Had another amazing session with Wassana, this time I went for 90 minutes.
Wassana provides amazing customer service, she pampers you from the minute you walk in the door. After you take your shoes off, she prepares house slippers for you to walk around prior & after your session, to take a shower or use the bathroom. She starts the session off with a warm water foot soak and then gives them a wash and dry, such a nice touch, much better than having them wiped down with wet wipes.
As we moved into the main event, she began by working on my back with her hands & elbows, just tried to relax to let her work deep into my muscles. Then came the walking on the back, OMG, she even stepped on the backside of my thighs, calves, feet, forearms and hands, WOW. So painfully pleasurable. Next came the stretching, again taking my body to places where it has never been before. At one point Wassana was standing on the back of my thighs, then interlocked my feet around her legs and then began leaning forward, so my thighs started to reach for the sky. OMG. So by this point I was physically drained, like I had been to ultimate yoga, with the flip side still to go. As there was definitely much more going on, I'll make a long story short and end here and say Wassana is a must try. She is fully legit, but such a sweetheart that provides the ultimate in customer service in every aspect. Her skills will far exceed any of your expectations and the need for any extras. She's a 10 10 10.

The girls know that my upper back is all tight, and concentrate on kneading that area.
That limbering up has worked wonders on my posture. Found myself more erect, stooping less. Feel like I gained a half inch in height. Straightening the back eases pressure on my air passage, so I can breathe better.

I recently made an appointment to see Nancy, and man what an excellent massage she gave; I've been having Neck and Shoulder issues for several years now and after the massage I felt great; all the knots in those areas were taken care of; I would highly recommend Nancy if you're looking for a great legit massage. Met with Wassana a few weeks ago before she left for her vacation. Pretty damn good 90 minutes, though should have asked her to ease up on the shoulder area, was sore for a few day afterwards. Everything else was great though and she did some stretches my body's never been in before. Kind of bummed to hear her stand in Sandy is not up to par quality wise. Anyone know a good fill in until Wassana returns?

Substandard in the islands has become the norm and people consider that good nowadays. There was a time I considered the Koreans having really top notched massage skills where they hit the right pressure points to stimulate good energy flow in your body, but that was like 15-20 years ago on this island, those days are long gone.
A good massage isn't about just pressure to me, but knowing the right parts of the body that stimulates proper energy flow and not one that hits the bone in the back when it should be massaging the muscles around the bone or massaging the thighs and pushing it the wrong way and causing pain and not knowing it. That's what I see in a lot of these joints these days that claim good massages.
Well, I found someone tonight that knew exactly how to massage and boy when they do it good, feels so good! Right when she started, I knew right away how she massaged she knew what she was doing, she knew the right points, so got me curious and so I asked where she learned how to massage. Her uncle just so happens to be an acupuncturist in China and so she knows how to do acupressure really well. She knew the type of movement that would cause pain and the movements that don't which is the proper way to stimulate muscles and nerves and she also can tell how tight and causes of the tightness and what to do, so it was an awesome experience to find someone like this it's truly rare in the islands. She thoroughly enjoyed what she was doing and went way overtime for me, but take it as a YMMV and don't blame her if she doesn't provide more time, just that I clicked with her right away, so that's always a plus.

Holy smokes! You were right about Amy. She's a hidden gem. Was hesitant to post because I may not be able to get an appointment with her in the future. She's going to her busy with customers who want a legitimate fixing. I was super tense from a long week. Lots and lots of stress and only 1-2 hours of sleep per night. I was a complete knot. But shit! She worked every nook and cranny (legit of course). The spots she hit would've normally hurt with other therapists, but I agree, she knows the pressure points. I feel like a new man. She went over the hour but said don't worry, just 0. 6. I gave 0. 35 tip. That's all I had as I didn't expect it to be that good. Took the plunge with this one and glad I did. Great deep tissue mixed with some Thai stretching. All other reports on her is spot on. Cute petite little thing, but oh so strong. Strictly legit, but she definitely knows how to tease.

It's been a while and time for another fix. Definitely a great experience. Her smile just brightens the darkest day. Massage skills truly professional and highly experienced. As all my goto Therapist don't work on Sundays, took my chances again trolling the pages of Bedpage for offerings of deep tissue and thai stretching. As I do a lot of biking, she could tell my butt, thighs and calves were oh so tight, so those areas were the focus points for the session. Started by walking all over my back, butt, and back of the thighs. While standing on the back of my thighs she did the interlocking of my feet around her legs and leaned forward for a bigger stretch on my thighs. New norm unless you've built a rapport. Went to three different ones since things opened. My goto still did the face up with no mask but I've been to her at least a dozen times. The others. Same as you described.
Keep in mind if you're face up, no mask. You're exhaling out or even breathing out while they're within distance to take in the droplets. The mask they have on protects you from them but if you don't have it on for yourself. Ones that you don't know will likely not massage your front.

Jing is the only one that I see that will give you a mask when you face up, your choice to wear it while downward facing.

