I get this text from an escort. Saying she wants to see me. Now I don't remember her at all. Her name is melody. I'm like ok send me pics. She send me some pics. Looks great about 30 years old.

So I set up a date with her. We pick a time. Few hours go by says she's running late I'm in no rush just chilling at my house. Finally her supposed friend drops her off in the area.

So I get there. I tell her I'm there. All of a sudden I see a weird black dude going back and forth while on his phone. Then I see a giant white van pull to the side near him. 2 minutes later I see a cop car pull into the parking lot. This was across the place I was suppose to meet this chick. I bounced the fuck out.

She call me saying its a coincidence she starts screaming on phone telling me I'm paranoid and her kids need money and to come back. She was very convincing. She even threaten me with her cousin saying she knows cops and blah blah. Fuck out of here closed the phone and blocked her number.

Think it was a set-up I dunno? What do you guys think?

Red flag for me would have been contact by someone I don't know. Wasn't clear if when she sent the pics you recognized her as someone you dated before? Me? Probably would have walked at that point, but the way you proceeded makes sense and should be copied by others.

First you made plans to meet in public and not have her come to your house (didn't give up address). Also you didn't get a room until you knew you had a date that would be successful. But Key is that you found a spot from which you could observe the prearranged pick up spot. SMART! Then you reported you were there and watched what happened at that spot, while you were a distance away. Smart. SO when things went down badly, you were free to bounce, undetected and safe. Attaboy.

Oh and when she started begging for you to come back, you blocked her! Great. Some would have put on their "Mr Fixit" hat and tried to salvage the situation. Keep her talking and eventually work something out. Doing that almost never works out the way you want. So once something goes badly, bounce, block and don't regret it, like you did! +1!

Have never heard of LE playing the game that way, but that doesn't mean they can't adapt and change tactics. Could be the the LE that stopped in was because the AA dude on the phone was a person of interest. Could be the dude was the "girl" you were texting with and planned to rob you? {I never make a date solely through text, have to TALK to the girl before leaving. You may never know if it was truly a setup or not (sounds like it) but you used the big head all through the process and trusted your Spidey Senses!
