Great advice especially the middle name for hotels. I didn't even think of that. . I use Firefox focus for my browsing and always disconnect from my house WiFi just in case.
I use sideline for any texting and created a special Snapchat login as well, which I always clear. Firefox focus will clear everything once you actually close it and there's even a trash can button to just dump everything. When I'm done with sideline I just delete it but keep my sub active so I can download and log back in.

The second thing you look at is how often they log on or are at the top of the feed when you refresh because that means they're messaging a lot. 99% of the time they are scammers. They are brand new to the site and they are always logged on seemingly 24 hours a day and they are always at the top of the feed because they're messaging so many people trying to scam as many people as they can before their account gets shut down. If they haven't done the site for at least 3 months I keep going now. And even in that situation you need to look out for people that are trying to slow play a profile as a scam. Do us all a favor and report them immediately one night do what they did to you. Take a screenshot and record it so they get kicked off faster. Yes there is the odd diamond in the rough you can look for. But most new members are time wasters now. And you would be surprised how many of them are now choosing cities in the outlying areas instead of putting Atlantis so it seems more legit.

I guess the point I was trying to make with the IgG test is that if you test positive consistently more than once, then you most like have herpes, but just because you test negatively consistently doesn't mean that you don't have it. The antibody test has a 19% false positive rate and a 38% false negative rate (from what I'm seeing), so you can still be infected but test negative for it a third of the time. The swab test is still the most accurate, but then again you need a blister to appear, which doesn't happen with most people who have the virus. I just don't want people to think they're clean if they test negative on the IgG test.
As to your second point, you're right as well. It's still safer to use a condom, and it reduces your risk, even if it's only by 65%. I don't want people to think, "I'm going to get herpes whether I wear a condom or not, so I might as well not wear one. " It still helps lessen your odds of catching it. My point on that one was just that condoms aren't going to completely prevent something that spreads by skin-to-skin contact. Whereas an infection like chlamydia infects you through your urethral opening, so using a condom will protect you against that more than it will against herpes.
