Looks like UH will be the CASH COW again 21-0 2nd qtr. Go bows LOL.
Today, while viewing some of Alabama's 56 to 0 steamrollering of Mercer, I had an idea. Here we have a longtime national powerhouse and the currently undefeated #1 FBS team, Alabama, beating up on a lackluster non-FBS team, Mercer. Sort of like matching a championship heavyweight boxer against a no-name lightweight boxer. It's almost an automatic easy win for Alabama, an obvious mismatch used to "pad" Alabama's record, and of nearly no interest to watch. So, let's change the rules to make such ridiculous mismatches competitive and interesting. My idea would be to make one or more rules changes to reduce a powerful FBS team's overwhelming advantage over a lowly non-FBS team. For example, reduce the number of players that the FBS "bully" team is allowed to have on the field for offense, defense or both; reduce their number of available downs on offense; reduce the number of points they receive for each touchdown and field goal, etc. In my opinion, such rules changes could make that type of game much more fair, competitive and exciting to watch.

What do you think?That would never work in any collegiate sport. Alabama needs to play more teams in their conference and not only 8. By the way Mercer picked up $600 k to play Bama. If I was UH I would go independent and play any team that wants to play us if the money is worthy. We don't need to win just show up and get paid to play.

I'm picking holly holm to win against cris cyborg. Last I checked the line was about 3 to 1. Hopefully holly becomes more of an underdog as the money comes in. Cyborg is a roided out beast with heavy heavy hands, and her opponent Holly is definitely past her prime. But Holly has hall of fame boxing skills and is all heart. 1-3 this week ouch.Yup win some, lose some. I make my selections every Monday night and post it on Friday. I don't waver from my original selections unless there's some severe weather conditions. That way I don't second guess myself.
Carolina was averaging over 30 points a game over the past 6 games and had a chance to win the division. They are playing indoors. But Cam throws 3 picks.
In the Tampa Bay game Jameis throws the winning TD pass with 9 seconds left. Even if they kicked the field goal for the win, the under still would've covered by 1/2 point.
And Baltimore, I don't know what the heck happened. I normally don't like to give double digit points but all Baltimore had to do was win and they're in the playoffs. I thought the motivation was there. Aside from the Pittsburgh game Baltimore's defense was allowing only 12 points a game over their last 5. Instead they allowed Cincinnati to score 31. In their previous 6 games Cincinnati averaged 14.
Luckily LA went over. I figured it was going to be high scoring but needed the last TD by LA to push it over. This was the only game I was worried about after hearing LA would sit their starters.
Main thing ended up the regular season on the plus side with a record of W-37 L-32 for 53%. Which broke down to 6 winning weeks, 4 losing and 7 splits. Hypothetically, if I were playing for real and bet 100 per game paying 10% juice I'd have ended up winning 180. Almost enough for a AMP visit but we all know that this is for amusement only LOL.

Yup win some, lose some. I make my selections every Monday night and post it on Friday. I don't waver from my original selections unless there's some severe weather conditions. That way I don't second guess myself.
Carolina was averaging over 30 points a game over the past 6 games and had a chance to win the division. They are playing indoors. But Cam throws 3 picks.
In the Tampa Bay game Jameis throws the winning TD pass with 9 seconds left. Even if they kicked the field goal for the win, the under still would've covered by 1/2 point.
And Baltimore, I don't know what the heck happened. I normally don't like to give double digit points but all Baltimore had to do was win and they're in the playoffs. I thought the motivation was there. Aside from the Pittsburgh game Baltimore's defense was allowing only 12 points a game over their last 5. Instead they allowed Cincinnati to score 31. In their previous 6 games Cincinnati averaged 14.

Usually put bets on early lines and then go opposite if I change my mind or something about the game changes during the week. But this is my final answer for the playoffs.
Jacksonville plus the points. Will the real Blake Bortles please stand up, please stand up. This could be my loser, least confidence.

