I will never let any club or nightspot anywhere scan my ID. Everyone else can do what they want to but my privacy is very important to me. As I have stated before, I will "show" it to them for age verification because I know that they are required by law to do that. They.

Are not required to scan your ID. This is something that the owner of the establishment has decided that they will make you do to enter their precious club. They will never get any business from me. To all of those that think it's no big deal, step back from the circle and look at the information that they click from you once it's scanned. Once you let them do it, there's no taking it back. Be smart, don't patronize anywhere that requires you to do this. If they keep losing business, maybe they will change their method and not be invading your privacy. I know that there will be people on both sides of the fence on this one, this is my personal stance on the issue and I will not change my mind. Good luck out there.

When they first started, I protested a few times to the cute bartender girl. She sounded like my refusing might get her in trouble or force them to make me leave, so I initially caved.

After that I took a sharpie and made the barcode unreadable but in a non-obvious way (because no one else ever scans it, its no loss to me). Now when it doesn't work, I just shrug.

It is then logged & recorded in their computer system- and on some server somewhere. There is no "good" reason for an establishment like that to have that kind of information. Though that being the number two AID'S capitol of the world gives me pause.

Well, it's official. Jimmys is now under new management / owner. They will shut down soon to remodel. A much needed manager is there, and that's the good part. $5 cover and beer coming soon. Oh, and the I'd scanner is installed. Word is that girls are calling there trying to get away from the 'Pony owner' and finding they won't work at Jimmys either. So much for going to any of the clubs in the daytime.

Let us know if there's any 'independent' places left. TR.

I did a run of the local clubs last weekend at night. Started at Fantasia be bopped over to Boomers 50/50, dipped my toe into Jimmy's, and was going to finish the night at Uncle Buck's until they ask for my I'd and had the same scanner as they have at scores. Well that ended the night for the clubs.

Fantasia had a couple of the B team from the Cherry working there now. There were a couple of good-looking black Spinners there. There was a cute looking blond at least until she smiled. I had a couple of dancers walk up to me and talk my ear off. How they don't play upstairs and that they shouldn't even be asked. I hadn't asked and was a bit taken aback that they would throw that in my face. So when they asked if I wanted a dance I declined. These two were also bragging about how much money they're making from when they are over at scores. I was there for at least 2 hours and they didn't make a dime. Granted I wasn't watching them the entire time I was there though.

Boomers was a nice place. Everyone seemed cool there. I'm sure I smelled weed while I was in there. It looked like I can have some real fun in there however most of the girls were, how do I put this delicately? Fat! They were fat. There were a couple of good-looking spinners and average body ladies available but they were very busy. The music was a bit too loud for my taste as well.

Over at Jimmy's there were couple of nice looking ladies there. VIP there is still crap. There is still talk of it being purchased by the same person that owns scores. Was asked to show my I. D. If at the door but wasn't pressured for it. It seems like Huntsville is trying to get the same business model as Nashville for its clubs. If that's the case this town can kiss my ass on that. Looks like I may have to take a drive over to Georgia.

All in all it was pretty sad. I was out between 8 pm And 3 am And was not at all impressed. This town is not the fun place it used to be. Hopefully Atlanta has not changed.

Went by Jimmy's the other day, about 2:00.3 or 4 girls dancing, mostly empty except for a few regulars. Saw some lovely dances from two of their bartenders, much hotter than any dancer there!

Did learn some good news. The pony will not be buying Jimmy's just yet, he can't get the money up to pay for it!
