Same in DC. I remember driving home from a friend's party in the mid 1980's. . . It was about 2 am and 13th St looked like it was 2 pm, only it wasn't office workers it was SW's. Dozens, and they'd knock on the car window at a stop sign or red light.

I don't think of that as "good old days" and frankly am happy to have the cities cleaned up from that. IMHO.