Could you post the shop name or send pm?It could be a shop rule but it's probably more how in individual MT feels about you. At one shop, an MT made me wear my mask after the flip. She even brought over the basket with my clothes and I had to dig around to find the mask. At the same shop, another MT let me flip without a mask.
My Japanese go-to shop is very strict. I have to fill out a form first, after they take my forehead temperature. After I undress, I have to put the clothes basket under the massage table myself. Then I have to wear a mask the whole time, even face down, when it's hard enough breathing through the small hole in the table. But lately they let me uncover my nose, which helps a lot. They also stopped serving water after the session. I miss the water, partly because I get a little thirsty after 90 minutes, but also because it gives me the chance to chat and joke around with the girls. Now I have to leave the shop right away.

Some strength and energy of course is going to be used, but hit the right points suddenly areas will start getting tender. I learned this back when Eve was around and her Swedish alone would make me cry. From my experience and what I heard many incoming MTs aren't priding themselves because men clients tend to be more interested in getting aroused rather than getting healed. Normally I will tip at least 10, but there have been times I tipped nada. Like anything else I feel if you're really unsatisfied, then you have the right to tip or not. Unlike other businesses we get no kickbacks if we are really displeased. So all we can do is base it off the tip. As far as these $70 places go, seems they are just testing the waters and stationing themselves more particularly where there isn't as much competition. Of course there's the exception to some of the higher end spas. It'll be interesting to see how even the $60 places get as more of these Chinese foot massage shops open up.

I've seen several instances where the surface temperature of a person read so low or high that the person should probably be dead. Trying it myself, I just measured my temp as "94.4" and "94.6", meaning I should be experiencing hypothermia. However, it at least "appears" they are trying to be diligent, haha. Same thing as using a shoddy face-covering!

All in all the massage was great. Wassana's strong massage was a bit much, so this time asked Jing for medium. Though after working out some knots, she asked if wanted to up the strength a bit and told her ok. Guess she knew medium wasn't going to cut it so appreciate her bringing it up. The focus on the legs and lower back, but she noticed shoulders knots too and worked them a bit more as well. Oh in the beginning she asked how found her, so mention through a friend and Yelp. She was like "who's your friend? So had to say just someone online. Doubt say this forum name was appropriate LOL. Anyway felt great and all loose leaving her place. Will definitely repeat another time.

Stay safe.Watched a YouTube vid where they tested (guessing a Chinese made) one and the temp reading was always 97 deg and some change no matter the actual surface temp. Though It was back in the earlier months where everyone was scrabbling to get supplies so maybe now things better.
Kinda reminded of the large flash drives scams that were marketed as 256+GB but inside was really just a 4 GB or something and spoofed to read the larger capacity. Can probably still find some maybe on Wish or other sketchy site.

The shop itself wasn't described, so have to give that side of the story. First, stopped by to check it out. Turned out the Safeway coupon was the same price as the kamaiiana rate. Went back another time. Walk-in so got the short straw. Waited a little, then the Japanese receptionist / cashier said my MT was coming. Out popped a young, local man from behind the curtain. Speechless. Never expected that. Didn't appreciate that she didn't confirm with me first if a male MT was ok. But the guy kept smiling at me so didn't have the heart to refuse him to his face. Thought I'd give it a try but having some dude caressing your body all over is definitely not my thing. TEHO.
The shop is in one of those narrow units. Tiny reception / waiting room area in front. Whole shop is crammed with massage tables practically next to each other, divided by curtains. You could practically reach out and touch the next table. Of course you can hear everything going on in the room. One Japanese MT whose voice sounded older than a Korean MM's was belligerently belittling her customer. Very rude.
I got the last table available, which was the first one beyond the reception area. It was right behind the massage chairs that guests can use while waiting. That meant I could hear clearly all the business transactions and chit-chat in the lobby like I was sitting there myself.
There might've been a shower but I didn't get the feeling you could use it. It was like in, out, next. Very busy. Got a stamp card but resolved never to go back.
This was before I tried CC. Boy, what a difference! Large living room, individual rooms with real walls and doors, free shower, amazing views from 30 or more floors up, free tea or water and sometimes candy, free wifi.

As all my goto Therapist don't work on Sundays, took my chances again trolling the pages of Bedpage for offerings of deep tissue and thai stretching. When I got there I was greeted by this little Thai girl and just by her looks, I thought it was going to be just another basic massage, but what can you expect on a Sunday. So I kept it to a minimum and asked for 60 minutes and we were off. After about 15 minutes into it, I was quite surprised by abilities and decided to extend for 90 minutes and glad I did. As I do a lot of biking, she could tell my butt, thighs and calves were oh so tight, so those areas were the focus points for the session. Started by walking all over my back, butt, and back of the thighs. While standing on the back of my thighs she did the interlocking of my feet around her legs and leaned forward for a bigger stretch on my thighs. After working my backside, she asked me to lay on my side, this was a first for me, as most times it is just the back and flip to the front. While on my side she continued to work on the focus areas, she even had me split my legs apart so she could walk on the inner thighs and OMG that felt so good. And there was so much more, so after a great round of stretching, she did a nice soothing oil rub down to finish off.