You know I hate to give double digit points but I also hate to buck NE. I don't think Tennessee's defense has gotten the credit they deserved this year. There's only two games where they surrendered 40 or more points (Houston with Deshaun and Pittsburgh) everything else was 20's or less. Unfortunately their playoff run ends this week. So here we are two weeks away from Super Bowl. It sure was an interesting Divisional Round last weekend wasn't it? On Saturday Atlanta's season long problem to score from the red zone caught up with them. Both of Sunday's games were awesome strictly from a fans perspective watching the games. First off Pittsburgh didn't turn the ball over five times again but their two miscues lead to 14 points for Jacksonville in the first half. Then what can you say about the Minnesota game? Fans on both sides must have gone through a wide range of emotions in that final minute.
New England over 45.
Will Tom play or won't he? How bad is he hurt? Some serious mind f*ck being done by Belichick. Enough to make the line move from 9 to 7 1/2 and the o / you from 46 1/2 to 45. Will Brady still be perfect against the Jags? I think Jacksonville scores at least 17 - 20 points but New England 27 - 20.
Philadelphia over 38.
Minnesota's D was not as dominant on the road. Pittsburgh, Washington, Detroit and Carolina all scored at least 23 points playing at home against the Vikes. It looks like it's going to rest on the arm of Foles in order for Philly to move on. I don't see it happening, Minnesota 23 - 17.

This one is easy. Patriots Money line for sure and Patriots minus the points. I am expecting for the line to go down to 4 1/2 or 4 by game time, lots of dummies betting the eagles. Marcus Marriota, Blake Bortles, and Nic Foles. Probably the 3 easiest QB's a team has had to face in the playoffs to win a super bowl. Think about it, Marcus Marriota is the best QB the Pats will face this entire postseason, What a joke. I know we live Hawaii and are biased because Marriota is the hometown boy, but seriously the Pats have faced 3 crap QB's in the playoffs.
HOWEVER, if the line moves 2 points the other way, I am on the eagles. So if you see pats minus 8 take the eagles, otherwise its the patriots in a rout.

It all comes down to one last game. Winner takes all. As I mentioned last week Philadelphia needed to have vintage Foles to have a big passing day in order to advance. So what did Pederson do? They went retro and brought back plays from 2013 when Foles flourished under Kelly. I don't think offensively anything will change for the Eagles in the Super Bowl.
However, this is going to be on a neutral field and not at home where they have dominated this post season (average score 26 - 8). This year their average point differential for all away games was -5 points. Throw in the fact this will be their first game this year in a completely enclosed stadium.
New England's average point differential for all away games was -11 points. They played one game in a dome stadium this year at New Orleans which they won 36 - 20. Does this make a difference? Probably not but it's something to take into consideration.
New England over 48.
Philadelphia WILL score against New England. I think they will score on their first possession and possibly head into halftime with the lead. However, New England has a knack of being on the ropes for 2 maybe 3 quarters until they figure how to adjust defensively and offensively. Nobody does it better than New England and this game will be no different. I think New England pulls it out again in the fourth quarter 28 - 24.

Urban meyer is not going to get fired. Willing to take all bets on this one. Right now OSU is forging documents to protect Urban Meyer and show how he reported everything to OSU. So odd makers are going by past historical data. But I think UH will surprise allot of nay sayers and win big over Navy. The receivers have improved and that quarter can scramble as well, forcing Navy to adjust whenever he gets out of the pocket. Besides its a home game at Aloha stadium.

Mahalos.When the point spread isn't up yet, it doesn't mean the house lost a lot of money. It only means they don't know how to make the point spread yet. Like when the starting QB gets hurt it just takes more time for the oddsmakers to figure it out. Line will be out in a few days for sure.
I bet against Hawaii 2 wks straight (took the overs too thankfully). Will wait and see what the spread is, but I guess UH is looking legit.
