Not saying the St. Louis area police would be this up on things but it would be possible to have a database of vice related numbers and contacts. Then as you confiscate a cell phone you can add that phone's contacts, and text and call history to the database. You get enough information built up in the database you can then start looking at relationships between contacts and cross referencing things and see what pops up of interest. Still the average john would have very little to worry about, LE would be looking for management, dealers, and things of that nature.

Seems that when you google that name, then go to the images results tab, an STL MO mugshot pic is in the top results with that exact unique name and matching age. That persons mugshot seems to also match An EB persons pics whose last ad ran the day after that news story says that all went down. Coincidence?
