Mongers in general tend to be a paranoid bunch, and not entirely without reason. There are no shortage of scammers and thieves out there, to say nothing of Uncle LEO. I do understand that if someone is worried about their wife finding out, then using their real number that's likely on a shared plan with their wife might be no bueno. Beyond that though, I think a lot of mongers act like a phone number is way more sensitive information than there is. I mean, sure I've met providers in the past who got annoying with how frequently they would keep hitting you up to come see them. Easy enough to block a number if that happens. If I were going to contact some unknown provider or one without much of a track record, I supposed I might use a texting app or a Google Voice number or something. But realistically, I don't think there's a lot that someone can really do with your phone number. Hell, every scammer in India and China seems to have my number already.
In any case, the providers who are established and have built up a good reputation aren't interested in trying to mess with you. They just want to keep themselves safe and minimize the amount of their time that gets wasted.

Using your real number

I don't think the issue is VOIP as a technology (and I'm not sure if "VOIP" is even really the correct term for what providers like Destiny and Mandy are referring to). It's the "texting apps" that allow people to basically use unlimited burner numbers that can be switched easily. Those kind of things get abused by guys who just like to waste provider's time, set up appointments with no intention of ever showing up, book multiple appointments from different numbers (and not show up for any of them), etc. It makes it kind of futile trying to block or blacklist bad clients when they can basically switch to a new number anytime they want. So, that's the reason why some providers don't accept bookings from those kind of numbers. It's not a perfect solution, but I know Mandy at least has told me that it drastically cut down on the number of no-shows after she stopped accepting those numbers.

I can confirm it's the real deal. At first I surmised that it could be a fake site trying to mine data. But my old password still worked, and was still case sensitive. I tried other passwords first, so it indeed accepted only the correct one. And they accepted 2 reviews which I submitted, which, as in the past, were good for 30 days VIP status. They also rejected a review because the name of the provider was not in the advertisement. Just like they did in the past. They probably moved all previous traces of operation and ownership fully overseas and so are in business in the United States again.

Only real option is a burner phone. Find a good place to hide it. Maybe in your trunk. Trunks great esp if you have a messy trunk. I hide mine in the ceiling and only use it when I need to. Other than this, just use your number. Mandy isn't one of the girls who text you to say she's available now. Or any other random messages. Sometimes she does take some time to respond back though.

But I myself have had MANY MANY MANY reviews stolen from TER and put on there--some they left under my original TER screen name, while others they put under new, fake handles. I have wriiten to some of the "dudes", both for queries about reviews under my OWN TER handle, as well as the ones that they put under other handles. In ALL cases, I got the wrong answers to questions that I already KNEW the answers to, when I asked the "reviewers". So the dishonesty and fakery by MonkeyShit and their crooked owners, runs VERY DEEP! FWIFA!
I'll definitely keep that in mind thanks!. This is why the best reviews are from eachother right here!
