Hello all. I am the big bad monger. I am not new to mongering, but I am new to the Forum. Anyway to the good stuff. First off I have to mention the Aloha Spa in Stamford CT. I was in Manhattan this past weekend on vacation. I really love going to your fine city. Wish I could do it more often. Last year I talked to a SW around 6th and 45th, just by accident. This year I went out looking.
I concentrated in the Lex and 26-30th area. Friday night I had no luck. Saturday I ran into atleast 3 definite SWs. This was between 2-4 Sunday morning. Here's the long story.

Don't forget the Central Park South stroll, starting around the Plaza Hotel, heading West to Sixth Ave, then down to 54th or 55th and again West to Flashdancers. If you're as lazy as I am, just hang around the corner of 55th & Sixth Ave, where you'll see women driving in their cars who will stop for you.
Hanging out in the Oak Bar at the Plaza makes sense as well, after 11 PM or so, as the tourists, and commuters will have left by then - usually. You get some women coming in and hanging out at the bar, or you can look out the big windows and see whats strolling by.
Saturday night is low on pros, as many couples go out, nurses etc, so the competition for guys is fierce and pros dont mess with that. Sunday night you actually get some good pickings as pros think that out of town guys arrive on Sunday afternoon and are looking for company by night-time.
Hopefully as it gets warmer, the pickings will get better.

I got to Manhattan, thursday late at night, at 1 AM, till 3:AM.
Crusd around Lex and 26-30th area, more then a huor, but found nuting.

Monday night:
I checked both sides of town and nothing was to be had. I did not see anybody driving or walking. When I started this back in '77 I never imagined that we would be calling numbers of providers and going to undergound parties. Back then the city was wide open and girls were everywhere.The last two mayors have taken the sin out of sin city. I have thought about retiring but their is always a new and better provider. Has anyone here been to Spa 88 @ 88 Fulton St. downtown area in Manhattan? I was there the other day and just wanted to scout it out. It looks like it could be an FS spot but I'm not sure yet. I've tried driving around 6th Ave between 54-56th St but haven't seen anything. Is that the right area or am I just getting unlucky?

Try parking on 55th, off 6th, with-in 5 car lengths of the food cart. I think you'll see women cruise on by. Another idea is to go for a walk around CPS, down to 55th and have a seat, if its not too cold, on the wall on 55th and 6th near the food stand. The women will see you and wave or something.

These days it's hit or miss over in that area, back in the mid-1990's you couldn't miss and wouldn't want to, great quality in general, well dressed to fit into the area (Central Park South two blocks away), a real treat. Now it depends on the time and the day, later evening is better, I always found weekends to be best time, particularly Saturday evening, but that may have changed. My stroll started on Broadway and 59th, down Broadway to Flashdancers, which is just before 54th, I believe. The SW's hang out like vultures as you get close to Flashdancers, hoping to snag straggler guys coming out of the club frustrated and buzzed. That is hit or miss too, because LE knows of it and swings by frequently to break it up. Pass FlashDancers and turn left over to 7th Avenue, opposite direction (North) up one block and turn second right onto what I believe is 55th street and head over to sixth avenue. If you're driving, you can't do this, take 54th over, all one-ways and 55th goes the wrong way. Anyhow, over to sixth avenue and up to either 58th or 59th, turn right (59th is more compelling, but 58th has its share too, at times, and some nice quiet spots if you look hard). Repeat, with the caveat that again there will be some nights were you are completely wasting your time, and others where you will find that gold nugget which makes it all worthwhile. Other areas with lower quality but good hunting include the West Side, I'd say the area bordered by 9th & 10th Avenues, with 48th on the North end and 43rd on the South. There's also Lexington / Park avenues from 26th to 32nd streets, and the old reliable East Village stroll, low to mid quality but often very skilled, it's between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue, from St Mark's (8th Street) on up to 12th Street. Hit or miss, but will all these locations combined you are bound to do ok.

Dear Long Form:
I refer you to my long post on December 15, 2003 in the Manhattan 2003 section of WSG. Some good info there on some of the AMPs in Manhattan. I've enjoyed Han Yang Spa on several occasions and hope to go back soon.
I also refer you to my long post of Dec. 19, 2003 detailing my very negative experience at Ivy Spa, same block as Han Yand on West 32nd St. Don't go to Ivy, you'll be sorry!
Also scroll back several pages in this section for some posts about a place at 405 Broadway (I think that's the address).
Next to your post is a post by Rey describing a HJ-only AMP in the same neighborhood as Han Yang that might be worth checking out (don't know it).
Other than that, there's very little here on WSG about AMPs in any of the 5 boroughs of NYC - hard to believe for a city with 8 million people and a significant Asian population.

I hit the spot after 9 and things were quiet. The quality was not as good. I had one dance and called it a night.
I have visited 405 Broadway twice. The first time I took a relaxing steam and a shower and Wendy took me into a private room. I don't know if you already know this but if getting to NYC is a hassle why not try the many Korean spas around the greater Fort Lee area at the base of the GW bridge on the NJ side. Many offer decent massages + HJ for a nominal fee and tip.
The selection is much better with over 30 spas to choose from and amenities are overall more classy and diverse than NYC joints. They're scattered all over within 15 miles radius from the Main st/ Ft. Lee Korean enclave. I think they may be what other lurkers on this board have been looking for if they don't mind the short drive across the GW bridge.
If anyone is interested I'll post a list of the spas and some brief comments on what to expect.
A word on NYC AMPs:
Manhattan FS AMP scene has been withering since Juliani took office god knows how long ago. Crack down on crimes was one of his stock and trade and reflectingly he was quite successful in doing that. Strip joints, AMP, Queens Chica houses, SWs, etc, were all taking a beating big time and shrank exponentially in numbers over the years as a result. You can still get laid nowadays in your own neighborhood if you know where to look, but classified ads for AMPs like in the Village Voice will almost certainly get you closed down within 3-6 months. V.V. classifieds used to be more raunchy and explicit with exact street number, address and floor number and direction on how to get there. Now it's pretty sad they are mostly incalls with a cell number listed quoting sky high prices that a lot of mongers just don't bother anymore. Frankly, with occasional stories of "taking one for the team" in this forum I don't blame them.

