I don't have the personal experience you've had, so you're more in the know than I. It's just girls have told me quite a number of stories over the years about who went to jail based on where something was found in the vehicle. In any event, I hope I'm never caught up in that sort of situation. I appreciate your insight.

I'm aware of that argument, and it's valid. I expected someone would bring this up.
In the incident I noted, if I'd been hauled to jail which the police certainly had a right to do, they likely would have either brought a dog and used a false hit to search my vehicle, or they would have come up with other probable cause. Consenting put me in the clear.
Indeed, it's a gamble to consent to a search. However, I've often found that being as cooperative as I'm comfortable turns out best. If something was found on the passenger side, the girl likely would have caught that charge—not me.

Posts: 140Having strangers in your car, especially street walkers, is all the more reason not to consent to a search. You as the driver is responsible for everything in your car. Officer, that's not my crack pipe under the seat. LOL.

Young, slim little thing, she used to be over off Rambo Lane off Alexis at a little house forever. Then she went to the East. Anyone have a contact for her?

Anyone know what happened to this one? I saw her a few times and haven't heard back from her in a while. I haven't noticed an ad from her recently either. I think she went by Jamie. Feel free to PM if you'd prefer.

I love that video! It's mostly good advice! Shut the f up!
Every lawyer says never consent to a search. I know I often go against conventional wisdom. This scenario is no exception.
Case in point: I was caught in a park with a streetwalker after hours in my vehicle. I was asked if I'd consent to a search. I had nothing to hide, so I did. The head cop later told me because I was cooperative, he's not taking me to jail. I've consented to three searches, and they all ended well for me.
In going to jail, my mugshot would have been posted for my employer and family to see. I would have missed work. I may have lost my job.
Instead, I just had to go to a court date and pay a fine.
Cooperating can save you a lot of trouble. Only do so when it seems to be in your best interest, though.
