They have been scarce.

Saw a 25 year old standing at a bus stop on Columbia with several shopping bags and a happy smile when I drove past. Turned around and waved as I went by on the other

Side of the street.

Activity has been at an all time low. Thought it was just me. I've been so thirsty I feel like going back and posting on my short (yet sordid) career as a monger.

I started in the fall of 2009 when I lived in Dorchester and by last spring (when I ditched my car and my mongering slowed to a near stop) I had seen over 40 individual girls, mostly on the streets, and never been popped by LEO once. I got jacked by a couple girls, but it was my own stupid fault. I did finally get pulled over by the cops last summer while using a rented car. They let me go due to having no record and being (probably visibly) scared out of my wits. I know now to never give them anything, but I was scared and with my actions and admission they could have had me arrested if they didn't have pity on me. They could have locked me up for the night and impounded my (rented) car which would have created a pretty wretched domino effect for me and my life.

Any tips for what to do when a lady of the night is stepping out of your car and you see blues go off behind you? Other than run, panic, or beg, which seems to be the only thing my young brain thought to do!

My suggestion to you and anyone else is a couple of things: 1) read the guide on the front page regarding rules of the game. 2) if you get pulled over. Shut up and don't say anything. Ask them if you're free to go? 3) unless they caught you in the act they have nothing. 4) if they caught you in the act they probably still have nothing unless they saw you handing her money. 5) tell them you don't want to talk w / o your atty present. My 2 cents. I may be wrong but I doubt it. Stay safe
