Now that Shirleys in Ionia is closed permanently, I was just curious if there was any clubs in the Grand Rapids area I can try? Parkway and sensations have problems with their girls ignoring people (mind you, I am pretty ugly so I'd ignore me too, but still).

I've debated on and off on writing this review, because parkway has been a nice landing spot for me for the better part of 2 decades.

There have been good visits and not so good visits.

Some nights the club is absolutely dead and other nights it's totally lit.

The past few visits there, all in the last 2 months, have left a bitter taste in my mouth and I'm debating about ever returning again. I'll give my perspective and hope that GR will be able to offer something better in the future!

Pros:

- the roll call (dancers) seem to have gotten noticeably hotter in the past few months.

- at worst it's still a bar and cheap cover.

- some of the dancers put on a good show in the VIP area..

I'll take the L here but I tried parkway again, what can I say strip clubs can be fun LOL.

This one is a glorified bar at best. Even the stage was empty for half the night while 5 girls sat around the bar with the frequent attendees. I guess on busier nights they can make decent money based on the amount of clientele, so maybe this is normal operating procedure for a Sun-Wed night.

If anyone from parkway is reading this, I walked out with $200+ that was going to be spent there. It's really a shame since the looks of the ladies there has improved. Better uses of my money than asking someone if they would be willing to give me an overpriced dance IMO.

Cons:

- at worst it's a bar with dancers who don't really want to dance. This has been true for years. It seems most of the women there seem content with sitting and having a drink with a guy than actually earning some money. A lot of this may be due to regular customers that come in, but even that has gotten a little out of hand. On a given night you may find the majority of the dancers sitting around the bar area talking to the same people. How they make money I'm not sure.

- the dancers are now charging $20/ song. WHAT? I'm not sure if it's everyone but I've talked to a few and they mentioned they can set the price now or something. I've had 4 different experiences with this, 1 told me before we went back, 1 mentioned it before she started in the VIP, 1 told me after a few songs and 1 told me after I bought 5+ dances and I basically said hell no. I'm sorry but while you have every right to charge what you want, I have the right not to pay.

- if the dances are going to be $20/ song, they need to do a better job at dancing! Or strip tease or something. No nudity with limited touching and layers of clothing on is a bust to me.

I've been to sensations but not since Covid and I heard they are going downhill too. So I guess the club scene in GR is dead, at least to me.

Currently in town from Oklahoma. Went to Parkway Tropics on Friday night (8/13/2021). With all the homework I gave it a try although it was just a bikini bar. The girls are nice, the bartender was nice, but the lap dances weren't making jr. Happy enough. I'm not really a titty guy, but it really was a turn off. Maybe the girls weren't sensual as I expected, but just a personal opinion. I was at a point where I didn't even wanted to try for take-outs.

I was going to pass on the strip Clubs during the stay, but couldn't resist to try Sensations since it was literally 2 minutes from my hotel (8/14/21). I actually liked the atmosphere better than Parkway Tropics. Usual small talk at the bar with a couple of dances. Same result from Parkway Tropics. Wasn't enough for me. When I was about to leave the club, this one white skinny dancer (forgot her name) started a conversation. She showed effort with a bit of aggression where it took me to the back for a dance. 1st song was normal, 2nd song she carefully pulled down her top and started to shove it in my face. Ok now here comes the problem, during the 3rd song she once again put her tits in my face, but at the same time I felt her hands going through my back pocket. This might sound weird but I carry a long wallet and it sticks out of my pocket half way. At first I thought it was an accident, but she shoved her tits in my face again and I felt my wallet moving this time. I instantly grabbed her hand which was on my wallet. I confronted her, but of course she denied. I already knew the management wouldn't do anything, so I just threw her $60 in her face and just left.

There is an unofficial battle going on between Parkway and Sensations. Sensations is drying up. Not much for customers and the girls are jumping ship. Bunch are going to Angels and a bunch to Parkway.

Talent and especially back room quality and take out opportunities at Parkway are as good as they have been in years.

Finished my weekend off nicely with a PW girl who was ready to finish off her night outside the club. Minimal negotiation. Was just straight to the point. Was nice to not have to deal with the typical club blue balls.

If you haven't been in PW for a while, you owe it to yourself to get in there.

I know they go tour other cities and use GR as homebase. Guessing they will pop in soon but usually I think they do more weekends and haven't been there on Saturdays during summer.

It is hit or miss depending on who decides to work that day. There are a few very good ones.

Been having fun with Layla lately. I find it is worth going for a drink or two to check out the action and leave if slow. Have had good luck meeting and setting up something else outside over the years and still do.

If you're in the GR area and asking about a club in Windsor, why not make a shorter drive to Inkster and Romulus? The clubs near the Detroit airport (Landing Strip, Flight Club, BT's in Dearborn) should meet your needs.

You might not have to drive all the way to detroit.

Both are open. Sensations is noon - 2 am. Parkway is 2 - 2. Both open up later on Sundays. 6 maybe.

Mix of good to great girls at both places and various willingness to play in back. But it is GR so don't expect too much. You will have to get take out for anything more than a good grind and a nipple.

It was like our own little piece of Detroit.
