Besides the facts that I explained in my post below, there are other interesting points about you post that make it suspect:

I've been busy, but here's some information.

Call your wife and tell her you were there? Has anybody in this forum been convicted of anything based on the presence of their car in a parking lot of an MP? I am a black man, and just about evertime I stop at a light, and there is a cop behind me, I can see them calling in my license plate because of the car I drive. They want to make sure it is not stollen.

I know, I was supposedly taking a sabbatical. But a good few weeks in the stock market and a few other financial windfalls made me feel like celebrating.

This time I decided to go to Century and get a SW. This was my first time doing this... I am really paranoid of getting my car ripped off by the pigs. So I stick to MPs in cities outside Stinglewood usually.

So I did the circuit a few times, and ended up in the parking lot of some motel ... asian place near the Burger King. My plan was to get a room for a hour or two and walk out front and lure one in. Less visable and all.

So I walk up to the counter and ask the guy if they have rooms on an hourly rate and he says "no". I walk back to the car, and suddenly this face like a mud fence confronts me at my window saying lets go inside and get a room, we can get it for an hour. I tell her no, the guy said they don't do hourly (more as a way to get this person away from me and not draw attention) and she insists that yes they do, and if I go with her she'll give me "mexican sex". WTF?

Anyway, I ditched her and her pal (scarrrry couple, she was either Latina or a combination of Mexican, Eskimo and Samoan, and her friend was just old and creepy) and went down the street to Super 8 where I had seen a WSW with blonde hair out front.

I went in the office and asked again about hourly.. nope. So I got a room for the normal rate and went out front to find my WSW.

3 or 4 years ago I saw a car stop in front of my house, a man got out and walked up to my front porch. I went out to meet him. He was serving a summons for me to appear before a grand jury in downtown Los Angeles. The grand jury was investigating the late lamented "Swedish Spa" in Pomona. The only way they could have known who I was, was by recording my license plate number on my many visits to Swedish Spa.

It is true, they could not have charged me with anything or arrested me based on my having been to Swedish. But it did not stop them from forcing me to go to the grand jury to be questioned about what I knew about activites going on there.

Luckily my wife never found out, but it could have been really embarrassing if she had answered the door for the summons rather than me being fortunate enough to be at home and going out to greet the summons presenter.

Of course, this hasn't stopped me from visiting other MPs. Life is a gamble after all.

Hello, gents. I'm a registered member of this site and have been a lurker for some time. Unfortunately, for the longest time I was unable to post messages due to compatibility issues between the old WSG software and my WebTV browser. With the software upgrades that Jackson has recently implemented, it appears that the problem has been resolved. Hurray!

I've been wanting to put my two cents in on several subjects discussed on this board:

1. Shadow and Melissa ( the OLD Melissa ) at Le Sun. Been with Shadow once and Melissa three times. Went "around the world" and finished up in cowgirl with both of them. Had a lengthy conversation with Shadow and found out that she graduated from the same high school as me. She even had some of the same teachers! Too bad she had to die :( . Melissa was a real sweetheart and seemed to genuinely enjoy her "work". I wish she'd come back.

2. To the poster who mentioned Sun Accupressure in Gardena- I was a regular customer there back in the early to mid-90's when it was still called Shiatsu Spa Center. As the years passed, the quality of the women there seemed to gradually decline, to the point where I eventually lost interest. Haven't been back since.

3. Nova Dreams Therapy on Manchester near Crenshaw- STAY AWAY! The first time I went there, I got so-so service from a 40-something Latina that was a 5 at best in the looks department. To make matters worse, they had loud Mariachi music blaring over a tinny PA system in there. Very irritating. Several months later, I decided to give this place one more chance. I had an attractive, pleasantly plump young Latina who did absolutely nothing. The massage itself was pitiful.

I have a feeling that that place COULD be a sting operation. Once while returning home late, I saw a Sherriff's black-and-white go swooping up to the front entrance. A few other times, I've spotted a plain white Crown Vic sitting in the alley behind the place. So consider yourself warned.

I think the thing to actually be afraid of is PICTURE TAKING AT INTERSECTIONS by HIDDEN CAMERAS (on lights, light poles, etc.!). Granted, if you are not doing anything "illegal" you have nothing to worry about, but then again, if you are even "attempting" (i.e. looking!) for anything "illegal" , then they already have a way to get you! Hello, this is the United States of America, and if, unlikely as it seems anyone is subpoenaed to appear before a Grand Jury looking into any aspect of our hobby, the only probable response is to say that you are invoking your 5th Amendment privilege and decline to answer any and all questions, even what is your name, you don't have to answer. That is your right as a citizen on the United States of America.

