dumb to the cops. Mya responded by very quickly reaching over and pulling my keys out of the ignition and taking off out of the car. I don't know what came over me, but I bounded out of the car and after her as fast as I could. She was wearing boots and not able to run very fast so I caught up with her quickly. She seemed stunned that I ran after her, so she threw my keys in the opposite direction. I ran after the keys and back to the car. All of this happened in front of a million people who sat there and looked on. I didn't feel stupid as much as I felt relieved, but I got the hell out of there immediately.
The big mistake I made was not insisting on sticking to my personal rule of not allowing two girls who I didn't know into the car at the same time. My second mistake was not insisting that one or both of them get out and move on before we got into other discussions once they were in the car. My third mistake was not making the deposit and not having money, but that to me was an honest mistake. The fourth mistake was getting out of the car and running after Mya. I didn't actually think about it and I did it purely out of protective instinct, but it was a stupid thing to do. Doing something like that draws the police and it makes me look like the bad guy. I don't care what anyone says, if a hooker makes herself look as though she's trying to get away and plays victim, the cops are going to take her side right away. I had a much better chance of calling the police myself or better yet driving right to the precinct. She also could have maced the hell out of me or worse, pulled out a gun and shot me claiming self-defense.
What would you guys have done?

Yeah, sorry to hear about that bad experience CC, it sounds like a nightmare. Like CDude said, I rarely pick up BSW for that very reason, most of my bad experiences in the past have been with them. The only other thing I do differently is I don't ever pick up a SW unless I have the funds already. I don't like leaving them in the car while I go to a cash machine, plus they always act like I could give them extra since all I would have to do is withdraw an extra twenty. So, even if I see the perfect girl, I'll hit up the nearest cash machine first, if I don't already have the money. If you had done this, you could have said something like: "well here's ten dollars for you trouble" and she probably would have been okay with it.

Made a quick loop through DP / 9th / Westlake during afternoon commute yesterday. I've been a little bit stir crazy as of late and decided to step out to see what was out there. I've been out of action for awhile, so I've read last six month or so worth of posts. " This is going to sound funny but I need to prep and get into right frame of mind to go out. Part of my prepping process includes cleaning out my car, nothing with my address or I'd that could lead them back to my house. I remember few years back I had my day's mail in my back seat and she wanted to know it she can have the Redplum coupon pages as she was about to go shopping the next day. After the fact, I realized that my address was on it. One other benefit is after your trek, you can easily see if she left anything in the car.
Along with locking my glove box, I make sure I have right amount of money and I always have a fiver clipped on my visor for such an occasion like yours. If it gets nasty, I usually say, "I'm tired of this, I'll give you what I got" and I will toss out the five out of the passenger's side window. I've never had a girl who didn't immediately jump out. I fold the money in a way where you can't see the denomination and with a paper clip it's easily tossable. Make sure your window is down, you're in a decently lit area and you have a clear path forward before you toss it. She has to actually see the bill on the ground, thus the lit area and by the time she unrolls it and finds a five, you're long gone. While it shouldn't cost you anything, a Lincoln is a small price to pay for getting yourself out of a sticky situation.
I've few other steps I like to take and that is what I mean about getting in the right frame of mind. I glad all ended well but you have to realize that it could have been very ugly, too.

Sorry to hear that your date went bad. You asked for some advice as to what you maybe could have done differently.
1) never go to an ATM with a SW'are. You didn't say you went to an ATM, but I am guessing that after the little head took over that you went to one to get funds.
2) have your car ready to go before you head into a stroll. I always stop before heading in and put as much stuff in the trunk as possible. After years of readying ipods, garage door openers, loose change being stolen I have gotten into a habit of cleaning out all items.
3) 2 girl date. Not so much. I have had good success over the years with 2. Some have been training sessions, so have been double dates. For me the key is to have the funds I want to play with + 20 or 30 extra. I usually go with just a BJ on a date, but if I want to upgrade to FS I can. If I get 2, then I just state that I have X for a BJ and and extra 20 spot for gas and dinner and that is it. Take it or leave it. If you're in the area, make the drive between downtown White Center and Ambaum to about Ambaum & 156th. I'm starting to see a few out there regularly. Don't make a special trip though, it's really hit or miss. Only if you're in the neighborhood.136th and Ambaum (the AM / PM) is usually the busiest spot, with 106 to about 120th being the second busiest. You can generally find one in White Center but she / they are usually gross.

Now, you could cruise for 3 hours on weekend nights and perhaps only see 4 or 5 girls and not a single one of them regulars, except perhaps an occaisional Daisy Brown sighting. I read in a news story that NONE of the UA "prostitutes" were actually working on the Street. It did not even seem to indicate that they were working on Craigslist (or any of the replacements fo CL listings) .
I am venturing a guess that either they were "working" for drug dealers, or in drug houses (where the SPD has caught UA providers "working" before) . Or possibly a more sophisticated "ring" that provides "special" providers for $$$$pecial Clients. It is also possible that the UA providers were foreign born. However, that last guess would be at odds with Media "reports" that many of these UA providers had been recruited at the Westlake Center?

