It is a lot of money to add on to the price of a date, though. That's why I go for the short time rate. I consider it good fortune that there are reasonably priced places for this activity that are actually decent. It's the one thing about this hobby that's improved in recent years.

Very good recommendation. Stayed here for one night. Very nice hotel. As was said in previous posts, the remodel looks really good. Very clean and modern. It doesn't smell like an ashtray as soon as you walk in. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

In the north building, I'm virtually certain that there's an entrance at the north end of the building that also has no connection with the lobby / office. Not sure about the south end of the north building, but it's not like it's a really long walk from one end to the other.

If I stay at the Cicero Hotel and I invite a friend over, are they going to have go through the lobby to get to my room?

I've been to Shamrock a bunch of times, always brought a girl or had her meet me there. Never any apparent problem with that.
The first time I went after the renovation, I didn't give back the card key. I'd gone out and didn't feel like going back. I think I called to let them know, but not sure now. The next time I went, the lady told me I was banned. I said that was odd, is it because I didn't bring back the card key? She went and looked at something and then said, oh you're ok. Never any problems since, been there 9 times since the renovation.

Cindy Lyn is not as nice and is more expensive, they have their rates at their website. It's older with rooms having been renovated at various points. Rooms are bigger. Shady characters in the parking lot at night. I haven't gotten a room there since the Cicero Hotel and the newly renovated Shamrock became available.
When you can get a room there, the Shamrock is also very nice. It was completely renovated in the last couple of years, before that it was a complete hole.

Any reviews for the Skylark, Cindy Lyn, Cicero Hotel? These have been recommended to me. I know Shamrock also gets mentioned alot. But every time I drive past the small parking lot is always jammed packed and I always see squad cars parked at the gas station.

Posts: 38Hourly motels in the Gurnee area?
Just wondering if there's any places to have some nice dreams on the hourly in a Gurnee area motel?
I mean, I've to dream all set up, just have to find a spot in the area.
Thanks much.
