For karaoke bars, is the $400 just for the girl or for the girl and the drinks? The reason I ask is a friend went a few months ago and he said the girl alone was $500. As you and others mentioned, I rather go directly to k-orgs. I do like the karaoke to drink with friends and if the doumis are there, its fun, but if the girl is asking for $400 - $500 for their company, might as well skip that going forward. Your response will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Karaoke room charge and doumi are separate.

The doumi rate is $80/ hour with 2 hr minimum. After tips, it's $100/ hr. It used to be $60/ hr but after covid prices went up.

Karaoke room charges range from $400-600 depending on what bottle you order, what package you get, and which karaoke you go to. Mon-Wed some karaoke offer buy 2 bottles get 1 free.

I will put this in terms of % chance of FS vs money spent to better explain why I think its not worth it if you end goal is FS.

Night out for drinks - 100 150 - 5%.

Karaoke bar - 400 ish - 20%.

Hostess bar - 800 ish - 20% (chances go up if you are a regular but going to end up spending high 4 figures when its all said and done).

Kgirl - 400 ish - 100% (this is why I think its not worth it).

Now this is just generalized so there will be outliers.

Generaly the experience also will be something you hear often in the HYA thread.

I've heard good things about Simple Karaoke on 8th st don't know if you've tried it?

Been there once but it was after hrs so there was nobody there.

Also FYI, the girls do not work for the bars, they rotate around.

The girls talk and try to go visit places that are rumored to have big spenders first.

The only reason you would choose one place over the others is if you know the staff and they hook you up with extra drinks or if you prefer the ambiance of a place.

Did you ever set up that group? I doubt anyone would get busted going to Karaoke together. Sounds like you don't really do anything worth busting in there.
