Just went to the Wedge with my boy tonight. That place is not BACK!!!! It says grand opening on the front, but don't go in. I am by no means an expert on NY, being a Jersey kid and all, but I WAS working in the BX last night. Check out Tremont, around Crotona, jerome between about 187th and the GW bridge, and Castle Hill from Westchester to the end (Specifically near the PJ's on Randall.) Also on White Plains I saw some stuff in the past (just not last night.) Not sure what you are closer to, so just pointing out what I've seen in the most recent (last night) trip there. If I know where you're specifically looking, maybe I have noticed something there but forgetting currently.

Tremont and the Grand Concourse hasn't been much of a spot for several years. Jerome used to have a SW on almost every corner from 149th street up to the Moshulu Pkwy. Those days are long gone. Occasionally a very ugly SW can be seen in that stretch in Jerome. Especially around 149th street.
LE has been going strong against the SW for several years. They seem to have decided to leave the ugliest alone and harrass the good looking or passable SW. Fordham and Jerome used to be a good spot and it is almost dead, except for the he/shes. I guess the police don't want to arrest them all the time either.
Keep your eyes open as you travel East on Tremont, especially after Webster, and look more carefully as you get to Boston Road and even beyond for a few blocks.
