I support this! I've done this many times over the years in different cities. The most recent occasions to mention was last year around Borrell Park off Nebraska south of MLK. Got sucked off behind a tree and then the other time at the playground. Another occasion behind a building near the Nebraska Fowler area. The trick is when you see them, you find parking quick and hope they don't disappear. Non chalantely approach them ask them what's up. 9 times out of 10 they will know of a dark corner to go.

IMHO much less risk and overhead to approach on foot versus operating a motor vehicle. More work though and more risk of missed scoop. If you worried about getting jacked by walking on the street you should be worried about getting jacked by inviting one into an confined space of a vehicle.