If they didn't charge you with anything before, I doubt that they have any grounds or evidence to do so. Dont be intimidated! If you don't assert your rights, you will lose them! They don't have the right to a "fishing expedition" at your expense!

I didn't mean to try scare people by posting about my grand jury experience. I think it is really uncommon to use a grand jury to close a MP. In the case of Swedish Spa, the powers that be had been trying to close that place for years. Finally they got this grand jury investigation where they told all the girls that lots of guys had admitted to paying them for sex but told the girls they would be granted immunity if they were completely honest in telling what went on there. They also told some of the girls that other girls had implicated them. They scared them in to cooperating fully. I knew one of the girls pretty well at the time and heard what the investigators were telling them. Then they contacted the guys and said they had videos and the girls testimony and that if you lied to them they would really go after you, but if you cooperated fully you would be granted immunity. The day I was there at the grand jury, some poor guy was so scared he was sweating and breathing rapidly. They know they don't really have the evidence, but they can be really good at scaring people in to cooperating.

Anyway, this has happened to me only once in many years of mongering, so I don't let it interfere.

1) The internet is not a factor, and therefore it does not make since to effectively close down this and other forums for fear that it is a factor in arrests and convictions; and

2) license plates of cars in a parking lot are not a factor.

To the extent that any of this was offered as evidence, the same people who were dumbe enough to be intimidated by tactics of the prosecution should have had lawyers who objected to hearsay or irrellevant evidence.

Redneck makes a good point (although it's hard to admit since I am a Black man, LOL). The big difference between having a picture taken by the infamous red-light cams, and having your license plat recorded, is that the former catches and films you performing an illegal act. It would be as if OJ had been filmed actually killing his ex-wife and the other guy. As for the latter, the there is no illegal act being recorded or filmed. Hell, they could have tape of you walking in, picking out a girl, and walking out afterwords. It would be the inbetween acts that would need to be filmed, and you still may have some defenses if you play your cards right: e.g. the tip was for the message, she likes to have sex separately at work with her customers. Of course, that would be a hard defense.

But fellas, please, don't let them intimidate you into testifying. Pleading the wonderful 5th Amendment to our Constitution would only be an admission to your wife if she finds out you are going downtown to testify for the day, but not an admission in the criminal justice system.

The subpeona only requires you to be available for testimony. You may even tell the prosecution beforehand that you are not going to sing any song. They might just forget about you, and go to the next sucker who does not have a good lawyer.

You are not allowed to have a lawyer by your side at a Grand Jury inquisition. You can have one outside the room and ask to consult with him/her after each question is asked of you, but they cannot be in the room with you. Like has been mentioned, you are best off to just plead the 5th (after consulting your lawyer after each question is asked of you that is.)

I don’t want to make a big thing of the issue of recording of license numbers. I basically agree with what several people have posted, that for someone to have a picture of your license in the parking lot of a MP proves nothing. In the EXTREMELY rare case where one might get called to a grand jury investigation because of a license plate number having been recorded in a parking lot, well this can be a problem because of wives, girl friends, bosses, etc., but legally it proves nothing.

Since I originally brought it up, I want to make some comments about the institution of the grand jury (GJ) itself. Webcams wrote about MPs ,“From Everything I hear, Most people don't really know what goes on in those places, . . . “. The same thing could be said about GJs, most people don’t really know what goes on there. It is not at all like a regular criminal or civil trial that one sees in movies or while on jury duty or as a participant, with lawyers arguing every issue, with elaborate rules for what can be admitted or not admitted, etc. In a GJ there are no defense lawyers at all, only someone asking questions, and they can ask anything they want! Someone else referred to the GJ as an inquisition. That is really what it is.

Marlowe wrote “They don’t have a right to a fishing expedition at your expense.” Unfortunately, legally that is EXACTLY the right they do have. The whole purpose of a GJ investigation is to extract information from usually unwilling participants. It IS a fishing expedition and as a person forced to testify, your rights are very limited.

