The web sites themselves are expensive, but the women aren't always. You got to pick your targets carefully.

The hype that draws most of these females to the site is that the men are all rich, or at least well-heeled enough to afford their fantasy. The reality is that *very* few men on the sites are truly wealthy -- those men didn't get that way by spending their time trolling dating sites, they have more important things to occupy their time. And such men usually come into contact with their particular type of agreeable women in the regular course of their day, or farm out the task to a trusted subordinate; they don't need to spend time trolling websites to get what they want. The reality is that the men on the sites are, by and large, middle-aged, middle-class professional working types, and fall (with some overlap) into two categories: the guys just looking for pros or one-and-dones, and the guys that really want an ongoing connection that satisfies more than just their momentary lust. The former is pretty easy to find, depending on your appearance / physical standards, but does tend to be more expensive than what you find on STG. The latter can be very expensive all the way down to super cheap. As for me, while I like a casual nut fairly regularly and will find a STG girl, hit Final Touch or even (very rarely) pick up a swan, I prefer more of a connection with my partners. That's why I continue in the SB pool.

I learned very early in the SD / SB game that the 20-something co-eds aren't worth the time. Sure, some are hot as fuck and enthusiastic, but very few have the experience, maturity and attitude to make an ongoing connection possible or to be really good at sex, and there are always logistical problems (can't host, fucked-up schedule between classes and multiple jobs, etc.) And when you have 40 years on them and zero in common, it's impossible to build any connection. And every one of them was hot.

My current SB is a late-30's mom, yoga / pilates instructor (so you can imagine her body), who's married to a real asshole who travels for work a lot. We hook up about 3 times a month; for that, she just wants some help for her hair / nail appointments, which costs me average $250/ month. She hosts so there's no motel expense, her schedule makes getting together very easy, and she lives less than 10 minutes drive from me. She's smart, level-headed and a great conversationalist. And she fucks my brains out, with skill and abandon. As I said elsewhere, she's in this for the affair, not for the money.

So if you want quality and longevity, look past the 20-somethings and you can find such gems. Yes, it takes work. But for me, the challenge of picking the needles out of the haystack is itself a lot of fun. I'm nearing retirement and, once I do, this will all end. I'm going to enjoy it while I can.

If the bill is $250 per month, then there's other mongers involved with her. Are you ok with that?

That said, someday I might succumb but when (and if) I do I certainly don't expect much. Long time searcher on FaceBook has yieled good results just a very tedious work in progress.

Go to the Tampa / St. Pete area and do the 6 shops or Relaxation Studios? Or are there escort or Parlor options in our backyard that are just as good?

For all of the SB sites, not just SeekingArrangement: There's the marketing hype the site operators like to put out there, and then there's reality.

I've been playing in the SD / SB pool for about 12 years now, so I have some small experience. The rundown on it: The site ops would have you believe that the sites are filled to overflowing by hot-to-trot college nymphs with nubile-but-buxom figures, bright minds, outgoing-but-submissive personalities, and tight budgets they're happy to augment by giving it up to you so long as they feel like it's a "date" and not "transactional". There *are* such girls there, but most of them have the personality of a 3-day fish or worse, not to mention an entitled, my-shit-don't-stink attitude, an overblown idea of their own looks/smarts/maturity ("yeah, sweetie, you're soooo hot with that big lip ring, nose stud and full chestplate tattoo! Let's dress you in a slinky strappy dress and go to my corporate-board dinner party!") And a profound lack of knowledge and experience about the act of sex. The few that can actually walk the talk are in high demand by the very limited number of male users who can actually walk the talk financially.

That leave a lot of others. Women from every walk of life, every age, every level of appearance and physique, and every economic strata have also heard the hype, and are looking to lighten their load to greater or lesser extent by trading their ass for guidas. (And we men are no better since we're making the same trade, so no complaints about misogyny.) That, of course, includes a fair number of pros - a lot more now, with the recent changes in the legal atmosphere and resultant loss of their primary feeding grounds (Backpage and Craigslist.) Taken together, this mishmash of women is chum in the water for every swinging dick around... and quite frankly, most of THEM should be chained to a post in the back yard, not allowed to interact with civilized females (sheesh, the horror stories I've heard from ladies!) The back-yard contingent is looking for cheap easy tail, and treats every woman on the site as if they're just a $20 swan, which just makes it that much harder on the guys who are actually looking for more than a one-and-done.

In other words, it's a real life cross-section on the American psyche today, warts and all. Weeding thru the chaff to find the right kernel of wheat can be a lot of work, depending on what species and grade of wheat you're looking for... but for those that want something different, or have different standards, or otherwise can't find what they want on STG, it can certainly be an option. Not a cheap one, but an option.