How about a link to the report? And I would beg to differ, I think the city has been highly successful in shutting down the AAA. Eight years ago, the stroll was active 24 hours a day. 7 days a week. You could roll through at noon on a Tuesday and see 8-10 hotties working. Then it became a Fri / Sat night only stroll from about 10 pm to 3 am, but still plenty of girls. Now, you could cruise for 3 hours on weekend nights and perhaps only see 4 or 5 girls and not a single one of them regulars, except perhaps an occaisional Daisy Brown sighting. Before, you were assured of seeing KristinawithaK, Victoria, SweetAshley, Miss Monica Foxxx, Raine, Darla Anne, Chanel, and a host of other regulars who showed up everynight like clockwork. After skimming the report, I had the impression the city was concurned over the amount of money driving around and around looking for SW. Back to my claims of reading reports. I read a report last February or April where the city was doing a little braging about it's success in shutting down the AAA. But by September SW were in the range of 20 or so. So the city was doing some brain storming to access why SW came back to AAA in September. They atributted it to demand.
Our primary founder, Doc Maynard was marginally successful in embedding prostution into Seattle's economy. In compairing the quanity and quality of SW between Seattle and many citys in the mid-west. It seems as through some of Doc Maynard is still here in Seattle. You know I'm kind of of an outsider looking in, but I think there may have been thousands of workers over the years that either stayed in, or migraded to Seattle's ecconomy motivated by the availability of SW here.

I read in a news story that NONE of the UA "prostitutes" were actually working on the Street. It did not even seem to indicate that they were working on Craigslist (or any of the replacements fo CL listings) .
I am venturing a guess that either they were "working" for drug dealers, or in drug houses (where the SPD has caught UA providers "working" before) . Now, it does seem that lately Everett is better than anything further south but it also is slower than it used to be.
Examples. South Tacoma Way from Ponders to almost 38th. This used to be hopping now there is no one. A very occasional find in Ponders or near the 7-11 on 56th but you could spend all day and night out there and not see anyone. Hosmer in Tacoma. Maybe could find someone there on the rare occasion (not as bad is S. Tac Way but bad). Even Pacific which may be the best left in Tacoma is fairly rare for the past 6 months to a year. Tacoma Ave where you used to see 10 girls from 25th to 4th. Now you are lucky to see 1 in several passes. 25th Ave and Puyallup Ave. This place was dried up for a long time but now late at night you might find 1 to 3.
And that is just Tacoma. And all this is not in the past year or two years but has been on the decline for 5 to 10 years at least.
I know in Tacoma a couple of years ago on Pacific Ave a lot of business owners made a lot of complaints and the police stepped up there enforcement.
I just do not think it is a recent thing caused by the FBI being in town.

I fully agree. Tacoma was Rocking in the 80's, but from some point in the 90's till now has really been a steady decline. Same with Seattle. As I was reading the last few posts about the 90's. I remember those days well. I was out a lot.
Still, if I go out and spend enough time at it I am not disappointed. But there are three cities around I find much better than the Everett to Tacoma run. They are Vancouver (which is not nearly what it was 5 years ago but is still way better than Seattle area) , Spokane (there is more action in a small area of Spokane than there usually is from Everett to Tacoma on a given night) , and Portland. In any of those three cities if I am serious I can get taken care of about three times in a night. That is usually my limit.
The same thing could happen in the Seattle area but that is a rare night and the LE presence is almost always a pain. I have not been to any of those fine cities for a time. I was hoping to get to Vancouver last weekend but had to work on Saturday and that messed up my plans. Maybe soon or maybe a run to Portland. Up in the CD, you can often find them on 23rd from Pike Street to about Jackson, mostly on Yesler though between ML King and 19th. About 95% black streetwalkers. Make sure you take them well out of the CD unless you want to get jacked. Another spot is on Madison from 23rd to 19th. Just drunk driving.I have some experience with this. Usually, Canada prefers that you wait 7 years after a DUI conviction before attempting to cross into the country. However, there are waivers which you can get through the Canadian Consulate which you can fill out and submit for approval. The problem is that the waiver has to go all the way to Ottawa to be approved by some government ministry and the process can take a while. There is a Canadian consulate here in Seattle, go their website and maybe give them a call to see if the process has changed.
Canada does not care about drug convictions. Regarding violence, it used to be that assault was treated as a felony in Canada and was a very big deal. I'm not sure how it is now. Anything regarding convictions involving firearms are also treated very seriously up there. I'm not sure about anything involving prostitution. I'd apply for a passport and use that instead of applying for the enhanced driver's license. The process with the license can take hours and they will check into your background, if anything comes up dirty you've wasted your time. You can get a passport within two weeks and if it's issued to you then you are in good shape.

1. Why do they so frequently stroll in areas where there's absolutely no discreet way or place to get their attention or pick them up?
2. Why do they always wear pants? Wouldn't skirts or dresses make everyone's lives easier? They wouldn't have to be obvious or slutty looking, just something that allows easier access than the usual tight jeans? Seems this is the norm in some places, perhaps it's just a climate / comfort thing, or perhaps it's to discourage FS as they'd just rather do quick BJ's and get on to the next one?
