In my opinion, and I have engaged in this hobby for the most part of 45 years, it has become increasingly difficult and at the same time imperative that we protect ourselves. The change in the law that makes "inference" a chargeable offense shows that the existing laws were becoming increasingly ineffective.

What that means is that we as hobbyists MUST be sure in our activities to avoid even the inference of exchanging sex for money. If you are talking or texting a woman and she starts talking about money you have to realize that she is dumb as a box of rocks or bait for a sting, and avoid her, and at the same time state very clearly that you would never under any circumstance consider or propose any exchange of money for sexual favors. Unless she's your wife, LOL.

As far as going to a motel for fun, I prefer a motel for incall. Just not her motel. It is considerably less expensive to get a room yourself and pay for it than it is to hire a lawyer. And lets face it, its getting more expensive to play. Someone said something about preferring motels to an incall, being her motel. Its a lot easier for the pigs to arrange a sting in some house or motel than it is for someone to set that up in a room you just got.

Not sure what you're trying to say, but it has nothing to do with what I was wondering about. Texting, with the new laws, and then showing up, I would think would get you a solicitation charge. Engaging in prostitution is having sex for money, was my understanding.

Same. Most of these girls come as tourist visa and overstay to make money. I think border security is usually more interested in these girls and when caught they are kicked out of the country. Now if the local LEO can get their paws on few hobbyists in the process, they are very happy.

They said they were charged with engaging in prostitution. Wouldn't it be solicitation unless caught in a sexual act? Engaging is a more serious charge than solicitation.

Saw a new add pop up on STG over last weekend. Absolutely sure it was the bait in this bust. Ad was up for 4 or 5 days & then disappeared as fast as it first appeared. My spidey sense said this looks like a bust. Wish I would have saved a link to show you what ad I'm talking about. Just didn't look right to me. Add said Elyria \ Lorain \ Amherst.

One of my main rules is never contact anyone until you've seen their ad up for at least a month. That's enough time for a couple of reviews to show up & LEO never posts that long. 2nd main rule is never go to a hotel or motel. If girl does not have an incall, I won't see her. Motels are too easy for LEO to watch.

In all seriousness, have any of you ACTUALLY run across any girls being trafficked? In all my years of meeting girls and scouring ads, I've run across just one that I suspected. And I am not naive! This whole human trafficking thing seems to be an urban myth. Am I right or wrong?

Prostitution sounds commonplace while human trafficking sounds sinister and evil and absolves the prostitute of any personal responsibility. Which term do you think the politicians and news media are going to choose? It's mostly a myth. 99% of prostitutes are doing it to support a drug habit.

I have some convos (as much as possible) with the hotel and Spa Asians and the ones I've talked to seem to be able to move around to other spas as the please.

It seems like they could walk out the door anytime they wanted to unless they are being blackmailed or something.

I'm guessing some of the hotel Asians could fall under that and some of the spas too. I also imagine some of the lower end girls are also dealing with pimps or something similar. I do not believe most traveling girls are involved in that tough. Even the eastern European gals seem to like what they do.
