I read the bill and it says nothing of the sort. It changes advertising rules, disallows the establishment to be used as a sleeping quarters, requires employees to have a gov issued I'd and the owner to have extensive documentation on hand but, I saw nothing about record keeping for the clients. So, unless I missed it, I'd say this is fake news.

I had to download the PDF version and read it, which provided much more detail than the web link. This is ugly. While window coverings, tint restrictions, clothing requirements, officially not allowing the establishment to serve as sleeping quarters, disallowing operation from 12 am to 5 am, are all simple enough to follow. But the last one presents two hurdles with regard to record keeping. First, clients aren't going to want to present I'd or give name and address of their residences to get a massage & second, the AMP owners are going to struggle with this because of the language issue, and the officials know this. So, they'll probably all have to hire English speaking receptionists to keep records of all the clients.. The clients that won't want to give their information.

I'm no lawyer, but this somehow seems like gov overreach. Massage parlors, just like nail salons and hair cutting places are all considered retail so how can the gov require this step? Hopefully someone or a group will challenge this because that is going to be problematic. It's as if the gov is allowing itself to create rules they know will be hard for AMP owners to follow just so they can be violated, thus closed.

And then this nonsense about Human Trafficking. It's pure BS. They came up with it because it is so much interesting to John Q. Public than a prostitution charge and they (LEO) know that a HT charge has a better chance of getting more traction in the long run. Like I said, this could get ugly.

I always find it patently offensive when the government does something like this. My doctor recommended that I get treated before a visit. So if this passes, Big Brother, can access this portion of your medical history on-demand, for a year after you have been treated. This enables them to harass you at will whether or not you have done anything illegal. Any time the government feels compelled to track medical treatment, beware.

I have no tolerance for human trafficking, but I think that bill 197 is a stupid political stunt. Why not focus on the problem, human trafficking, not the entire business sector or on the consumers of a business service, most of whom have no way of knowing if a particular worker is a victim or a willing employee?

Human trafficking also occurs in other areas of the labor market, especially in agriculture and food service. Using the misguided logic of Bill 197, perhaps farms and restaurants should be required to register any customer who eats produce from a farm or eats at a restaurant. After all, one of their workers might have be been coerced.

Affidavit mentions both T3 R and P411.

I'm sure LEO is aware of both T3 R and P411, it's not a big secret.

So it seems Gina sold P411 to a company based in Spain.