Pretty much I saw the same things as Outworlder around 27/28th & Lex, though I didn't catch the girls in the purple Caravan. I did see Farah, her car was parked on 28th between Madison and Park, and she was on foot for a hot second but by the time I got around to her she was back in her car with a fellow monger following her. FYI, if you don't see her around there then try driving up to 30th and 2nd Ave because she'll sometimes take mongers there and also 41st and Park. Of course don't drive right up to her if its obvious that she's with one of our fellow mongers, just wait a block away till they're done or go back to 27/28th and Lex.
I also tried going to 54-56th and 6th Ave, but didn't see anything or attract any walkers who might have been in cars. Drove over to the 45-48th St area between 9th and 10th Ave, I saw Robin (wsw in the white GMC Jimmy) but she was with a monger. Besides Robin, I didn't see anything else around that area.
I gave Michelle (bsw in the grey/tan SUV usually around 27th and Lex), but she didn't pick, I assume she was with a monger. I didn't bother calling again. FYI, PM me if you want her number.
In a last ditched effort, I tried an area suggested to me by someone (sorry I forgot the name) on the board. I drove over to St.Mark's (8th St) between 2nd and 3rd Ave, but like he said it was hit or miss as I didn't see a damn thing except for one possible wsw but by the time I drove around the block she was nowhere to be found. So I called it a night and headed back home.
SATURDAY NIGHT:
I saw some of the same providers that were mentioned in the previous post. They were not too exciting compared to the talent of the past. Times have really changed and this night seems to prove it. I wound up on the west side with Vanessa but everything was quiet. Very disappointing for the biggest night of the week.

The Intercontinental down the street also has a great setup as you walk right to the elevators (about 30 feet) from the front door and the doorman/security is usually lounging in the bar area and doesnt hassle anyone.

I agree with you guys on this to a point. IMHO, nothing beats the Underground Parties (I'm hoping to attend 1 tomorrow), and the chase is often exciting concerning the sw's. Though Spanish (often caliente and passionate) and Black (with their great asses and full lips) women are my favorites and I like being with them on a daily basis if possible, I also have an occasional (every few months) taste for asian women due to their smooth, porcelain like skin, petite bodies, and long, soft, black shiny hair. Fellas, I have to tell you how dissappointed I am with my latest visit to your beautiful city.
I can't believe how I was striking out. First, I stayed in a rat infested hotel in mid-town. I got the place online and thought I had a great deal considering the locale.

DALLAS -- Men who pick up scantily clad women on street corners or other places around town may get a little more exposure than they bargained for.
The Dallas Police Department this week began posting on its Web site the pictures of so-called "Johns" arrested for soliciting prostitution. Names, birth dates and hometowns of the alleged offenders are also listed.
Dallas follows other cities such as Denver, St. Paul, Minn., and Raleigh, N.C., that use similar strategies for combatting the nagging problem of prostitution.
Some cities only publish the photos of those convicted, but the Dallas site posts photos of those arrested for prostitution-related offenses. Officials say photos will be promptly removed if charges are dropped or a defendant is found not guilty.
On the Dallas site, the photo gallery labeled "indecency related offenses" features a diverse catalog of men, many sitting in their vehicles, seat belts still strapped, photographed at the scene of their alleged crimes, which include prostitution, public lewdness and indecent exposure.
The site has gotten lots of traffic since it went up Monday, said Lt. John Dagen.
In the first 24 hours, the site had more than 4,100 hits, he said. During the next 24 hours, it got 7,000.
"We've had at least two females calling the office wanting to know how to get on the Web site because somebody told them their spouse was on there," Dagen said. "We're hoping that people will be afraid that their picture will show up."
In 2003, Dallas police made about 2,000 prostitution-related arrests, said Tammy Palomino, assistant city attorney. She said she researched what other cities were doing and came across the photo strategy.
"For as long as anyone can remember, prostitutes have always been the ones that people focus on. We're trying to do something a little different to combat it," Palomino said. "Putting the focus on the customer, hopefully we'll reduce the numbers."

That place is called PlayPen on 8th & 40th next to the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

This is my first posting. I have been reading the forums for a long time and have been mongering for years. I am surprised at the lack of helpful discussions in the New York/Manhattan forum on keeping prices reasonable and not overpaying. For example, the Columbus, OH forum is much better about this. I am amazed whenever I read a monger say "she said $60 for a CBJ, and I said hop in and off we went." A SW will ALWAYS quote you a higher price than she is prepared to accept. Never agree to the initial proposal. On the East Side track (Lex-Park between 27-32), you can get a CBJ from most of the providers (even the gorgeous ones) for $40. There are a couple who will not go for $40, so no need to bother with them. I just thought I would try to be helpful.
