Someone used the term "bolohead row" in a few posts a while back. I first heard the term used by my dad's friends and I've used it ever since. Let me try to help. There are two different Maya's being discussed. Maya from Rainbow7 is the relatively new arrival from DC who has had good reviews both there and here. I have not seen her yet, but I plan on it.

I gotta disagree with you on the Vegas action. The Vegas Eros site may have page after page of escorts, but a lot of the pages (I know of at least three from personal experience) that do show the providers' faces are bait and switch agencies who usually do not have the real girl pictured. OK All,

We have about 10 girls on Eros probably phony pictures and reviews way over priced. Amp scene is rushed, way over priced with almost no chance of gfe! Come on we are one of the 12 biggest cities and this is our choices. Anyone know why this is?

I have never done the sw thing here but out of desperation may give it a try. Any advice? I hear about checking out behind Longs but I have no idea where this Longs is. I live way west. Any advice on how much I need to worry about LE? I can not afforad to get busted at this time.

I went to IM today, and got a standard quality massage and good finish. I was chatting with the girl during the massage, and she said her previous customer agreed to give her a $50 tip, and after she took care of him, he gave her a $5 tip and said that's all he had. Here's my take on why we have fewer escorts than the mainland. First, we are a fairly small city. I believe we are about 45th nationally, not 12th. Rule of thumb, any city with a professional sports team is larger than us and has more money to spend. There's at least 40-45 cities that fit that bill. We also have a population that is pretty conservative, spending wise. That's the reason we don't have Broadway plays, Big time music venues, Professional sports, a Disney Land or very many high end car dealerships. We don't have the population base to support them. Pay is low relative to the mainland, so we don't have alot of people paying $400+ for an escort. People in Hawaii wince when they have to pay $150 in an AMP. There are just not enough guys here who would support those high end escorts here, so they don't work here. Most mainland escorts (those worth seeing), are $300-$500 a pop. As a side note, many of the pictures are fakes or way out of date. Unless you actually tried one of them and seen them in person or had someone on the board confirm it, I would not trust the pics. I have not yet met an escort that lived up to their pics, and many are older or heavier than they appear in the photos. That's why I rarely ever see any escorts these days. Those that you can get for $200 or less, you don't want.

Here's the positive .. what we do have is more AMP's per square mile than I have seen anywhere else in the US. I don't expect the GFE, since that is very rare anywhere. What I do want is quality service and a high level of skill. There are a number of those type of girls in the AMP's. I generally get my full 1 hr here, so you may be going at prime time, which may be one of the problems. Keep in mind, we have been getting some of the top girls from SF, LA, SD, AZ, NY, VA, etc. Overall, we probably rank in the top 5 in the US in terms of the hobby, so I think we should all count our blessings here in Hawaii. A lot of posting of MP experiences but not so much on the KB scene. Whats happening in the KBs these days. I'm pretty much a Kalihi KB person--Cheers, Perfect, Imperial, etc. All of these bars have about the same type of girls, between late 30s to late 40s and past their Kapiolani/Keeaumoku prime time but still know their business. Cheers is in my opinion one of the best run KBs in Kalihi. June takes care of her customers and doesn't mind losing a few bucks on a couple cheap charlies to just keep everybody happy. AT2/Hilo Boy: I have been stationed in many areas of the world and I love the scene we have here. It is far better than what I had in DC or SF or when I was in Taipei. The system here is so relaxed when it comes to the AMPS. I was at R7 when a few of the LE came in. All they did was take one girl out who happened to be giving a shower at the time. That is not allowed same for a massage. You are here to relax, the girl came back within the hour after paying a fine. How can you complain about that. The owner was a little freaked out but they did not close down the place or put anything in the newspaper.I mean the LE prefer to have the AMPS vs the street walkers as the AMPS are easier to keep quite and they are not as noticed on the street. I meant was all Oahu as one city wouls be about 12 in the US. Since Honolulu is the only area I can seem to find service I think escorts, amps etc. can draw from the whole (about 900,000) not just the (375,000) in Honolulu. I do a lot of traveling around the US (including a lot to Hawaii) and abroad and I've always wondered about the minimal number of escorts in Hawaii. You guys have a only a handful of good ones, but nowhere near the number that would correspond with the size of Honolulu. You're right that Honolulu is in the mid-40s ranking-wise for population vs. other US cities. But with about 400,000 people (not including tourists!) that puts you in the same league as Atlanta, Miami, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Sacramento, Denver, etc. Those cities have WAY more escorts working and I would say that some like Denver have a long list of FS/GFE excellent escorts in the 200-250 range.

Maybe you're right about the economics, but there's other cities around where the economy really sucks and they still have a thriving escort trade. I'll debate your escort prices though, mainland prices aren't $300-$500. I'd say that 90% of excorts are between $200-$300 except maybe in Vegas or NYC (2 places I rarely go to). $300 gets you a top notch time in any city in the US and if you do your homework $250 will too.

You're right about one thing though, your AMPS are great! Compared to what I have in San Diego believe me I look forward to my AMP visits every time I travel to Hawaii. Thanks for your input. Good to get other peoples views. I do agree that most escorts range from $250-$300, but my experiences with anyone of them under $300 are not good. The $300-$500 range includes the inflated places like Las Vegas and the high end escorts like Reina Geisha, etc. I spent $300 on Diana of Dallas once, and overall she did look good, but there were several drawbacks. That’s it: Plenty of great posts, the board has become more active. The past year was notable in that it was the year that we survived the closing of New Yorker and saw the opening of Smile Spa. Strictly by counting the number of reviews, it appears that the most popular AMPS are 1) Pine Tree; 2) R7; and 3) Smile Spa.

Thanks to all for their contributions with a particular thanks to those who posted AMP reviews consistently including Momo Taro (19), Kimchi (11), Ron Burgandy (10), S Hunter (8) and others such as BJ Hawaii, Matisse, etc. There were, in fact, over 200 AMP reviews posted during 2004. I tried to include address and phone information for most AMPs and a reference to one or more reports with good directions, but couldn’t find any reports with directions for several. It would be helpful to all if you kept this in mind when reviewing some of the less well known or harder to find places.

I gotta agree with AT2 who posted a few days ago and reminded me of how fortunate we are, He said, “Here's the positive .. what we do have is more AMP's per square mile than I have seen anywhere else in the US. I don't expect the GFE, since that is very rare anywhere. What I do want is quality service and a high level of skill. There are a number of those type of girls in the AMP's. I generally get my full 1 hr here, so you may be going at prime time, which may be one of the problems. Keep in mind, we have been getting some of the top girls from SF, LA, SD, AZ, NY, VA, etc. Overall, we probably rank in the top 5 in the US in terms of the hobby, so I think we should all count our blessings here in Hawaii. Good luck with your search for Nirvana.” I couldn't agree more.