Several people suggested to always plead the 5th. One can do that, but the people who operate GJs figured out that issue years ago. It is something called “immunity”. They produce a legally binding document which says that nothing you say in your testimony can be used against you in the future. So if none of your testimony can be used to incriminate you, then it makes no sense to say “I refuse to testify on the grounds that it may tend to incriminate me” and one is not permitted to both accept the grant of immunity and to plead the fifth. Of course you can refuse to sign the grant of immunity and then plead the 5th, but what would be the point? Usually the prosecutors have no desire to ever charge the people who are called to testify to the GJ. In this case, the girls and the johns were the small fry. The prosecutors only wanted to use them to obtain evidence against the primary target, the MP owner.

Once one has accepted the grant of immunity, there is still the possibility to answer the questions truthfully or to lie. Why would anyone want to lie, since they have been granted immunity? A. The proceedings are supposed to be completely secret, but if you were testifying against, for example, a mob boss, would you want to take a chance on the secrecy? B. The proceedings are secret at the time, but if the prosecutor decided to use the evidence collected by the GJ to file criminal charges against the target (the MP owner), then the same people who testified at the GJ might be called back to testify at the criminal trial. If one provided really good evidence during the GJ, the chances are high they would be called back to the regular criminal trial. Obviously many of the girls and the johns would like to avoid being called to testify about this in open court.

So why not just deny everything to avoid the possibility of later being called to appear at a criminal trial? Because then there is the possibility of being charged with perjury which can lead to really severe penalties. Even if one had initially done nothing illegal they can still end up in deep shit if they are convicted of perjury.

Several people have also posted about not answering anything without a lawyer. What Hapshida said was also what I found. A lawyer cannot go in to the inquisition chamber with you at a GJ. I actually paid an initial fee to one lawyer for advice. He was like something out of a horror movie and only tried to scare me in to thinking I would be a fool to go there without him. He wanted $2500.00 just to accompany me and sit outside the chamber. Another lawyer, a Beverly Hills lawyer at that, explained to me much of what I have written about the GJ above. Fortunately I did not have to pay his fees.

I apologize for the long post, which is kind of off the main topic, but since it relates to our hobby I hope it is OK.

It's inviting trouble. After all, you don't leave your car stereo key

Respectfully, are you suggesting that we park down the street from the MP? So you park down the street, and walk up to the MP.

A couple of things wrong with this. First of all, if the MP does not know you well, this just seems strange, and mamasan will probably not be so accomidating util she knows you.

2nd, in the areas where some of these MPs are located, you might be taking your life, and your car, in danager if you don't park in the lot. For example, at LS, there are guards, and they are really cool, and take care of your car for you. I got to know me pretty well, and I fond memories of hanging out in the parking lot a little bit with the guards, Shadow, and Jasmine.

I even went there once when the police where there. The were filling out some kind of report (regarding a theft or trouble in the neigborhood). They were not there to hastle the girls or the mongers.

I respect your opinion Roman, but your idea is a bit impractical. Again, a license plate number taken in a parking lot can not be used to charge or convict anybody ligitemately. I will comment on Aizen's post in another post.

Aizen, respectfully, while I feel for what you went through, and I know you were scared at the time, with the possibility of your family find out and all, but you ask "what would be the point" to not testifying. Well, HOW ABOUT A SENSE OF LOYALTY TO THE GIRLS AND THE ESTABLISHMENT, AS WELL AS OTHER MONGERS WHO MIGHT BE IN TROUBLE DIRECTLY FROM THE PROCEEDINGS. No, you definately should not lie in the proceeding. Just tell thke prosecutor that you have no relevant information, and you are afraid that something you say could be used against you. I would be more afraid of that, immunity or not, as your testimony may tarnish your reputation in the community.

I know that the defendants (the girls, the MP owner) have nothing to do with you, but you were a customer, and they supposedly provided a service to you. Don't you have an conscience about that? Did you get to know any of the girls that you were having sex with personally? How do you treat the girls. They are humans too, who have been put in a situation where they have to have sex for a living. You take advantage of that because you have the money to do so, and your attitude is that you will testify against them because you have a "who cares" attitude?

Please, think about what you are doing fellas. There is NO REASON you have to testify. You don't need to have a lawyer with you in the proceedings to know that. Don't answer ANY question, except your name. If they ask, "was your car in the parking lot on such and such date," just take the 5th. If they ask, do you go to MPs often, just take the 5th. Keep on doing it.

If they offer you immunity, just say that you feel you have nothing for which you need immunity. Don't sign it.
